Miss May's Outing!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Today The Missus headed off with Old Two Legs for her appointment with the Eyeball Specialist for the next stage of treatment.

It seems that one eyeball is OK and no more treatment is needed but the other one is still bruised from the operation and needs some TLC, so, more drops to put in her eye, six times a day. Well, there is one that requires one drop four times a day and another that requires one drop twice a day, but not at the same time!

We reckon that it will take another four weeks before going back to the specialist to be checked over again.

A real pain in the eye but it's better than having needles stuck in your eyeball and fluid drained off!

Before all that, we had a wander along the sea shore just before the sun came up but it was hardly worth the trip, a dark pink sky then in comes the cloud and Poof!

It was gone!

In comes the cloud and it was all gone, just like that, mind you Sarn should like this one!
It was later that OTL and TM came home from the hospital and we were rather late in going out for our lunchtime walk.

Yesterday Eric came out with us and today it should have been Monty and Wendy who were walking but they were both asleep, mind you, so was Eric but Miss May was up and bouncing all over the cage.

OTL made a Management Decision and Miss May was dressed up in her harness. It was a rather Loose Fitting 'cos she has lost weight since coming down with Insulinoma but she is responding well to the medication, so, Eric was woken up and dressed as well and off we went.

Miss May hasn't been out for absolutely ages, I think it was September last year was her last run out.

Today she sat on OTL's hand and looked out of the bag, then wriggled to be put down on the grass!

She had a little run, then climbed up OTL's leg for a little carry, then wriggled to be put down again and then ran off towards the sea shore!

Just a little carry, for a moment or two!
Half way across the field she was down and running, then rolling on the grass like wot Holly and I do if there's a sniff there.

You know OTL didn't stop her at all, not like when we do it!

Now, remember yesterday and the Heeland Coo like sniff? Well OTL wouldn't let Holly and I off the lead until we got across the field and well down the path. So, you can just picture it, two woofers on a lead pulling one way, a little ferret pulling another way and a big ferret butt up trying to get back in the bag!

Surprisingly Miss May was having a great time sniffing the sniffs and rolling on the ground, rolling onto her back and kicking her paws in the air!

OTL knew the wouldn't have enough hands and so he had left the camera at home but remembered to bring the phone, so we rattled off a couple of shots.

A good picture of OTL's Wellie and Miss May sniffing a sniff!
Tomorrow Monty and Wendy have been promised a run out, providing it's not pouring down with rain, not even a ferret likes to walk in the rain!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

  1. Wotcha maties. Well I've just finished my last guarding shift for a few days. Phewwww, I'm so pleased I can have a lay in tomorrow, 4 days of getting up at 4 has made me very tired. Loved all the photos today, the colour of that sky was very pretty. It's rained here on and off for most of the day so I've only been running out when I'm desperate and then running back in. I don't do wet. Our little jam jar has passed it's mot and we're waiting for it to come home now. Me and my mum will be having a nice early night and a long snuggle up. Glad to hear Miss May enjoyed her run today, and really pleased that her treatment is helping her to enjoy herself again. Good news about Mrs TM's eyeballs, are you and Holly chops making sure she keeps still when she had her drops put in, I hope she's giving you both a good example. Hope you all have a smashing evening, I'm off for a pre dinner snooze. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  2. Good news on TMs eye, the drops are a real intrusion into a day but at least it seems a better option. 💗. What a voyage of discovery Miss May had, I am so pleased that she managed a trot around today and a good sniff, those green wellies look the business and ready for anything. Good news also on Archies jam jar 🚗.
We had the drop of rain this afternoon just like it was predicted but now will tomorrow be good weather but cooler than last Friday? Hope your evening was good, Michael bought me a gross of dark chocolate Bountie Bars so I may have one to give quality control Report. xxxxxx

  3. I do, I DOOOO love the pink sky photo . . . please thank OTL for that one Daisy! Also good to see Miss May doing so well and wanting to come out and play.

Flipping 'eck, that's a lotta drops for TM's eyeballs, but rather that than the alternative!

Enjoy your rest from guarding duties Archie. Glad your jam jar passed with flying colours, ready to chauffeur you to the vets whenever necessary!

Like Sue, we had rain this afternoon . . . can I have your Quality Control job please Sue?

Have a good evening all! (I sound like Dixon of Dock Green - showing my age now!) LOL!
