Sunday fun hunting cats!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

After yesterdays fun and games we over slept this morning! We were just too tired to wake Old Two Legs up, so he over slept as well!

That didn't please the ferrets too much 'cos they were ready to out almost as soon as they had finished slurping their Lactose Free Milk!

As soon as they had finished they headed for the 'Traveling Cage' and kept on calling out for OTL to 'Get a Move On!'

We're Ready!

Down on the beach it was a bit chilly and Mr Brambles had to ask for a cuddle until he warmed up. Miss Snowflake also wanted a cuddle but OTL said she needed some exercise!

Mind you, that didn't stop them being very cautious and Brambles sent Snowflake up the steps first, just in case that Bozo on a Bike was around!

It's OK, you wimp, there's no sign of him!

 Holly was already half way up the grass path waiting for them!

Oh, do hurry up, I'm starving and there's chicken waiting at home!

Trust Holly to think with her tummy!

I was playing a game with OTL, I bet him a Doggy Choc that I could fly by flapping my ears!

So I ran along the Sea Wall and he took a picture!

Of course, the ferrets were having a ball in the grass, doing what ferrets do best...............!

Just having a Ferret Around!

Come lunchtime we were bundled into the big car and off we went to see Sassy & Tilly which was fun but a bit boring 'cos we were made to stay in one room, on our cushions, behaving ourselves!

That was until one of the cats arrived at the back door!

I tell you, the look on that cats face to see two woofers INSIDE while it had to stay OUTSIDE, in the cold, away from the food bowl and away from the comfortable chair!

Ah! Poor little Pussy Cats!

Back home we had the rest of our chicken dinner and then took up position waiting for OTL to get served his dinner!

We're Still Here!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here, and no, we haven't got lost!

Yesterday we were down the beach as normal with the ferrets, Miss Snowflake was still looking for her rock!

It was here a couple of days ago!

Then we heard a terrible noise, a loud, terrible noise!

All of a sudden, over the hill came this Two Brain Cell, Two Legged Bozo riding a trail bike all over the grass paths. The mess made by the tyres was awful, all the grass chewed up and holes made by him  trying to do 'Wheely Starts'. A seriously anti social Bozo who could have easily have run over a woofer or even a ferret who was walking along the path!

Back home there was all our stuff, you know, water bowl, chews, Doggy Scoff, Towels and rags to wipe out paws or backsides, depending on what gets grubby!

Then we were off to see Auntie Glynis and Uncle Alun, Old Two Leg's cousin!

They have some super woods at the back of their house, loads of new sniffs!

This is a Truffle Sniff!

 Mind you, we had to be careful in case we fell over the cliff edge 'Cos it was a long way down!

A Big Drop!

We decided to stick to the path and went back to sniffin!

The paths were well used by woofers and they soon turned into a quaggy mire!

It was a good job that OTL had brought his wellies!

Getting a bit Quaggy!

 We spotted a bird box like the one OTL has outside his window, except that this one didn't have a camera inside to watch what the birdies are doing!

When the path got too quaggy, we turned around and went the other way but pretty soon it turned into another quaggy mire!

So, that was it, back to Alun's to get our paws washed before being allowed onto the carpet!

Getting a bit soft again!

We had a super day and didn't get back until late last night, so that's the reason we missed the blog, sorry!

Still, look on the bright side, you get two today!

A Little Bit Off The Back Miss?

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

Well, today's the day! We were up early'ish 'cos we had to take The Missus up the village hall for her Friday Glue Slapping get together!

Then it was off to the beach, only we couldn't go our normal way 'cos the road was blocked, someone doing something with the drains so they won't flood the road when the rain comes. Mind you, it is fun splashing through the puddles and watching the water come all over the bonnet of the car!

The sun was up when we got to the beach.

Good Morning Mr Sun!

Old Two Legs put the ferrets down on the beach and Miss Snowflake was off like a shot, looking for her rock.

She couldn't find it! OTL had put her down five feet further along than normal and she got all disorientated!

Some one has Nicked Me Rock!

