Hi Woofers!
Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here on the last day of 2018!
It's been a mixture of a year for us all, we lost Freddy de Ferret to old age earlier in the year but have been blessed with little Monty de Ferret who has fallen in love with Miss Wendy and keeps her on her claws!
Miss May is showing signs of age now but she is looked after by Eric de Ferret who gives her loads of cuddles when she is not feeling well and plenty of chases when she has the pickle in her!
Holly and I have been doing well for our age and we haven't been to the vets so often and cost Old Two Legs a fortune!
We have all been away on some great holidays in the caravan and had some super times on the beaches!
OTL had some excitement when we were on holiday, the car decided to throw a wobbler and catch a cold in the engine and had to be 'Rescued' by the garage and driven to the menders to pick up a loan car, (250 miles) then do the whole trip again to take The Missus to a Craft show, another 250 miles, then do it all again to collect the mended car and TM and back to the caravan site, (another 250 miles)!
It's a good job OTL likes driving!
We are planning to go back to the same beach and caravan site in 2019, twice!
Claws crossed that the car behaves its self and claws crossed for some sunny weather like wot we had this year!
Today is the last day in 2018 and OTL had to go out at lunch time so we were walked around the foot ball field by TM! That means we don't get our normal walk and Eric had to stay in the cage and miss out on his ride in the bag!
Never mind, he should get a walk tomorrow!
OTL says that he will have a slurp of Single Malt Whisky tonight to 'See
the New Year in' and he might have one earlier to see the old year out!
It's tonight we expect that there will be the normal Whizz Bangs at midnight, so Holly will have to stay cuddled up to OTL until it all goes quiet!
Better still, let's hope they have all run out of Whizz Bangs and we get a noise free night!
We wish you all a Happy New Year and may all your wishes be granted, except for the next Euro Millions numbers 'cos we want them here, just so we can have fillet steak every day for 2019!

Yo gang. Sometimes I feel sad when an old year ends, thinking back to all the friends who started the year with us, but they stay with us even when they've gone cos we remember all the funny little things they used to do. Mind, we do meet new friends who also make us laugh and who become very loved so it's not all sad. I'll keep my paws crossed that the car behaves itself when you take it on holiday this year. I look forward to the new year to hear about all the new things you lot down there will be getting up to. I might even think up a few little plans for myself as well. Now I know it might not seem like it but I've not been to the vets as often this year either and I've saved my mum and my insurance company a bundle, so to say thank you they should club together and buy me a humungous steak, I reckon, don't you? My mum reckons me and her will be in bed long before the new year starts, so we're hoping there are no whizz bangs to wake us up and my mum put a chap off buying them in the shop she works this afternoon, she told him they had no rockets .... (she lies like a cheap watch) but he believed her. My mum says she's going to have a brandy nightcap tonight, she'd better guard her glass or I'll be having one too, like last night, she forgot to move her glass and I drunk her coca cola, but it didn't have any brandy in it. We hope you all have a lovely evening and we wish you all a very happy and healthy new year, we hope it starts off this evening with some very tasty snackettes for you and Holly chops. ReplyDeleteWell we went out yesterday and came home today, not very far because the school hall is about ten paces away except we have to walk around to get into the door. We had a fantastic evening, cheeses, crackers, grapes, Prosecco all there for us and a disco just the right sort of music not boom boom booming. A happy new year to you all in Godwin Towers and also in Maisey Towers including Mrs Boy., also everyone else who takes part in this wonderful Diary that lovely Daisy Dog those so well, aided and abetted by OTL who provides the pictures and electricity.
