Lots of Sun!

Yo Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here with you again!

It has been a super day today, we were out early this morning 'cos Old Two Legs had to find a new place to park the car.

The council have dug up the lane that leads to the car park so they can lay a new covering of tarmac. Now that means we have to find a new car park and OTL has found an 'Overflow' car park across the other side of the park. That means a diversion through the village!

Miss April has an appointment made with the vet for Friday afternoon. She needs a new stock of medicine and the vet wants to give her the once over. Miss May will be going with her to give her support and we have told them to watch out for those sharp needle thing the vet likes waving about!

OTL has been working on the Tax Return today, it's a job he hates and tries to off load it to the accountant but he still has to supply more information than the accountant has. Poor OTL he just hates anything to do with accounts and book keeping!

Down on the beach at lunchtime Holly and I spotted a ship heading towards the river Medway and we were discussing what it was.

Fred and Wendy were complaining that they couldn't see the ship and said that we were lucky to have longer legs than them!

OTL took a 'Ferret Level' photo from a slab of concrete just to show what they could see!

A 'Ferret Level' view!
Holly said that they shouldn't worry 'cos she could tell them all about the ship!

You don't see much from this height!
The ship came steaming up the estuary and we decided it was one of those 'Balast' ships that suck up the sand or stones off the sea bed.

Anyone want some stones?
When we got to the bench we had a rest for five minutes and Freddy decided to crawl into the ferret bag for a small snooze!

This the life!
Miss Wendy decided to sit on OTL's lap and make the best of the shade. She reckons that watching to world go past from that height was just the best, except when she climbs onto OTL's shoulder!

You can see for miles up here!
A little while later Freddy poked his head out of the bag and declared that he was 'Ready to Go'!

OK, I'm ready, let's go!
Both ferrets walked back to the car and enjoyed a cooling slurp of water from the water bowl. Holly and I let them go first then when they got back in their cage we dived in!

Not sure what OTL has tonight but you can guarantee that we will have a nibble of whatever it is!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

The Magnificent Seven!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

What a super day it has been down here. The sun has been shining all day today. Up north in Scotland they look like they have had torrential storms!

There was some cloud this morning but it soon got blown away on the wind!

Morning in Isle of Grain.
The ferrets and I were having a dig on the beach while Holly was sitting on the Sea Wall. May was deep in a hole while April was sniffing the sea weed.

Without me knowing the gang turned up! First of all young Marley came bounding along the sea wall and was all over Old Two Legs like a rash!

Yo! OTL!
Then, one by one, they all turned up. There was Oscar and Max then Bryn, followed by Boo and Poppy who sat down in front of OTL while he took her picture!

Do I look good or wot?
In the end there were seven woofers, including Holly, sitting on the Sea Wall having a 'Meeting'!
The Magnificent Seven!
I stayed on the beach 'cos I was more interested in sniffing than posing!

Lunchtime it was Freddy and Wendy's turn and although it was quite warm Freddy decided that he would catch up with his tan and get a few rays on his tummy!

and a few rays onto my paws as well!
Of course, it was really warm and when we got back to the car we were all in need of a cooling drink of water.

Holly and I let the ferrets go first 'cos they don't have any way of regulating their body temperature in this warm weather where Holly and I stick our tongues out and pant!

Let us know when you ferrets have finished!
Back home we all crashed out for a snooze before getting ready to mug OTL for some of his dinner which is going to be gammon steak!

Yum! Yum!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Deep, Deep Poo!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

What a day we have had, well, holly and me anyway!

You see, we headed off to the beach this morning, all good and early but met up with all the other woofers when we got to the beach!

That means Old Two Legs was in panic mode keeping the ferrets away from the woofers!

Holly tried to help out a woofed that Bozo Pup Marley away and he got all upset and ran off!

One nil to Holly Chops!

So, Old Two Legs not very happy 'cos he didn't take any pictures!

We got back to the car park when Holly and I caught a sniff on the breeze that just called for some serious investigation!

