We have Arrived!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, we have arrived at the camp site, not as exciting as Scotland, no mountains!
However, wot we do have here, that we don't normally get, is a big field in which we can run, Off the Lead!

It's just great! Loads of sniffs, there are rabbits around cos we can sniff them but so far, we have only seen one!

Yesterday was fun, as normal, Holly and I rode in the back of the car with the ferrets. We headed off and as normal, we woofed at the truck drivers and blew raspberries at the drivers behind us!

Now, normally we go out for our walk around midday, so, come that time Holly and I felt the need of a sniff and a wee! We set about letting The Missus and Old Two Legs know we needed a walk, NOW!

The fact that we were batting along the M40 didn't matter, we wanted a wee and NOW!

Finally we pulled into a motorway service station and parked up, Holly and I were straight out and proceeded to put our mark on the place!

We were soon back on the road and before long we were looking for the entrance to the caravan park. As we drove down the road to the site we noticed that the sun was a funny colour, it was sort of misty red!

Holly knew what it was and explained that dust from North Africa had been sucked up by the hurricane called Ophelia and was now being dropped on us! Sounds a bit technical to me but Holly Chops is a 'Technical Woofer!'

Sahara Sun?

The site is very well laid out and it is all hard standing but the hard standing is the very small shingle type of stone which seems to jam in the tread of OTL's boots, so, every time he comes into the caravan there is a pile of stones on the carpet!

TM is not happy and neither is OTL when he steps on the stones, without his boots on!

The ferrets are super pleased with the field, loads of space and loads of ferrety type sniffs!

A little sniff here, a little sniff there, that's what it's all about!
Holly and I are always keeping a sharp eye open for rabbits that get stuck in the middle of the field!

OK Rabbits, paws up, where are you?
Back in the caravan we have sort of taken over the bench seat that OTL uses, he is now been pushed to one end while Holly and I stretch out and make ourselves comfortable!

This is MINE, OK!
The site has Wi-Fi but not as you would expect. The reception building, which is a big sort of shed has Wi-Fi but only inside the shed, so we have to write up the blog, save the pictures, then wander down to the shed and find somewhere to sit and upload into the Internetty!

Now, as wonderful as this site is, there is always a downer somewhere and we have already found our downer!

There we are, in the field having a sniff , when we jump back with a whopping great burr on our nose!

Nasty Spiky burrs!
OTL, has to pick it all out of our muzzles before we can carry on sniffing!

It's a hard life being a woofer in this place!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Yo maties. So glad to hear you've all arrived safely. Are you on the level this time? I saw that funny sun yesterday. I'm glad Holly chops knows wot it was. Pleased to see you've bagged your spot on the sofa. That field looks good, you can have a right good run in it and the ferrets can pick up all the sniffs and point you and Holly to the really sniffiest ones if you have trouble finding them yourselves. The pictures look really good. I've been to the vets today to get my butt checked and the good news is, my butt is perfick and it don't need squeezing. I don't have to go back for a month, well we'll see about that, I've got other ideas, you know I like to go and keep up with the gossip and the cuddles. My mum reckons the old vets were coming it cos they made me go every 3 weeks to get my butt squeezed but this vet say there's nothing wrong with my butt, well I knew that. My boy is off work tomorrow so I don't have to do guard duty when my mum goes to work, my boy is doing the guarding while I snooze. I've had a busy day today, first I met up with Boris the bounce on my morning walk and we discussed the sniffs. Then I went to see Brenda for some treats and cuddles. This afternoon I've been helping my mum in the garden, she cut the grass then there was the leaves to be cleared up. I think I did a good job of helping ....... my mum mumbled something about it taking 3 times as long but we got it all done. I'm still chewing over ideas about getting out of the bath and groom on Thursday, my mum is getting a bit suspicious. Marianne is coming Saturday to slap glue with my mum so I can get a few extra cuddles. Hope you all have a lovely evening, hope the muggings are good where you are. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and Mr Nipper xxxxxxxxxxx

  2. You all look nicely settled in apart from OTLs boots but at least he doesn't need his crampons to get back. Your internetty looks very nice and sorted as long as the weather is dry. It was dark here early yesterday and the sky was still a bit strange this morning, some cars had lights on although it was daylight. That field looks just the job for you all, plenty of sniffs but be careful of those burr things they look nasty. Carry on enjoying yourselves and keep us posted. Archie, now you behave yourself, you put your mum through a lot of problems, going to the groomers keeps you beautiful and the vets keeps you well while your mum keeps your tummy full!!! There that's my say. Daisy and Holly enjoy the comfort and I hope the catering is up to standard xxxxxx

  3. Glad to hear that you have arrived safely and are all settled in. That Holly dog is a very clever sort of woofer knowing all about the funny coloured sky yesterday. I had to go onto the news channel to find out what was happening. I tried to send a comment on Sunday's blog to say how beautiful you looked after your shampoo and set, though you did look a little frazzled. Today I saw one of TM's cards on telly today. She is getting so famous. Have a happy holiday tell them all x x
