Another trip to The Forest!

Hi Woofers!

How's your day been? Let me tell you about the day we have had!

It's the Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles show!

Last night it was cuddles for Holly, in fact she went hunting Old Two Legs and insisted she got a cuddle on his seat with OTL and stayed there almost all evening. I think that she finally moved only because she was getting too hot!

At least there were no Whizz Bands but every time The Missus dropped anything up in her store room Holly thought it was a Whizz Bang and gave a little jump!

This morning we headed off to The Beach and spotted a rabbit on the path, so we gave chase!

Lucky rabbit, he got away!

Quick he's just around the corner!
Down on the beach the sun was playing around with the clouds, as normal and all OTL had to do was wait for a sun beam!

Morning sun!
Both ferrets were emptied out of the bag and Miss Snowflake did a lap around the beach, in reverse!

OTL said she was 'Moon Dancing'!

I was more interested in digging a new  hole and when Holly asked what I was digging, I said that it was just a 'Hole Lotta Fun'!

A Hole Lotta Fun!
Miss Snowflake sneaked back into the bag but was getting a bit desperate 'cos she wanted a wee!

Are we off the beach yet?
Back home both ferrets had some fun chasing each other around the house and pretty soon they were both worn out!

So, it was back into Snowy Heights for a snooze and as OTL says, 'No One Sleeps Like a Ferret'

Sleeping as only a ferret can!
We left them to it and headed off to the sofa to snooze the morning away while OTL was working in the office.

About lunch time he had a delivery to make so off we went, leaving the ferrets still asleep!

We ended up in The Forest and just for a change, instead of walking around anti clockwise, as we normally do. OTL took us clockwise and you know, it was like walking through a new forest!

Of course we were squirrel hunting while OTL was Fungi Hunting!

A little fungi in the cracks in a tree trunk.
OTL was telling us that the Fungi is a way of getting the seeds spread about and the trees had their way of getting seeds spread about as well. We found a tree seed and a fungi and OTL took a picture!

More than one way to spread your seeds!
Holly and I had fun running through the leaves, that was until we ran into a muddy patch!

Three more steps and Squelch!
It was after that we kept off the main path and tried to keep to the tree trunks but there were times when we landed in the mud again!

Watch out for the muddy bits!
Back home we got a bit of a wash on our paws and OTL had to take his boots off before coming through the front door. If he hadn't, he would have been in deep poo!

So, tonight Holly says that she will need another cuddle, just to make sure there are no more Whizz Bangs and anyway, she like a cuddle with OTL!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles, (still snoozing)

We've Been 'Home Alone'!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Last night Holly was getting a bit twitchy 'cos she was expecting some more of those Whizz Bangs to be let off. So, she got prepared by jumping up onto Old Two Legs lap and cuddling up to him!

We were both listening but didn't hear anything! I said it would be possible that they have all finished but Holly wasn't too sure, so it looks like OTL will get another cuddle tonight!

The sun was out this morning and we enjoyed a good run down on the beach. OTL put the ferrets down at the rock pools and we both watched Snowflake have a scramble while looking for the 'Slimy Smelly Thing that hides under the sea weed!

Mr Brambles was more interested in having a dig on the beach, so he left her to it!

Oh Dear! I'm All Behind today!
It was all OK until we heard a splashing sound and saw that Snowflake had  slipped off the rock and landed, butt first, in a rock pool!

She was not a happy ferret!

Oh Bother!
Back in the car she got a rub down with our Doggy Towel and was all nice and dry in no time!

OTL took us back home and after cleaning the ferret cage, chasing the ferrets around in a game of 'Hunt The Ferret' he then grabbed his coat and left us!

I mean, he said 'Bye Bye' went down stairs and you know what? The Missus followed him out the door as well!

Seems like they had a list of 'Things to Do' that were going to take some time!

Holly and I decided that as they had left us, we would stretch out on their bed and snooze the day away until they came back!

That'll teach them!

You know, it wasn't until mid afternoon that they returned! Of course, the first thing OTL did was to take us out for our 'LATE'  lunchtime walk which was really a late afternoon walk!

Now it is getting dark, Holly has got a bit nervous again regarding the Whizz Bangs and has woofed at OTL to let her sit on his lap!

I think it's going to be another 'Cuddly Night'!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Holly Sorts Them Out

Hi Woofers!

Us again! Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

We've had a fun day today, it started off with both Holly and me waking Old Two Legs up, just to give him a Licky Kiss to tell we love him, even though it was four thirty in the morning!

