Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret are here!
We have had a fun day today. Holly and I got a teeth cleaning chew after breakfast and Holly decided to give hers to Old Two Legs to hide until we got back from our walk!
She is very trusting with OTL and her chews. I said she should give it to me to look after but she told me to Woof Off!
Down on the beach we went with May and April who were having fun digging in the sand again.
We had just started when Polly Dog arrived and sat down to watch the ferrets.
Now she is absolutely besotted with May and April and even put 'A Ferret' on her Christmas List but got a Rubber Bone and a new lead instead!

So, the morning was full of invoices and counting stock and generally messing about, well OTL was, Holly and I just went to sleep on our cushions!
Lunchtime it was back down the beach. The weather wasn't up to much and the sun was hiding for most of the time but Holly tried to catch some rays while Wendy was investigating a plastic cup that had contained some funny sniffy stuff. Holly, being such a clever knickers, said that it once contained beer, a silly drink that the Two Legs brought down to the beach to drink instead of fresh water!

OTL was playing around with the shower and the heating system and filling a bucket up with water to check on air bubbles or summat. Freddy just couldn't keep away, every time OTL threw him out of the bathroom, back he would come and in the end OTL let him loose in the shower, just to teach him a lesson!

Freddy got a good towelling down to get him dry again!
You can tell that ferrets are related to otters!
Mind you, not all ferrets like water or are as daft as Freddy Boy!

Evening Daisy, Holly and furballs. Little Archie's mum here, sorry to say that little Arch isn't feeling too well and can't use his paws to type so he is dictating. Glad you all had fun on the beach. What a shame Poppy didn't get a ferret for Christmas, perhaps santa paws will get her one next year. Holly is very trusting of OTL and I can see why she would trust him more than you Daisy, I think you would share her chew with the ferrets. Good to see Wendy exploring all the treasures on the beach but she could share them with Freddy a little more. Loved the video of Freddy in the shower he looks like he's helping OTL. Little Arch went to the vets this morning to have his blood tests done and they were all fine but this afternoon, when he went out in the garden to do a wee, there was a black cat on the doorstep, now little Arch couldn't resist chasing the cat and somehow he's hurt his back leg so back down the vets we went again. He has to go in the morning to have an xray because the vet thinks he's ruptured his cruciate ligament, we're both hoping that he hasn't but we'll let you know tomorrow. He's a bit sleepy now because he's had an injection to stop it hurting too much and he doesn't want to stand up but the other end is working well and he's just eaten his dinner. We're keeping everything crossed that he doesn't get too sore and that he hasn't done too much damage to himself. At the moment little Arch has gone off chasing cats. Have a good evening all and hope you got some decent scoff today. Little Arch sends you some love, licks and sniffs but is trying not to wag cos of that end being painful, even Mr Nipper is feeling sorry for him. Bye for now from little Arch's mum xxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteFirstly so sorry to read about little Arch and glad his mum can sort the keys out on his behalf, get better soon. Poppy is so sweet but probably better off with a new lead than a ferret after all she knows more about leads. So much fun today, Freddie getting a close shave with the shower, Holly would love that, she would even give up her teeth cleaning chew for a chance encounter with a shower, oh sorry, I misunderstood. You would love it here, lots of mud to make into pies we are hoping tomorrow will be dry but not much chance of that but at least we have lots of indoors. xxxxxx
