Bye Bye 2016!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here to say Bye Bye to this year.

January this year Miss April first went to the vet 'cos she wasn't as well as she could be and got diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy! That is a heart condition and she needed medicine to keep down the fluid that was building up in her body.

She was a very brave ferret and tried to join in all the games but she often got tired and needed a carry or some rest.

Miss Wendy had an operation on her tummy to stop her having babies and the vet did a super job 'cos her scar was very small, not like the one that I had when I had my tummy done!

We had a super time in May up in Scotland and Old Two Legs took us all over the place visiting new beaches and climbing all over the rocks!

The Ladies at the Allhallows Croppers kindly helped finance an operation on Rufus, a ferret that got handed into the Harrietsham Ferret Rescue and we were told he is now fully recovered and living life to the full!

A Super Big Licky Kiss to all the  Croppers for that.

It was a super summer with loads of sunshine and swimming!

I don't think I have had so much swimming in my life! I managed to get Holly Chops in for a paddle but as normal, she declined to go any further in than her paws!

Early in September we lost Miss April, she had a heart attack on her way back from a walk on the beach, a sad day for us all.

Towards the end of October Miss May went off to Harrietsham Ferret Rescue to be introduced to some ferrets and after a few scuffles, she came back home with a young ferret called Eric de Ferret!

Well, it took a little while before they settled down with each other but now they are inseparable and playing all the time!

We got news of Izzy and her three pups, a super Christmas present.

Young Archie Babe has kept us informed on the goings on in his kennel and how he sufferers at the hands of the Poodle Parlour and we reckon he has paid more to the vet this year than Holly, the ferrets and me all together!

Talking of vets.

Eric has got to go for an operation next early year to stop him chasing the ladies! We haven't told him yet 'cos OTL didn't want to spoil his Christmas!

OTL says he is going to 'Get a Quote' from our vet.

It has been amazing just how warm the Autumn has been and even Winter, so far, if this carries on like this we may cancel Winter all together!

Mind you, we still have January and February to get through yet!

So, as we finish 2016 everyone is in good health, the ferrets are all cuddly, Holly and I get and give cuddles every night.

The Missus is looking forward to a super holiday in Texas with her mates and OTL has booked holidays in Scotland and Dorset!

So far, next year looks like it's going to be a good one!

From all of us here to all of you out there.

A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Loads of Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Evening little maties on the last night of 2016. Well it's been a busy year for you and your Diary Daisy, all the important things you've reported to us, Holly chops has educated us with all her knowledge. We were all very sorry to hear when Miss April was diagnosed with her illness but as you say, she was a very, very brave little ferret and she put up a brave fight which she sadly lost but we will never forget how brave she really was. Well done to Miss May for letting little Eric take up residence in her tower and for letting him have snuggles and playing nicely with him. Miss Wendy and Freddie make us laugh with their antics. Well done OTL for all the photos of the residents of Godwin Towers and well done Mrs TM for keeping them all under control and getting the ladies at her clubs to help out with Rufus, we're all so pleased things turned out well for him. We hope little Eric gets over his op very quickly. It's been lovely hearing from Hamish, little Bella and well done Izzy on having her puppies. Auntie Sue, we love to hear when you tell Daisy wots going on with you and Michael and Sparkle the hamster. I've made my new years resolutions, I'm going to try to go to the vets less and I'm making a bigger effort at going to the groomers even more less. We were all looking forward to spending tonight together but sadly my boy has been called into work, there is a problem where he works and they need him to go in at 7 tonight and stay there all night until 10 tomorrow morning. My mum isn't very happy about it but he should get loads of dosh and he'll have another friend with him and with a bit of luck he'll be able to Skype Mrs Boy so it's not all bad. The whizz bangs have started here but we hope that it's too cold and wet where you are so that Miss Holly doesn't get bothered by them. Have a lovely evening, make sure you get decent muggings on the last night of 2016. We'll be going to bed early as my mum is going to work tomorrow morning so we'll wish you and all your readers a very happy new year, may your troubles be few and your blessings be many. Lots of love, lots of wags, lots of sniffs from little Arch, my mum, my boy, Mrs boy and not forgetting Mr Nipper xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  3. Hello for the last time in 2016 and looking forward to reading all about your adventures in 2017, as you said it wasn't all good, a few sad times as always but then a great number of great times. We have had a very good year in our Motorhome/Camper Van/Winnie 2 Shoes (as she is a second Winnie, changed in March). Been visited by our own Daisy and learnt alot about building Lego, the ferrets would love Lego I can see Godwin Towers Lego'd beyond belief, all those nooks and crannies. Michael is going on Friday to Guys Hospital to see what operation he needs on his sinuses, so life is on hold at the moment. Reading your Diary is a great pleasure and sometimes when I have been out or busy or something gets in the way and I suddenly think "Daisy's Diary" and rush to read it, you have been very good 349 days you have told us all about your lives. The Turbo Charged Broomstick must have gone wrong or TM has lost her desire to fly it in the early hours, still I love reading about you all. Have a lovely start to the New Year and Archie will be able to read this when his mum gets home from work and we will be looking to see how long he keeps up his Resolutions. Happy New Year to you all including Archie and his mum, also others who read but don't like to comment. xxxxxx and for 2017 XXXXXX

  4. Well it's been wonderful sharing this year with you all, and getting to meet up a few times too. You've had sad days, happy days, grumbly tum days and spring in your step days. Days for counting boats and days of counting sunrises and sunsets. We've loved every day of your adventures by the sea. We've enjoyed hearing about Archie Babe with his allergies and trips to the vet but especially about how Mr Nipper has settled in and become slightly more amenable!! We've been on your travels with you and heard all about OTL's trip to Orkney to take photos and buy the best whisky and a special present for TM. We've heard about Aunty Sue and Uncle Mike and their adventures in the Winnebagomobile! But mostly we've loved all of OTL's wonderful photos of you, the ferrets and your daily adventures on the beach. So the year started with just Hamish and I but Little Bella joined us in July and now I end this year as a mum to 3 gorgeous little puppies whom I adore. Thank you for the laughs and the kindness too, especially when you shared your doggy scoff with us in the caravan. Wishing you lots of adventures in 2017 and we look forward to sharing them with you all. Lots of love, licks, sniffs and woofs from Izzy, Hamish, Little Bella and Molly de Cat. Xxxxxxx

P.S. Hi, Jeanette here, Thanks for being the wonderful people and woofers that you are. I promise to email more photos of the pups, who are become quite chubby little roly poly bundles of joy. Izzy is a brilliant mum but still loves to have her cuddles with mum.
Eileen, I want to thank you for making me so welcome at Alhallows and for all the good laughs. That estuary humour is one of the things I miss the most living in Cumbria - obviously my children and grand daughter come first.
Lots of love, hugs and best wishes to you all, Jeanette xx pps Neil sends his love too x
