Not our Best Day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here again!

Well, we could have done better today!

Early this morning The Missus took us over The Fields, not the best place for a walk but when needs must!

Then as soon as we got back home, there was Old Two Legs, with his coat on, all ready to go out!

Wow! We thought, a real walk coming up!


Then Holly said that we were going to the Poodle Parlour!

Mind you, we did have a Flying Jackets on so we weren't too cold, until we got there.

That was when OTL took our coats off us and said 'Bye Bye' while we were lead off to wait in a cage until it was our turn for a 'Short Back and Sides'!

I won't bore you with the details but let's face it, we are so pleased when OTL comes to get us out!

We were straight down The Beach and heading for our Poo Place!

 I couldn't keep up with Holly, 'cos I could only take little steps, just in case!

Outta My Way I Got a Neeeed!

 Luckily, we have a Poo Place just at the end of the path and pretty soon OTL was getting the Poo Bags out!

Come on Hurry Up I'm Next!

 The wind was blowing which made it all a bit chilly but we got around our walk and didn't see any other woofers at all!

Mind you, it was about three thirty and the Mini Two Legs were still in school!

As we were heading back along the grass path, Holly spotted a Monster in the water.

A couple of hundred yards out to see we could see something bobbing up and down and heading out to sea. I said it was a big lump of wood but Holly reckons it was a Nessy from Up North looking for runaway Heeland Coo's.

 We got back home and I was straight into the kitchen to finish off my chicken breakfast I had left this morning.

Holly wasn't interested in trying to rob me but she did climb up onto OTL's chair and got under the 'Throw' where she said she is staying until it gets warmer!

My Butt is Too Cold, so I'm Staying Here!

 I'm not sure what is for dinner tonight but I do know OTL is out working tomorrow so it's back to The Field for us!

It's a hard life being a woofer in this house!

Back on The Beach again!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and of course Freddy de Ferret here again!

This morning there was another six inches of frost on the cars, so we were glad that The Missus took us over the fields again! The thought of sitting in a cold car is not the best way to start the day!

Old Two Legs has almost got to the bottom of the pile of paper and he was able to spend more time chasing the ferrets around after he cleaned their cages out!

Little Miss Wendy thinks it great fun to be chased by OTL 'cos he keeps tickling her tail and when he does that she rolls onto her back, chuckling, then waits for OTL's hand to push her around on her back!

Freddy loves that as well but he just rolls onto his back and waits!

It's great when he does it in the bathroom 'cos the floor is all slippery and he spins around in circles every time he turns his head to the left or right!

OTL says that Freddy is doing 'Wheelies'!

Lunchtime we were down the beach again after so long!

May came with us and we all had a great time catching up on the sniffs both old and new!

'ere, this is a new one!

Miss May was almost beside herself with delight 'cos she hasn't been out for almost two weeks!

She was running from sniff to sniff and doing her little chuckle, you could tell she was having a great time!

Hey! This is a 'Serious Sniff'!

Then she found a sniff that got her going with the 'Ferret Roll' until OTL spotted her and told her to stop!

Oooooooh! I'm going to sniff good after this!

Then we were down the beach, Holly was charging about like a 'Potty Puppy' and as the tide was in I asked if I could go in for a paddle?

OTL said I could providing I didn't mind having a bath when we got home 'cos the water was all muddy! Drat and ............................

..........................Double Drat!

Mind you, that May still had a go and pretended she was paddling but we could all see the waves were miles away from her paws!

Look! I'm almost Surfing!

 OTL got a letter today giving him a date for his eye operation, he wasn't too happy about it 'cos the following weekend he and Alun were going to a meeting that Alun is a member of the club and OTL has been looking forward to for ages!

Well, after the operation he won't be able to drive for two or three weeks and even then it's a bit dodgy 'cos his glasses will be no use until he gets a new pair and he can't do that for at least six weeks!

I can see some problems when he tries to do work on the computer 'cos nothing comes into focus until it is at 'Arms Length'!

Still, it will be worth it in the end, we hope!

I think I can sniff food being cooked, so we are off to investigate!

It's So Hard being a Guard Dog!

