Another Sunny Day!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

Wot a super day it was yesterday, loads of sun shine and it was warm and sticky in the house.

Old Two Legs was prepared for the warm weather 'cos he draped the cage with a damp towel and then shoved frozen blocks from the freezer. Both sets of ferrets thought it was wonderful and soon curled up in the 'Cuddle Cup' or on top of the blanket.

Well, today, having got the experience yesterday it wasn't too long before they were all enjoying the chilled bed!

Down on the beach we looked for any ships that may have berthed overnight but it was surprisingly void of ships!

The sun was climbing up into the sky and OTL took this picture saying it was a 'Star Ship' in the sky!

A passing Star Ship!
Holly and I got bored with 'Ship Watching and settled down for a well earned roll on the sand!

If you gotta roll then you gotta roll!
Back home the Page 3 Girls enjoyed a rampage around the house but were pleased when they got back into the cage for a cooling snooze!

Fred and Wendy had a good time playing tricks on OTL, Wendy was chuckling away as she ran up OTL's trouser leg and gave his leg a lick!

Freddy spent most of the time on his back having his tummy tickled! He does enjoy this game and is always laughing his tail off!

After all that running around both Freddy and Wendy crashed out in their cool beds and in no time were fast asleep!

It wasn't too long before lunchtime arrived and we headed off to the beach again.

Nothing much had changed except it was a little warmer and the was one boat out to sea, a Pleasure Craft.

You can tell that holiday time has arrived!

Just one Sailing Craft!
The tide was in, so was I, straight in and swimming among the sea weed!

Throw the stick or I'll bite your leg!
OTL found a stick and while Holly was catching the rays I was having a great time!

OTL had brought one of his big cameras and a 'Macro 105mm Lens'. This is the one he uses for taking pictures of insects and close up of flowers.

Pretty but no insects!
Now, remember yesterday when I told you the flower was white? Well, here it is in it's full colour, or lack of colour!

Look! No Infrared!
While OTL was clicking away at the bloom we spotted a Dragon Fly ducking and diving around the bushes, then it landed on a bush and OTL did his 'Creeping Up On Insect' stalk and managed this shot.

First this year!
Back home the best thing we could think of doing was snoozing in a cool spot!

At the moment it is twenty six degrees centigrade and we expect it go a bit higher before this evening!

I think that tonight we have some Lambs Heart for dinner, but only when it cools down!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

And now for something different!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and the one and only Freddy de Ferret!

Phew! It has been warm today!

Old Two Legs was up good and early to have his breakfast and clean out the Page 3 Girls cage. Then he draped a wet towel over the cage and shoved a freezer block under their 'Cuddle Cup'. Then, after they had been for their run around the office, he plonked them back in their cage and dressed Freddy and Wendy in their harnesses and then into the travel cage!

OTL Hadn't taken them out yesterday 'cos it was just too hot for a ferret! So, today it is Fred & Wendy who are out for a run.

Down on the front Holly and I went off chasing rabbits while OTL got the ferrets out and ready for the run along the Sea Wall.

Now, Freddy is used to going out at lunchtime so this early morning stuff is a bit confusing!

Tucked under OTL's armpit and balancing on his arm both ferrets started off towards the beach. Freddy did his 'Wiggle' which tells OTL Freddy wants a wee but there was a little Jack Russel that was running around, so there was no chance to put Freddy down.

So Freddy did a wee down OTL's shirt!

After the woofer had gone OTL put Freddy down while OTL tried to dry off his shirt!

Next, Freddy got picked up and together with Wendy tucked up under OTL's armpit, off we went again.

Freddy was on the other arm now and because he hadn't done all of his wee, the feeling came over him again.

We spotted a couple of terrier type woofers down the path, too close for comfort, so, Freddy had to hang on.

He didn't and OTL ended up with another wet patch!

Sorry OTL!
We didn't hang about 'cos it was getting warm and OTL was beginning to sniff of Ferret Wee!

Back home the ferrets settled down to a snooze with the wet towel and freezer blocks.

The Missus said she saw Trevor (The Frog) in the bushes up the side of the garden. Holly and I came out to have a look but we couldn't find him and OTL thinks he may have got scared and hopped off into next door!

Lunchtime the ferrets were fast asleep so Holly and I left them there and headed off to the beach.

OTL decided that for a change he would have a little play with the Infrared Camera that had been sleeping in the camera box for ages!