While OTL put the ferrets back in the car and made sure they had a drink, Holly and I were in doggy heaven!

We rolled and then dived and then rolled and the dived and then rolled again!

Then OTL arrived!

We were covered in fresh poo from our ears to the tip of our tails!

You know we were not allowed into our bed on the way home and instead we got tied up to the metal loop in the back of the car and driven home, with all the windows open!

Holly and I got a bath like wot we have never been given before!

OTL had to wash and scrub and wash and scrub and that was just to get the poo off his hands before he started on us!

It was not the best way to start the weekend, getting washed I mean!

By the time OTL had finished we had gone through four washes and a good rinse!

If it was a washing machine it would have been called 'Intense'!

We were packed of to the 'Naughty Room' while OTL cleaned the ferret cages and when we were let out OTL wasn't talking to us, at all!

We stayed well away in case he decided to wash us again!

Getting on towards midday I went up to OTL and in my best 'Woofer Language' told him we were sorry and wouldn't do it again!

Mind you, the lunchtime walk wasn't much fun, I mean, the ferrets on a lead to one side while Holly and I were on a lead to the other side!

Anyone would think he didn't trust us!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Another Fun Day!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here with you!

It is always fun in our house, sometimes Old Two Legs get robbed and other times he manages to keep out of trouble!

Today he got attacked by Miss May!

Let me explain. OTL gets up in the morning and has a shower then gets the breakfast for him and the ferrets. While he eats his Wheaty Bangs in the office and checks his emails, May and April get out of the cage for a run around. April gets her medicine and goes for a rampage.

Miss May dives into the Ferretone and then grabs four bits of Chicken Strip that OTL has prepared for her and are waiting in the tray he brought the breakfast up.

While OTL is making sure April is OK and heading for her sleeping bag in the drawer of the desk, Miss May gets into 'Mugging Mode'!

She sneaks up on OTL's bowl of Wheaty Bangs and has a good slurp of the milk in the bowl!

Move the spoon over, I need to get my nose in further!
Poor OTL tries to get his breakfast but May really loves the milk which really isn't good for her, so OTL keeps putting her on the ground where the Lactose Free milk is waiting but she ignores it and is back up again pinching OTL's!

Everything I like is either Naughty, Smelly or OTL's!
To cap it all off, when OTL has got the ferrets ready to go out for a walk, he opens the office door and Holly and I dive in and finish up the 'Ferret Milk'!

Well, as OTL says, 'Waste not Want Not!'

Miss May had fun on the beach, she tried a little Rock Climbing or as OTL calls it, 'Scrambling'!

Do I need an Ice Axe and Crampons?
Once back home they get to have a rampage around while OTL cleans their cage.

Once May and April are back in their cage and ready for a snooze, OTL lets Fred and Wendy out and then it's their turn for rampage!

It is great to see them playing together and they both enjoy having a 'Rough and Tumble' with OTL!

He keeps rolling them onto their backs and gives their tummies a tickle which make them both laugh!

After about half an hour they are back in the cage for a snooze before the lunchtime walk.

Both ferrets enjoy the beach 'cos the sand is easy to dig and there are so many sniffs!

I really could do with an hours sun bathe and a Sea Weed Wrap!
Mind you, I don't mind 'cos when the tide is in and the sun is warm I get in for a swim!

I just love this ball!
Today Freddy decided to leave the ball to me, maybe it was because I dropped the ball right at the waters edge and there was a risk of him getting wet if he went after  it!

This afternoon OTL was back at work again, boring!

Still, tomorrow is Saturday so we expect some fun and games 'cos The Missus is off to the Village hall and we got OTL to ourselves!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Freddy plays Fetch!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret back with you!

You will be glad to hear that Miss April had a good night, no coughing and she was still in her bed, in the same sleeping position she was in last night when Old Two Legs said 'Good Night' though I'm sure she must have got up for a wee during the night!

