Meeting of Woofers!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

Well, today has been just great!

I mean the sunshine has been around all day today. It was brilliant this morning, in fact it was so good that all us woofers held a meeting on the Sea Wall and there was woofing, and tail wagging and butt sniffing!

Yo! Polly Chops!

The Two Legs were there as well but we didn't see them do any butt sniffing!

OK, Who has the Gin Bottle?

Little Miss April was getting worried 'cos she said that she didn't fancy having her butt sniffed by any of the woofers!

Well, they 'aint sniffing mine!

Soon we were all off and April was first into the plants by the side of the path and she wouldn't come out until all of  the woofers had gone!

Is it safe?

Back home Old Two Legs was working on the computer and he kept checking on a big map full of lines and squiggles that he said were 'Contour Lines', but they still looked like squiggles to us!

Lunchtime Fred and Wendy came out with us and both had a good walk down to the beach!

.......................are we there yet?

 Wendy had a great time playing 'Bulldozers' and even Freddy joined in at one time! He normally spends all the time digging holes!

 Holly, not wanting to be left out of the fun, joined in and did her impression of a ferret playing 'Bulldozers'!

This is how a ferret does it!

 When we got back to the car, the ferrets were first in the water bowl, Freddy didn't even have time to stand up straight! He just sort of rolled over onto his back and threw himself into the bowl and made a terrible noise slurping at the water!

Ooooooh! I need this!

Of course, after they had finished, Holly and I got stuck in and almost finished off water!

Back home OTL finished the work and put loads of paper in a big folder and went off to deliver it to his customer.

Then, just as he was heading home, he decided to drop into the Doggy Shop, without us!

Mind you, when we saw what he had brought home we forgave him! There were teeth cleaning chews and Chicken Fillets and chicken strips and Jumbones!

So, you know what we will be after mugging tonight!

It's a 'Sore Paw Day'

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret, back to see you again!

This morning Aprils paw was inspected by Old Two Legs and while he can judge the size of the pad, he can't see what the cause is. All we know is that the pad is swollen and is the same size as last night. So, no improvement there!

While we were out on the beach, OTL made a call to the vet for an appointment for April and managed to get one for 10;30hr today. That means we couldn't stay as long on the beach as normal. We did however, meet the lads, Poppy, Beau, Bryn, Max and Oscar!

So many woofers on the beach and they all wanted to say 'Hello' to the ferrets!

All the ferrets wanted was a wee!

It wasn't long before we had the beach to ourselves and we all enjoyed a game of 'Bulldozers' in the sand and even Holly got into the game as well!

Back home we had time to let OTL clean the cages out and for the ferrets to have a 'Rampage' around the house!

Little April fell asleep under the furniture and OTL had to move it away from the wall before he could extract April from underneath!

Pretty soon it was time for April to visit the vet and May decided she would come along as well to keep April company and hold her paw if she got worried!

The vet had a look, poked around and decided that it was an infection that was causing the problem, so she decided that what was needed was a gallon or two of Anti-Biotic  stuff to add to the other medication she is taking!

OTL was heart broken as he handed his wallet over to the lady who works the till!

He was sobbing all the way home and both May and April had to give him a lick and a cuddle, just to help him get over the shock of it all!

What was worse, OTL has managed to break the memory card in the camera, so bang goes the photos for today!

Just as he was getting over it all, one of his customers rang up with an URGENT PROBLEM!

So, that was it, off went OTL and we got walked at lunchtime by The Missus!

We are still waiting for him to come home, you see, he has steak and chips tonight and our poor stomach walls are banging together and the noise is terrible!

We need OTL home, NOW!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

 Izzy is now Three Years Old and don't she look just Great!

But why has she got six candles on the cake?

Which wasn't the tale when we went out first thing this morning, the sun had gone and the clouds have come back!

Too many Clouds!

 We got onto the beach and May found a sandcastle that someone had left behind! Of course, April and I just had to have a sniff while May was digging into it!

I'm Queen of The Castle!

We all had a great time diving into it and digging holes into the top!

I said that the tide was going out so May rushed down to the waters edge just to wet her paws. What she didn't know was I'm telling porkies and the waves were coming in!