The ferrets said that they would do that as well but were scared that if they did, The Missus might tread on them in her rush to get out of bed!

Mind you, when they are out walking in the morning Miss Snowflake does like a cuddle with OTL, just to help get her fur dry after a wash in the wet grass!

Mr Brambles very rarely does that, he is more interested in the new sniffs and trying to find the Weasels!

Mmmm, Weasel Sniffs!
Once Miss Snowflake had been thrown out of the Ferret Bag, she joined in the hunt for Weasels and decided it was really just the sniff from Mr Brambles from yesterday!

Hey! This sniffs just like you!
We met up with Max, Oscar and Bryn, then a bit later there was Barny and a Bozo Labrador, I mean, just so many dogs!

The ferrets had never been carried so much!

Lunch time we were down the beach again and OTL wouldn't let me in swimming, he said it was too cold!

Along the beach we met up with a six month old Rottweiler  who was being a bit cheeky. Holly warned him that he could get a telling of if he didn't show some respect!

Oh Yeah?
Well, that was it, up came Bozo and chased Holly and me about a bit. That was until Holly gave him a good woofing and I jumped up onto OTL's lap so I was above the Bozo , then I gave him a good woofing!

Soppy Bozo didn't know where to look!

Don't tell me off, it was just some fun!
Well, he was soon put in his place!

Further along the beach we met up with another woofer who was a cross breed like us, but a lot bigger!

Holly, having sorted out the  Bozo Rottweiler said that she would sort out this Bozo as well!

Me, having a bit more sense, legged it up the Sea Wall and was soon sitting next to OTL!

Sorry Sis, You're on your own!
Well, after a sniff, they both parted company and Holly carried on down the beach to where his owner was sitting, you can guess what she said!

OK, that's yer Woofer sorted, now get out the Sarnies!
No luck, the TL hadn't brought any with her!

That's it, back home again for a snooze before dinner. With a bit of luck the Whizz Bangs will have all be let off by now so we should get a peaceful evening!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

And Back Came The Rain, Then It Went Away Again and I Went Swimming!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles have returned again!

We had another peaceful night, Holly's tummy seems to have settled down, although Old Two Legs still has to inspect every poo us woofers do!

And I include the ferrets as woofers as well!

Poor OTL, I know he has to have a hobby but Poo Inspection?

Any way, off we went this morning, in the dry, to the car. Drive off down the road and the rain started. When we got to the Sea Wall, it was still raining and OTL hadn't brought our raincoats!

Out we got and ran down the path expecting short, productive, run before heading back to the car.

Just as we got to the rabbit field, it stopped raining!

In fact it didn't rain again until we got to the car again!

We have got some strange weather!

Down on the beach Holly and I started digging a hole but gave up after the ferrets came over and said it was orientated wrongly!

What do they know about holes?

Then Snowflake decided that 'In The Bag' was better than 'Walking on the sand' and in she went!

She stuck her head out when we got off the beach and OTL put her back on the ground so she can have a wash in the wet grass.

That was OK until she was clean and fresh, then she got OTL to pick her up again 'cos she wanted a cuddle, to get dry!

Sneaky Ferret or Wot?

Back home it was Doggy Scoff on the menu, Holly and I had a taste but decided that we would try some mugging first!

I got into the office just as OTL was giving the ferrets their 'Treat', Malt Paste Nibbles which are rather tasty and very crunchy! They help stop the ferrets from getting hair balls and other stuff.

I love them!

So, I mugged three from OTL while the ferrets were chomping away on their treats!

OTL finished cleaning out the poo pots (after inspection) and declared that 'Every Thing was Normal'!

Lunchtime came and the sun was out, so off to the Sea Wall again. Like yesterday, the tide was in and right at the top of the tide as well!

It was sunny, it was warmish, there were no big waves, I felt brave!

I went in swimming!

Well, there were some Two Leg Bozo's on the beach throwing stone in the water.

Sunday Bozo's
And I did ask OTL if I could go in!

Come On,Throw The Woofin' Stick!
Then I was in!

Wheeeeeeeee!
OK, it wasn't all warm but then again it wasn't freezing. OTL found a stick and I had a few splashes before it was decided I'd had enough and we should carry on the walk!

A bit further up the Sea Wall we met up with Charley who said that there was no way she would go in swimming and Holly said that I was just too daft!

You won't catch me in there!
I didn't care, it was fun!

