The Ferrets are fighting, it must be 4am!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Wot a super day it's been, well it is if you forget the punch up the ferrets had at four this morning!

We went out this morning and there was misty stuff everywhere so we didn't take the camera. Instead we took Miss Wendy who enjoyed a run across the football field but when she got to the other side her tummy was soaking wet with the dew, so, up she gets and has a cuddle with Old Two Legs until her underside was nice and dry!

Do you think OTL will give me a cuddle when my tummy gets wet?

No, neither do I!

Back home both ferrets were let out for a rampage while OTL did his duties. It was interesting to see that the warfare was developing, sort of.

Miss Wendy would go ferreting under Holly's sleeping mat, Eric being inquisitive started to dig under the mat and of course, finally ended up nose to nose with Wendy......... and that's when the fight began!

It wasn't the normal territory fight, you know, with feeling. Instead this one was Eric, reversing his butt to ward off Wendy who was screaming at him but not attacking him with her teeth, just making a big noise!

That might be a good sign and these little changes are all pointing towards living with each other!

Of course, it will take a little while yet, but we are all keeping our claws crossed!

Now, OTL gave us our monthly dose of anti insect stuff down the back of our necks. Today he swapped over to the Holiday Stuff.

This is the one that gets rid of Ticks which I just HATE!

The stuff he puts on us is not very nice cos it itches like mad and I'm rubbing my neck along the furniture!

The ferrets got their dose as well and they both said it was horrid but they were soon asleep, separately!

Once the stuff had dried Eric set off with us for a stroll along the seafront.

Holly was the first to see a large container ship heading up the Thames into London to unload a load of containers.

Do you think they have any food on there?
Now OTL had received instructions from The Missus, it seems that she is planning to plant some baby cacti and needed some stuff to put in the flower pot. One of the ingredients is a handful of grit and the local plant place didn't have any for sale, so, OTL was told to take a carrier bag and put a couple of handfuls of sea shells in the bag.

Now that was all OK except that the bag had a hole in it and as much as OTL put sea shells in the bag, most just flowed out and onto the beach!

Finally OTL managed a couple of handfuls and double knotted the bag so with the sea shells in the bag it looked just like a Christmas Haggis!

Of course Eric was helping by digging the shells up and throwing them behind himself for OTL to pick up!

Shall I dig some more or is that enough?
We got back into the car and we were treated to a blast from the air con unit which was so good that Eric said it was blowing ice cubes into his cage!

Now, back home Eric was put back into the cage and found Wendy curled up on the hammock, well, he crept up onto the hammock, bent over and sniffed her ear!

Wendy, still half asleep, turned her head, looked at him and put her head back onto the side of the hammock without attacking him!

Every little development is noted!

Claws crossed, we may get a peaceful, fight free night tonight!

Bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

  2. Yo maties. Well I'd be putting in a complaint with the landlords if I was woken up at 4 in the morning cos the next door mob were having a fight. Now I'm going to get woken up at 4 tomorrow being as my mum is going to work so do you want me to do a really loud woof to tell them to stop fighting? Sounds good that Miss Wendy didn't try to take a chunk out of Eric's butt when he turned it on her and that she didn't wake up and start chasing him when he crept onto the hammock, there's hope yet that she might share with him soon, paws crossed. I think OTL should pick you up when your tummy gets wet so he can cuddle it dry. I hope Mrs TL thanked Eric for helping OTL with the seashells. I had an early walk on account of it being very hot and sunny here today. Me and my mum aren't all that keen on the very hot weather so we've stayed in with the fan going full blast. My boy is due home from work soon then he has tomorrow off so we'll be able to have a play and a wrestle. I seen 2 squirrels in my garden yesterday, they were playing and rolling over each other and they tried to pinch one of my mums solar lights, cheeky things. They left lots of interesting sniffs in the garden when they went. I'm off to get my mum to put my scoff down before my boy gets home. Hope you get your full z's tonight. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  3. Sounds as though the new couple are getting to terms with the idea, paws, claws, fingers and toes crossed for a peaceful night. It has been hot here again and perhaps chicken curry wasn’t such a good idea but I took it out of the freezer to make way for blackberries that we picked yesterday. We may pick some more tomorrow to take home for pies and crumbles in the wintertime.
Friends in America have gone to Illinois from Florida and tell us that it is 50 degrees in old money whereas Daytona is 80, then someone reported that they have 105 deg going down to 80 as night! That is hot, hot, hot.
Archie would have loved to “play” with those squirrels but his mum is very wise to keep him indoors, sorry Archie, you know it makes sense! Peaceful night everyone, sweet dreams xxxxxx