When we went out this morning, both ferrets decided that they wanted to be carried to the beach. Miss May settled down in the ferret bag while April opted for the inside pocket of OTL's coat!

Easy as you go OTL!
OTL was walking softly and Miss April almost fell asleep on the way to the beach!

Warm, comfortable and half asleep!
For Miss April it was the same on the way back, sitting inside the pocket and watching the world go by!

She did however, walk the last bit back to the car but only 'cos she wanted a Wee and a Poo before getting to the travelling cage!

Lunchtime OTL decided to change the camera so he can take pictures using the Yellow Filter!

We had a look out the window and saw the clouds were all fluffy and calling out for a 'Yellow Filter'!

I was quite surprised that the position of the sun made a difference to the photo!

Another good thing was he could switch from B&W to Colour, clever or wot?

This one with the sun over his right shoulder.
Next he took a picture with the sun behind his back!

Looking towards Southend on Sea.
When we got down to the beach the water was close to High Tide, so that means I get a swim!

OTL had brought the rubber ball and I had a great time chasing in and out of the water.

I got the ball, again!
Now, Freddy said he wanted to join in the fun and grabbed the ball when I dropped it and he tried running off with it!

I got it!
Freddy said he didn't mind the ball being wet but there was no way he was going in swimming to fetch it!

When he got to the top of the grass path he said he could have done with a splash in the water just to cool him down a bit!

This is Hard Work!
Both Freddy and Wendy got carried some of the way to the bench on the hill and OTL said we could all have a rest while he pulled the burrs out of my fur!

Freddy crept inside the bag to get out of the sun!

This is better!
Miss Wendy slipped off the bench top and landed on OTL's lap where she found some shade.

Holly and I ended up under the bench in the shadow!

After a while Freddy said he was ready to carry on back to the car where he knew OTL had a fresh bottle of water for the drinking bowl!

OK, I'm ready to get going again!
Back home for some Posh Doggy Scoff and then a snooze before OTL's dinner time!

The Missus is out tonight so we will have fun watching a DVD and nibbling biscuits on the sofa!

Poor Archie Babe, all that washing will make him transparent before long if he keeps going on like this!

Mind you, if no one can see you, just think of the nibbles you could pinch without anyone seeing you!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

A Mixed Up Day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

Well,  what can I say?

It was warm on our walk this morning but because Old Two Legs had to go out working, we were forced to go out so early that we met up with loads of our woofer mates. Now normally that wouldn't be a problem but they all wanted to chat and of course the ferrets had to be picked up when a woofer came close. That didn't help the ferrets who wanted to have a run, well Miss May did, April was hiding in OTL's jacket pocket!

It was only when we got to the beach that she climbed out, just for a wee, then it was back to the pocket again!

OK, Finished, let me back in!
The clouds were blowing about  and OTL was wishing for a yellow filter, as he does!

Sorry, we can't knit a filter for you!
Back home it was the quickest ferret cage clean we have known 'cos OTL was out in a flash!

Later on in the morning Auntie Zoe and the family arrived. Now, I don't do Mini Two Legs and there were three of them!

They were the age and size where they think that a little woofer needs to be chased and Holly and I don't do chasing!

Especially being chased by MTL's!

We got put into the bedroom but we kept on getting visits from the MTL!

Scary or Wot!

It was great when later on in the afternoon, OTL came back and sort of rescued us, well, he kept them from chasing us and we got to have a snooze in the office!

The MTL were very interested in the ferrets but OTL wouldn't let them out of the cage 'cos all the ferrets wanted to do was sleep!

The MTL wanted to know where Brambles and Snowflake were sleeping and OTL took them into the garden to show them the flower pots where they are resting. The MTL, after a lot of questions decide that they wouldn't dig them up to see what they looked like!

Brambles and Snowflake were thankful for that!

So, as much as we love seeing the MTL it was a welcome sound that we heard after they had driven off up the road, silence!

