Back Home with a Bump!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Well, last night I think we all slept very well, we were all so tired that it would have taken six 'Fireworks Nights' to wake us and even then it may be touch and go!

The Missus has been wearing out the washing machine today, it has been going non stop all day and the place looks like a Chinese Laundry with stuff hanging up all over the house!

The rain has been on and off all day and we keep hearing howls of despair every time TM notices the rain drops on the window!

Old Two Legs has been working his way down a big pile of paperwork and has been mumbling to himself all day!

We went out this morning and it was just after sunrise. Not as dramatic as we have seen on t'Moors, but it sort of had a 'Homely' look about it!

Our Home Sunrise
Mr Brambles said that although the moors were OK, the one thing he had missed was the feel of sand between his paws and the sniff of the sea!

This what I've missed!
Miss Snowflake on the other paw announced to everyone that she had not missed the sand or the sea in the slightest and in a flash had disappeared back into the ferret bag!

No, I have Not Missed it!
She refused to come out until OTL was off the beach and into the long grass where she feels most at home!

......are we off the beach yet?
We met up with some of the lads and told them all about our holiday and the fun on the moors and dales!

........and the Moors were much bigger than all the sea wall put together!
Lunchtime OTL had to go into town to deliver some stuff and afterwards he took us to The Forest, which was great 'cos we hadn't seen it for some time.

We investigated all the new sniffs and Holly said that although the moors were great fun, she had missed the trees.

You just don't get trees on t'Moors!

Trees are better than heather any day!
Of course, where there are trees, there are bound to be Squirrels!

We hunted High and Low and we saw some but they were high in the trees and wouldn't come down to hear all about our holiday. They said that any holiday without trees is boring!

Silly Squirrels!

Come on, come down for a chat!
Of course, really, the squirrels were too busy collecting nuts to store for the Winter time but I still had fun spotting them in the trees and doing my 'Pointer Stance' that Barney had taught me!

Is that a Squirrel I see before me?
Back home OTL was till working his way through the paperwork and a couple of times Miss Snowflake woke up and demanded to be let out of the cage for a ten minute 'Rampage' around the office!

So, off for some food now, OTL has got curry, so he is on his own as far as I'm concerned, mind you, Holly loves a bit of Nan Bread dipped in the sauce!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Home!!!!!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here in sunny North Kent!

Well, we were up sort of early this morning so we could get our morning walks all done and help Old Two Legs to pack up the last bits in the caravan.

The ferrets went off for a 'Swim' in the wet grass and had a super time snuffling and ferreting about in the fallen leaves!

We went up on t'Moor and was surprised top see Kofte & Shish Kebab waiting for us on to of the hillock!

Kofte & Shish
They said that Donner was away up on the moor but they had waited to say Bye Bye to us in good 'Northern Fashion'!

So it was, as they turned to go we heard one of them call back 'Eee-Up- Chuck!' and that was it, they had gone!

The Last Farewell!
We couldn't see too much 'cos there was still a lot of mist over the moor but with the sun trying to break through, it looked all 'Etherial'!

A touch of the 'Etherials' again!
As we got near to the end of the walk, the mist cleared a touch and we had a super view of the Dale, a very pleasant reminder of our holiday!

A Last Look at The Dale.
Back at the caravan, The Missus was waiting to 'Hit The Road' and even the ferrets were getting excited!

Off we went and we headed off home.

On the way there was sun shine, rain, Heavy Rain, Very Heavy Rain and Loads of Traffic!

Finally we made it and since five thirty we have been unloading the caravan and getting the ferrets sorted out and all the stuff put back in it's rightful place, well, almost!

Now we are just too tired to do any more, so it's off to bed about nine thirty for an early night and an early morning so that OTL can catch up with all the stuff that has piled up over the time we have been away!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Packing Up!

Eee-Up Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

Well, here we are again, the end of another holiday!

This morning we had to ask if we could go out for 'Walkies' first 'cos we missed out on our late night 'Wee' 'cos it was raining so much!

This morning the rain had stopped but it has left puddles the size of swimming pools!

On our walk, Old Two Legs spotted some bright red fungi, so, as normal, he just had to take a picture!

Little Bright Fungi

While he was playing, we were saying Bye Bye to Donna and all her mates.

Bye Bye Donna!
OTL said that it was bright sunshine, two thousand feet above is! You could just see the blue sky between the 'Low Flying Clouds!

Bye Bye t'Moors
It has been great fun up here and we have seen some things we haven't seen before but it will be good to get back home and see our mates along the Sea Wall and tell them all about our holiday!

Holly said that next time we should try The Dales but I fancy a new place in Scotland, maybe Harris in the Outer Hebrides, or what about Skye?

More decisions for next year!