Hello Woofers!

It's us! Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and of course Freddy 'Mr Cuddles' de Ferret!

You know, sometimes I wonder if going away for a break is all that it is cracked up to be! I mean, Old Two Legs goes away for a week and a bit and comes back to a pile of paperwork that takes two weeks to get rid off!

Holly reckons if he took all the paper and threw it in the waste bin he could get rid of it all in seconds!

He has been up at that computer all morning, mumbling away to himself and doing that 'Grumbly' sound he makes when he is doing things with the VAT return!

He had an appointment with one of his customers this morning so The Missus took us out but when we got back we found he was just taking his coat off! It seems the appointment had been put back until lunchtime!

Well, off he went while we stayed in the office guarding all the VAT forms and the ferrets hidden stash of Doggy Biscuits!

Those Doggy Biscuits drive Holly and me wild 'cos we can sniff them but can't get to them 'cos there is just too many bits of wire and stuff in the way!

After a while Holly gets into her 'Guarding' position and  before long was snoring her tail off!

Be Alert! OTL needs Lerts!

Me, on the other paw was just looking like I was sleeping but really I was keeping an eye on everything that was happening!

Got my eye on you!

 Once the morning games are over the ferrets get down to some serious snoozing and you can see by Wendy's position that there is not always enough room in the sleeping bag for both her and Freddy!

One day I'll get the pillow first!

Back comes OTL and we all settle down again, Holly doing the 'Guarding', me, hunting out the scoff the ferrets have stored behind the paper shredder machine and TM doing more craft work 'cos she feels 'Inspired'!

OTL is to get those Chorizo Sausages tonight, so Holly and I will be either side of him, helping to decide which bit tastes the best and getting samples to try!

Well, that's the main idea!

OTL tells us we have an appointment with the Poodle Parlour on Friday, we just hope that the weather is a bit warmer than it was this morning.

Six inches of frost!

OK, dinner is about to be prepared so we are off!

Back to Normal'ish!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Old Cuddle Chops, Freddy de Ferret here!

Well, it's sort of Back to Normal here except that The Missus is still taking us out for our walks. Old Two Legs has come home to a pile of 'Paperwork' and a long list of telephone calls he has to answer!

Yep, you guessed it, no photos today!

Mind you, we got cuddles with OTL last night and we were both still snuggled up with him first thing this morning!

All the ferrets got a cuddle with him and Miss Wendy made a right pig of herself, she kept licking his hand on each stroke and as OTL liked that, he kept going and so did she!

Miss April is showing signs of needing a good run along the Sea Wall. After teaching Miss April how to climb the cage, she is now climbing her own cage but inside! She hasn't got to hang upside down yet but it doesn't look too far away from happening!

Freddy was doing his 'Big Soppy Ferret' bit and wriggled around in OTL's arm as he got a scratch around the back of his neck, Freddy, not OTL!

OTL says that Freddy looks so sweet when he rolls onto his back in OTL's arm and grabs OTL's tiggly finger and holds it in his front paws!

May and April are a bundle of fun in the mornings, if you don't let them out quickly enough then the Poo Pot goes flying, together with last nights contents!

TM is not too happy about that!

Holly and I went with TM at lunch time down to get three and a half ton of meat for OTL's Curry Pot! While we were there she managed to get some special sausages for him as well. You see, they went out to an Argentine Restaurant and OTL had these as a 'Starter' and reckons they were dead tasty, OTL says they are called Chorizo Sausages! He says he is looking forward to when TM serves them up...........so are we!


We got chicken today, which was better than the Doggy Scoff we had yesterday. I don't know why we get served that stuff, I mean, we don't eat it all and it gets thrown away, such a terrible waste! For the price of a tin of Scoff, we could have two chickens!

Tonight OTL has got Curry, so all we will get is a nibble of Nan Bread, which isn't the most tasty thing on the table!

Tomorrow OTL is out early so it looks like we are to get a walk around the Farm Fields instead of our Sea Wall Walk. Still, he may be back by lunch time and take us down the beach!

He's Back and we're in trouble!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!


Well, he didn't get home until one thirty this morning!


