It's Getting Closer!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Old Two Legs is slowly working his way down the 'List of Things' he has to do before the holiday and today it was:-

1. Clear up the foundations of the old green house.
2. Get big car washed and cleaned outside and inside.
3. Introduce both ferrets to the travelling cage, at the same time!

First thing this morning we were off with Eric for our morning walk and young Eric almost wore himself out running along the Sea Wall and the long grass!

When we got him home he had a little rampage around the house then crawled under the sofa and fell asleep!

Miss Wendy didn't even bother to give him a nip!

Lunchtime arrived and it was Miss Wendy's turn for a run and just like Eric, she just wore herself out on the beach and through the long grass.

Back home she got into her bed and didn't even attempt to beat Eric up when he stuck his nose over the edge of her cuddle cup!

Two tired little ferrets!

OTL thought it was a good time to see what happens if he puts them in the cage together, so, very carefully he placed them into the two cuddle cups............... and that's when the fight started!

This afternoon OTL loaded the big car up with three and a half ton of solidified cement and bricks and headed off to the council tip. He didn't take Holly and I 'cos he reckons we would get into to much trouble down the tip, Me? Us? Never!

After the foundations were ejected onto the skip at the tip he headed off for the 'Hand Car Wash'

He paid them a fortune to clean the outside and the inside and polish the seats and do a good job everywhere before the holiday!

Finally he chopped off a load of branches that have been hanging over our side of the front wall.

So, tomorrow he has to brush up the dust and bits of brickwork from the back garden. Then he has to anoint us with that horrid anti Tick stuff that itches like mad!

The next job it to fit a remote tyre pressure monitor to the caravan wheels and fit the readout unit to the dashboard somehow. That way we can monitor the tyre pressure on the four wheels on the caravan and get a warning if we get a puncture!

All very technical you know!

No pictures today 'cos we had the ferrets out with us and OTL can't take pictures and watch out for woofers who might want to chase Wendy or Eric!

Poor Archie Babe, having to get washed and sploshed and shaved, horrid it is! Mind you the sniff that is left gets you loads of cuddles from the TL's but it's not much fun when the other woofers laugh at you!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

  1. Yo maties. Well I hope you had a quiet night last night. Seems like you are making progress with the ferrets, paws crossed that they'll soon be in love with each other. Poor OTL, he really is going to need his holibob with all the jobs he has to do. Now wot trouble could you and Holly chops possibly get into down the tip????? I mean, it's not as if they've got stuff in pristine condition down there. Glad to hear the ferrets were worn out after their walks, maybe they might snooze all night and not bother to stick their noses where the other doesn't want them to stick it. Now I'm quite lucky cos mostly TL's do like to have a cuddle with me even when I've not had a bath but they probably appreciate a good mature sniff like wot I do. I met up with Boris the bounce this morning and he tried to bounce all over me, I think he was trying to pass a sniff on to me cos he probably thought I didn't sniff wooferish. Been a bit of a busy day here with my mum doing her big shop and then coming home and cutting the grass, then going back to town to get some new duvet covers for my boys bed. She's done a big load of washing today and has another big load for tomorrow. We're both a bit tired now and need an early night cos she's off to work at the crack of dawn tomorrow, we hate getting up in the dark. Hope you all have a lovely quiet evening with some nice muggings. I'm off to get some scoff. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  3. Now cleaning the car. Michael recons that by the time we have got anywhere the car is grubby so not worth cleaning it beforehand but this time my car was cleaned inside and outside because we were taking our friends around Romney Marshes visiting lots of churches and railways, John is a train buff and was as please as punch to visit Lydd Station which is shut and Appledore main line station, tomorrow we visit Hythe Station meaning he has pictures of all the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Stations, also we visited Folkestone Harbours shut signal box on the sea front. Being on the Marshes and being damp at times you should see the state of my car carpets, they have never looked as bad. We have left it to sulk in the storage in Appledore until I go and collect it on our way home. 🚗. The the Ferret Tale seems to be improving, I think but I sincerely hope that it all works out well for the holibobs. Did OTL have to pay for his rubble tip or did they let him leave it for free? I can understand there being no pictures with trying to safeguard Miss May and Eric those woofers would like a nibble and we can’t be having any of that. Don’t go making the big car dirty, you had better take it indoors to keep it clean and shiny xxxxxx