I think we are going to get a chance to mug OTL for some of his Pizza tonight, I do love those small slices of sausage!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

And then it Rained!

Hello Woofers!

We are back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

Well, first of all, Miss April decided that she was going to stay in the ferret bag all the way around our walk. Except for the last twenty feet when she got out, had a wee and a poo and climbed back ready to get into the travelling cage in the car!

The rest of us had to walk, even though it was starting to rain!

Mind you, it didn't stop me from spotting a new boat, a little enclosed 'Taxi' type of boat scuttling along!

And what class of boat is it?
I had some fun with the rabbits. Holly and I rushed towards them as we normally do and the rabbits disappeared into the brambles. Holly went off sniffing the sniffs while I stood still, perfectly still, not moving still!

Not a hair is moving!
The idea is for the rabbits to think everyone had gone and it was safe for them to come out again.

Which they did!

They were a bit nervous and kept a good eye on anything that moved.

I was getting ready to do my 'High Speed Run' when Holly Chops came bounding around the brambles bushes and messed everything up!

Watch out, here comes the Lumpy One!
That was it for today, no rabbit stew tonight!

Back home we found a Red Admiral that had found it's way into the office and was bashing it's head against the window trying to get out!

When it stopped for a breather Old Two Legs took these pictures.

OK, I give up, how do I get out of here?
OTL, with the help of an A4 sheet of paper managed to scoop up the butterfly and put him out the open window!

OK, I'm ready to go!
Lunchtime came and it was still raining but we headed off to the beach for a run around!

You see, I had complained that we didn't have a stick I could chase and the tennis balls were just a little too big to get into my mouth!

OTL  and I had a rummage through the ferret toy box and came up with a rubber rugby ball that had lost it's squeak!

That was it, as soon as we got to the beach I was straight in after the ball!

I had to have a couple of goes to get used to the ball but in no time I was in and grabbing it like a professional!

Got It!
The tide was right up at the high point and the waves were no more than gentle lap!

That made it easier to swim out and retrieve the ball!

Look at me! I got the ball!
I have now made sure that OTL carries the ball in the ferret bag when we got out, I just have to make sure it is in the right bag depending on the high tide time!

This is easy!
By the time we got back to the car both ferrets were almost as wet as I was and Holly was Damp!

She was almost as wet as me and she hadn't even got into the water!

It was a good job that OTL had one of our towels in the car and we all got a good rub down before heading home!

This afternoon we all had a snooze and Holly reckons she has seen some 'Bambi Burgers' thawing out ready for OTL tonight!

Guess who is going to get a serious mugging tonight!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

Monday, 1 August 2016

You can tell it's Monday, OTL is working!

Yo Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret back again!

It has been a bit boring today 'cos you see Old Two Legs has been doing some 'Manufacturing' which is all very clever, but it is Sooooo  Booooring!

Holly and I decided that if he was going to be boring, then we would catch up on our snoozing!

Down on the beach we spotted that funny looking boat that we imagined to be a submarine but today it was closer to the shore.

It was a Barge, being 'Barged Along' by tug type of boat!

That's another tick off the list!

Just Barging Along!
Little Miss April decided that the ferret bag was the best place to be. She stopped for a wee, then climbed back into the bag and refused to come out until we were almost back to the car. So, in the end she got a little run in the fresh air!

Lunchtime we had to go out earlier than normal 'cos OTL had to go out in the afternoon, more boring work!

Luckily for me, that means we caught the high tide and the water was clear and cool!

OTL found a small stick that I could chase after. He kept on playing jokes on me, like, he would pretend to throw it and I would rush into the water and no stick!

I got a bit fed up with that game so I told him!

Throw the stick or I'll give you a cuddle!
Holly was sitting safe on the Sea Wall and of course she just had to offer her view on my swimming!

I just don't believe her!
After my threat OTL got the message and I was soon chasing a 'Real Stick'!

Look! Here's my stick!
OTL was off as soon as we got back and I took up my position in the bedroom window so I can keep an eye open for his return.

