Holly gets the Coat and The Ferrets hunt the 'Why I Man'!

Hi Woofers or as they say up here, Eee Up Chuck!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles  up in Lovely Yorkshire!

Have we had some fun! First of all, Holly got 'The Cramps' yesterday evening and had to have a cuddle with Old Two Legs all evening and most of the night! This morning she was back to her normal self. We could tell she was better 'cos she headed for the food bowl and finished off last nights leftovers!

For most of the night we had rain, then it was more rain and finally, lots of rain! Which is another good reason for cuddling up to OTL!

The ferrets were asking about the 'Why I Man' that Archie Babe was talking about and was it a 'Dangerous Thing'?

If your a 'Why I Man' come here, NOW!
Well, none of us knew but Miss Snowflake said that she would keep an eye open for anything that looked like a 'Why I Man'!

Mr Brambles got a little worried when he was sniffing a leaf and he thought he heard a 'Why I Man' behind him!

I don't care, I'm not looking behind me!

Miss Snowflake told him to 'Man Up' and carried on searching the roots of an old tree!

If you're a Why I or even a Eee Be Goom, come out NOW!
Neither of the ferrets found anything other than some funny sniffs!

After all that we headed off into town! Well, a sort of bigger place than the village we are staying at!

The Missus went off in search of a Co-Op while OTL went off in search of a Pet Shop, Holly and I stayed in the car woofing at all the Bozo's who dared to get close to the car!

It was a little while later that a red faced OTL came puffing and blowing into the car park, seems he has found a Pet Shop and it has some Rain Coats in stock!

Well, we were off and running and pretty soon we were being measured up and down our backs and around our tummy and OTL and the Lady Two Legs were Umm'ing and Arr'ing about the style and sizes. I got lifted up onto the counter and was the 'Test' for the coats. Some were too big and some were too small and some were just right but such terrible colours! I mean 'Pink'!

Can you imagine us in PINK!

Finally we settled on a super Blue and Green number that goes over our head and covers our chest and tummy. There are fixing straps that come up the side and with the help of a little bit of Velcro, come together across out back!

It has a nice collar that will stop the wind from blowing down our back and the coat length is just right 'cos it stops at our tail!

OK, says OTL, 'I'll take two please'

'Sorry' says the Lady, 'I've only got one in stock!'

Some more discussions took place and the Lady says that she will go to the 'Wholesaler' at the end of the month and bring one back to the shop for us!

Great, now, who has the new one?

Just wait until it rains, I reckon we will be having a fine old ding dong over who gets the new coat!

Lunchtime it wasn't raining, so Holly and I went out looking for these Eee-Be-Gooms.

First we came across some 'Hens and a Big Cockerel' who, OTL said, was in charge of his girls.

We had a woof at them and they all ran away, that left Holly to ask if we thought they would have tasted like chicken!

OTL didn't answer but was laughing all the way to the next gate!

There we came across some Pheasants who were having some sort of  Argy Bargy which Holly said sounded a bit like 'Why I Man'!

Was that a 'Why I'?
Today we went even further along the footpath and out onto a hillside where the sun was shining!

On the hill was a farmstead and OTL said it must be bit bleak during the Winter but just now it looks a super place to live!

One of those 'I'd like to live there' houses!
We crossed a small bridge over the stream and several of those Pheasants were clucking away at us from behind the tree and going Eee-Be-Goom, just to wind Holly up!

There's an Ee-Be-Goom up there!
So, we are now off to mug OTL for some of his dinner, Sausages and Chips tonight and TM always cooks an extra one for us!

See you tomorrow, if the Wi-Fi still works.

OTL says it would quicker by Royal Mail!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We're Off and Gone!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, heading off to the wilds of North Yorkshire, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We were up good and early 'cos Old Two Legs wanted to get an early start to beat the traffic on the M25, Fat Chance, the M25 is always busy!

Still, we were out down on the beach good and early, in fact we were so early we even saw the Early Wormy Man!
It's The Early Wormy Man who catches the worms!
Mr Brambles was all excited about going to North Yorkshire 'cos he and Holly had been doing some work on the Internety Thingy to see what there was to do and see. OTL wants to go to Malham Cove only 'cos it was featured in 'Harry Potter'!

Mr Brambles wanted to see the Wild Life on the Moors and has bee reading up on what he can expect to see!