Back at the car I got a good rub down with our towel that OTL keeps in the car, for wet days and swimming days!

Then we were off to the town to get a couple of cartons of Lactose Free Milk for the ferrets. They had drunk the last of their milk this morning and if they don't get their morning milk they show off all day!

There's just no living with them!

We are off now to watch the F1 Racing, stretched out on the sofa with a nibble or two and woofing at the screen!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

It's getting colder!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

You will be please to hear that Old Two Legs got a relatively undisturbed nights sleep last night. Well almost, I did wake up in the early hours with a desperate urge to give his ear and bald patch a serious licking!

Holly didn't get the need to wake OTL either, so, snoozing all night!

When we went to the front door to load the car up with The Missus's stuff for her Master Class, it was raining, wet rain, so on with the rain coat!

OTL decided not to take the camera 'cos it would get too wet, that means he had more time to run away from Miss Snowflake when we got to the beach!

It was rather funny 'cos they both got out of the bag, had a wee, then headed back to the bag again!

I must say, Holly and I had the same idea but there wasn't enough room in the bag, I mean, it was full of ferrets!

We had some fun taking a load of rubbish down the dump and then back for a breakfast of chicken followed by a snooze.

OTL had a look at the 'Instruction List' and decided to trim back one of the big plants in the garden, the one the Blackbird nests in each year!

Well, it kept OTL out of trouble!

Lunchtime came and OTL grabbed the camera and we headed off to the Sea Wall again but this time, instead of his normal camera he grabbed the Infra Red Thingy Camera, which means, Black and White photos!

The tide was right in and looking at how far it had come up the beach I reckon it must be a Spring Tide.

Well, I stood there and had a think, shall I or ....?

Do I really want a swim?
In the end I decided against it 'cos it was just too cold!

...and it looks too wet as well!
Holly came walking along and commented that it was just too windy for a swim, not that she would go in, even in the summer!

Too Windy for me!
Half way through the walk, down came the rain again! So, a quick wee and the short cut and back to the car at a trot!

Back home we had another nibble from our bowl and headed for the bed for another snooze before TM came back from her Master Class.

As it got dark the Whizz Bangs started again and Holly went up stairs to OTL in his office and demanded he pick her up and give her a cuddle!

I mean, he was tickling the ferrets at the time! Still, Holly came first 'cos the ferrets can sleep through anything, including Whizz Bangs!

So, with the rain heading our way it possibly could be a short episode of Whizz Bangs tonight, claws crossed!

See you tomorrow when we will be helping OTL in the garden!

Bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles

Forest Fungi, Galloping Woofers and Scary Cat Brambles!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

Wot a Friday!

We were out good and early 'cos Holly got Old Two Legs up at two thirty this morning 'cos she still had a Grumbly Tummy. That means we didn't get back to sleep and The Missus joined in by tossing and turning so much she kicked both Holly and me off the bed!

Well, there was nothing left but to get up earlier than normal!

When we got to the Rabbit Field, Holly said that she could see a load of Galloping Woofers!

Look! Galloping Woofers!
It was raining, but not too much, so with out coats on we headed for The Beach!

OK, but I'm not going in for a swim!
Mr Brambles said that as the ferrets didn't have rain coats they should get a 'Carry' from the Woofers!

Gissa Lift Miss?
Holly was trying to negotiate a fee for Ferret Carrying when Miss Snowflake noticed that OTL had crouched down to re tie his boot lace and quick as a flash, both ferrets climbed back into the bag!

Move over, I'm here!
Of course, a bit further on OTL emptied both ferrets out with the instruction to 'Get Out and Walk!'

Mr Brambles headed for the wet grass for a morning wash while Snowflake started to show off 'cos she wanted to get back in the bag!

I'm not going to forget this!
Back home for a game with Holly and then I got to go up in the loft with OTL for a sniff to see if there was anything new!

Lunchtime we were off to do some deliveries and then, 'The Forest'! OTL reckoned that there should be some more fungi showing so he took his Macro Lens to see what he could find.

First off there was a Puff Ball that if you touched the ball, then a puff of smoke came out of the hole in the top!

OTL said it wasn't smoke, instead it was spores, or fungi seeds!

A Puffing Puff Ball!
Holly and I met up with a couple of Two Legs that were out for a walk in the forest and Holly said that she could sniff sarnies, so we tried to mug them but they wouldn't give us anything at all!

Go on, just a little nibble of your sarnie!
OTL was busy snapping away at every bit of fungi he could see. We have seen all the fungi before, so nothing new came up but they had become more numerous!