Yikes! It's wet!

 A bit further up the beach a couple of fishermen were getting ready to throw their worms back into the water for swimming lessons!

Now, wiggle your butt when your in the water!

 Back home April said that she had a sore paw and showed Old Two Legs. We couldn't see and thorns or cuts and it didn't look like it was infected. OTL thinks that April might have twisted or pulled her claw when she was trying to fight Wendy or Freddy through the cage!

Just to be on the safe side, if it hasn't gone down by tomorrow, then she will be off to the vets for them to have a look at it. OTL can't see close up and his new glasses won't be ready for a week or two, so he needs a 'Professional' to look at the paw!

Lunchtime Fred and Wendy had fun on the beach. They were playing 'Bulldozers' in the sand!

We met up with three families of Two Legs with Mini Two Legs, they all wanted to give Freddy a stroke and of course, he just loves the attention!

Back home Holly and I got presented with a bowl of Doggy Scoff each, I mean, Doggy Scoff!

Yuk, YUk, YUK, YUK!

It's a good job OTL is going to get Venison Burgers tonight, we will be doing some serious mugging!

I bet Izzy didn't get Doggy Scoff!

It's May Day for May!

Hi Woofers!

We are here again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

Now Miss May got her name 'cos she and her sister arrived at the Ferret Rescue in May/April, so, they got the name of May and April!

Today, being the first day of May we all woke up to sing a 'Happy Day' song to them both. We will also do it again on the first of April as well!

It was a super morning, all sunshine and no wind. So, we were off down the beach for a run around. When we got to the beach there were a couple of woofers already there digging in the sand!

Nah! They are too scared to come over here!

May thought that April was getting worried and rushed over to give her a sisterly cuddle!

It's OK Sis, we'll look after you!

Now today there was a High Pressure system overhead and the wind had dropped away, so, it was just wonderful!

In fact it was so good that I decided to have a little paddle.

This is how to start May!

 In fact, it was so good that Miss May even came down to the waters edge to get her paws wet! Mind you, she didn't go in for a paddle but you never know, she may have a swim before the summer is out. Remember when Snowflake and Mr Brambles had a swim in that stream when we were in South West Wales?

Come on, it's great in here!

Maybe later in the summer she will get her tail wet!

Back home Old Two Legs cleaned the cages out and then headed to the garden 'cos being the May Bank Holiday Weekend, it's time to give the garden a clean up and de-weed the path!

So, OTL missed the F1 Racing from Russia and had to watch the recording!

Tomorrow OTL may be out in the garden again digging more weeds out of the path in the back and of course, he has the pond to clean up as well, loads of paper that has been blown in over the winter time.

He is going to be a busy lad this weekend and of course there is the hay fever as well and that means he will be making lots of noise as well!

It's The Ferret Man!

Hello Woofers!


Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here again!

What a change in the weather, no chilly winds, no snow or hailstones, just super sun shine!

Holly and I had a super game of 'Dig and Whizz' while May and April were ferreting about in the shells at the high tide mark!

You are just too slow Porkie!

 May was most upset to find out that some one had done a wee in the middle of the Sea Kale!

OK, who has wee'd in my plant?

April was in a good mood and she even climbed all the way up the grass path ferreting about in the long grass looking for mouses and shrews!

You look that side and I'll check this side!

One of the things that happens with April is that she gets tired quickly and needs to be carried in the ferret bag. Old Two Legs is always keeping an eye on her and May gives April a sisterly cuddle if she  slows down for a breather!

Come on Sis, we are all with you!

Back home we had chicken for breakfast while OTL was taking the caravan off to get it serviced in time for our holiday.

We reckon it will be back before the end of the week!

After getting back he woke up Freddy and Wendy and got them dressed up in their harnesses.

Down on the beach Wendy rushed off to the Sea Kale to find there was a sniff of Miss May on the leaves. Holly told her that May was not impressed that some one had wee'd in the Sea Kale!

Wendy decided that she would have a wee but this time on the sea shells, not the Sea Kale!

OK, I'll do a wee here then!

