Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!
We had some heavy rain last night and Holly and I were thinking we may need our rain coats but just before we were ready to go, it stopped!
Old Two Legs said there was one of his famous 'Windows' in the air and we managed to get around before it all started again!
It was the same at lunchtime, there sitting to the west was another window so off we went again!
Lucky for us it stayed dry! |
You know we didn't even see another Grain Rock, just a few fungi looking all wet and soggy!
Holly and I had a run on the beach and found the holes we dug yesterday, OTL didn't get the tennis ball out so we were left to chase our tails along the high tide mark where the sea weed came to rest when the tide went out!
Back home we had a peek into the ferret cage hoping we would find them cuddled up together but today it was separate cuddle cups, mind you, both of them were snoring their tails off!
Now, you know that Eric has got this thing about rubber, well, he has taken to pinching the hair brush that OTL uses on Holly and I. When OTL gets the brush out and starts grooming us it is a sure sign he is preparing us for the dreaded 'Short Back and Sides'!
Lucky for us, Eric has taken to finding the brush and because it is a rubber handled brush, he hides it in the most unusual places, like under the boxes of card stuff The Missus keeps in her work area of the lounge!
So, after a quick brush I escape and the brush gets pinched and hidden and then OTL forgets what he was going to do and I escape a brushing.
Until he remembers and off we go again!
Holly has spent the afternoon sitting at the window watching the birds feeding on TM's stale Tea Bread that she has been storing in the cupboard. The birds love it especially when it rains and the consistency goes from 'Firm' to 'Soggy'.
The pigeons fight over it and chase each other away!
OTL says it makes a change to the normal burnt offerings he gets, I mean, I thought he liked over cooked lettuce!
See you tomorrow!
Luv,
Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
Overcooked lettuce is my favourite!!!
ReplyDeleteI got soaked leaving the office today!
Didn't know Eric is kinky and has a
Rubber fetish! No wonder Wendy is wary of him! LOL! X
Yo maties. Well it's been a cold damp grey day here, no real rain but every so often it tries. I went for a walk early but didn't see any of my mates so I stopped half way on my walk and decided to go home. Someone over the back of us has been letting off whizz bangs so I went out and told them to woof off, then I heard a cat making a noise like it had a rocket tied to its tail so I told the cat to woof off as well. My mum says I'm not allowed out in the garden for a while now cos of my bad language but you know, they need telling to woof off sometimes with their noisy stuff. Hope you all had a peaceful evening yesterday. Maybe Eric let a silent but deadly go under the pinny so Wendy might have decided to sleep on her own, sometimes chaps do things like that, or so my mum tells me.
ReplyDeleteNow talking of haircuts, my mum says I've got an appointment tomorrow afternoon with Caroline the groomer, maybe if I give her enough licks she might not dunk me in the bath, paws crossed. Have a lovely evening all, hope you've got some nice snackettes. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
It has been a nothing sort of day here apart from the rain and a plastic bottle of Teak Oil circa 1970ish wearing away the base of the bottle and leaving a smelly pool of dried teak oil smelling like old engine oil in the cupboard of the downstairs toilet. I found it before lunch so after lunch I went out as I was going to do leaving Michael to use brake disc cleaner and a scraper to chisel it off. You would have probably loved a roll in the smell!
ReplyDeleteTomorrow I am going out in the morning leaving him home alone again to have lunch prepared for when I get back. It is a hard life, I do so enjoy the miserable rainy dark afternoon, oh well, Spring will be here in ---- days. xxxxxx
