Puzzle Bee-Fly-Bee

 Hi Woofers!

Daisy here.

Well, it's been a pleasant day today, we met up with the lads who were chasing balls but I wanted to get a move on and get back home for a 'Get up Snooze' before my morning snooze!

OTL was getting all artistic when he shot this one, he calls it 'A Study in Mud and Rocks'

 I just called it Muddy!

I much prefer the sandy beach, although you can't get muddy it feels all gritty between your claws!

All I need is a bucket and spade!

Lunchtime we saw the man out on the mowing machine trimming the grass right the way down to almost level with the earth!

It would be fun to have a drive around the field making squiggly lines all up and down the field!

OTL was looking for insects and I took the opportunity to have a relax on the sea wall in the sunshine

It's a pity the tide is still out, I could have been in swimming now!

Now then, what is this I hear you say? OTL thought it was a big Hover Fly but there is no Hover Fly with a big stinger out the front of its face!

We had to wait until we got home to confirm the species.

It's a Bee-Fly or maybe a rare Heath Bee-Fly but looking in the 'Insect Book' it is, we have decided, a Bee-Fly.

Just look at that rigid proboscis, it looks like it is a bee with the sting at the wrong end!

It's funny how looking at the picture in the book and looking at your photograph, it always looks like the rare insect!

That was the only insect we could find that was of interest, there were other flying things but you would need a microscope to inspect them, let along take a photograph!

So, no insects, all that is left is the flowers and as most of them have been cut down, all we are left with is the Buttercup!

Pretty innit?

OTL is off to the dentist tomorrow morning, one of his teeth has chipped and he needs to get a filling replaced.

He should have borrowed my teeth cleaning chew!

Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy.

  1. Yo Daisy. Wot smashing pictures of you and the others are very nice too, even OTL's arty type one. Now I've seen them flying buzzy things with the big noses in my garden. Today, I've been trying to count the froggies but they keep jumping into the water whenever I go near so I don't know how many there are but there are lots of splashes in my pond. I went for an early walk, none of my mates were about and I could sniff rain in the air so I went home pretty quick. My mum says I'm getting lazy, so wot, I can have lazy days if I want. This afternoon we had lots of rain but it seems to have stopped now. I'm off for a quick scoff before my pre bedtime snooze and scoff. Take care, stay safe and warm all and hope OTL doesn't come out of the dentists crying tomorrow. Love, licks and sniffs from little Arch and the others. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
