We have arrived in Gretna and at the camp site we got put onto a 'Disabled Pitch'!
Holly said it was 'cos Old Two Legs is looking old and knackered!
I said it was 'cos he limped to the reception after getting cramp in his foot!
Really it was 'cos there were twenty eight Dutch caravaners arriving and they all wanted to be together.....aaaaaah!
Still we don't care, 'cos it is easier to get in and out of the site!
We left Carradale at eight this morning and as we were about to go the sunshine poked it's head past the clouds to wish us a safe journey!

The Missus reckons that it would be a good idea to come back again next year 'cos she just loves the beach being so close to the caravan and she has a thing about poking the Nelly Fish with her boots!
Strange TL!
Next year we will try to get to get over to Gigha 'cos that is supposed to be just right for taking photos, which should keep OTL happy!
One thing we did notice down in Carradale was the bird life was so trusting! I mean, there was OTL folding up the awning from the caravan and there at his feet was a female Blackbird hopping along behind him searching for the worms! It was getting closer than the Robin who came to visit as well!
Tomorrow we will be dropping in to see Hamish and Izzy and The Gang which should be a load of fun and we have been promised a visit to the local woods for a sniff!
Then, on Monday it is off for home!
The ferrets say they are looking forward to getting back in their normal cage 'cos it has got more room than the travelling cages and of course, a rampage around the house!

Can't wait to see you and share our sniffs with you. Mum says you might also get to go to the pub in our village. The landlady lets woofers in and gives them biscuits while the TLs drink beer and eat roast beef or steak. I think I know which you'd prefer! See you tomorrow. Love Izzy xx
ReplyDeleteEvening Mcmaties up there in the norf but not so far norf as you were. Glad to hear you've all arrived safely at your next stop. Love the pictures. Hope you managed a good sniff of your overnight stop. Them dutch people is alright but they're very hard to understand. I wonder if them birds taste like chicken, did you manage a close sniff to see if they sniffed like chicken? Wots with poking nelly fish Mrs McTM? Did you and Holly chops enjoy your doggie bag last night, I hope there was enough scoff in there to keep you happy. Enjoy your visit to Izzy and co tomorrow, how exciting, sniffs in the woods. I've had a bit of a lazy day, went for my walk early cos it's still very warm here then this afternoon me and my mum had a nice siesta. I do love siestas with my mum, she snuggles me up close. I'm off for an early night tonight cos my mum will get me up to take up my guard duty early tomorrow, while she goes to work. Have a lovely evening all, hope OTL is over his cramp. ReplyDeleteVery soon you will no longer be the McGodwins, how sad but all your friends will be out welcoming you all home, the vet must have missed his money and OTL has helped the Scottish community although perhaps not in the way he intended. Enjoy all the sniffs in Hamish's woods and have a really super time. Glad you are planning for next year,looking forward to seeing more of Scotland when you are home with a better internet. We have had a visitor, a little red car as its neighbour is having a block paved garden, it takes its TL to work at 3-30 am and brings him home at 8-30 am but we don't hear him, a few more days yet, it reminds me of Archie's mum and her early starts but maybe not that early. Safe journey to you all, enjoy the pub and I hope they have some extra good treats for the important visitors, I hope they know how famous you all are. xxxxxx
