Another Day in Woofer Land!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

Yes, Miss Snowflake is much improved and has been dancing and Dooking around today. In fact, Old Two Legs decided that she could come out for a walk with us this morning. Much to Brambles disgust,  'cos that means he has to behave himself!

Both ferrets spent a long time in and under the sea weed, OTL had to call them back 'cos at one time they were heading out to sea!

Just look at what I've found!

 They were scrambling around having loads of fun.

It's Good to see her having fun!

 OTL had to pick up both ferrets when we met up with a couple of woofers who were off their leads!

Wanna sniff some Really Good Sniff?

They were soon off when we told them about the sniffs back down the path.

Back home, Snowflake got ready to go to the vet!

When she and OTL got there she was looked at and stroked and then OTL picked her up and gave her a cuddle as the vet advance with the Anti Biotic stuff in a syringe!

They managed to get it in her mouth and squirted down her throat, but Snowflake did a big shake of her head and it went Splosh, over everyone!

She did say that some went down her throat, but not much!

OTL made another appointment for tomorrow, just to finish off the bottle!

Lunchtime we were out down the beach again and it was great, the sun was shining, the water was warm and I was in up to my tummy!

Looking for a stick!

OTL found a stick and we had a good game of 'Throw The Stick' and I had a great time swimming in the sea.

Got It!

 Holly was showing off 'cos she doesn't do swimming or anything involved with getting wet!

This is, SO BORING!

 In the end I had to get out and have a run along the Sea Wall where we came across young Dave who was out for his midday trot!

Yo Girlie's!

 OTL was investigating the Hawthorn bush again but all the butterfly action was in the air and he didn't get any more pictures but he did spot a Buff Tail Bumble Bee!

So now we are looking forward to our Ox Heart dinner, then afterwards, we plan to give OTL a good mugging 'cos he has got sausages tonight and we like sausages!

Good Signs!

Hello Woofers!

Us here, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Well, thanks for all the kind wishes for Snowflake. We are pleased to report that she was alive all night and we know that 'cos Old Two Legs kept on getting up to check!

This morning she was awake and eating a little. OTL says her poo is almost back to normal, and that's a good sign!

Trying to get her to take her medicine in another thing!

She has to have her Anti Biotic stuff, by mouth, and as OTL says, 'You'd think I was trying to get her to drink molten lead'!

She wouldn't let him squirt it down her throat, the vet did that yesterday, mixing it with Ferretone made it look like OTL was trying to poison her!

OTL mixed it up in a load of Ferretone but we are sure she hasn't had her full dose for today, so, tomorrow he is going back to the vet for some help!

She was separated from Brambles yesterday and over night, in case of infection but this morning she was desperate to get out of the cage and at one time was trying to bite through the steel bars!

In the end OTL gave in and half way through the morning she went back with Mr Brambles. The pair cuddled up with each other and fell asleep!

Before all that OTL decided that Snowflake should stay in her cage and took Mr Brambles out for his morning walk!

Of course, not having Snowflake to tell him what to do and where to go, he was enjoying the freedom of  'Self Determination'! 

OK, you hang on, I'm off for a wee!

 And of course, it was up to him when he came back!

OK, I'm back, off we go!

On the grass path he dived off the side and was having a great time rolling in the grass and enjoying the warm sun shine on his back!

This the Life!

Up on the Top Path he found that Super Sniff he found yesterday and dived straight in for another roll!

The way he was rolling about you could see he enjoyed a roll as much as us woofers!

This just Greeeeeeat!

That was until OTL told him to get up and 'Come On'!

....but, I haven't Finished yet!

OTL heard a woofing behind us and saw it was that big Doodle Dog that Snowflake had nipped on the nose a few weeks ago!

I got a bit worried and got close to OTL but he was too worried about Brambles and was too busy picking him up rather than me!

Pretty quickly, the Two Legs came running up and put the Doodle Dog on his lead, that sorted him out!

That will teach you!

Back home we went to a Chicken breakfast which slipped down a treat!

Both ferrets were comfortable tucked up together and Snowflake was eating and pooing more like normal so OTL is not so worried as last night!

Lunchtime we were out again and down the beach we went.

First we came across a family who had put up a tent to keep the wind out, and also hide the food!

Holly was straight in and sniffing!

Come on, Show us yer Food!

I left Holly trying to do some mugging and I headed for the water!

Hey! Holly! Look! Fishes!

Not that she fell for that! In the end, without getting a nibble, we headed off down The Sea Wall.

Before long we were down on the beach again and there, on the beach, without our permission, sat a family of Two Legs, eating lunch!

That looked like a challenge!

We plotted and planned and just when we were ready to go, OTL decided to head off home!

OK, Pincer Movement followed by a chase into the sea?

OK, so we didn't do it really, instead we headed off to do some mugging at home!

