Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!
Ever have one of those days that start out wrong and then it just gets worse?
Well, it has been one of those days today!
Let me tell you all about it!
Early this morning, about ten past five, Old Two Legs woke up with a small nose bleed, nothing to worry about but as he was waking he felt that someone had poked him in his left eye. So, after sorting out his nose, which is nowhere as good looking as mine, he turned his attention to his eye.
Looking in the mirror he saw that half of his eye was blood red and getting worse!
So in his best 'South London Accent' he says to The Missus.....'ere, take a butchers and me eyeball.
TM took one look and was dialling 111 on the telephone to get some 'Technical Advice'.
After a load of questions regarding his current health it was decided that he wasn't suffering a heart attack or a stroke and nor was he suicidal. So, the ambulance was called back to base and The Samaritans went back to manning the phones!
The advice was, get to a doctor and get your blood pressure tested!
He took himself off to the doctor who did all the checks and decided that all was OK and the eye will return to normal over the next couple of weeks!
As OTL didn't feel like driving, TM took us around the Farm before pinching the car to go out!
Holly and I were in the bedroom when this man comes banging at our door! Holly and I give him the 'Woofers Welcome' but it seems he was expected. OTL had arranged for him to come and mend a couple of things in the caravan and get it all sorted before we go away on holiday.
Well, the man was working very hard and finished around midday and has made an appointment to come back next week to fit some other bits he found had failed.
So, the bill for repairs is just a bit more than OTL had planned! Now, he wasn't actually weeping blood but he didn't look too happy!
Lunchtime came and he gathered up Fred and Wendy, got Holly and I into the car and off we went to the beach. We only got as far as the car park 'cos as we started to walk out of the car park the heavens opened up and the rain came down, in bucket loads!
That was it, everyone back in the car and we will come back later!
It was later that Fred and Wendy decided to stay in bed so it was just Holly, me and OTL who hit the beach!
I found a tennis ball on the beach and OTL tossed it into the sea, which was just past High Tide, but I didn't care and splashed straight in to get the ball back!
Come here ball! |
Hang on, this is getting deep! |
The other ball was in the ferret bag and the ferrets were at home snoozing!
OTL said that at one point he was considering taking his boots and jacket off ready to swim out to rescue me!
Finally I got the ball into my mouth and headed back to the beach which was a bit further away than normal!
By the time I got back we had been joined by Polly, Boo and Bryn.
Polly was all for helping me chase the ball into the water but decided to let me fetch it 'cos her legs were too small for deep swimming!
Come on girl, you can do it! |
Come on, gissa tickle! |
They both stayed on the shore watching me play 'Chase' with the ball and young Boo was dead impressed!
Why does she stick her tail up in the air? |
You can keep that lot, I'm staying dry! |
Tomorrow OTL says he will try to have a go at the bathroom floor, that should be fun!
See you tomorrow!
Luv,
Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.
Oh dear that sounds like a not to be repeated Friday, I do hope OTL is alright, shouldn't he be resting his eye, nose and blood supply. Sounds very nasty to me, poor OTL! I hope you are going to make extra fuss of him tonight. What's with this deep water stuff, you should have the ball on a string then you can safely reel it in if it goes too far out. Lovely doggie pictures today, made me smile at the expressions and the little ones sound sensible keeping warm and dry. My friend June sends you a big hug and said your are gorgeous, all of you. I hope your head hasn't grown too big our TM will be calling the doggie 111. xxxxxx
ReplyDeleteYo maties. Well wot a day you've all had. Poor OTL, I bet that Mrs TM poked him in the eye when he was asleep for not doing the bathroom floor yet. I hope his eye gets better very soon, good job he went to a TL doctor and not the vets. I think Sue is right about having the ball on a string, I got a bit worried for you Daisy. Lovely pictures today. I was in deep trouble last night, at one point my mum chucked me out of the bedroom, I thought I was going to have to sleep on the floor on the landing on my own. I was just having a little dig under the bed, my mum kept interrupting me telling me not to dig but I needed to know wot was under the bed, my mum made me cry when she shut me out of the bedroom. Hope you all have a good evening and I hope that poor OTL is getting lots of TLC from everyone. Maybe he should have this weekend off and put his feet up. Hope you get some decent muggings. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and Mr Nipper xxxxxxxx