Holly and I played another game of 'Dig and Whizz' 'cos the tide still had not come in and the sand was dry and warm and easy to dig!

After we left the beach we headed up the grass path and as we got to the top of the path some Two Legs came along with a very unfriendly Alsatian type German Shepard Woofer who definitely did not like other woofers, including us!

Lucky for us he was on a lead and also had a muzzle on as well!

We were just wondering what to do, stand or run when the mother TL screeched out 'Ooo! Look! It's The Ferret Man!'

Then she handed the lead and the woofer over to her son while she and her two daughter came rushing over to make a big fuss of Freddy and Wendy!

Both ferrets got picked up and stroked and then kissed and generally slobbered over!

Mind you, Freddy loves all this attention and even Wendy didn't complain!

We don't know how she got told about us but we understand that she has a ferret as well!

As they left us OTL said that we were famous!

Well, him and the ferrets but as Holly says, 'They don't have a blog!'

We are off to watch the F1 qualifying that has been recorded so we are going to do some mugging!

A Day of Nothing much!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and the lovely Freddy de Ferret here again!

It's been a funny day today, you know, sort of fun but we didn't seem to do much!

It all started this morning when we sneaked into Old Two Legs office and managed to grab a few winks of sleep before the ferrets came charging out of their cages and Holly and I retired to the safety of the bed, OTL's bed that is!

I love a snooze!

Holly was on her cushion as well but she was keeping an eye on Miss Wendy 'cos Wendy likes to creep up to the cage and blow a big raspberry in Hollies ear! 

I'm watching you Rat Chops!

We were soon off for a walk and today it was a bit chilly on the beach. We didn't hang about too long but we did see a couple of Bull dogs out for a walk.

One was very interested in May and April and wanted to know what they were and were they tasty?

The biggest laugh was when April asked what the woofers name was.

I'm called ...........Daisy!

I wasn't impressed and nor was I showing that Holly's laughter was bothering me at all!

That Holly dog is going to get a smack in the chops if she keeps on!

Back home there was some chicken type of Doggy Scoff which wasn't too bad. Well, Holly and I finished most of it and only left a little at the bottom of the bowl so we can have a nibble later!

Fred and Wendy were out with us and even they said it was chilly! Freddy is getting rather good at finding sniffs and today he had a sniff at an 'Underground Sniff' and called out, 'Here, Holly, have you done a poo here? It's terrible!'

I just couldn't help but have a little snicker!

Gawd! This is a terrible strong sniff that has Holly written all over it!

Miss April went off to hide in the Sea Kale and have a wee before Freddy got there!

Can't see me can you?

Now, tomorrow morning we are going to take the caravan to be serviced so that it will be all safe and secure for when we go away on holiday.

Holly and I will be riding 'Shotgun' and woofing at the other cars on the road!

So, you see that there hasn't been anything really exciting but at the same time we have enjoyed it!

Ferret Fun!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

Well, today has been a day for the ferrets. You see it started this morning before our walk. Little April managed to escape from the office with a piece of chicken in her mouth. Now normally she hides it in the bottom drawer of Old Two Legs filing cabinet but today she just flew into The Missus's store room and disappeared into the boxes on the shelves!

After a while she came back with a silly grin on her face and OTL said he was going to do some 'checking' when we got back!

Down on the beach we were having fun trying to stand still so OTL could get the camera focused, without the use of his glasses, that he doesn't have at the moment!

Hurry up and take the woofing picture, I can't stay still much longer!

Holly did the best one, she sat down on her butt, sighed and asked us to tell her when it's over!

Tell me when it's over!

 Little May had a hard job standing still but managed to stay still just long enough for the camera to go 'Click'!

Quick, quick, I can't stay like this a moment longer, I'm a Ferret you know!

April dived into the Sea Kale looking for the shrew that May had hid there the other day but some one had gone in and pinched it!

Oi! It's gone!

Holly reckons that it wasn't Archie Babe who had it 'cos he has to wear a 'Muzzle' when he goes out, just to stop him eating any tasty stuff he may find. Well, I think that when he goes out with it on he will look dead hard!