As we got closer to the car park, the Hawthorn tree was in full blossom and there, diving into the flowers was a fresh looking butterfly enjoying the sun and the nectar!

First Peacock of the year!

Back home, the poo tray was looking good and both ferrets were fast asleep enjoying being together again!

So, tomorrow, the vet again and who knows what else?

Miss Snowflake has us worried.

Hi Woofers!

Us back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

The weather has brightened up and there is sun shine all over the place!

Miss Snowflake is worrying us though.

Last night when Old Two Legs stopped by to say good night, Snowflake was acting like she got something stuck in her throat and was trying to get it back up again, then she stopped, had a cuddle with OTL and a slurp of Ferretone and seemed to be a Happy Ferret!

This morning when OTL took up their Lactose Free milk, Mr Brambles, as normal, was trying to beat the door down while Snowflake was still in bed and not moving, at all!

When OTL got her out of bed, she ignored the milk and headed straight for her 'Adventure Playground'. Got into her favourite corner and curled up as if she was going to sleep!

Most unusual!

While Snowflake was curled up, OTL inspected the ferret poo trays and while Brambles was normal, Miss Snowflake had some poo that was just not right, sort of dark pink and not much of it!

OTL started to wonder if she was OK.

We left her in the cage and took Mr Brambles out for our normal walk along The Sea Wall.

First of all he decided to get out for a wee, then he got back in the bag, then he got out for a wander around while Holly and I had a wee!

Hey! Woofers Wee!

Down on the beach we were all snuffling about when we were joined by Bryn, who insisted on giving Brambles a sniff, just to say hello!

Little did he realise, Brambles was in Mid Poo!

Do You Mind! I'm having a Poo!

Back up on the Grass Path, we were all enjoying a sniff and a Ferret Around in the long grass, Brambles was having a great time, ferreting about in the grass and then rolling about in Ferret Sniffs!

This grass is so full of Ferret Sniffs!

 Along the Top Path, Brambles found what he called a 'Super Ferret Sniff'.

In fact, it was so good that he spent ages just rolling about in the sniff!

This is Goooooooooooooooood!

Holly was a bit put out 'cos OTL didn't tell him to 'Stop It' as he does if Holly or I find a sniff worthy of a roll!

Back home The Missus told us that Snowflake had been trying to be sick again but nothing came out.

OTL started to get his 'Worried Look'.

He started off by inspecting Snowflake for anything unusual but could find nothing. Then he had a look on the Ferret Forums to see if anything looked similar.

One thing turned up and that was a 'Hair Ball'. Ferrets can't cough up a Hair Ball like a cat can, instead they have to pass it through their system.

All opinions agree that the first thing to do is get the ferret to a vet.

On a Sunday, on an Easter Sunday?

Luckily, our normal vet is part of a big practise and one of the branches was open!

So, that was it, an appointment in one hour and take your credit card with you!

Off went OTL and Snowflake to the vet who admitted that she wasn't very up on ferrets!

She started off by agreeing that there were no lumps in or around Snowflakes tummy. Then she took her temperature by sticking a thermometer where the sun don't shine!

Thank Gawd for Ferretone! Snowflake didn't bat an eye lid, instead she carried on slurping the Ferretone!

Then her heart was checked and pronounced to be OK, her temperature was OK.

The vet said she couldn't rule out a Hair Ball but she couldn't rule it in either. However, she thinks it may be a bug in the intestines.

So, a slurp of Anti Biotic was administered with instructions for giving some more each day. Next she got a Laxative to take if there was no poo in the tray tomorrow.

Back home OTL made up some 'Duck Soup' which is some chicken, kibble, and egg and a healthy dollop of Ferretone, all mixed up in the food blender until it is a paste.

OTL tried to get Snowflake to have a lick but she really didn't fancy it!

She is now separated from Brambles, just in case it is infectious, and doing what ferrets do best, sleeping!

OTL has left the 'Soup' in a small bowl in the cage together with some kibble.

So now we will wait and see what happens. She hasn't tried to be sick again for some time so we are all keeping our claws crossed that the Anti Biotic is taking effect and she starts eating again!

More news when it arrives!

Getting Better, we think! And 150 Ping Pong Balls!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Well, today, what can I say? First off it was a bit cold, a nasty little draft coming from The North! Even the ferrets didn't want to hang about!

Miss Snowflake was in and out of the sea weed like a shot!

OK, I'm Back, let's get a move on!

Mr Brambles didn't go near the rock pools and instead almost beat Holly to the top of the hill!

Old Two Legs got all excited about a Curlew who was marching up and down on the mud looking for his breakfast. Holly said that the Wormy Men had got all the worms!

All I want is just One Worm!

A couple of Black Headed Gulls were mooching about on the rocks but we didn't stay for a chat, it was too cold for that!

