A Hunting Day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back again!

Wot sort of day have you had?

Our day started off too early for me and we landed on the beach while the sky was still dark!

Gloomy or Wot?
We were all glad to get back home and start a game that we play every so often.

It's like this.

Holly and get to have a snooze on the bed while Old Two Legs  cleans out the ferret cages. The ferrets get a free run of the house so they can charge about having wot they call 'Ferret Fun'. Roughly translated, that means, let's get in every cupboard and hidy hole possible to nick anything that takes their fancy and if they can eat it, so much the better!

So, it starts off with Eric and May charging down the stairs and heading for the kitchen!

Now, Holly and I have got boxes of teeth cleaning chews and Bonio biscuits and nibbly mixer bits neatly stacked on the shelves of the butchers block thingy The Missus keeps in the kitchen.

The ferrets don't climb up the legs, they jump straight onto the shelf and into the boxes! That is, they grab everything they can before TM or OTL grabs the boxes and puts them out of reach.

By then the little thieves were legging it up stairs to find places to store their ill gotten gains!

After the cages were all done and the ferrets tucked up, Holly and I were let out of the bedroom.

The hunt begins!

Holly and I use our noses to locate the area where the goodies are hidden but the ferrets hide the nibbles in places where we can't get to without help. OTL gets a big woof and we jump up and give his chair a good shove!

That gets his attention!

Off we go and indicate the area where it's hidden and OTL starts moving boxes and chairs and other stuff so that Holly or I can get in and snaffle the treat!

It's a good game and Holly and I even pick up the ferret food they hide as well!

Talking of food, I think OTL has got salad and some sort of meat tonight!

Let's hope he doesn't hide it before we get there!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Evening little maties. I don't think I'd like to live with things wot pinch my scoff, I'd have to have a word with my mum and tell her to hide my scoff out of reach. Mind all my scoff is out of my reach anyways. I woke up when my boy got in this morning at 6.15, he came and gave me a cuddle. I must admit I do miss him when he's on nights, he works 6 till 6 and it's a long time for me to be without him. My mum went back to work today so I missed her as well, even though my boy was home until 5.30 and she got home just past 6. I went for my walk but I didn't see any woofer mates again, I don't know where they are these days. I've been helping my mum make her cards again today. Tomorrow my mum is home all day so we'll have lots of cuddles. I hope OTL doesn't hide the meat for his dinner from you. Happy muggings and hope you all have a good evening, pssst do you want me to send down one of my muzzles so that the ferrets can't nick your scoff? Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and Mr Nipper xxxxxxxxxx

  2. So today was like yesterday you have been hunting again and finding more ferret stash, they are clever little warriors, more clever than TM who hides your food and treats in full ferret view, clever is TM! he he We have been church visiting today in Bredhurst so TM can have a look at Michael's blog when he publishes as she knows the area very well from her teenage years! Archie does get lots of fuss, I bet he is pleased that he doesn't have to share affection with a hundred ferrets. xxxxxx