Come on OTL!
OTL was playing with the controls on the camera 'cos it has been a while since he last played with it!

While we were waiting I went down to the waters edge and started off with a deep paddle!

Holly headed up the beach and was staying well away from the water!

You paddle if you want, I'll stay sniffing thanks!
OTL caught up with Holly and managed to get her to do a 'Pose' while sitting on the Sea Wall!

Yeah! I'm The Beach Baby!
I had a great time swimming and OTL managed to find a small stick that he threw into the water and I had a great time fetching it back so he could throw it again!

Throw The Woofin Stick!
Of course, OTL just had to try a photo of a flower bloom. Mmmm, maybe with a Macro Lens it could have come out sharper!

The bloom is brilliant white to look at but the Infrared camera sees something else!
Back home we all headed to a cool spot while OTL fiddled about with invoices and stuff, really boring!

The ferrets really enjoyed the cool bedding and slept most the day, except for occasional rush to the loo!

Tomorrow it looks like it will be the same as today, and the maximum temperature today has been 28C !

Now we are off to see what is for dinner.

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

It's a Yellow Filter Day!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

Phew! Wot a muggy day it's been down here!

Last night we had trouble sleeping, it was just too hot!

We couldn't wait until morning came and it was time to get out for a walk with the ferrets!

Down on the beach I spotted a couple of ships tied up to Sheerness Docks. One was a 'Floating Brick' full of cars.

Another Floating Brick!
The other one was a 'Banana Boat'!

You could tell that 'cos the ship had the name of the company on the side, 'Chiquita', they are a big supplier of Bananas world wide!

Hey! Mr Tally Man, tally me Banana!
Holly said that The Missus has eaten bananas and offered he a nibble but they didn't taste nice!

We didn't hang about cos the ferrets were feeling a bit hot and spent a lot of the times sitting in the bag and looking out the top!

Back home Holly and I got a bowl of chicken waiting for us. Holly said she was too hot to eat and she'll save it for this evening. I got through half of the bowl before giving up!

Around lunch time it was getting very muggy and Old Two Legs decided to leave the ferrets at home and the help them keep cool, he soaked a couple of towels and draped them over the cages to keep the temperature down!

The sky was sort of cloudy so OTL decided to take the Yellow Filter with us!

A Good Yellow Filter Day!
As we were walking along the Sea Wall there was a terrible noise coming from the beach, it was a Pug type of woofer with a 'woof' bigger than the beach!

The Two Legs who owned her called out to her ...........Holly!

Now, isn't it strange that the loudest woofer is always called Holly!

Gawd! Wot a Noise!
When we got to 'Our' beach, we met up with Darcy who had found a tennis ball and was having fun chasing it!

I decided to join in the fun and after a quick dip I was chasing the ball when it got thrown into the water!

Now, Darcy wasn't fast when chasing the ball but she almost all of the time managed to pick up the ball, that's 'cos her mouth was bigger than mine!

Gerroffthisismyball!
Mind you, it wasn't like that all the time. When the ball was up against the sea weed, I managed to grab it and get back to the beach before her!

Beat Ya! Beat Ya!
Darcy is a gentle woofer and she just loves OTL and didn't mind me playing with her ball!

Back at the car I got a good rub down with the doggy towel and we were off home in time to pick up TM from the village hall after her 'Master Class'!

Not sure what OTL is getting tonight but you can be sure we will help him eat it!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Another Sun Shiny Day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

Well, it has been a super day today. This morning Old Two Legs stayed in bed a whole thirty minutes longer than normal!

We didn't mind 'cos it is Saturday and The Missus had left good and early to get her 'Master Class' set up.

There is always the tables to put up and today there was a mountain of MDF boards and Butterfly Cutouts to get onto the tables as well!

Down on the beach there were no woofers Two Legs or Rabbits!

However, there was just one 'Pleasure Craft' sailing across the front of the Wind Powered Generators off the coast of Herne Bay!

Mind the Whirly Things!
Holly and I had a go at digging while April stayed tucked up in the ferret bag!

Miss May had a big roll in the Sea Kale plants up by the Sea Wall. There is some sort of sniff that really gets her going!

Oooh! This is GOOOOOOD!
Back home Freddy and Wendy had a super game of 'Tickle Tums' with OTL, at one time he had both ferrets on their backs, tickling their tums at the same time!

Both ferrets were laughing their tails off!