Well, they didn't stay long!

Back home The Missus had got up and was feeling better, we know that 'cos she was making a card and sploshing ink about with a White Wash Brush!

Mind you, it didn't last long, she was soon back in bed saying she felt 'Wobbly'.

We are not too sure if she is still infectious and can OTL get The Bug?

Lunchtime was no better really, the wind was still blowing and there was some rain in the air as well!

The tide was in and the waves were crashing about on the shore!

Definitely the day for being tucked up in a warm place!

OTL has been complaining of a 'Ticklish Cough' and a head ache, but no sore throat, so we reckon he has still escaped the flu and was just looking for some sympathy!

We have left him to carry on with his new printing machine and trying to sort out ten good picture but the colours don't always come out the way he wants and he does get ratty when that happens!

Now, OTL was reading some stuff on one of the Ferret Forums and someone recommended that a box full of Ping Pong Balls would be great fun for a ferret to go 'Swimming' in.

Now, he has a box big enough, so, all he needs is the Ping Pong Balls and he located them on Amazon, One Hundred and Fifty for just £7.50!

Well, that was it, order placed and we expect them to turn up Friday of this week, subject to Royal Mail service!

We are looking forward to seeing the ferrets playing in that lot and if they don't like it, Holly and I will!

A Relaxing Friday

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back on Good Friday!

Old Two Legs is still sleeping down stairs to keep away from an infectious Missus who has taken over the bedroom!

It's great fun 'cos we go up and give TM a cuddle then rush back and jump on OTL, lick his ear and snuggle down for a cuddle, until we want to go back and give TM a cuddle again!

Today, TM has got out of bed and struggled downstairs to watch TV and give OTL instructions!

Holly said she would stay with TM and make sure she got cuddles all day!

Out for our walk this morning, the ferrets fell asleep on the way down to the sea side and OTL had to pick them out of the travelling cage while they were both still asleep!

Excited Ferrets!

Mind you, as soon as OTL put them into the Ferret Bag they wanted to get out for a wee!

We headed off to The Beach and on the way OTL spotted a rabbit, but he didn't tell us!

It was sitting there, as still as a statue, frozen to the ground!

I'm not moving Mister, honest!

Of course, the wind was in the wrong direction and although the rabbit could sniff us, we couldn't sniff her!

Well, that's our excuse anyway!

The tide was out and both ferrets had a play in the sea weed and Miss Snowflake even managed to fall into a rock pool and she ended up with wet paws!

Oops! Wet Paws Again!

We were all running along the beach, heading for the grass path, when Baily poked his head over the Sea Wall to take a look at the ferrets.

He says they were 'Sweet' but as Holly says, 'Yeah, Sweet, until they take a nip of your back legs when your not looking'!

They are so Sweet!

We got back home to find TM sitting on the sofa preparing a long list of 'Urgent Jobs', OTL sneaked off up stairs to try to find a suitable Hidey Hole so he can escape!

Lunchtime we were down the beach again and the tide had just turned to go out, so there was a couple of feet of wet stones on the shore!

Holly and I did some 'Sniffing' along the high tide mark but there was nothing terribly interesting.

 There was a Sea Gull passing and we asked if he had seen Sid on his travels? Unfortunately he hadn't seen Sid since he left for the Essex side of the Thames, so we expect he has met up with his family and was staying over there for Spring.

Sid? Nah! I haven't seen him for a while!

So that was it, back home for a good brush and an application of the 'Anti Tick' drops on our back!

It's a good sign when we get them 'cos that means the holiday isn't too far away!

We have been doing some investigations on the Internetty and see that there are loads of rabbits in the area, so we are looking forward to some serious Rabbit Chasing!

TM has decided that she got up too early and will have an early night. OTL told her she should stay in bed but who ever listens to OTL?

Well we don't, unless it is to our advantage!

Last Day Before Easter!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

Well, where to begin?

This morning, Old Two Legs was complaining that he hadn't had a good nights sleep, so, what's new?

He said that last night he was woofed at by Holly 'cos she wanted a wee. Then he was jumped on by Holly 'cos she wanted a cuddle. Then he was woken up by me jumping on him and kept awake by two woofers who were arguing over the best place to cuddle up to OTL!

He has been all sort of 'Wobbly' on his feet today, lack of sleep he says!

When we got down to The Beach this morning, some brainless moron had been let loose with a can of spray paint and had sprayed the Sea Wall!

OTL says it is advertising a 'Rave' this weekend. Holly did suggest that they could go out of the mud and have the rave, just when the tide is coming in!

Dumb & Crass!

Slave to Moronic Anti Social Behaviour!

The local police have been informed and we wait to see what will happen!

Not if the Police get there first!

Enough of Morons, let's get on with some proper fun!