Mr Brambles wasn't interested in rocks, all he wanted was to get back in the bag but OTL said he had to use his legs!

I really want to get back into the warm!

Miss Snowflake did her business and was back on the beach looking for OTL to pick her up as well!

While she was running around OTL's legs Mr Brambles was calling out for a lift!

Oi! I'm still cold and really want a cuddle, NOW!

They both had to run after OTL as he marched up the beach and before long they had warmed up and were climbing up the 'Rock Face'. Mr Brambles reckoned that if someone let a rope down from the top he could climb up and get to the grass path quicker!

Yes, a rope let down there and we could be up like a flash!

Off they went again and Mr Brambles pushed in front of Snowflake as they got to the steps and while he was climbing up Snowflake turned to OTL and said.................

He can talk to his own tail!

From the beach we headed off to the Poodle Parlour for our 'Shampoo and Set'. You know, OTL has a shower every morning and we just don't know he puts up with all that soap and water splashing over him, even if it's warm!

We get dumped into a big basin full of warmish soap and water and we get washed from our nose to the tip of our tails!

Then, we get blow dried by this hand held jet engine!

Then it's out with the electric clippers and I must admit, I'm glad the jet engine blows warm air!

It is after lunch that we were declared as 'Done' and we are put in a cage to await OTL to find enough money to buy our release!

Hey! We just got some info on young Lucy Babe, you know she is having a course of treatment at the vets, well, she has got a super looking new knitted jacket with a Fur Collar!

Seriously Smart!

That's A Looking Good Lucy Babe!

She is getting used to the visits and now doesn't need the 'Sleepy Pill', she is super brave, I need a 'Sleepy Pill' just to get me in the front door, never mind when they stick needles into you!

Well, that's it for today. OTL says we got a lot planned for the weekend and there will be no staying in bed later than normal!

Yeah! Someone aught to tell him about getting up on time!

A Lazy Day!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

Well, today it hasn't been as cold as it was yesterday, mind you, it's still cold enough for us! Give us some warm sunshine and a paddle in the sea!

Old Two Legs says we will have to wait a bit before that can happen!

Yesterday he ordered up a couple of maps of the area where we will be going on our holiday in May! It makes us feel better getting ready to go on holiday, even if it is four and a half months away!

However, that made us feel good, and we will spend some time with Old Two Legs planning which beaches we should visit!

We were discussing the possibility of there being loads of rabbits down in Wales. OTL said that there should be loads and haven't we ever heard of the Welsh Rabbit?

Will there be Welsh Rabbits down there?

This discussion took up a long time, we were still discussing it half way through our walk!

Holly says that she has heard that the Welsh Rabbit is a bit like the Highland Haggis except that the front legs are longer than the back legs 'cos they are always looking down hill!

Miss Snowflake said that she had heard that the Welsh Rabbits did a lot of singing and wore miners lamps on their ears!

Then she slipped off the rock and landed in the puddle again!

Oh Dear! I'm all damp again!

This sort of made her a bit upset and to help dry off she chased Mr Brambles along the beach and up the steps. She was telling him to 'Hurry Up' and 'Shift Himself' but Brambles wasn't having any of that and told her to..........

Talk To The Tail!

Back home we had chicken followed by a good snooze under the office desk! OTL spent the morning trying to find some space to store the Glencoe pictures, he had to do some major re-organising of the files in his Storage System!

Lunchtime down on the Sea Wall, the water was splashing up and over the wall.  At one time I thought OTL had a ball with him and was going to throw it in the water for me to fetch!

You Gotta Ball?

 But OTL said it was too dangerous and for me and not to be a Silly Woofer!

Maybe he's right!

Holly said that if I wanted to go in the water, then she was off 'cos I could do it on my own!

No Way! I'm Off!

So, that was it, no swim! Mind you, I didn't really fancy it and I only said it to wind up Miss Silly Knickers!

Not sure what OTL has for dinner but we will have some of it you can be sure!

See you tomorrow, we're off to have our hair cut, The Missus is off to the village hall and OTL is off doing deliveries!

