Wot a Windy Wet Day!

Hi Woofers!

It's the Soggy Doggy's again!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Now, we have been looking at the weather forecasts over the last couple of days and listened to the doom mongers on the TV Weather Show. You could hear the delight in their voices as they were forecasting doom and gloom and rain and cold and....well you know how it is.

After a while you get used to all the doom laden warning as most of the time they happen to someone else up country!

Not today, this morning when we went out the wind was up to gales force and the horizontal rain seemed more like bullets trying to blind you!

Horizontal Rain and a Beach Wash please!

Even Old Two Legs had to walk backwards for a while on our way back to the car!

He didn't have his Gortex Trousers on so he got soaked to the skin from his waist down to his boots!

Soggy OTL!

Mind you, we only had our rain coats on so we also got soaked from our tummies to our claws!

Soggy Doggies!

Lunchtime was no better except that OTL found his plastic Gortex trousers and instead of getting soaked with rain, he got all sweaty around his tail!

The rain was still horizontal and the sea was washing the beach right up to the sea wall!

It will be fun to see what is left of the beach when the tide goes out!
Further along the sea wall the sea was jumping over the Sea Wall and we hear that someone got washed off a Sea Wall a bit further down the coast!

Tomorrow it should be more of the same so we are planning just a quick wee and a walk tomorrow, then back home for a snooze and a nibble of OTL's latest batch of Beef Jerky made with Maple Syrup and Whisky!

As OTL says, 'Wot a Waste of good Whisky'!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Yo maties. Well it's been cold, windy and raining here all day as well, now I don't like it, I don't do WET. We've got lovely blossom on our tree and it's all getting blown off. I've been on guard duty for most of the day but my boy has got the next 2 days off and my mum has the next day and a half off so I should be getting plenty of cuddles and wrestles. Now I've got to go to the vets tomorrow to be stabbed against distemper, hardpad and hepatitis, I'm not bothered cos I know I'll be getting plenty of cuddles. Hope whoever got washed off the sea wall near you can swim, although I bet it was very cold in the water ............ see that's why I don't do water. I think I'd got on a walk near the sea wall with a lifebelt on. Hope the weather improves soon. Hope you got decent scoff after you came home wet and soggy. Have a lovely evening all and hope there are plenty of snackettes. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  2. Maple syrup and whiskey beef jerky, ummmm not sure, maple syrup and pancakes, whiskey and hot milk with sugar for a sore throat and beef with roast potatoes and mustard for dinner. Perhaps the jerky makes all the difference, what is a jerky anyway? I have been looking at all this rain around and got very damp this afternoon when I went to Hoo church but it had rained st home as well but at least I would have been in the dry, the church had a roof leak! According to Michael it will be a warm dry Tuesday so you may be safe, no doubt you will tell me. Hope Archie doesn’t suffer any leaks from the vets needles, poor little defenceless chap maybe you could send him some of this jerky xxxxxx
