Playing with a Fish Eye!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

It has been a busy day today. First of all we were woken up by The Missus getting up and crashing about at four thirty!

She is getting better, we can gauge the improvement by the time she gets up!

Old Two Legs was instructed to assist her in getting the Hall ready for her Master Class, so that means we had to get up early and up the hall by seven thirty!

OTL was eating his breakfast and was chatting to Snowflake about using a Fisheye lens for a day.

Just as an experiment!

Miss Snowflake asked that she see what it could do first of all before giving the experiment her blessing, so, OTL gets it out and clicks one off, only to decide that using an 'On Camera Flash' was not the best idea!

Mind you, Snowflake saw the joke 'cos she was blowing a raspberry at OTL at the moment he pressed the shutter release!

 Off we went and after helping TM get set up we were off to The Beach for some fun and games.

 It was a bit windy but not cold, so we all had a chase about enjoying new sniffs!

Down on the beach OTL sat down to watch the ferrets charge around and I started to dig a hole.

Mr Brambles was sitting on OTL's lap  watching the fun and games Holly and I were having.

Then he spotted Snowflake who was charging up the beach to my hole!

Oh No! What is she doing now?

 You know, that sneaky ferret, she crept up behind me and shoved her wet cold nose up my tail!

Well, what's a woofer to do when that happens?

I jumped out of the hole and then, as quick as lightening, that sneaky ferret was in and having a dig!

Move over Woofer!

That was it, my hole was stolen from me! All I could do was to move to the side and dig another!

That'll teach her!

As we were heading for the sea wall, a couple of Old Ladies stopped to say hello to OTL and they had a young poodle with them as well.

First they said hello to OTL and both had a look at OTL's lens. They were tickled to be able to see themselves as OTL took their picture!

Yes! I can see you as well!

Their mate the Poodle was beside himself with excitement and he couldn't leave the lens along!

He just kept looking at it and saying 'I can see Me! ....I can see Me!.....I can see Me!'

We got back home and Miss Snowflake had a snooze before being taken down to see the vet. This was just a checkup to make sure the medicine had worked, which it had and you know, she didn't even bite him!

Lunchtime we were down the beach again and this time OTL was playing with the wide lens again and I must admit, it sure does show a wide expanse of beach!

Now this one is good 'cos not only is it W-I-D-E but you can see the fourteen star spikes which is caused by the lens!

One of the other things this lens can do is allow you to get very close to the subject and once the distortion is taken out, the finished picture looks brilliant!

I can see OTL playing with that again when the flowers bloom!

 We are now off to wait for TM to return, we always sit up in the bedroom window waiting for her!

Where have all the Tadpoles gone, long time passing?

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

I think the weather is improving down here is North Kent, when went out this morning we could see the Grain Tower!

We haven't seen that for a while!

Both ferrets had a game in the sea weed again and I had a roll in something smelly, but Old Two Legs didn't see me!

Oops! That was a close thing!"

Miss Snowflake tried to get a lift in the Ferret Bag but OTL told her she needs exercise!

I've had a little run, can I get back in now?

 When OTL wouldn't let back in she chased after Brambles, jumped on top of him and gave him a severe tickling!

No! Don't! It Tickles!

Back home Holly was investigating the pond, looking for Tadpoles, but there was nothing to see.

She reckons that they were either right down the bottom of the pond, hiding in the weeds, or, they have all packed their bags and were heading back home to their original pond!

OTL says they are more than likely at the bottom of the pond, hiding and pretty soon we will see tiddly little frogs hopping about all over the place and if we are quick, we could catch a couple for Archie Babe to take home with him the next time he visits!

Now, that'll be fun!

Lunchtime we were out delivering and then stopped off at The Riverside Park.

Loads and Loads of Mini Two Legs, everywhere, making so much noise that we decided to go along the shore rather than on the path we normally take.

We quite enjoyed it 'cos we were finding some new sniffs we hadn't come across before!

 Once we had got to the end of 'Horrid Hill' we headed back on the old path that had almost become overgrown with thorn bushes.

There was nothing really new 'cos there were loads of Mini Two Legs playing there, messing up the sniffs!

 We went around the edge and came across some fishy sniffs that OTL said were Sea Gull droppings and sea gulls often enjoyed fish meals!

The best sniff was when we were getting close to the car park 'cos there, sitting on the edge of the grass, chomping away as bold as brass, sat a Bunny!

Unfortunately, OTL had put us on our lead and we couldn't rush over and 'Say Hello'!

 Back home there was some lambs heart cooking and both Holly and I just can't wait 'cos OTL has some tasty stuff lined up for his dinner and we didn't want the two to clash!

So, off we go and see you all tomorrow!