It was extra hot at lunchtime so OTL took us down the beach but in a different place to normal. You see he says that the ferrets could get too hot too quickly.

We all had a run on the grass path and then onto the beach.

Freddy spotted a waspy sort of insect and tried creeping up on it but OTL said he should leave it along 'cos he may get stung!

I reckon I could get this one!
Holly and I stayed up on the Sea Wall while OTL took the ferrets down to the edge of the beach.

The tide was out but the stones and mud were still wet and both ferrets had a little paddle just to cool their paws off!

Yeah! Cool and I can rest my tummy on them as well!
Freddy, being Freddy, decided to have a little paddle in the mud and then wash it off in the puddles!

He said he doesn't mind the mud 'cos the water was still cool!

I think I've got mud on my tail!
Because of the heat, we didn't stay too long and when we got back to the car OTL gave the ferrets a bowl of water to drink then after he sloshed water all over the ferrets backs and around their tummy's just to keep them cool!

Holly and I had a good slurp then retired to the bed for a rest!

Around four, OTL had to go and pick up TM from the hall. She said that they all had a great day and the 'Girls' had produced some great work!

OTL has got curry tonight so other than a nibble of Nan Bread I suppose we will have to put up with our 'Posh Scoff'!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

A Super Warm Day!

Wot Ho Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here again!

It has been a super warm day today a real summer type day!

Unfortunately the tide was out so I couldn't dive in for a swim!

Looking across the water towards Sheerness I spotted a car transporter ship. It looked a strange ship, a bit like a floating house brick!

If you didn't know, you'd think that the ship had a propeller sticking out of the top!

However, we all know it is a wind powered generator sitting on the dock!

A Big Floating Brick!
Holly Dog said she could really do with a dip in the water to cool off!

Yeah! In your dreams! I reckon at the first sign of water Holly would be off like a rocket!

It is too warm to play!
Lunchtime Fred and Wendy were having a great time on the beach digging holes. Freddy says that to keep cool in this weather you should dig a deep hole and then fall asleep!

This Hole Digging is hot work!
A short while ago Old Two Legs and The Missus went to the christening of one of their
Great-Grand-Children and her name is Dawn.

So, Hello Dawn!

Is that a 105mm Lens?
She certainly looks wide awake and interested in everything going on around her!

Dawn and Mummy!
OTL had taken some pictures at the wedding and now the Brides Maids came back for Dawns Christening

All together, Cheeeeese!
OTL has been playing with a new bit of computer gizmo thingy that changes skin tone and does things to the eyes as well. So, here is the 'Supermodel' mode!

You know last night OTL got a Kofti Kebab? Well, so did TM, Holly and I had a great time going from one to the other mugging them for bits of kebab!

Not sure what is on the menu tonight but we will be doing our best to repeat our success of last night!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Pass the Tissues, OTL's got his wallet out again!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here again!

You know sometimes we feel sorry for Old Two Legs and other times we reckon he is a big pushover!

Take this morning, May and April were out of their cage rampaging around. April was around the corner pretending she was digging the carpet up. OTL, who was having his 'Wheaty Bangs' hears the noise, puts down his cereal bowl and rushed around the corner to find April, on her back, kicking the door!

It certainly sounded like carpet being dug up!

So, OTL, having waved the finger at April as a warning headed back to his cereal bowl to find Miss May finishing off the last lick!

Yep, I could get to like this!
It gets bad when you have to fight off an 'attack of the ferrets' just to keep your breakfast!

Poor OTL!

Down on the beach the tide was in and I just couldn't resist diving into the water!

Trouble was, with this short hair cut, the water soon got to my 'Sensitive Bits' which made me stop, turn around, then head back to the shore!

Gawd! This is cold!
Back on the Sea Wall I had a good shake and got rid of most of the water. Holly said that we look like a couple of Jack Russell's with Hairy Heads!

Thank Gawd the sun is warm!
We got back to the car and Holly said that she wasn't going to show herself on the beach until she had a decent growth of hair!

Hair this short is almost rude!
Once home we headed off to pick up the big car. Fortunately the bill wasn't as big as OTL thought it might so he was sort of happy. Mind you, that didn't stop him from sniveling all the way home!

Lunchtime we spotted a 'Pleasure Craft' and once again we waved to them but we got no response. Holly said they didn't wave at us 'cos we looked like a couple of nudist!

