Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret are here again!
Now then, paws up all of you who know that meteorologically, spring started on the first of March!
Well done, you have been listening to the weather forecasts!
Judging by all the snow and cold winds we rather think that the 20th March should be the beginning, well, it is if you go by the astronomical calendar!
When we were out this morning wandering along the slushy path beside the field Old Two Legs spotted this.
The first buds of Spring? |
If I do this my nose is even closer to the ground! |
It's green but is it wheat or barley! |
The ferrets have really taken to the dehydrated chicken strips and when Freddy gets his he rushes off to a corner and doesn't come out until it is all gone!
He has also taken to giving the chicken strip to OTL to hold while Freddy chews lumps off the end until his teeth get too close to OTL's fingers!
We really didn't want to go out at lunchtime 'cos the chews were only half chewed but OTL insisted, so, off we went looking for a sniff!
When we got to the field we had a shock, loads of green stuff poking up in the air!
It's a bit soggy and a bit wet and a bit cold! |
An afternoon well spent, chewing and snoozing and mugging OTL for some more chicken strips!
See you tomorrow and with a bit of luck we will get to go walkies down on the sea front!
Bye bye for now.
Luv,
Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.
Yo little maties wot ain't snowed in anymore. I'm pleased to hear the snow is going, we've still got quite a bit hanging around but it is slowly starting to go. My mum went for a walk up the shops this morning on her own cos I don't do snow. My mums cousin called in this morning cos he was driving back home to Frodsham so I made a big fuss of him cos it might be years before I see him again and he's a very nice chap. Sounds like there was a lot of chewing going on in Godwin Towers today. I'm glad you got some decent scoff today. Freddie knows how to get the best out of his scoff and OTL, does OTL have to sit still holding the chicken strip for a long time or does Freddie get thru it quite quickly? Hope Mrs TM didn't miss her masterclass too much and that she got to slap her glitter and glue around at home today. Loved the pictures today and it's nice to see something with some buds on. Hope you manage to get your walkies on the beach tomorrow but I wouldn't recommend a swim just yet cos I still think it's very, very cold. I'm going to have a snuggly evening in the warm with my mum and then an early night cos I'm on guard duty in the morning. Have a lovely evening all, stay warm and cosy and hope there are still some muggings to mug. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteAh good to see some green and even better to see the buds showing, I’m not sure about this Spring thing being 1st March, I’m it never was that early. Those chicken strips sound fun and Godwin Towers must be a noisey place to be with all the chewing that is going on. What does TM think of them, is she having a chew or is she more into the apples like OTL? I do hope you can get to the sea wall tomorrow it has been a long time since you have seen the sea, take Archie’s advice and don’t go for a swim it will be far too cold. We are hoping to go shopping, haven’t actually run out of food and I am not sure what the supermarket is going to have on the shelves but it will be nice to get out of the house. So you just take care and I will report tomorrow xxxxxx