The Missus is off to her Master Class and OTL and us will be having fun!

Finally, at Last, And About Time, Old Two Legs has taken a breather from his 'Day Job' so he can take some picture of our Decoupage Present from Auntie Marianne, (Lucy's Mum!)

And Don't It Look Brilliant!

He used his 'Posh' camera with a 24mm Perspective Lens (Tilt/Shift) and some off camera flash lights like wot he normally uses for insects and butterfly photos. Oh yes, he also tried the Polariser Filter but that didn't make too much difference!

Enough of that rubbish, just take a look at work and skill that went into making it!

Five layers, cut out by hand, even along each hair on our heads and around OTL's baggy shorts!

If there was one thing that is ever so slightly wrong.................OTL's got too much hair!

 OTL says that he is dead impressed that Marianne even got the colour of his boot right!

We are going up on the wall today!

We were looking forward to a sun shining day today but the sea mist has crept in and it hasn't changed all day!

Mind you, this morning the ferrets were asking if you could get lost in the mist and I said that ferrets could get lost going for a wee!

Mr Brambles offered to bite my leg but Snowflake said 'No Dear, we'll just get a Worming Tablet and mix it with their food tonight!'

Don't worry Dear, I have an idea!

Lunchtime was a scream, you see, first of all we came across a Two Legs who was throwing his legs in the air!

I mean, we have seen some Bozo Woofers in our time but a Bozo TL upside down, I mean, potty or wot!

You see some strange sights!

And talking of Bozo's, we came across that Doodle Bozo who thinks OTL is wonderful and he doesn't like our ferrets 'cos Snowflake gave him a nip!

Ferrets at home? Good!

 Holly said she is going to practise standing on her front paws but I pointed out that she already does it when she has a Grumbly Tum and OTL does 'Kit Inspection' before she is allowed in the car or on the sofa!

I can stand on my front paws if I wanted to!

 So, tomorrow we are expecting some sunshine, claws crossed and OTL is off to hang up Marianne's
prezzie to us woofers!

Snowflake is down the vets again but gets her own back!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Wot a super sunny day it's been!

We were up early to watch the fountains in the pond sprinkle water all over the frog spawn, well, we thought the frog spawn was still there but all there is left is the jelly! So, we reckon they have hatched and are now down the bottom of the pond staying out of harms way!

Then after investigating the pond it was off down to the beach for a rampage with the ferrets!

There was a Hazy looking sun up in the sky and Old Two Legs was trying to 'Capture The Mood' but in the end he had to give up 'cos Brambles was busting for a wee!

Down on the beach Holly and I were chatting to Max, Oscar and Bryn while the ferrets were scampering about in the sea weed.

I'm sure that sniff was around here yesterday!

Mr Brambles first of all couldn't find his rock and then once he did find it, he lost Snowflake!

Come on, just wave yer' tail so I can find you!

We didn't tell him but she was half way up the beach and heading for the grass path!

OTL put him right and off he scampered, mumbling something about being left behind!

Yes Dear, I'm following you!

At one point he caught up with Holly and me and asked 'Got any good sniffs Sis?' to which Holly replied, 'I'm not your Sis!'

Yo! Sis! Got a sniff?

Getting close to the Car Park, Holly swears she spotted a rabbit and we both stood still waiting for some movement but in the end had to give up 'cos OTL was calling us!

It's bound to move in a moment or two!

Back home Snowflake was put back in the travelling cage and packed off to the vet for her last dose of the Anti Biotic medicine.

OTL held her while the vet prised open her mouth and squirted the stuff down her throat. Snowflake gave a big shudder and then waved her head from side to side and covered the vet with Anti Biotic!

That sorted her out!

OTL was laughing 'cos the last time Snowflake managed to catch him!

Back home the Ping Pong Balls arrived and Snowflake had a little game in them but the box wasn't big enough for her to burrow down into the balls, so she picked one up and jumped out of the box and hid the ball in her Poo Pot!

As OTL said, 'Well, that Sez it all!'

Lunchtime the ferrets were asleep after Snowflake had bored us to death with her tale of drenching the vet with Anti Biotic!

Mind you, she has to go back on Saturday for a check up, just to make sure she is fully mended!

Holly and I headed off to the Sea Wall again and watched the tide come rushing in to shore. There was a sort of muddy scum on the water, so I decided that I would stay out today!

Looks a bit muddy to me!

Mind you, that didn't stop us from playing 'Chase' along the Sea Wall and the grass path.

OTL got to the Hawthorn Tree and spotted another Peacock butterfly but this one looked like it had been in a fight, his wings were well beaten up.

I didn't know butterflies had mating battles but this one looked like he had been in the wars!

Ragged around the edges!