We gave him a big wet slobbery welcome lick then cuddled up and went to sleep!


He has been sleeping for most of the day 'cos he got held up by a motorway accident that kept him stationary for over four hours!


Old Two Legs wasn't happy about that but pleased he wasn't involved!


Now, we are in trouble 'cos we didn't get to the laptop to say...........................................

The Missus has been taking us out today, so as normal, no photos!

OTL says that after he has had a good nights sleep, he'll get the camera out again, just for us!

All the ferrets were tickled pink to see OTL again and little April has been taking her meds and now is climbing up the side of Fred and Wendy's cage, trouble is, she then gets stuck and can't climb down again!

So, that is a 'Rescue Job' for TM or \OTL!

Fred and Wendy are spending more time cuddled up together but we have noticed that she still likes to give his ear a nibble!

We are off to give OTL another cuddle now.

He's Homeward Bound!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy (Mr Fabulous) de Ferret!

We're all back again!

The Missus is getting very good with the Ferret Family, she has chased May around the Living Room, separated April and Freddy when they were squaring up for a fight. Then she rescued Wendy from getting too violent with Freddy when all he wanted to do was make baby ferrets!

Of course, Holly and I are the best behaved Woofers in the house!

Today we have been up in the village hall with the Glue Slappers. Holly went around trying to mug anyone who even looked like they had brought sandwiches!

I decided to hang back and wait to be invited!

We read that Old Two Legs managed to catch the ship and landed in Scrabster in a blinding snow storm, so no chance of any photos!

OTL reckons it was either raining or snowing all the way to Perth!

So, not to disappoint you we have selected a couple of 'Street Pictures' from yesterday!

Needed, two old ladies brushing the steps!

Two Mini TL's and a flea ridden woofer needed for this one!

OTL reckons what he needed was a scrawny looking dog, having a good scratch and behind him a couple of mini two legs in short trousers and jumpers with holes in the elbows!

Trouble was, the mini TL's were all sitting at home, out of the rain, watching satellite TV!

We will be waiting up at the bedroom window tomorrow, waiting for OTL to arrive!

Missing OTL!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and The Wunderful Freddy de Ferret!

Today has been one of those 'Oh No!' days, you know, wake up and 'Oh No!' Holly has eaten my carrot! Then you roll over on the bed and 'Oh No!' The Missus is still in bed and there is no room to stretch out!

Then you go out the front door for a walk and 'Oh No!' It's Raining!

Back home you head for the kitchen for some food and 'Oh No!' it's Doggy Scoff!

Back up to bed only to find 'Oh No!' Holly has pinched your favourite bit on Old Two Legs side of the bed!

Mind you, the ferrets were all in a good mood, Freddy and Wendy have been chasing each other around all over the house and Freddy has been rolling around on the floor with Wendy jumping on him!

May and April have been play fighting as well, April has been back to her old self although her intake of food isn't as high as OTL would like but you just can't force her to eat!

Still, OTL will be home on Sunday, so he can have a word with her and see what can be done!

Holly and I will be glad to see him back and then we can get cuddle at night when we go to bed.

OTL and Alun have been exploring the town of Stromness today and the streets look so very narrow, a real old maritime town!

 OTL made this one look like an old photo but he had to rub out the telephone line!

 Then Alun found the Khyber Pass and insisted he takes a picture. Mind you, they both kept their eyes open for the Berbers!

 Down the very end of the street was an old well that has been in use for hundreds of years and the notice tells of some famous ships that loaded up their water barrels from it!

Just water, no beer or grog!

In the afternoon OTL went off investigating Iron Age Buildings and boring stuff like that! Mind you, he did see four Grey Seals playing about in the water just in front of the car!

OTL has now packed up all his dirty washing and will be heading home tomorrow, well, the first part of the journey. They will overnight in Perth then back home on Sunday.

The Missus says that she is looking forward to OTL coming back 'cos she is fed up with Poo Pots and she has heard that OTL will be bringing a Woolly Jumper that was made with the fleece from Doris The Sheep!

OTL says you can still sniff the sheep in the wool!

OTL's Dream Came True!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and the cuddly Freddy de Ferret!