The Missus came into the bedroom and gave me one of OTL's jackets which when I caught his sniff, made me feel a bit better!

Late afternoon he came back and I got a cuddle then he was back up to the office to do the 'Paperwork'......................Booooooooring!

Poor Lad, will he never learn, working is bad for your health!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Introducing Bella!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here again!

It has been a lazy day today, well lazy for us woofers, Old Two Legs has been kept on the run but that is his job!

Being a Sunday, down on the beach there were loads of visitors playing on the beach and of course, they have all brought their Mini Two Legs and their woofers!

Not that it worries Holly or I but the ferrets get a little nervous when the woofers get too close!

That one is getting close!
One thing I did was to spot a 'Rare' ship!

This is the Japaneses Naval Ship called 'Kashima'

The Japanese school ship 'Kashima'
It was anchored up overnight in the Thames Estuary but sailed up stream towards London on the high tide.

Another tick off the list!

I got a swim but we couldn't find any sticks to throw so OTL tossed a couple of stones in to give me something to chase!

We must bring a small ball next time!
The visitors were splashing about in the water as well!

Noisy or Wot?!
No matter where we looked there were TL's making more noise than normal, any one would think it was holiday time!

They are everywhere, woofers and Tl's!
OTL went off to pick up The Missus from the village hall and got to meet little Bella!

OTL says she is smaller than Freddy and just as cuddly!

She had a sniff of OTL's shirt 'cos there were traces of ferret sniff and she was fascinated with the strange sniff!

OTL wanted to bring Bella home to meet us!
She looks like she will grow into a bundle of fun and will be chasing Hamish and Izzy around the garden soon!

OTL and TM are going to watch the recording of the F1 Race tonight while Holly and I rush around the room pretending we are in the cars!

Brrrrm! Brrrrm!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Saturday, 30 July 2016

Boooooooooring!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

What a day!

We haven't been able to take Old Two Legs out for a really good rampage along the beach, we got visitors!

That means we have to be good girls, no mugging and no woofing at the local cats!

Boooooring!

Still, we got our morning run and managed to stay out of the showers!

Chance of occasional showers!
We were not allowed to go in the water, well I wasn't and Holly wouldn't!

There were a couple of Bozo Woofers who did go in and all we could do was watch!

That looks fun...........Nah, that looks awful!
Now, enough about us being all negative about our boring day, how about some really good news?

Remember we told you about Rufus the ferret that was handed into the Harrietsham Ferret Rescue who had a big swelling around his tummy and how the money donated by the Allhallows Croppers was going to be used to finance his vet bills?

Well, this is him when he was handed in.

Rufus with The Lump!
The vet did the operation and after a while it was pronounced as a success and he was allowed back to recover at the Rescue Centre.

There is was........Gone!
We can now report that Rufus has fully recovered and is now a happy little ferret and enjoying life to the full!

Ferrets are very sociable animals and what a ferret needs is another ferret to cuddle up to when they go to sleep.

Roy and Chris at the Harrietsham Ferret Rescue will now be 'Introducing' him to other ferrets they have to see if he finds a friend to share a cage with!

At the moment he is all over Roy and keeps kissing him!

He really needs another ferret to kiss!

So, the fun and games start!

I'll let you know how he gets on over the next weeks and who he ends up cuddling and Rufus sends a Whopping  Big Thank You and a Great Big Kiss to all you lovely ladies at the Allhallows Croppers!

Our Little Miss April has not been so lively over the last few days and has spent more time being carried in the ferret bag than walking with us. OTL says it is because of her heart condition and has had a word with the vet when we went down there to get stabbed!

The vet says that he will give her a check over when OTL goes down to get a new prescription for her and her medication is now getting low.

So, claws crossed!

Well, that is all for today, it been a boring and good news day and it didn't rain on us!

Tomorrow The Missus is off to the village hall for one of her master classes and we think we may get to meet a 'Little Woofer' if we are lucky!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.