See you all tomorow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Wet, Wet, Soaking Wet!

Eee-Up Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Wot a day it has been here in 'Sunny'? North Yorkshire!

It has been pouring down with rain today, in fact the site looks like a quagmire!

The ferrets went out for a run this morning and ended up swimming across the site!

Old Two Legs got our new coats out and tried to get us out for a long walk, in the rain, some hope!

He has just got to be joking!
We did go but we had a quick wee and then was dragging OTL back towards the car!

Back at the caravan the ferrets had got dry and were slurping away at their morning milk.

It's alright for them, warm milk and no damp tail!
I was not happy!

OTL did wrap me up in a dry towel and a warm blanket, so it wasn't so bad.

Mind you, I was getting a bit fed up with the slurping sounds those ferrets make!

No table manners, that's their problem!

Slurp, This is Good, Slurp, Innit?
We had some fun last night, OTL didn't fasten the ferrets cage roof door properly, so, in the middle of the night, when everyone was fast asleep, Miss Snowflake got out and went for a wander.

She found herself on The Missus's pillow, so, just to show how much she thinks of TM, Snowflake commenced to licking TM's ear!

Now, how many of you would have ended up on the ceiling?

No TM, she just picked up Snowflake and marched her back to the cage.

I mean, it's a lovely gesture by a ferret to give your ear a lick, it means she thinks you are a friend.

TM said that she wasn't going to lick Snowflakes ear in return, in fact, she has never even licked OTL's ear!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv (and Licks),

Squeeky Caravan

Eee-Up Woofers!

Us again! Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

After the last two days of getting up early and going to bed late, we were glad of a lay in this morning. Holly and I were cuddled up to Old Two Legs, just to keep warm in the night.

Now, yesterday, after we got back, Holly and I decided we needed a run on t'Moors, so, a quick woof in OTL's ear and we were off in the car up to the Moor. The rain had passed but when we got up on the top, we could see rain happening across the other side of the dale. Of course, OTL was clicking away with his camera and caught these two rain storms passing us by!

Rain Storm No. 1
Then on our way back we spotted this storm on the other side of the dale.

Rainy Storm No. 2
Of course, we managed to stay dry and got back to the van in time for dinner of Chicken & Biscuits!

I had left some chicken in my bowl to have before going to bed but after Holly and I had jumped up on the seats OTL let the ferrets out for a 'Rampage' around the caravan. Of course, it wasn't long before they found my chicken and were having little nibbles as they passed the bowl!

Holly thought it was a real cheek and proceeded to grumble at them for being so rude as to pinch my dinner!

Secretly, I think Holly was afraid that there wouldn't be any left for her to pinch later on!

OTL sorted the dilemma, he picked up the food bowl and the water bowl and put it on the table!

A sort of 'Wisdom of Solomon'?

It took a lot of Wisdom to sort out the next problem. Yesterday The Missus came back with a load of stuff from the workshop she had been to and it was a case of 'The Last Straw' breaking something or other!

She stashed it all away under the bed, as normal, and went off to finish the bottle of bubbly she had been attacking all evening.

During the night, every time anyone in the caravan moved, there was a squeaking sound coming from under the bed! It drove us woofers mad, every time, a movement was followed by a squeak! Even when the ferrets turned over on their bed........squeak.........OTL moved........squeak......TM moved.....squeak........Daisy turned her head......squeak........Holly twitched her tail........SQUEAK!

Today, TM said she would find out what it was, first she blamed OTL and said it had always been there. Next she tried wobbling the bed and said that it was the bed. Then she decided to unload the contents of the space under the bed.

Squeak gone!

Then she started to put everything back and half way through.........SQUEAK!

OTL came over to have a look and decided that there was just too much 'Crafty Stuff' under the bed, in fact, too much for the caravan!

OTL repacked the stuff and got it all away from a join in the caravan flooring that was making the squeaking sound.

Trouble is, what is she going to do with the little bit she has left over?

A Little Bit Here
And

A Little Bit There
And

A Little Bit More Down the End!
Of course, that doesn't include the three and a half ton of stuff she has squirrelled away in the cupboards!

OTL says that one day he expects to see TM digging a hole in the caravan floor, just so she can stash more stuff under the caravan!

We went out a bit later this morning 'cos of the 'Squeak', but that did mean we would be able to watch the F1 racing without disturbing OTL!

It was good on t'Moors, all sunny and full of 'Weekend Bozo's'!

Is that Another bunch of Bozo's?
OTL was more interested in the Fungi to bother with Bozo's.

OK, but what's it called?

As we were getting back towards the car we spotted what we believe to be a 'Why Eye Man'!

It suddenly popped up, shouted Why Eye Man, and then disappeared into the heather!

Is it a 'Why Eye Man'?