Now, we have heard that Young Archie Babe has been taking his job rather seriously!

We understand the need for extra cuddles and maybe a bit of food tasting, just to make sure it is tasty enough, but, drinking the Lucozade?

Don't the bubbles get up your nose?

We tried a drop of beer ages ago and sneezed for an hour afterwards!

No more beer!

Now what's this about crying when you got your booster?

We don't cry, we HOWL and WOOF and HOWL again, (I even bare my teeth as well!)

Make a super big song and dance, it makes them feel rotten, but OTL doesn't get a discount!

Another Day in Woofer Land!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

Yes, Miss Snowflake is much improved and has been dancing and Dooking around today. In fact, Old Two Legs decided that she could come out for a walk with us this morning. Much to Brambles disgust,  'cos that means he has to behave himself!

Both ferrets spent a long time in and under the sea weed, OTL had to call them back 'cos at one time they were heading out to sea!

Just look at what I've found!

 They were scrambling around having loads of fun.

It's Good to see her having fun!

 OTL had to pick up both ferrets when we met up with a couple of woofers who were off their leads!

Wanna sniff some Really Good Sniff?

They were soon off when we told them about the sniffs back down the path.

Back home, Snowflake got ready to go to the vet!

When she and OTL got there she was looked at and stroked and then OTL picked her up and gave her a cuddle as the vet advance with the Anti Biotic stuff in a syringe!

They managed to get it in her mouth and squirted down her throat, but Snowflake did a big shake of her head and it went Splosh, over everyone!

She did say that some went down her throat, but not much!

OTL made another appointment for tomorrow, just to finish off the bottle!

Lunchtime we were out down the beach again and it was great, the sun was shining, the water was warm and I was in up to my tummy!

Looking for a stick!

OTL found a stick and we had a good game of 'Throw The Stick' and I had a great time swimming in the sea.

Got It!

 Holly was showing off 'cos she doesn't do swimming or anything involved with getting wet!

This is, SO BORING!

 In the end I had to get out and have a run along the Sea Wall where we came across young Dave who was out for his midday trot!

 OTL was investigating the Hawthorn bush again but all the butterfly action was in the air and he didn't get any more pictures but he did spot a Buff Tail Bumble Bee!

So now we are looking forward to our Ox Heart dinner, then afterwards, we plan to give OTL a good mugging 'cos he has got sausages tonight and we like sausages!

Good Signs!

Hello Woofers!

Us here, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Well, thanks for all the kind wishes for Snowflake. We are pleased to report that she was alive all night and we know that 'cos Old Two Legs kept on getting up to check!

This morning she was awake and eating a little. OTL says her poo is almost back to normal, and that's a good sign!

Trying to get her to take her medicine in another thing!

She has to have her Anti Biotic stuff, by mouth, and as OTL says, 'You'd think I was trying to get her to drink molten lead'!

She wouldn't let him squirt it down her throat, the vet did that yesterday, mixing it with Ferretone made it look like OTL was trying to poison her!

OTL mixed it up in a load of Ferretone but we are sure she hasn't had her full dose for today, so, tomorrow he is going back to the vet for some help!

She was separated from Brambles yesterday and over night, in case of infection but this morning she was desperate to get out of the cage and at one time was trying to bite through the steel bars!

In the end OTL gave in and half way through the morning she went back with Mr Brambles. The pair cuddled up with each other and fell asleep!

Before all that OTL decided that Snowflake should stay in her cage and took Mr Brambles out for his morning walk!

Of course, not having Snowflake to tell him what to do and where to go, he was enjoying the freedom of  'Self Determination'! 

OK, you hang on, I'm off for a wee!

 And of course, it was up to him when he came back!

OK, I'm back, off we go!

On the grass path he dived off the side and was having a great time rolling in the grass and enjoying the warm sun shine on his back!

This the Life!

Up on the Top Path he found that Super Sniff he found yesterday and dived straight in for another roll!

The way he was rolling about you could see he enjoyed a roll as much as us woofers!

This just Greeeeeeat!

That was until OTL told him to get up and 'Come On'!

....but, I haven't Finished yet!

OTL heard a woofing behind us and saw it was that big Doodle Dog that Snowflake had nipped on the nose a few weeks ago!

I got a bit worried and got close to OTL but he was too worried about Brambles and was too busy picking him up rather than me!

Pretty quickly, the Two Legs came running up and put the Doodle Dog on his lead, that sorted him out!

That will teach you!

Back home we went to a Chicken breakfast which slipped down a treat!

Both ferrets were comfortable tucked up together and Snowflake was eating and pooing more like normal so OTL is not so worried as last night!

Lunchtime we were out again and down the beach we went.

First we came across a family who had put up a tent to keep the wind out, and also hide the food!