Come on, back home, we're late!
He was getting so carried away that he even ran past Miss Snowflake and planted a kiss on her cheek and said 'Come on Slowcoach, Catch me if you can!'

Kissy Kissy!
Miss Snowflake was so shocked that she asked OTL to pick her up for a while 'cos she had got 'All Weak and the Knees!'

Gissa Lift OTL, I'm getting too much attention!
Back home it was all 'Rush and Tear' but we still didn't leave until ten thirty!

So much for the 'Early Start'!

We stopped a couple of times on the way up so we could have a wee and then some lunch!

I managed to mug a whole burger off OTL, well he had two in his Super Duper Double Whopper!

Holly didn't even try, you see she had sniffed and chewed on something on the beach yesterday morning and was complaining that her tummy was 'All Bubbly', and we know what is coming soon!

Even The Missus was saying that Holly kept of doing Whiffs!

Well, we finally arrived at the caravan site, just as it was getting dark, so OTL was planting the caravan and putting up the awning and building the ferret cage in the dark!

He managed to get it all done before bed time and before bed Holly was showing signs of the 'Grumbly Tum'!

As we expected, there is no phone signal here at all, I mean nuffin!
TM was fiddling about with her Gissmo Phone and said that she was getting a Wi-Fi signal strong enough for OTL to do something with, so we know what he's going to be doing tomorrow!

OK, that's it for today, see you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Hi Woofers!

It's now 'Tomorrow'!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again with some more fun and games!

You remember me telling you that Holly and Mr B had been doing some research on the North Yorkshire Moors? Well, they have a long list of places to go and stuff to see. We even have a long list of animals we might see on our walks across The Moors!

We were out this morning walking across some fields along a Public Footpath. Well, it's not like Scotland where you have 'The Rights To Wander' (providing you don't damage anything), not here it seems!

Now, just look at this super view.

Moor'ish!
Then, just as we are enjoying the view and the sniffs we see this........

Permissive??????????
We have to get Permission First???????

We just can't get used to these new bylaws!

Holly 'Grumbly Tum' has kicked off this morning, but it still didn't stop her from pinching half of my chicken dinner last night!

Mind you, OTL's burger filled me up, so I wasn't too put out!

Holly was telling us about the Moors Monster that is supposed to live in the hills around us.

According to Holly, it's called The Eee-Bee-Goom.

It is a bit like the Highland Haggis, but smaller, nastier and with Sharp Teeth!

Holly says it is found in the undergrowth and jumps out at you when you don't expect it!

The ferrets say it has nothing to do with them but they were keeping a close eye on the bushes when they went out for a walk with OTL!

Is that one????????
We all looked but it wasn't, is was a Fungi!

Is it a Eee-Bee-Goom Fungi?
OTL will have to look it up in his Fungi Book 'cos he reckons he has seen it in there, so it can't be a Eee-Bee-Goom!

By the way, the Internet Thingy is available on the caravan site but it comes in from next door! By the time it gets to us it is all weak and wobbly, a bit like Holly, so we keep loosing it but OTL reckons that it is better than having to go into town and eat tons of Cream Cakes and drink gallons of Hot Chocolate, plus the fuel for the car!

So, we seem to have it all sorted out this end, but don't expect any phone calls!

See you all tomorrow, Eee-Bee-Gooms permitting!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Packed and Ready to go!

Hi Woofers!

Us here, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Well it has arrived, all the stuff is packed, all the Bits and Bobs are stashed away and we are ready to go!

Holly has even got her Factor 55 packed saying it is going to be really hot next week!

As soon as I've finished on the laptop Old Two Legs will pack it away and put it together with the camera stuff.

This morning we were out early 'cos The Missus was up early banging things and making such a noise that no one could sleep!

So, down to the Sea Wall we went and OTL caught the sunrise that lit up the clouds, very pretty!

Pretty or Wot?
We met up with some of the Lads and little Bonnie, she said that although she could sniff the ferrets, she wasn't really interested!

Yeah, we believe you!

Honest, just what do you think I'll do to the ferrets?
Mind you, the others stood there with big grins on their chops and licking their lips and as Snowflake said, 'Let's get the Ferret out of here!'

We wouldn't eat ferrets either!
Down on the beach Miss Snowflake sneaked back into the bag again while Mr Brambles was digging his traditional hole!

I'll miss this while I'm away!
The rest of the day has been all Pack, Store and Where's My Socks?