More fungi under the logs.
Holly and I were more interested in the squirrels and we spent so much time watching the trees that we both ended up with sore necks!

Why won't they come down to play?
Back home, the Whizz Bangs started again and Holly and I ended up in OTL's office tucked under a couple of fleeces and with the TV volume turned up so it drowned out the noise of the Whizz Bangs. It didn't get rid of the noise but it helped!

So, here we are, under the desk hiding away from those Whizz Bangs, roll on tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

And Back Comes The Sun!

Hi Woofers!

It's us, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Holly Dog spent all yesterday evening cuddled up to Old Two Legs on the sofa, she was woofing and shivering almost all evening! In the end she settled down and then spent all night cuddled up to OTL on the bed, no room for me!

This morning when we went out the sun was shining and the sky was clear of clouds. OTL took one of his 'Sun Pictures' which has the makings of an 'Ethereal'!

Almost an Ethereal!
Miss Snowflake couldn't care about Ethereal's, she just headed for the ferret bag!

That bag's calling me!
OTL said that she had to get some exercise and he emptied her out onto the sand where she chased after OTL trying to get back in the bag! By the time she had got up the Rock Wall she was almost worn out!

I'm getting too old for this!
Mr Brambles was investigating the way the tide had washed all the cockle shells up the beach and into wall near the top of the tide mark.

Now this is an interesting phenomena!
Holly still had a Grumbly Tum and when we got back to the car she got her butt washed down with the hand wipes OTL  keeps in the car for such occasions!

But as Holly said, 'It's a good thing that the Grumbles have got to the Back Door' at least I will feel better!

Yeah, right!

Lunchtime we were expecting to get down to The Forest again but the stuff OTL was waiting for didn't turn up, so it was back to the Sea Wall again!

OTL spotted a Hover Fly enjoying his lunch!

Hovering over Lunch!
Then there was the small fungi in the grass.

This was here last year!
Holly was feeling much better and kept calling back to OTL, 'Look! I've got a Clean Butt!'

Clean Butt!
Near to the car park, we came across a Two Legs eating his lunch, so Holly tried the old 'Gissa Taste Mate?'

That didn't work, so she warned him that if she didn't get a sarnie she would 'Sort Him Out', that didn't work either!

Gissa Sarnie or your Dead!
You just can't reason with some people!

With a bit of luck there should be no more Whizz Bangs tonight, Saturday maybe, but tonight we should have a 'Happy Holly' and I might get to have a cuddle with OTL for a change!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Another wet Day!

Hi Woofers,

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Last night it was another of those 'Whizz Bang' nights when the local Bozo's were playing with their fireworks and of course, the louder the noise the more they enjoy it, but not for Holly. She hates them and we reckon she must have had a bad experience when she was a little puppy 'cos she hears a Whizz Bang, she woofs at it and then spends the rest of the night cuddled up in Old Two Legs arms shivering with fright!

I wish they would take all their Whizz Bangs and let them off in one place, (miles away), on one night, (like 5th Nov?) and make it illegal to let them off on the streets or in a public place!

Can't see that happening but I wonder how many of the Bozo's know how much distress these Whizz Bangs cause us!

And I even include Pussy Cats in that as well!

Tonight it is going to be more cuddles and strokes for Holly!

Today it has been 'Interesting' for us. Well, you see our normal parking place has been blocked off since the beginning of this week, 'Resurfacing the road' is the excuse and OTL has been having trouble giving us our normal walk. We have tried Tip Toeing through the Bull Poo, OK but not to be repeated. We've tried galloping around the field behind our house, OK but boring. Today OTL went back to our normal place and parked in one of the side streets and then guided us to the Sea Wall by a strange new path.

The ferrets were a bit unsure until we got to the normal path. Holly and I were a bit put out 'cos we couldn't spend more time investigating the new sniffs on this new bit of path.

Not to worry though, we got to our normal path and we all settled down to our normal sniffing and weeing and pooing and ferreting about!

We were even visited by Fred the Black Headed Gull who we haven't heard from all summer. He said he had been up stream a bit and enjoying time with his family on the big rubbish tip on the Essex side of the Thames!

Wotcha Girlie's!
Then he told us about the Mary Celeste that had been spotted out to sea by some of his mates. We said we would keep an eye open, just in case it passed close by.

Well, blow me down, didn't the mist clear a little bit and what did we see? There, coming out of the morning mist was the Mary Celeste sailing along, against the wind and with no sails up!

