Hi Woofers!
It's Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!
Now as you know young Eric has not been too good since last Friday and we got a load of jollop from the vet to shove down his throat to make him better. Well, so far, we started on a couple of injections on Monday and now we have some stuff that is poured down his throat using a syringe, twice a day.
This is the fun bit. You see, with Eric you are never sure of what he eats or drinks during the day and keeping him hydrated is always a hit and miss thing. Lucky that Old Two Legs has had some experience with administering 'make you better' stuff to both us woofers and ferrets.
To start off he gets a syringe full of medicine and squirts it down the side of Erics jaw with just enough speed to allow him to drink it down. Then, to help him hydrate, he gets a syringe full of water down the same way but this time the syringe is much bigger and contains even more water!
Finally, a RC, (Royal Canin Convalescence support) powder mixed with lactose free milk is squirted down the same way. We remember that when Snowflake was given medicine, she would shake her head so that most of it came out again! Then OTL worked out that if he put the medicine into the milk and powder, she would drink it all down.
Unfortunately, Eric doesn't seem to like the RC and milk!
OTL has kept on and we have managed to get Eric to take what medicine he should, even if it's a struggle!
He still has the 'Greenies Poo' but it's not getting any worse, it's just not getting any better!
One thing he is doing, he just loves a cuddle, The Missus is cuddling him at the moment and he is snoozing his tail off!
Before we go to bed OTL will look in on Eric and give him a cuddle and maybe a drink.
Luckly for us, the rain has held off so Holly and I get our walk in the dry today.
We have traced the other drilling rig to Holland or Netherland as it's known in the EU! It will be interesting to see where it goes now.
One thing that we like about the autumn, all the fungi starts to sprout. It's funny thinking that the fungi is really the 'flowers'.
This is a good shot of two flowers, one that a bee would land on and the other one the bee wouldn't land on!
See you tomorrow.
Luv,
Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
Yo maties. Well now I'm pleased to hear Eric is being a good boy and taking his medicine. Now come on Eric, you've got to eat the scoff wot tastes like cat poo with knobs on as well, it's only for a little while and then you can eat your normal scoff. Will Eric be going back to the vets tomorrow for more stabbings? If he does I know he'll be a very brave little man just like wot I am. Cuddles when you don't feel well help to make you feel a bit better, I like cuddles. I like cuddles even when I'm well. Very nice pictures today. I went for a walk this morning before the rain came and I bumped into Boris and Millie. Boris was telling me how tasty the lasagne was and he'll be keeping an eye open for when his TL's have it again. Boris said he got caught last night when his boy had put his fishing stuff on the side in the kitchen, when his boy went into the other room then Boris went to inspect the stuff to see if there was anything tasty to pinch. Boris said he got a shock when his boy was standing behind him asking him wot he thought he was doing. Now Millie was listening and she said being as she's only little, she couldn't reach up on the side to look for tasty stuff, I know the feeling but, if something is on a bit of kitchen towel and the kitchen towel is on the edge of the surface, then sometimes if I jump up high enough, I can catch hold of the edge of the kitchen towel and pull it down with the tasty scoff on it, this doesn't happen very often cos my mum makes sure the kitchen towel is well towards the back but my boy sometimes forgets. I've been telling the squirrels to woof off today, they've been in my garden and the run up the tree and start calling me names and saying naughty words. Well paws crossed Eric continues to take his medicine and gets well very soon. Take care all and have a good evening. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