So, I'm not sure how the blog is going to happen 'cos there is no phone coverage and no Wi-Fi on site at all and we are not too sure where the nearest Broadband is in relation to the caravan site but we will find a link, somehow.  Don't panic if you don't hear from us for a few days, we will store up the days doings and up load them all at the first opportunity!

See you soon!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

F1 & Anti Tick Stuff & Wet Paws!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

A fun day today! The Missus went off to her Crop Thingy this morning all full of fun 'cos someone on the TV was holding one of her card and said something like '....and this is from Eileen Godwin, Queen of Inks!'

Gawd, there will be no living with her now!

Mind you, Holly says that we should send an email to the TV company and explain that at home she is known as 'Old Inky Fingers'!

After dropping 'Inky' off at the village hall we headed off to the beach, just in time for the rain to start.

It was that sort of Misty Rain that sort of sneaks up on you and gets you all wet without you knowing it!

We were all a bit damp and when we got back to the car it was a contest to see who got the Doggy Towel first.

Miss Snowflake won, followed by Brambles and then Holly and I was last 'cos I was sitting out in the middle of the field waiting for the rabbits to appear!

OTL left the camera in the car, so no pictures of the ferrets swimming in the rock pool!

We have been sorting out some of the stuff we will be taking on holiday, the ferrets have been cleaning out their 'Holiday Cage', that's the one they sleep in overnight and also travel in when riding in the car.

Holly found our rain coats and also out new Red Harnesses which make us look dead smart!

If we find a Doggy Shop we may get some new coats, we will have to see!

Lunchtime the sun came out and off we went to the Sea Wall again. This time OTL kept us up on the high bank 'cos he had put out Anti Tick Drops on our back to keep the little nasties away and he didn't want it to get washed off.

So what did I do?

Yep! Rushed off for a Deep Paddle in the Sea!

Me, Just about to get in trouble!
Of course, Little Miss Holly Chops was all for winding OTL up and was calling out that I was swimming across the River Medway to Sheerness and that she was off to Southend as well!

OTL sat down on the bench and was about to get all upset when Holly Dog ran up the steps and shouted out.......

FOOLED YOOOOO!
I was still in trouble 'cos I was just a little wet all the way up to my tummy!

Holly was well pleased with her effort to wind up OTL and she kept on getting up close to him and calling out Fooled Ya, again and again and again!

Fooled Ya!
We spotted a Two Legs raking up all the dried grass into piles all across the field. Holly reckons he needs a worming tablet but OTL says he could be collecting food for his rabbits.

What ever turns you on!

Bunny Food?
We got back home in time to see the F1 Qualifying, I fell asleep and Holly was busy hunting out the chews she had tucked behind the boxes in TM's Card Room!

Tonight we are going to help OTL sort out his sock draw and select a selection to take away with him on holiday.

The ferrets said they would help as well 'cos they could steal the socks and hide them under the bed!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Are We The Business or Wot!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Wot a day we have had today! Down on the beach it was all misty again and that made the grass wet, so, the ferrets were in and out of the grass and ended up getting wet from nose to the tip of their tails!

Not that it worried them 'cos as soon as they felt a bit damp, they got Old Two Legs to pick them up so they could have a good wriggle around in his arms and dry off again!

Sneaky or wot?

Another Misty Morning!
Miss Snowflake was on the beach hunting for this 'Slimy Thing' without too much success and Mr Brambles was there with her sniffing around to see what he could find!

It's been here, I can sniff traces of it!
Mr Brambles was getting wetter and wetter as he was burrowing through the sea weed and pretty soon he was asking OTL for another cuddle, just to dry off!

It's a bit wet under paw you know!
After the beach we headed off up to the top path and Mr B was still having trouble getting up the steps, that was until OTL gave him a help up with his hand!

I'm not designed for this Rock Climbing stuff!
Miss Snowflake gave him a cuddle and a quick kiss on his cheek, just to make him feel better!

Don't worry Dear, it is a Big Step!
Straight after the walk we headed off to the Poodle Parlour and had fun listening to all the other woofers calling out to be taken home again!

Holly and I are happy that OTL takes us away with them when they go on holiday and the ferrets reckon it's the best thing a woofer can get.

Loads of walks in new places with OTL to look after you!

