Wot's your computer called?

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, wot a story we have to tell! Old Two Legs has just changed over bookkeepers and decided to install a new 'Accounts Package' and to get a new computer with an up to date operating system.

Now, if anyone had tried this you will know that there are some serious button pushing to be done and a very steep learning curve to manage!

Now, we all know how frustrating  this can be especially when things go wrong. It is in times like this that we discover that OTL has a whole new set of words that he uses to try to influence the computers actions. The only trouble is, he uses all these new words that we are sure are not the real names for the computer.

Holly and I kept very quiet and we hid downstairs, not daring to get anywhere near OTL, so, that is the reason we didn't get to the computer last night!

Today has been better, he has been working through everything and is slowly 'building' the new system.

This morning The Missus left us and headed over to the village hall, she had got fed up listening to the all the name calling!

We headed off to the beach for our morning run. Holly and I were doing a bit of 'Dig and Whizz' while OTL was taking pictures of a big husky type woofer!

Just the one photo, OK?
Holly had decided that she would do a good impression of a beached whale!

Just catching a few rays!
Lunchtime Freddy and Wendy had some fun digging a hole in the sand and as OTL had brought a ball, Holly and I decided we would have some fun!

How about we extend it that way?
We both dug a big hole and then hid the ball at the bottom!

Let's see if OTL digs it up again!
Down on the football field we had a game of 'Chase the Ball' !

So where is the goal posts now?
It was funny seeing the ferrets watching us and knowing they wanted to play ball as well but we also knew that they would run off with the ball and hide it in their travelling cage!

How about you trip them up while I nick the ball?
OTL has been working on the computer but things have settled down now 'cos he took a break to wash the caravan so we will be travelling with a clean van!

TM has just come back from the 'Master Class' and it seems she has had a great time sloshing the glue and glitter all over the place!

Hey! Wot good news, Archie Babe has reduced the visits to the vet! Yay! Never mind the cuddles, it's those big sharp needles they stab you with!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Evening little maties. I did miss you last night. I don't know wot our computer is called, funny you should ask that, it seems to change its name from time to time but I can't spell any of the names cos they seem to be a foreign language and I only speak woofish. Glad to see you had time to go out and have a bit of fun in between all that IT stuff. Hope you were careful when you played football, remember my football injury from a couple of weeks ago, although I didn't need to get stabbed when I went to the vets, I don't get stabbed very often, mostly my visits seem to consist of lots of cuddles. That was very sneaky of Wendy and Freddy to plot to trip you up and pinch your ball. Good to hear that OTL had his window of opportunity to wash the caravan. Now why wasn't Mrs TM making poor OTL lots of cups of tea while he was slaving away over a hot computer? That looks quite a big woofer that OTL took a picture of. Loved todays pictures. I'm having an early night cos I'm on guard duty and boy sitting services in the morning while my mum goes to work. I hope the expense of a new computer doesn't mean a lack of treats, so happy muggings and have a good evening all. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and Mr Nipper xxxxxxxxx

  2. I missed reading about your adventures but glad that TM told us that you had a technical issue so might be late, we worry that some mishap has prevented you from typing but a new machine, wow that is good what ever name it is called! Lovely husky type woofer today, a bit big but his servants look nice, maybe you will see him again. Pleased that you have a new ball, just don't go loosing it by digging a big hole because then you can't find it and it has gone for ever. Perhaps it was as well that a Master Class was on the cards, get it, on the cards, well I laughed, it meant that TM was away from adding extra vocabulary as she often puts words on her cards and they may not be appropriate. Hope the food isn't in short supply with the extra expense and I hope the caravan stays clean until you go fossil hunting. xxxxxx
