It's a bit chilly today!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, after yesterdays fun and games we were wondering if today the snow would all melt and it would get warmer.

The snow is still here and the wind makes it a bit colder than yesterday!

Ho Hum!

Although there was very little snow landing on us, the roads were one big ice rink around here. We didn't even go down to the sea side 'cos Old Two Legs didn't fancy driving the car. You see, we are normally the last place to get and salt or grit when it snows and there are a number of rather dodgy spots when ice gathers and they just happen to be where there are ditches on both sides of the road!

So, that was it, we got a walk over the football field and across the field!

When we got behind the trees it wasn't so bad but once into the open it felt like we were going to get our tails blown off or frozen!

We have still evaded the dreaded wash and haircut. Can you imagine us with 6mm of hair in this weather?

So, we had to put up with being brushed and de tangled and OTL is still telling us that as soon as the weather changes then out comes the electric shaver!

One thing about the wash is the drying, you know, that jet powered 'Dog Blaster'.

We got some ear protectors delivered and OTL is expecting us to wear this thing over our ears to help reduce the 'Scary Bit' when he dries us!

I tried it on this afternoon, I was not impressed!

OK, this is one side!

And this is the other side!
Then, just for a change, OTL took the small Hoodie off me and put the big one over my ears!

OK, it's bigger and it comes half way down my neck!
You know, I could wear this as a scarf over my ears when we go out in the cold. Together with my Flying Jacket I'd be right warm!

Well, it would keep my neck warm in the cold wind!
OTL took it off me and I managed to get back under the desk and onto my bed!

This is much better and I've got my ball as well!
So, that has been it for today, windy, cold and snow on the ground, just a dusting but still blooming cold!

If the clouds part tonight we may see some Aurora in the sky, but being so far south it will be low on the horizon, so don't expect miracles!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

  1. Yo maties. Well I have to say you do look very fetching in that hoodie. I think I might have to ask my mum to get a couple of them for me, one for my head and one for my butt. That wind blows straight up yer tail in this weather, now one of them hoodie things would keep my tail down so the wind couldn't freeze my little butt. We've had a snoozie day, my mum came home from work tired and cold and she said it was more like skating on the ice than walking. I've just run out into the garden when I need to wee and then I run straight back in, it's called speed weeing and I think I'd get a gold medal for being so quick. I definitely don't like the cold on my poor little tootsies. I think OTL is very wise not to drive, my mum won't take the car out here either cos our roads aren't gritted and we don't have any ditches. We've caught up with all our back recordings of Endeavor now so we've got nothing to watch, until tonight when the new Durrells is back on. My mum is doing her chores to get ready for tomorrow then doing some scoff for her and my boy and me. Hope you're all warm and snuggly down there and have enough scoff in so you don't have to go out. Happy muggings. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxx

  2. Oh Daisy you are so lovely and fluffy why would anyone want to shear you like a sheep, I notice you were giving OTL the Green evil eye when he took your picture and I don't blame you. It remains to be seen how good these hoodies really work, still maybe TM could use them when she is pegging the washing out. You said it was cold, well it was bitter bitter cold here and when we went to a birthday party past Ashford on the way to Folkestone this afternoon it started to snow, only small flakes but we left at 4pm in case we were snowed out of our road. As it was the road was better when we returned than it had been when we left. Nice food, you would have loved it, even chicken, lots of chicken and sarnies of all descriptions! At least in this cold weather Archie isn't stopping to have a nibble on anything he shouldn't! Keep warm everyone and glad you have found the money slot for the electric stuff. xxxxxx