Well, I won't bore you with the details but we were washed, shampooed, shaved and clipped and the squirted with that silly sniffy stuff that makes us sniff like a Big Tarts Handbag as OTL calls it!

But, I will admit, on this occasion, they have done a good job and do we look the business!

Looking Good Miss Holly, Feeling Good Miss Daisy!
Back down to the beach again for a walk then home to see The Missus and get a bowl of Ox Heart and a Teethe Cleaning Chew, followed by a snooze!

Life is good!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Getting Closer!

Hello Woofers!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Well, it has been a better day weather wise today, although, this morning was still a bit misty or as Old Two Legs said when he took this picture...........

Misty with sunny spells!
As it was a little warmer, Mr Brambles was doing his trick of trying to get me in swimming.

He kept running up behind me calling out 'Come on Woofer, Get Your Tail Wet!'

Get your tail wet woofer!
You know what? I did!

That was refreshing!
Mind you, we have had a bad night last night. You see Holly and I have been over doing it with the 'Chicken & Rice Chews' and unfortunately, although they taste super at our mouth end, by the time it goes through our system it has an unfortunate effect on our back end!

OTL was up every couple of hours to let us out into the garden 'cos we had the 'Grumbly Tum' and needed a wash before heading back to bed!

Mind you, by the middle of the afternoon we felt much better and we both enjoyed a bowl of 'Chicken & Rice'.

We were a bit late getting out at lunchtime 'cos OTL had a visitor and they were gassing away for ages!

We had a gentle stroll along the Sea Wall and stopped off at one of the benches for a very pleasant ten minutes to watch the boats go by!

I like watching the boats!
OTL stopped at the Dragonfly bushes again and this time managed to capture a Red Darter having a rest.

Red Darter
When we got home OTL was out with the vacuum cleaner, getting all the muck and rubbish from inside the car, making it look all clean and shinny ready for our holiday!

Holly and I spent some time inside the caravan while OTL was working but it got a bit boring, so we ended up back inside snoozing on the sofa, as you do!

Tomorrow we are off to the parlour to get a haircut, shampoo and set, so we will look 'The Business' by lunchtime, all ready for our holiday!

We will get a dose of the 'Anti Tick Stuff' OTL puts on our back and that will keep all the ticks off us while we are away. hopefully!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We meet Darcey!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We thought it would be a sunny day today but it was misty again when we got to the beach, not the most exciting morning run!

Another Misty Morning
After Holly's run along the Sea Wall, I decided to have a race myself. So, I raced along the beach and it was Old Two Legs that called out, 'Look! There goes a Daring Dashing Daisy Dog'!

A Dashing Daisy!
Both ferrets decided to go of hunting the 'Wet Slimy Things' that hides under the sea weed!

It's over here, I saw it!
Mr Brambles tried to get me to go in for a swim, but it was too cold for an early morning swim, even if your swimming partner is a ferret!

Come on Woofer, lets have a swim!
After getting off the beach, both ferrets continued to go hunting. The only problem they had was they didn't know just what it is they were hunting!

It's over here, I heard it sneeze!
We got back to the car and I woofed OTL to 'Get a Move On' 'cos I knew we had chicken waiting for us on our return and you just can't keep a good dog away from a chicken meal!

Come on OTL, breakfast is waiting!
Lunchtime we were on the hill path when we saw a woofer ahead of us with her Two Legs and they were playing 'Chase the Ball'

As OTL got closer they stopped playing and stood there looking at OTL who did his 'I'm a friend face' and then got greeted by the woofer!

She went up to OTL and had a sniff then OTL tickled her tail and then behind her ears and that was it, she was in love with him in twenty seconds flat.

The Tart!

We discovered that her name was Darcey and she hadn't long moved into the area and was just getting out to meet the woofers.

Darcey!
You know it's strange that OTL knows the names of almost all of the woofers we meet but he never bothers to find out their owners name!

You can see where his interest is!

OTL came across another Dragonfly on the bramble bush and he thinks it is a Chaser but not sure which one 'cos it flew away before he could get any closer to have a good look!

I'm a Chaser and you can't catch me!
Back home OTL was clearing up the last bits of paperwork before our holiday. He didn't get out to clean the inside of the car 'cos his back was still hurting, so that will have to wait until tomorrow!

OK, we are off to see what we can mug!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Washing Day Today!

Greetings Woofers!