It's been good today, sunshine and good food! We got chicken this morning, all tasty and not 'Caramelized'!

There has been loads of young Two Legs running around, so it must be half term! I don't mind them so much but why must they make so much noise? I mean, they make more noise than Holly on a bad day!

We had a word with Old Two Legs who is still on Orkney. He told us about him seeing the Aurora last night and getting frozen by standing in the garden for hours taking photos!

 OTL says that he has waited all his life to see the lights!

Getting excited now!

 The only thing missing was the 'Curtains of Light'

There is a little curtain on the left hand side.

 So, we have a 'Happy Puppy' who now has seen the lights. What we want to know is 'How long before he comes home?' All us woofers are missing our cuddles, especially the ferrets. I mean, The Missus is OK but OTL just has the knack!

Today he went off again and stopped at places along the coast to photograph the waves, and do they look big!

 He also said he saw 'The Old Man of Hoy', who ever he is!

In the photo he can be seen poking his head around the cliff to see OTL!

 OTL then says he went up to see Lord Kitchener's Monument, but there was no one there, except a couple of rabbits that OTL says were almost as big as Holly and I!

OTL says that they had to walk about two miles to get there and when they did get there, it was empty, no one was at home!

It's a good job OTL has sent some down to us or it will be just writing and that does get a bit boring sometimes!

Is it an Orcadian Druid?

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and The Star, Freddy de Ferret!

It has been cold down here, a bit of sun shine but later came the clouds and at the moment we are all agreed that 'in doors' is the place to be!

Little April had a coughing fit this morning but The Missus sorted her out with a cuddle and a slurp, just like Old Two Legs does when he is here!

The only problem was, she had the coughs when Freddy was out of the cage and of course Miss April wanted to go and sort him out!

TM had a panic moment as she tried to scoop April back up before World War III started!

All was well in the end and every one is in their own beds snoozing their tails off!

We heard from OTL that he has been our among the stones again!

First of all there were the Standing Stones of Stenness, all very mysterious and dark!

 In the middle there was this strange looking stone, OTL thinks it could be either and alter stone or the dinner table!

Grub Up?

 Alone the road a bit was a bigger stone circle called The Ring of Brodgar which also looked very dark and mysterious!

 OTL took a number of pictures and then, just out of curiosity, he went to the very centre of the ring and found this!

Strange?

What was even stranger, there appeared a strange looking Geezer that OTL says was the 'Barmy Druid of Brodgar but we reckon it was Uncle Alun!

Another place they stopped at was the Italian Chapel, built by Italian prisoner of war in WW II.

OTL reckons it was an amazing sight especially as it was made from scrap bits of wood and stuff 'Found' by the prisoners!

On the way back to the B&B he managed to stop off at the Distillery in Kirkwall, just to look at the buildings, or so he says!

No, we don't believe him either!

Windy Weather and OTL goes under ground!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and The Famous Freddy de Ferret here again!

Down here in Sunny North Kent it has been cold, I mean Freeze your Tail Off cold!

We didn't stay out too long this morning 'cos we were looking forward to our Lambs Heart which was a better option than sniffing!

Mind you, there were some interesting sniffs and we did have time to show off our flying Jackets!

It has a trace of Horse but with a Woofer Twang!

We didn't hang about 'cos The Missus wanted to do her 'Walking Fast' exercise up and down the path!

Come on, get a move on she is nearly caught us up!

OTL on the other paw has been out in the howling wind and rain, He has visited a Burial Mound and gone inside to see Runes, who ever he is!

Then he went to a sunken village that was around two thousand year BC!

When we find out what BC is we expect to be even more impressed!

The famous bit he says is the Tall Boy, a sort of ancient bit of furniture

No Veneer in here!

Then he visited another old building that the Estate Agent said was 'In need of some attention'!

An investment opportunity?

 Then he went to see the sea and I don't mind telling you, he can keep it! We don't want waves that big down here!

So that is it for today, the ferrets are looking forward to OTL coming back 'cos they are missing their walk and TM says that there is no way she is taking them out 'cos they would only get into trouble fighting the Weasels!