Scary or wot!

Mary Celeste Again!
Holly said it was getting just too much for her, Whizz Bangs and now Ghost Ships!

The ferrets had a game on the beach and it started to rain, so we all headed back towards the car. Miss Snowflake was complaining that the steps had grown a bit or she has shrunk in the rain the other day!

This is getting too difficult!
Back home it was Lambs Heart for breakfast, which I shovelled down as quickly as possible but Holly said she had a Grumbly Tum and decided to leave it for later. Then she curled up under a fleece and spent the morning snoozing.

Lunchtime we were out again, but not for too long, we left home and the rain wasn't falling, we get to the parking place we used this morning and the rain was pouring down! OTL got our rain coats out and put them on us. Then, leaving his camera in the car we headed off down the path again. Holly wasn't too impressed with the rain and after we had 'Done our Business' we both headed back to the car, with OTL running up behind!

That was it, back home to a second rub down with our towel and back to the fleece and our cushions for an afternoon snooze.

Holly is still looking a bit glum but the thought of lots of rain falling down will possibly keep the Whizz Bangs indoors has cheered her up a little!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

TM's Off The Prezzy List!

 Hello Woofers!

We are here again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We couldn't go to our normal beach this morning 'cos they are digging it all up and resurfacing the tarmac surface, so, OTL takes us to our local field and would have taken us to the beach, but there was a big herd of cattle blocking our way!

Well if it's not one thing then it's another!

Still, we saw the Power Station and the Gas Storage Tanks from a different angle!

Is that Grain I see before me?
We were all having fun on the new marshes, mainly because it is covered with Bull Poo! I won't tell you what Old Two Legs called it 'cos it's rude!

The ferrets had fun sniffing the new sniffs 'cos they hadn't come across Bull Poo before and they kept calling out to us all to 'Watch Out, There's a Pile over here!'

Just spotted another pile!
Miss Snowflake just wanted to get back in the bag 'cos as she said, 'All this stuff makes me scared'!

I have decided I don't like this!
Holly and I were having a great time, we ran all over the place trying to kick up some rabbits but I think that the cattle had scared them all off!

So, Holly and I had another game, we ran as fast as we could and the trick was not to step in the Bull Poo!

Tip Toe Thru The Bull Poo, Thru The Bull Poo, Won't you follow me!
I won, well, I didn't step into any until the last moment when Holly stopped suddenly and called out, 'Look, Rabbit Poo!'

Actually, it was Bull Poo that was well past it's 'Done Date'!

Mind The Poo!
We got back home and both Holly and I were a bit hungry. The Missus said she was going down to the butchers to get our Ox Heart and cook it up for us.

Now we were a bit puzzled 'cos she normally has to order it first before picking it up, but off she went in the car into the next village to get our meal.

Holly and I sat by the window waiting for her to return and our tummies were rumbling away as though they were about to fall out!

Then we saw TM come back and we woofed and jumped about 'cos we were so excited about having OX HEART!

TM came in and we followed her to the kitchen where she got out a tin of Doggy Scoff and put that in our food bowl!!!!!!!!

Doggy Scoff?????? What happened to the Ox Heart?

Holly said that it was a good job that we aren't on Face Book 'cos if we were we would 'De Friend' here straight away!

Still, OTL is still our friend and at lunchtime he took us to The Forest where we had a good run around chasing squirrels!

Oh yes, he was running around chasing Fungi!

A Bracket Fungi on a Silver Birch branch.
Then he found some small Parasol type of fungi that was growing right at the bottom of an old stump.

A Parasol Fungi.
I was on the lookout for squirrels 'cos Holly said that you could roast them over a fire and they tasted just like chicken!

Just Like Chicken?
OTL has started to look at Moss's now, you'd think he would be happy with just the fungi!

Still, it keeps him quiet!

Greeny Type of Moss!
Then he found another that a week or so ago he thought might have been fungi but now he has identified it as Moss Flowers!

Moss Flowers?
As Holly says, 'You won't get many Bees on those flowers!'

There was a real damp sniff in the air today, so we reckon that it's going to get a bit colder and Autumn is going to arrive very soon!

I mean, just look at this tree!

Autumnal Reflections!
OK, I know it's a bit naff but what do you expect from two poor starving puppies?

Got any Sarnies?

See you all tomorrow, the Whizz Bangs have started and Holly is throwing a Wobbler!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.