The Gang is here, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Sorry we're a bit late but Old Two Legs has been working hard today and we have been helping him.

Well, we have been giving him helpful suggestions on how to do his work and he has been telling us what to do with our suggestions!

Most of his suggestions were physically impossible, we think!

Our walk this morning was all mist and damp and it was fun chasing the rabbits but it wasn't misty enough to hide us from them!

Misty!
There was a Kestrel trying to find some breakfast and OTL tried creeping up on it after it had dived down to the ground hunting mouses and stuff!

Missed, Again!
You can tell just how misty it was, here is the Sun!

Misty shot of The Sun!
Back home OTL was trying to get out to wash the caravan, so it looks all clean and shiny for the holiday but one of his customers sent him a big order, so that put paid to the caravan this morning!

Lunchtime he had finished the work bit, just in time to take us out again!

It was not so misty but still didn't get any swimming done!

Instead, Holly decided to run flat out along the Sea Wall and came flying past OTL and me at speeds approaching Mach 9 3/4!

Is it a Bird, Is it a Plane, No, It's Super Dog!
OTL tried to get another Common Hawker in his view finder but as he got close the Dragonfly flew off!

Getting ready to go!
OTL sat down on the bench and Holly, being full of fun a frolic, jumped up onto his lap and went....

Booooo!
OTL was taking some video with his new Gizzmo Phone but so far he hasn't worked out how to send it to the laptop so we can put it on this blog.

Still, if all else fails, he could try reading the instructions!

This afternoon he was out with the bucket and managed to wash not only the caravan but the car as well!

We expect that tomorrow morning he won't be able to get out of bed because his back will have seized up!

That means Holly and I will have to give him a lick behind his ear, just to make it all better!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Monday Funday!

Hi Woofers!

We're back again!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Well, today has been a good day for winding up your sister!

We started off this morning on the beach, the ferrets were messing about on the waters edge, Mr Brambles even threatened to go for a swim in the rock pool!

Can I? Just One little swim?
Old Two Legs said that Brambles would get a Soggy Bottom if he played in the water, so Mr B decided that he should stick to digging holes instead!

This a Hole lot of fun!
Now, you know how much OTL is into sun rises and sunsets? Well, he keeps taking pictures of Sheerness and sometimes he makes it look totally potty by using Photoshop to change the colours. So, today, Holly challenged him to take a picture with no Photoshop mucking about, except to crop to size!

Well, he took the challenge and this is the result!

Sheerness and Isle of Sheppy, straight out of the camera!
Back home Holly and I were fighting over a chew we had been given. Holly had one chew and ate it until there was only a little bit left. Then she left it in OTL's bedroom.

Miss Snowflake found the chew and stole it!

It is now hidden in the ferret maze inside a cardboard box. Holly, wasn't too worried 'cos she hunted around and found my untouched chew!

Miss Snowflake came back into the bedroom and then found the Teeth Cleaning Chew we hadn't started on yet.

So she pinched it and it is now hidden in the back of the ferret cage!

All that means I am left with no chew and a Holly Dog with a silly grin on her face!

What could I do?

The only thing I could do was to tell OTL what had happened and try to get another chew out of the 'Treat Draw'!

After a bit of 'Miscommunication' OTL finally got the message and I was the proud owner of a new chew!

By then I had decided I wasn't going to eat it but I didn't want Miss Holly Dog to pinch it, so I put it under OTL's chair in the office and gave him a shove on the back of the chair to let him know it was there.

Now OTL isn't the quickest Two Legs but after a bit he found where I had hidden it and then he put it up on his desk where I could see it and when I'm next in the mood for a nibble, he can get it down for me!

Am I sneaky or Wot?

Lunchtime we met up with young Dave the Westie who always says hello to us then heads for OTL to get a stroke and a Tickle of The Tail!

Yo Girls!
This afternoon it was a bit warm so Holly and I were looking for cool shadows and we headed for the benches to wait for OTL to catch up!

Shift over Holly Dog I want a share of that shadow!
I fancied a swim but all there was left after the tide had gone out was the mud, Holly tried to get me to go for a Splodge Around in the mud, but I'm not that silly!

You should have had a little paddle in the mud!
This afternoon OTL has been working on the wedding photos and now they are down on a DVD ready to be sent.

Tomorrow OTL plans to wash the caravan, all ready for the holiday! Holly and I will be inside watching him!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.