No woofer with a muzzle on gets called anything but Sir!

Back home, OTL cleaned the ferret cages out and then started to look in the 'Hidden Places' the ferrets hide their stolen nibbles.

Behind the cupboard in the lounge OTL emptied about a pound of Doggy Biscuits into the dustbin!

Wendy and Miss April were upset about that 'cos they had been stashing stuff there for ages!

Next OTL had a look in TM's card store room and found that a box of Christmas Crackers had been emptied onto the floor and another load of Doggy Biscuits stashed into the box!

TM said that OTL had to look on the Internetty Thing to see if he could find Muzzles for Ferrets!

Can you imagine it? Archie Babe, down here for a visit, walking along the Sea Wall with a ferret either side of him and all of them wearing muzzles?

Talk about 'The Hard Bunch'!

 Lunchtime Freddy had some fun with OTL, he said that he had found a 'Super Sniff' to roll in and OTL didn't see him until the last moment!

Oooooooo! This is Great!

We saw some Swallows fly over about three weeks ago and today there were a load more heading up north. But on top of that, we heard a cuckoo calling this morning!

A sure sign that Spring is here!

OTL plays The Teacher!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

It's super brilliant wonderful news that Archie Babe has managed to get released from the vet! Now all he has to do is behave himself and get back to eating again!

Holly had the 'Grumbly Tum' yesterday and she was off her food for a little while! You can't keep a good woofer down and she was back stuffing her face before we went to bed!

Now, you know Old Two Legs has had his eyeballs sorted and now he has been to the optician to get new lenses in his glasses. This means he has to hand over his frames to the optician to get the new lenses fitted.

No problem with that except that now he can't see to read or work on the computer! Everything is out of focus close up!

So, here is the excuse bit, he can't tell if the pictures are in focus or not!

That's his excuse and he is sticking to it!

Here is the first picture, taken of Miss April taking her medication first thing this morning.

Now is this in focus or not?

OTL says it was April who moved!

 Down on the beach we were sniffing for Nargle and even OTL couldn't mess up this one

In focus? Depends on where you look!

Heading along the grass path we walked very slowly so that he could get us in focus. It would have been better if he let us get closer 'cos at this distance we look more like a pair of ferrets!

Slowly, he is still twiddling with the lens!

Down on the beach he gave up, unless the ferrets were not moving. This was Miss May having a good roll in a sniff.

We all called out for her to 'Smile' and just once, it all seemed in focus!

Smile!

 You know, it got so bad that Holly and I were waiting on the hill for ages waiting for the inevitable 'Click' as the shutter goes!

If he takes any longer, I'm going home!

 Lunchtime we were watching out for the rain that was all around us but OTL had looked at the radar and said he saw a 'Window of Opportunity' and off we went!

Is this the window?

While we were on the beach we spotted a load of Mini Two Legs being marched down to the beach.

Holly and I got off the beach and headed up the grass path out of their way 'cos we didn't want to be chased!

Fred and Wendy huddled together and asked if they eat any of them!

If they poke their fingers at us then we can bite them off!

OTL told them they had to be gentle with the Mini TL mob 'cos they had teachers with them!

While Fred and Wendy were having a sniff on the grass path, one of the teachers came up to OTL and asked if the Mini TL mob could see the ferrets?

OK, says OTL and picked up Fred and Wendy and went down to sit on the wall while the TL's gathered around.

It seems there were a number of TL's had seen ferrets before  but there were enough who hadn't and they listened to OTL tell them all about ferrets and how wonderful they were!

Wot a show off OTL was, you know Holly and I didn't even get a mention, it was all ferrets!

Holly and I sat behind OTL and after he had finished the Mini TL's all said 'Thank You' to OTL and they headed back to school while we headed off to the vets for some more medicine for April!

So, that was it really, back home Holly and I shared a Rawhide Chew, well, OTL cut it in half so Holly and I wouldn't argue!

As if!

We are off now to see what is for dinner, OTL's not us!

She is Back!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

Wot a day it's been!