Holly was straight in and sniffing!

Come on, Show us yer Food!

I left Holly trying to do some mugging and I headed for the water!

Hey! Holly! Look! Fishes!

Not that she fell for that! In the end, without getting a nibble, we headed off down The Sea Wall.

Before long we were down on the beach again and there, on the beach, without our permission, sat a family of Two Legs, eating lunch!

That looked like a challenge!

We plotted and planned and just when we were ready to go, OTL decided to head off home!

OK, Pincer Movement followed by a chase into the sea?

OK, so we didn't do it really, instead we headed off to do some mugging at home!

As we got closer to the car park, the Hawthorn tree was in full blossom and there, diving into the flowers was a fresh looking butterfly enjoying the sun and the nectar!

First Peacock of the year!

Back home, the poo tray was looking good and both ferrets were fast asleep enjoying being together again!

So, tomorrow, the vet again and who knows what else?

Miss Snowflake has us worried.

Hi Woofers!

Us back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

The weather has brightened up and there is sun shine all over the place!

Miss Snowflake is worrying us though.

Last night when Old Two Legs stopped by to say good night, Snowflake was acting like she got something stuck in her throat and was trying to get it back up again, then she stopped, had a cuddle with OTL and a slurp of Ferretone and seemed to be a Happy Ferret!

This morning when OTL took up their Lactose Free milk, Mr Brambles, as normal, was trying to beat the door down while Snowflake was still in bed and not moving, at all!

When OTL got her out of bed, she ignored the milk and headed straight for her 'Adventure Playground'. Got into her favourite corner and curled up as if she was going to sleep!

Most unusual!

While Snowflake was curled up, OTL inspected the ferret poo trays and while Brambles was normal, Miss Snowflake had some poo that was just not right, sort of dark pink and not much of it!

OTL started to wonder if she was OK.

We left her in the cage and took Mr Brambles out for our normal walk along The Sea Wall.

First of all he decided to get out for a wee, then he got back in the bag, then he got out for a wander around while Holly and I had a wee!

Hey! Woofers Wee!

Down on the beach we were all snuffling about when we were joined by Bryn, who insisted on giving Brambles a sniff, just to say hello!

Little did he realise, Brambles was in Mid Poo!

Do You Mind! I'm having a Poo!

Back up on the Grass Path, we were all enjoying a sniff and a Ferret Around in the long grass, Brambles was having a great time, ferreting about in the grass and then rolling about in Ferret Sniffs!

This grass is so full of Ferret Sniffs!

 Along the Top Path, Brambles found what he called a 'Super Ferret Sniff'.

In fact, it was so good that he spent ages just rolling about in the sniff!

This is Goooooooooooooooood!

Holly was a bit put out 'cos OTL didn't tell him to 'Stop It' as he does if Holly or I find a sniff worthy of a roll!

Back home The Missus told us that Snowflake had been trying to be sick again but nothing came out.

OTL started to get his 'Worried Look'.

He started off by inspecting Snowflake for anything unusual but could find nothing. Then he had a look on the Ferret Forums to see if anything looked similar.

One thing turned up and that was a 'Hair Ball'. Ferrets can't cough up a Hair Ball like a cat can, instead they have to pass it through their system.

All opinions agree that the first thing to do is get the ferret to a vet.

On a Sunday, on an Easter Sunday?

Luckily, our normal vet is part of a big practise and one of the branches was open!

So, that was it, an appointment in one hour and take your credit card with you!

Off went OTL and Snowflake to the vet who admitted that she wasn't very up on ferrets!

She started off by agreeing that there were no lumps in or around Snowflakes tummy. Then she took her temperature by sticking a thermometer where the sun don't shine!

Thank Gawd for Ferretone! Snowflake didn't bat an eye lid, instead she carried on slurping the Ferretone!

Then her heart was checked and pronounced to be OK, her temperature was OK.

The vet said she couldn't rule out a Hair Ball but she couldn't rule it in either. However, she thinks it may be a bug in the intestines.

So, a slurp of Anti Biotic was administered with instructions for giving some more each day. Next she got a Laxative to take if there was no poo in the tray tomorrow.

Back home OTL made up some 'Duck Soup' which is some chicken, kibble, and egg and a healthy dollop of Ferretone, all mixed up in the food blender until it is a paste.

OTL tried to get Snowflake to have a lick but she really didn't fancy it!

She is now separated from Brambles, just in case it is infectious, and doing what ferrets do best, sleeping!

OTL has left the 'Soup' in a small bowl in the cage together with some kibble.

So now we will wait and see what happens. She hasn't tried to be sick again for some time so we are all keeping our claws crossed that the Anti Biotic is taking effect and she starts eating again!