There is nothing so wonderful as digging a hole on the beach!

I was really giving it some stick! OTL asked if I was going too deep, Nah! You cant' go too deep, just make sure you...................

Shore it up with Big Timbers!

Back home OTL managed to get most of his chores done by midday, TM was fed breakfast, she is feeling better and a good dose of TV on her iPlod Thingy helped as well.

She is now up to a coffee in a 'Large Mug' so we reckon another day in bed and she will able to get up and order OTL about from the comfort of the sofa!

The TV is also much bigger down stairs!

When it came to lunchtime, we headed off to do some deliveries and on the way back home we stopped off at The Riverside Park!

It was windy but not too bad really!

I got all excited and went in for a little paddle, which got me told off for being a 'Soggy Doggy'!

Me, in Trouble Again!

We met up with a load of other woofers who we had never met before but we all enjoyed a sniff and a chat about the sea weed sniffs!

Hello Lads!

There was one woofer who said he had rolled in his sniff and we were just dying to know where he got it!

When we got to Horrid Hill, Holly and I had a super game of 'Chase' just like we did when we were puppies!

I'm after yer Tail!

Holly had a look over the wall and decided that there was no way she was going to jump into the water!

In your dreams!

We headed back towards the car and half way along the path I got this terrible urge and I called to Holly to follow me and chase a fish or two!

She fell for it and went in to her knees!

Look Holly! Fishes!

OTL called us out then told us off for being Two Wet and Soggy Doggies!

In trouble twice in one walk, is that a record?

Back home, we told TM about our run and then had a snooze before dinner!

TM stayed in bed today, just, as OTL says, to keep all the germs in one room!

I don't know how long she will stay there but we don't want the ferrets to get infected 'cos they can catch flu from Two Legs and it may be dangerous for them!

Sounds like everyone has The Bug!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Well, what a day!

Old Two Legs had to sleep downstairs last night 'cos he didn't want to catch The Missus Flu. He was all tucked up fast asleep when Holly and I came bounding down stairs and jumped on top of him and gave his nose a good licking!

That woke him up!

We had a cuddle then went back to TM 'cos there was more room on her bed!

The sun was up when we went out for our walk  and Holly suggested that one morning, instead of walking the path we should try going along the Sea Wall. I said that may be an interesting walk but we would miss the chance of a rabbit or two!

Fancy a Change?

Miss Snowflake had the pickle in her this morning 'cos she kept chasing Mr Brambles up and down the beach! He got so fed up with her and he ran up the beach and started to dig a Monster Hole!

Snowflake said that as it was April 1st, we should play a trick on him!

Let's bury his Rock in the hole?

Now, we are always up for a joke, especially as it's April the First but even we wouldn't be so cruel as to hide his rock!

Who needs Doggies, I can dig my own Monster Hole!

Holly got into trouble on the way back and as punishment we were both put on the lead! You know, we even missed out on the rabbit sniff the ferrets said were in the long grass, they found it but we just carried on walking.

It's rather boring on a lead!

Just get that Rabbit Sniff!

 Back home OTL was dashing about doing his 'Nurse Bit' and TM was giving him instructions, like, 'I want my coffee in a smaller mug' and 'I want some orange juice diluted with 25% water with my pills'

Holly said that OTL should give her some worming pills as well, that would send her back to sleep!

Lunch time arrived and OTL had just finished all the housework when I got that feeling, you know, that feeling that says 'It's Walkies Time'!

So I gave him the old 'Hairy Eyeball'!

Oi! Do you know what time it is!

 The tide was in, in fact it had just gone past 'High Tide' Holly and I were interested in all the sniffs on The Sea Wall and the sun was shining down and once we got out of the wind, it was rather warm!

That made me think, Paddles or even A Swim!

So, when we got close to the beach I gave OTL 'The Look' and indicated that we should play on the beach but he said that he had to get home 'cos there was some one turning up for his stuff!

 I still wanted a paddle!

OTL called me to follow, then turned around and walked up the hill.

I didn't move, I still gave him 'The Look'!

 Off went OTL up the hill, off went I for a paddle!

Trubble or Wot?

 Well, OTL came back down the hill and onto the beach, I thought he was going to have a game but instead he clipped the lead onto my collar!

No Hole Digging,

No Chasing!

No Racing with Holly!

Holly was busy talking to some Turn Stones who were complaining that they couldn't have a mooch around on the beach 'cos I was making too much fuss!

Can't you keep her under control!

 So, back home to do some more work and get the stuff out for the carrier.

Not sure if OTL will have time for the camera today, he says that he has to get everything done before the end of the week in case he gets some of the Flu Bug!

TM was on Face Ache when we got back and reeled off a load of names of our Woofer Mates who had got the bug and were not happy about it!

So, the question is, who brought it to the Daventry Bash?