The Snow Fairy Passed By!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

It was a bit cold this morning! I know the puddles weren't frozen but the low temperature and the wind made it feel like twenty degrees below!

Of course, both ferrets stayed tucked up in their Ferret Bag and only once did Miss Snowflake stick her nose out, just long enough to ask 'Are we There Yet'?

Seems like she wanted a wee!

Wake me when we get there!

As soon as she was put onto the beach she dashed off to find her 'Special Rock' but backed up too far and ended up with a wet Butt!

I think I'm sitting in something Cold and Wet Again!

Mr Brambles stayed on the beach and put on his 'I'm Thoroughly Cold and Miserable' look so Old Two Legs picked him up for a cuddle, until they got to the grass when he was off like a shot!

I really need a cuddle!

 Soon he was diving into the grassy holes made by Rats and Weasels and having a good sniff all over the place!

Any Good Sniffs Snowy?

 Miss Snowflake was still showing off 'cos OTL wouldn't pick her up and told her she needed to 'Get Some Exercise'!

Oi! I need cuddles too!

 On out way back home, OTL stopped off at the Village Church 'cos there were Daffy Dills in flower!

Holly said that there must be something wrong with them 'cos they're not supposed to bloom until Easter!

Of course, OTL came up with a good answer...........

It's the excess of Bone Meal!

Walking back to the house from the car, there were flakes of snow blowing about, not enough to say that The Snow Fairy had arrived but more like enough to say she could have a bit of dandruff!

Breakfast was late, The Missus was too busy playing with some new stencils she got, so, instead of warm Lambs Heart we had to put up with Cold Meat!

Maybe we need some of Archie Babes Whiffs just to get her attention!

Lunchtime we were back down on the beach but it wasn't any warmer, in fact I'm sure it was colder than this morning, mind you, the cold rain didn't help! If you're facing the wrong way it gets right up yer tail!

I don't like when it catches you like this!

 Mind you, it looks to have been a very high tide, a 'Spring Tide', we couldn't even see the break waters!

Spring Tide?

 This afternoon we finished of a second helping of Lambs Heart and a Teeth Cleaning Chew!

Then it is off to snooze until it's time for OTL to have his dinner and us to try to rob him of a nibble or two!

Not sure if there is any snow forecast for tomorrow but us Woofers reckon that OTL can keep his snow up in Scotland and leave us to the sun shine!

Back to Normal'ish!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

I am glad to let you all know that things have now returned to normal, well as normal as normal is in this house!

Lets face it, who would think it normal to run off to a place with loads of snow, on your own and spend your birthday, on your own and call it normal?

Old Two Legs has always been a bit strange like that, you know he has even been climbing the mountains on his own when his mate couldn't come with him!

Well, today he set off with all of us to explore the wilds of Grain Seashore!

The wind was howling and the snow came in horizontally and the wild bears were chasing us across the sandy beach!

Not really but you could imagine that OTL would think that was great fun!

Instead it was a little quieter than that!

All the Sniffs are Frozen!

 Due to the cold, the sniffs had no real information to give us and Holly said the only sniff she had found was me!

You know, she even started whinging about the water being frozen and she couldn't get a drink!

Look! The water is all hard!

 We had a bit of a laugh at Miss Snowflake 'cos she did her normal thing of climbing all over the Sea Weed to have a wee but got stuck between two rocks and OTL had to got and rescue her before she fell in the cold water!

Help! I'm stuck between a rock and a wet place!

Mr Brambles stayed on the shore and gave OTL such a pitiful look that OTL picked him up and gave him a cuddle until they got to the grass!

I marched up and down the beach looking for the Bears, but I couldn't find even a sniff!

I see no Bears!

 Back onto the grass Holly reckons she could sniff bear wee but I said it was Barney Number Two 'cos I recognised the sniff!

It's a Bear! No, it's Barney No 2!

 Back home we got some new Doggy Scoff which didn't taste too bad and I had a chew on it and almost finished the bowl but Holly said it tasted like Sheep Poo, which I have tasted and it's not too bad!