Upon my life Ethel, there are a couple of nude dogs waving at us, avert your eyes!

The Corvid family were out rummaging around the rock pool but they laughed at Holly's backside!

Jus' look at the wobbly butt on that woofer!
Once back home I had to have a wash, you see I found some real smelly poo to have a roll in and The Missus had to give me a wash which I didn't mind 'cos it got rid of that terrible sniff the Poodle Parlour sprayed over us!

OTL looks like he is going to get a Kofti Kebab tonight, we think TM has got fed up with cooking!

Should be good muggings tonight!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

It's been wet today!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret back again!

After yesterdays terrible happenings we are getting back to normal, except for the howling draft around the tail end!

When we got down to the beach Holly spotted that the wind powered generators were all working!

We expect Old Two Legs to get his big camera out soon and he will try to get a picture of them going around and make it look like the blade are 'Bending' as they go around!

Just wait for the winter winds to blow!
We all had a sniff around the beach but didn't hang about too long, the wind felt rather chilly, especially around the back end!

This is a strange one!
Holly is still suffering from her 'Grumbly Tum' and today she didn't have to have her butt washed in public!

I feeling better but I've still lost my 'Mojo'!
Today OTL has been doing some house hold jobs that include mending the carpet where the ferrets have tried to dig holes in and under the carpet edge under the door.

Mind you, I will admit, Holly and I have also had a little 'dig' at the edges in the past!

Lunchtime it was still blowing and the rain was still in the air so we didn't hang about too much. The ferrets had decided that riding in the ferret bag was better than walking in the rain!

I've got over my Grumbly Tum but Holly is suffering still. Mind you, it may be a lesson to Holly not to eat any mucky stuff on the beach!

No more news on Rufus and we are still waiting for photos!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

It's Good News Day today!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret back again!

Super, wonderful, brilliant and Great!

Rufus had his operation and the lump was removed! We got news last night that he had been pigging out on a bowl of chicken and was drinking as well! Good News eh?

We will be keeping an eye on his progress and what he gets up to!

Now it is a good news day for Rufus but Holly and I haven't been so lucky!

It started off with Holly having a 'Grumbly Tum' this morning and after a poo ended up with a 'Grubby Butt'! Now Old Two Legs said that he didn't want a Smelly Holly in the new car, so, when we got to the Sea Wall we noticed the tide was in.

Great! I was straight in for a splash about, OTL took the ferrets onto the sand for a dig and Holly sat on the sand looking unhappy!

With the sun glinting on the water it looks like I'm swimming with fairies!

..........and there's even some red sails in the sunrise!
OTL took the ferret bag off his shoulder and as the ferrets lead was attached to the bag they couldn't go anywhere. Not so Holly Chops, OTL called her to the waters edge, pushed her backwards into the water and proceeded to wash the poo off her butt!

Holly was not happy, the water was cold and when it ran down her back legs, it made her shiver!

I thought it was great fun 'cos I kept running past into the water and splashing her!

It wasn't long before her butt was clean and OTL gave his hands a good wash by scrubbing them with the wet sand and washing it all off in the water!

Clean at last!

On the way back to the car May found a dead Shrew on the path and was on it in double quick time!

She gave it a good shake and then chewed it's head off!

Yuk!

Mmmmm! Tasty or Wot!
I suppose it is a treat for a ferret to get a fresh shrew but I wouldn't fancy it my self!

She then left it by the side of the path and walked on!

From the Car Park it was straight down to the Poodle Parlour to see wot the new lady is like and wot sort of job she makes of the hair cut!

OTL says that the price has gone up and for the extra dosh she had better make a good job or he will have a go at doing it himself!

Both Holly and I have decided that we would rather the new lady does our hair cut rather than OTL!

Can you imagine what sort of job he would make of our hair? Just look at what he does to his!

Bald all over!

Lunchtime Fred and Wendy got to have a walk where all the rabbits play. Fred was keen to do a bit of digging but Wendy got a bit confused with all the new sniffs!

There are some strange sniffs here!
The clouds came over and it started to rain, so it was a 'Quick Dash' back to the car cos it was time to collect Holly and I, mind you, the clouds looked a bit dramatic and would have been great if OTL had brought his Yellow Filter!

Where is a Yellow Filter when you need one?
Well, I shouldn't have mentioned the word 'Bald' 'cos this new lady asked if we wanted it a little shorter For The Summer'?