Never seeing a Why Eye Man before we are not too sure, so any help you lot can give will be most welcome!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles

We film a Eee-Be-Goom!

Eee-Up Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Well, today it has been another terribly early morning appointment for us! The Missus had booked into a course on a Finnabar Workshop run by Anna, who is very famous!

Holly said that she will able to become more famous 'cos she will have met 'The Fabulous Eileen', (Inky to her friends!)

We headed off with Old Two Legs and found a Country Park where  we could have our morning 'Walkies'! and of course, we hadn't brought our rain coats with us and of course, it rained!

The walk was not a long one!

Back in the car we listened to the radio and some CD's and had a drive around to see the sights, trouble was, we had seen most of the sights 'cos we were back in Stockton on Tees again!

Because of the rain we decided that a trip up onto the moors would be a bit 'Damp'!

TM said that her workshop would finish at one, so that  gave us a chance of another run in the Country Park and wot made it better was, the rain had stopped!

Of course, our main topic of discussion was the success OTL had with his 'Secret Camera'!

The other night TM left a bag of rubbish in the awning instead of putting it in the bin. In the morning it had been ripped open and the contents had been scattered all over the place. TM reckoned it was rats but OTL said it could have been a mouse or even a bird.

Holly said that it may be an Eee-Be-Goom that had come down from the moors early to get a good place to hibernate!

You can see that it looked very fierce and Holly said she would not like to meet it on a dark night!

Wot I didn't like was the eyes, scary or wot!

It was TM who said we were all a lot of Bozo's 'cos it was a Hedgehog! Well, it didn't look like a hedgehog to us but TM put out some Doggy Scoff that Holly and I decided was just too much for us!

It came up to our time to go to bed, so we opened the door to find the Eee-Be-Goom stuffing his face with Doggy Scoff, well, as Holly said, 'No wonder he looks fierce, having to eat Scoff'!

At one we were back to pick up TM and she came out from the class with her 'Creation' and Holly said it reminds her of the little Two Legs coming out from school with their 'Art Class' work!

Back at the caravan we decided to have a quick sniff around over by the river, that was until OTL called us to go in, which we ignored, until he was marching over to us, then we ran back before he could get to us!

Race you back Sis!
Tonight we plan an early night, just to make up for the last two days!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Another Day In Sunny Stockton on Tees!

Eee-Up Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Well, actually, Miss S and Mr B are back in the caravan snoozing the day away!

We on the other hand had to get up sooo early it was still dark for ages after we started off in the car!

Yesterday Old Two Legs was down at Malham Cove and managed to get a couple of pictures to show us.

Looking back from the bottom!

Looking back from on top!

Looking up from the bottom!

Looking across the top.

Finally, looking at the Cove as you approach from the village.
So, that was what he came back with yesterday!

This morning was terrible, we were up before even the early worm had woken, never mind the birds!

Holly and I fell asleep in the car while The Missus was panicing about her iPhoney mobile phone she had lost under the seat and couldn't get. Well, that was until OTL decided to stop and take a picture of the sunrise!

He opened the car door and was nearly blown back inside!

Still. was it worth it?

Morning over the Moors!
When we finally arrived at Stockton we had some fun finding the shop but in the end it was only by a process of elimination that we found it, well, OTL went up and down every street in the area!

Soon the tables were all laid out and TM was ready for her class to arrive!

All ready for the off!
OK, more later on!

Us back again!

We have been out on the hills today, well, I mean t'Moors!

OTL managed to find us a place where we can be let off our leads!

Mind you, there was a catch to it all!

Well, I'm only pulling him up to that bit then he's on his own!
Sneaky OTL kept his hand on the lead while we were doing all the hard work!

Pretty soon he relented and let us off the lead and we were away up the path in front of us 'cos you see we've got a Paw X Paw drive!

Just look at that view Sis!
Poor OTL was puffing and blowing all the way up, Holly had to go back and check on him a couple of times, just to make sure he hadn't fallen over the side!

No, it's OK, I can see him!
Mind you, when we were on top the wind was terrific, it nearly blew all the sniffs away!

Windy Innit?
So, here we are now, waiting for TM to finish her class and then it's back to the caravan.

Sorry it's been a bit of a mix-up with the blog but you've got two days all wrapped up in one today!

See you tomorrow, and would you believe it, TM is going to a class in the same area, Sunny Stockton on Tees!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

He Left Us!

Eee-Up Woofers!

It's us back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Well, would you believe it? Old Two Legs took us out for our morning walk, us and the ferrets, filled the water tank in the caravan, emptied the waste water, made sure we were all fed and watered and the ferrets comfortable in their cage, and the he left us with The Missus all day!

So, we had the lazy day again and OTL was off to photograph Malham Cove!