Anyway, Holly marched off with her nose in the air saying that she wasn't going to eat it and she was off hunting for old chews that she could sniff under the bed!

OTL was working away and had to go into the lift for some stuff, so, Holly and I got him to give us a lift up there and we went off in search of Nargles!

We didn't find any but it was still good fun having a rummage about in the corners!

No, no Nargles here either!

 We made a big fuss of hunting about that OTL was dead impressed with our search technique, so much so that he said he would ask The Missus for some real food for us tomorrow, you know, Steak & Rice!

You mean real, 'Real Food'?

 Well, that's all that Holly and I have been talking about all afternoon!

I wonder if TM will Braise or Stew the steak?

Claws crossed, we may get some real food soon, if not, Holly says that she will fall over on the footpath and just 'Fade Away'!

Right, we are off now to see what OTL has for dinner, I hope it tastes nice and is 'Muggable'!

Home Alone!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Today has been a weird day, Old Two Legs stayed in bed a whole half an hour longer than normal, naughty OTL!

Down on the beach Miss Snowflake fell into a rock pool while having a wee!

That made her jump!

It's enough to turn a girls hair white!

 Pretty soon she came running back to OTL asking for a warm towel!

OK, no towel, put me back in the bag for a bit then!

 Just as she was climbing into the bag, Holly and I heard a lot of woofing from over the hill!

There be Woofers over yonder hill!

 We were rushed back home and in a flash both OTL and The Missus disappeared in the big car and saying they will be back later!

That was it, left all alone with nothing to do but woof a the passers by!

OTL arrived back at lunchtime, took us for a walk on the Sea Wall then dumped us back indoors and off he went again!

Holly and I are going to have a serious talk with him tonight!

Back to Normal Again!

By the way, did we tel you He's Back!

Of course we did and last night Holly and I cuddled up to him and I gave him a good licking on his bald patch, just to show we're pleased to have him back!

When he left Glencoe yesterday it was frozen ice and snow all over the car and it took some time to get it all off. When he did set off it started to snow again!

It got heavier and thicker the higher he went up Glencoe and by the time he got up to the Ski Lift it was almost a white out! Low cloud, horizontal snow and a big traffic jam 'cos someone had slipped off the road into a ditch!

Scary or wot!

That Snow Plough is Bigger Than OTL!

By the time he had got to Rannoch Moor the road had almost disappeared and was replaced with compacted show and ice, but the blizzard had stopped!

Hello Rannoch Moor!

The sun was trying to break through and while it never made a 'Full Blast Sunrise' there were moments that made him go 'WOW!' So he just had to take a photo!

All the road to himself!

Once he had cleared Rannoch Moor, he said he felt a lot safer, at least he could see the road under the ice and snow. The snow plough  had been out and it had spread salt all over the place. One thing you can say about the Scots is that they know how to handle snow!

The Snow Stopped!

I mean, down here in The South, two snowflakes fall and everything grinds to a halt!

Just imagine what would happen if they woke up to this!

Just a Dusting of Snow?

 Soon he was heading down to Tyndrum where the famous Green Wellie Shop is and that's where he stopped and took off his 'Cold Weather Gear' ready for the drive back home.

On the way down to Tyndrum.

So, after that it was a long drive back to us!

Now, OTL will put away the pictures for a few months before he edits them and throws the duff ones away and saves the 'Keepers'.

I've managed to snaffle a few before he transferred the files so.........here they are!

Well about eight tonight he got in and after over five hundred miles and Snow Blizzards, White Out and Snow and sleet and rain and sun shine and slush and motorway driving and more rain, He's Back! He's Back! He's Back!

He crept in and as soon as we spotted him it was Licky Licky all over his little bald head!

Even the ferrets joined in in giving him licks on his ears and his cheek!

Miss Snowflake got all emotional and then licked his hand and Mr Brambles cuddled up and gave him a special licking in his nose!

I think you will agree that we are glad he is home.

Now, it's off to bed and a cuddle.