Yus, says OTL and off we went into the back room where we get all washed and trimmed.

Well, we got 'The Treatment' alright, it was short back and sides, claws clipped and the shortest Brazilian I've ever seen!

I think I'm going to wait a few days before going in for a swim!

We have forbidden OTL to take any photos of us until we get a bit more coverage!

We are going to ask The Missus if she can get some 'Before and After' photos of Rufus, claws crossed!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

A strange day!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss April, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

It has been all rush and tear today! We were up early again, The Missus was up early again with another new idea!

Old Two Legs tried to get some extra sleep but Holly and I both gave his ear and bald head a good lick, that got him out of bed!

Down on the beach May and April were doing what they normally do, dig holes, while I sniffed around on the high tide mark, just to see if there are any strange sniffs lurking under the sea weed!

Holly was late getting onto the beach 'cos as she was finishing off a sniff on the path, who should arrive but that young Bozo called Marley!

It's my new mate Old Two Legs!
Well, we all know that OTL is Two Legs and Marley had better clear off and mind his own TL or he could end up with a telling off!

Then, just so he understood, when he got close to her, Holly gave one of the 'Gentle Warning Growls'.

It is one we save for puppies, it helps with their education. A Woofer has to learn just what is good manners and what is not!

Let that be a warning, he is OUR Two Legs!
We didn't hang about 'cos the old, little car was off to the garage for it's MOT.

OTL had been onto the garage that looks after the big car and they sent out an engineer to see if he could fix it by the road side. Poor lad had been given a load of duff information and after about three hours decided to give up and get the transporter to pick up the car and get it down to the garage, which is what OTL wanted to happen in the first place!

Then we had to pick up the little car with its brand new MOT certificate and get it home!

Holly and I decided to stay at home 'cos we had sniffed rain on the wind and didn't fancy getting wet!

Now, at the time of writing the blog we haven't heard anything about Rufus and his operation but we are keeping our claws crossed for good news. TM is supposed to get onto her Face Ache thingy and get updates but because of the running about with the cars hasn't been on yet.

That's it for us today, TM is off out this evening and we are going to sit on the sofa and chew Bonio Biscuits!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss April, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Claws Crossed for Rufus.

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Mr Freddy de Ferret back again!

Have we had a good day today! We've been up the Kent County Show!

This morning first thing, we were down the beach a bit earlier than normal!

We met up with Bert who really fancies Holly rotten!

Morning! Holly!
Holly told him about going to The Show but as Bert had never been there it was a bit difficult explaining wot it was all about. In the end I told him all about the sniffs and then he seemed to get the idea!

Before Holly could get down to the beach the Ladies and young Percy came along the Sea Wall and Holly had to explain all again!

OK, anyone been to the Kent County Show? No? Right then, there is this place full of sniffs...........
While Holly was telling her tale I was keeping an eye open for any passing ships!

I spotted a Container Ship heading off to Hamburg to drop off a few containers and pick up some new ones!

Hamburg here we come!
It wasn't long before we set off for a day of sniffin some of the best sniffs in the county!

Old Two Legs didn't bring his camera so you will miss out on some of the views!

We stopped off at the Harrietsham Ferret Rescue stand where they were racing ferrets and telling everyone about the life of ferrets.

As we know all about ferrets it was rather boring, so Holly and I got into a corner and had a snooze while The Missus had a cuddle with one of the baby ferrets and asked if we could take a couple home with us!

OTL said that we didn't have the room for another 'Group', so TM showed off!

The ladies at the Allhallows Croppers held a Cardy Thong Thingy and through their efforts raised funds for Demelza House and the Harrietsham Ferret Rescue. Well, while we were there we were told about a ferret called Rufus who was handed in the the rescue a couple of days ago. He had a big lump where his tummy should be and he was rushed off to the vet who drained a lot of fluid. Then he was booked in for an operation to find out what the lump was all about. Now, this sort of treatment costs money and it was decided that the donation from the Allhallows Croppers would be used to finance the cost of his treatment!

TM will be putting pictures and a progress report on her FaceAche page so you can follow the story.

Claws crossed for Rufus!

Claws crossed for Archie Babes mum who went home with a car with a cough! Let's hope it was nothing serious! At least she got home, our car refuses to even start!

We are off for a snooze now 'cos all that walking around sniffing has made us both very tired!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Mr Freddy de Ferret.