First of all, the alarm went off at 04:00hr, well actually there were three alarms that went off. There was the mobile phone alarm but just in case Old Two Legs didn't set it properly, the bedside radio alarm went off and just in case they were blocked out by a Solar Storm, the buzzer on the alarm went off as well!

It made Holly and I jump and OTL fell out of bed as well!

Well, it got him up!

So, while OTL was having a shower, Holly and went back to our snoozing!

OTL had his breakfast with May and April, as normal but to day they went back in the cage instead of coming for a walk with us. OTL reckoned he would have to leave the house by six to be in plenty of time to pick up Zoe and Paul from Heathrow.

So, five past six we set off, heading to Terminal Five via the motorway system, M20, M26 and M25!

Now OTL reckons that at that time we would hit the rush hour so a journey time of three hours should be long enough enough to get through the rush hour traffic and arrive in plenty of time.

OTL is a bit funny like that, he says he would rather arrive thirty minutes early than thirty seconds late!

Well as it turned out, we arrived twenty two minutes early, so we sat in the car park watching all the passengers meeting up with their cars!

We waited in the car and soon we were all ready to take them home. They had a bumpy flight for a while but settled down to breakfast before landing!

We got to their house and we could sniff The Missus through the door! That was it, the door opened and we went a little potty!

So did TM!

Then it was unload the car and load it back up again!

We reckon that TM had more luggage for herself that Zoe and Paul had for a week in New York!

Of we headed for home and arrived just in time to take Fred and Wendy out for a run on the beach. The sun was shining but we saw some rain clouds over Southend on Sea, so we didn't hang about too long!

All this rushing and rearing about, OTL didn't take his camera, here are a few pictures from young Ethan!

First of all there is an 'Explosion' of blossom!

Then of course there were the ducks showing off to each other!

Just look at these wings!

 The Mallards were the best for showing off.

So you can talk under water, but I'm not really impressed!

The best one is the Coot.

I just don't do Ducks!

So we are off to investigate dinner, Holly reckons it is Chicken but I think it's Doggy Scoff 'cos OTL didn't get any chicken out of the freezer!

Now, we have heard that Archie Babe could be home today so we are all crossing our claws that he manages to escape!

A New Beach!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

It has been another of those days when everything has been messed about with and some of us have missed out!

Let me tell you what I mean!

First of all Old Two Legs was up an hour earlier than normal 'cos he says he has a 'Lot to do'. Which was OK as far as Holly and I were concerned, more time snoozing on OTL's pillow!

Well, we got out much earlier and even the ferrets thought it was a bit off getting woken up before normal. Mind you, that didn't stop them mugging OTL for some nibbles and a slurp of Ferretone!

Down on the beach it was a bit blowy and there was rain in the air, so we didn't hang about too long!

OTL had forgotten the camera, so there are no pictures of Holly being a big tart in front of Bert!

We were left at home while OTL went off to have his eyes measured for some new glasses. Yes, he came out crying and saying that the opticians are as bad as vets!

I don't know what he is complaining about just think how much he would get charged if us woofers needed glasses!

OTL came back with some radios he had to re-programme and take back today!

He is such a busy boy!

Next we were off to collect some radios for delivery today and after collecting them we went down to the sea front at Herne Bay!

It's a really strange place 'cos it has the end of a pier out in the sea but there is no way of getting out to it unless you had a boat!

We meet a Herne Bay Woofer!

The Herne Bay Woofer was chasing stone that his Two Legs was throwing into the water.

We had a sniff and ferret around and Holly got us in trouble. You see she found a sniff on the wind and followed it, that was until OTL chased after her and put her on the lead. Now normally I wouldn't be bother but OTL decided to put me on the lead as well!

We headed back to deliver the radios and then home for a pre dinner snooze!

Tonight we have got Lambs Heart for us but we are not sure what OTL has in mind for himself.

One thing is for sure, he will not be dining on curry 'cos he had it last night!

Fate was kind to him after all!

We will be up early tomorrow to pick Zoe and Paul from Heathrow, at 08:30hr!

That means that OTL will have to be up at four in the morning to get everything done and on the road in time to get through all the morning traffic around the M25!

Still, we will have fun blowing raspberries at all the other cars!