He has come back with some pictures but the Internet keeps dropping out whenever we try to up load the pictures!

So, as we have got to get up early tomorrow for TM's Master Class in Stockton on Tees, we will have to up load tomorrow night.

It was great when OTL arrived home at about eight this evening, Holly and I went a little bit potty and even the ferrets joined in the fun and games!

So, see you tomorrow with all the pictures!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Busy doing Nothing!

Eeee-Up Woofers!

We're back again!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

First of all, sorry about missing the picture of the Millennium Cross off yesterdays blog! Blame Old Two Legs, he got presented with dinner and we just had to help him eat it all!

Not to worry, we have put it in its rightful place in the blog!

Yes Elaine, we are on the CC site, called The Howard, super little place, no phone coverage, no Wi-Fi, no kids, no noise and last night, no other caravans!

We have hooked up to the Wi-Fi from the Abby caravan  site and OTL reckons they could do better with two tin cans and a length of string! Still, a small penalty to pay for being in the middle of the North Yorkshire Moor!

There is only one thing wrong, we can't be let off our leads! I can understand about not chasing the sheep but disturbing the ground nesting birds? It's Autumn and birds don't nest now!

I reckon they are more disturbed by the Two Legs hiding in their little holes and shooting at the birds with  their noisy guns!

We see no Sheep!
Today we have been Lazy, I mean, totally Lazy. The Missus has been playing around with her box of chemicals and stinking the caravan out! OTL has been trying to work on the computer but the computer keeps getting dropped out of the Network and loosing connection to the Internet.

Holly tries to stop OTL getting upset and jumps up behind him and gives him a cuddle.

Cuddling OTL!
It doesn't work! OTL is still grumbling and muttering curses.

In the end he gives up and has a game of 'Chase the Ball' in the caravan site, another thing he shouldn't really do but what the heck!

Lunchtime we are up on t'Moor again and Holly reckons she has found an Eee-Be-Goom nest under the heather, I stand on the rocks waiting for it to come out but in the end we decide it is an old nest and the Eee-Be-Goom has gone away on holiday!

Was that an Eee-Be-Goom that has now gone?
While Holly and I were hunting OTL was looking for more Fungi. The Fungi on the moors seems to be much smaller than the stuff we have down south but the colours are more intense, if you know what I mean!

Fungi with the spot on top!
This one had a funny looking spot, right in the middle of the cap and as we had never seen one like it before, OTL took a picture, just in case it is something special!

OK, we are off for dinner now, lambs liver tonight, plus what ever we can mug off OTL!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Didn't it Rain?

Eee-Up Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here.

There we were, all snoozy and tucked up in our beds last night when the Heavens opened up and a million or two gallons of rain water landed on us!

It was going all night long and it woke up the ferrets who showed off by kicking their poo pot around and that woke up The Missus who in turn woke up Old Two Legs and finally Holly and I were dragged from our slumbers!

This went on for most of the night and what was worse was listening to TM complaining to OTL, as if he could do anything about the rain!

The only good thing was that the awning stayed up and all the rain ran off the awning roof. Sometimes it forms big puddles in the awning roof and OTL has to go out in the middle of the night and push it all off!

When we finally got up, the ferrets were still a bit grumpy but they enjoyed scooting along on the wet grass, a sort of morning shower for them!

We went up on the Moor for our walk and there was loads of mist hanging about.

On top of t'Moor!
Holly and I enjoy our walks up there, loads of rabbit sniffs and Holly doesn't get stressed like wot she does in the fields down in the vales!

Oi! Come on out!
Of course, they didn't come out, they stayed in their holes until we had gone further down the path towards the bench we sat on the other day.

I had a good look at the stone and decided it was Iron Stone and not Sarcen, although it did have a pointy sort of top like the stone age monoliths!

OTL on the other hand looked back the way we had come and go the camera out again!

Looking Back!
TM had decided to do some cards, ready for her 'Master Class' this weekend in Stockton On Tees, so we left Inky Fingers to play and went for a drive across the Moors.

On our way back we came across this roadside cross, it looked like those very old crosses that you find in the middle of nowhere, however, this one was quite new and OTL gets out to have a look, and it was new, in fact it was made in AD2000 to commemorate the 'New Millennium' by the villagers of Rosedale!

AD2000
Dead Posh! Not everyone has a new cross in their village!

We went for several walks and OTL was inspecting the local fungi, one took his fancy 'cos it was small, about the size of a coat button, but it had hooks on!

Fungi with Hooks On!
Strange or wot?

OTL is out at the moment, sorting the ferrets out, it's time they came in for a Rampage around the caravan but Inky is still playing with her cards and we dread to think what will happen if they run across a wet card and leave 'Ferret Foot Prints' all over her card!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.
