Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!
Well, today is the first day that Eric is allowed out along the Sea Wall Walk. All of us woofers have been stabbed with a big needle to protect us against Distemper and some other stuff that is nasty!
Seeing how there are a load of woofers visiting our Sea Wall Old Two Legs reckons it is a good idea to get us all done!
Eric, he is the last to get done and now it's ten days after his jab and the vet reckons it has now got to all the places it should get to and Eric is clear to go out!
OTL had already adjusted a harness and put Eric's tag with his name and telephone numbers to call, the harness is the one that used to belong to Mr Brambles, so it has been nicely worn in and should be comfortable until OTL can order up another new one for Eric.
We started off with Eric and May in the same carry cage but May started to show off and there was a bit of a kerfuffle so OTL had to use two travelling cages!
Down on the sea front OTL decided to carry both ferrets until we got onto the grass path so that Eric could get his first sight and sniff of grass!

We introduced him to the shells and the sand and the Sea Weed. Holly told him not to get near to the sea 'cos he would get wet and soggy!
'What's Wet and Soggy?' says Eric marching towards the water!
Of course, the waves were slapping onto the beach but it wasn't High Tide yet and the water was creeping further up the beach and pretty soon Eric's paws were getting wet!

'What the Ferret was That' says Eric as he came back up the beach with water dripping off the end of his tail!

Back on the grass again Eric was sniffing all the sniffs and asking what they were and where they came from!
He was having a great time!

Back home he had a rampage around the house but as soon as he put his head on the bed he was asleep!
May says we have worn him out!
Lunchtime Fred and Wendy were looking forward to their walk but when we got to the car park we noticed that the tide had gone out, shame, Eric would have loved that!
Today it was Holly's turn to lead the march to the beach and off she set at a fast pace.

Tomorrow The Missus is off to her Master Class so OTL is going to try to get all us woofers in one picture for the Christmas Card!
Now that is going to be fun!

Evening little maties. Well that was good to hear the Eric liked his first venture out in the big wide world. I hope he soon learns about the waves though, he don't want to get WET, Wet is not good. Me and Holly chops know about wet. I bet sniffing all those sniffs wore him out. He must have been very proud wearing Mr Brambles harness, that is a big harness to fill. Hope Miss May wasn't too disappointed that he fell asleep when he got back to his bed. Loved all the pictures today. Look at Holly chops leading the pack. We're all looking forward to seeing your xmas card picture, so I hope you feel in the mood to pose. Hope Mrs TM enjoys her masterclass tomorrow. Well I've been and said good bye to my lovely vet Catriona, it was her last day today, she had a good cuddle with me and wasn't put off by Brenda's lipstick still on the top of my head, where she'd been kissing me earlier, the wimmin just love me. Catriona had a little tear in her eye when we said good bye and I know she'll miss me and I'll miss her, my mum says if it weren't for Catriona I wouldn't still be here. Have a lovely evening all with plenty of muggings and I look forward to hearing of the adventures tomorrow. I must go cos my boy has come home starving and my mum might need some help cooking the gammon steaks ......... hmmmmmmm.......... sniffs. ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I wish OTL good luck with the photo shoot, maybe he should be a bit crafty (not crafty like TM, crafty as in crafty)and do the shoot in batches and blend them together so that it looks as though you were all together. Wonderful to see Eric having such a good time and it seems that he like the water, in the summer there will be no stopping him and he will have to have a set of blue water wings. Puts Holly to shame, her who is afraid of the wet, tut tut. So Archie is having gammon steaks as well, must have got the idea from TM, we had smoked haddock so I am sure you wouldn't like that, I don't see you as a fishy doggie! Suppose to rain all day tomorrow so good luck, try not to get too wet, no cooking tomorrow we are off for sausage and mash followed by apple crumble and custard. Our friend has just acquired Windows 10 and Michael is required to show her how it works so I can have a rest he he. xxxxxx
ReplyDeleteOh it looks like Eric is going to really enjoy his walks on the beach. He was very brave in the waves. I think Mr Brambles was watching over him as he was wearing his harness. I hope you all behave yourself for the photo tomorrow. Mum kept your photo from last year. I hope she doesn't get any ideas for us.
