A Different Look!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Well, just for a change, The Missus was in today, no Glue Slapping up the village hall!

She has however, been Glue Slapping in her 'Studio' and the clouds of glitter have blocked up the heating vents!

Once Old Two Legs has cleaned the ferret cage and put them back to bed we crept into the office and enjoyed a super snooze!

Warm, comfortable and draught free!
Now I know that the photo looks 'different' and that's cos OTL has just received his copy of a specialist magazine on landscape photography and there, on page eleven is an article on Infrared Photography!

So, out comes OTL's IR camera and he has decided to spend the weekend playing with it!

He has taken some 'interesting' shots in the past but that was in the summer when the chlorophyll in the leaves reflect the IR and you can get some crazy colour hues!

Holly in IR!
This one is our local church which is around nine hundred years old!

No, that's not snow, it's grass!
OTL reckons if you use RAW there is some strange effects to be had!

Yeah, OK, what ever!

This morning it was just too dark to use the camera so we had to wait until lunchtime before he could bring it out with us.

Lunchtime the ferrets were still asleep so we had OTL to ourselves, well him and the camera!

The path leads to the Sea Wall..
OTL was playing with the controls on the camera cos he hasn't played with IR for some time and his memory isn't what it used to be!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee!
The first photo and the forth, fifth and sixth have come straight out of the camera and no Fiddly Diddly on the computer!

It would be interesting to see what some Fiddly Diddly would do to it.

Holly suggested 'Screwed Up' would be a good description!

The Long Path Home!
OTL says he may try some more IR but with a big wide lens on the front but then he remembered it was re-engineered to work on the 35mm that was on the camera. So, it's going to be a case of OTL walking closer if he wants to zoom in and get creative at 35mm!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Yo maties. Well OTL has taken some lovely pictures today, specially the ones with you and Holly chops in them, even if it does look like you had a big snowstorm down your way. It's been very, very windy and rainy here last night and today. My mum came home from work early on account of being a bit under the weather so I snuggled up and gave her plenty of licks. We've had a very quiet day, well with all the wind and rain I refused to go walkies and I just whizz out to the garden when I can't hold on anymore. Now don't forget to remind Mrs TM and OTL to put the clocks back tonight cos you get an extra hour snooze, me and my mum are going to make the most of it, cos we love the extra hour. My mum was saying about seeing one of Mrs TM's cards on faceache today, she reckons it's smashing. Hope them ferrets are behaving and snuggling well. Have a lovely evening, stay warm and dry. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  2. Hello all my Southern friends. Izzy here. Mum's let me out of the cage and onto her lap so I can type my comment. What fabulous photos OTL took today. Those trees look all icy just like the big hills behind our village; they had snow on them this morning. They looked pretty but I hope it stays up there. I've been wearing my jumper to keep warm on my walks especially as I've still got short fur on my leg and hip from my surgery. I am healing well but get frustrated in my cage if mum sits down and doesn't pick me up for cuddles. I try barking then sit with my back to her. She usually does give me cuddles but not when she's eating her dinner. I promise her that I won't jump up and down on the sofa but mum knows that I might get tempted so keeps me in the cage when she's busy. Just 3 weeks left until the vet xrays to check my bones have fixed together in their new angle and that my screws are still in tight, then I can run and jump again. I hope Archie's mum feels better soon. My mum was off work for over a week with a nasty bug. I'm sure Little Arch will give her lots of cuddles on the sofa.
Sounds like TM had fun in the 'studio' today. Mum says she saw a stunning octopus with lots of tentacles on Faceache that TM did. We were too scared to look.
Must go now as Strictly is on and mum wants to watch the twirling sparkles...just looks like a lot of glitter slapping to me! Love, woofs, sniffs & licks from Izzy & the northern gang xx

  3. That is a brilliant picture of the “snowy” path, more learning for OTL with his new book. It is a problem as we age to remember things unless they are done all the time so I look forward to seeing some RAW IR pictures. The octopus does look good unless you are a woofer who doesn’t do tentacles, it is all spooky at the moment with Halloween coming up. Michael had his flu jab this morning and was given a paper list with all the problems he could have, I am just glad that I wasn’t given a list on Wednesday when I had mine done! So far he hasn’t grown any extra arms or gone green, sprouted wings or come out in rainbow spots!
Seems like tomorrow will be very cold but dry so that the Mote Park Train can have its last public run of the year pleasantly. We will remember to alter the clocks but are starting an hour earlier so won’t have a lay in, on the way home.............................Chinese Take Away...................... mmmmmmm
Take a torch out tomorrow xxxxxx
