And then it Rained!

Hello Woofers!

We are back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

Well, first of all, Miss April decided that she was going to stay in the ferret bag all the way around our walk. Except for the last twenty feet when she got out, had a wee and a poo and climbed back ready to get into the travelling cage in the car!

The rest of us had to walk, even though it was starting to rain!

Mind you, it didn't stop me from spotting a new boat, a little enclosed 'Taxi' type of boat scuttling along!

And what class of boat is it?
I had some fun with the rabbits. Holly and I rushed towards them as we normally do and the rabbits disappeared into the brambles. Holly went off sniffing the sniffs while I stood still, perfectly still, not moving still!

Not a hair is moving!
The idea is for the rabbits to think everyone had gone and it was safe for them to come out again.

Which they did!

They were a bit nervous and kept a good eye on anything that moved.

I was getting ready to do my 'High Speed Run' when Holly Chops came bounding around the brambles bushes and messed everything up!

Watch out, here comes the Lumpy One!
That was it for today, no rabbit stew tonight!

Back home we found a Red Admiral that had found it's way into the office and was bashing it's head against the window trying to get out!

When it stopped for a breather Old Two Legs took these pictures.

OK, I give up, how do I get out of here?
OTL, with the help of an A4 sheet of paper managed to scoop up the butterfly and put him out the open window!

OK, I'm ready to go!
Lunchtime came and it was still raining but we headed off to the beach for a run around!

You see, I had complained that we didn't have a stick I could chase and the tennis balls were just a little too big to get into my mouth!

OTL  and I had a rummage through the ferret toy box and came up with a rubber rugby ball that had lost it's squeak!

That was it, as soon as we got to the beach I was straight in after the ball!

I had to have a couple of goes to get used to the ball but in no time I was in and grabbing it like a professional!

Got It!
The tide was right up at the high point and the waves were no more than gentle lap!

That made it easier to swim out and retrieve the ball!

Look at me! I got the ball!
I have now made sure that OTL carries the ball in the ferret bag when we got out, I just have to make sure it is in the right bag depending on the high tide time!

This is easy!
By the time we got back to the car both ferrets were almost as wet as I was and Holly was Damp!

She was almost as wet as me and she hadn't even got into the water!

It was a good job that OTL had one of our towels in the car and we all got a good rub down before heading home!

This afternoon we all had a snooze and Holly reckons she has seen some 'Bambi Burgers' thawing out ready for OTL tonight!

Guess who is going to get a serious mugging tonight!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

  1. Yo little maties. Glad you've had a good day even in the rain. I can't believe you are still seeing new boats. Loved all the pictures. Shame little April didn't feel up to trotting too far on the walk and hope she will feel more like a little walk as the weather cools a bit. You look like a real hunting dog in that picture. I bet Holly chops thought it would be good fun to run in and scare them bunnies in all directions. That rugby ball looks just the job for the water, I'll get my mum to keep an eye out in case she sees some when she's out and about. I hope you get stuck in to those bambi burgers. Well I've been bathed and trimmed ......... yuk but it's over now for a few weeks, then I went down the vets, my mum said my tummy was rumbling so loud last night that she thought I might have the beginnings of a grumbly tum again. I've got some medicine to settle it down but the vet reckons it's probably from me eating the sunflower leaves, so the sunflowers are looking for a new home. Time for me to have a pre dinner snooze so have a lovely evening down there by the seaside. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little (clean, trimmed and non windy) Arch and Mr (strewth he burns my nose off) Nipper xxxxxxxx

  2. That's a wonderful ball I thought it was a Father Christmas when I looked at the pictures first before reading your story. I hope it dries out quickly or the ferret bag will be permanently damp. Pity Miss April didn't feel like having a little run today, hope she picks up soon, don't like to hear that she is poorly. You look like a professional rescuer there watch out the RNLI a new member! What is Holly like, she has no idea of stalking, I just hope OTL has something nice to mug tonight to make up for your lack of rabbit stew. The Red Admiral looked in perfect condition I am so pleased that it escaped with the help of a sheet of paper.
Some news: There is just the place for your holidays in County Clare, Ireland, it's called Nagles Camping and Caravan Park and you can get the ferry to Aran Islands from there. Why go to Scotland and look for Nagles when you can visit their homeland? Hoping for a less damp Wednesday because we are meeting up with Ian and Daisy Girl for a picnic. xxxxxx

  3. Hello little buddies! Guess who came home yesterday, yes mum and Little Bella. I think she missed us as she kept licking our faces and jumping all over us. Bella told us all about her visit to TM'S masterclass. We knew she'd been as she had glitter in her fur. She said that the ladies were very nice and gave her lots of cuddles. She also said that OTL was very tall and gave good hugs.
Well done for spotting yet another new boat today. What a good swimmer you are too. That rugby ball will be great fun to bring back to OTL. Hope you get some bambi burger muggings. Love, licks, wags and woofs from Izzy xxxxxx
