Getting ready for our holiday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

Wot a super day it has been today, well for us it has! We aren't bothered by that big storm across the Pond, 150mph winds!

Our weather machine thingy on top of the house says that today our maximum wind speed has been 2.5mph!

We were up early and down the beach where we spotted the water steaming! Now, on the way we had seen the mist all over the fields so mist over the water was to be expected!

River Mist?
We said hello to Dave the Westie who was out on his morning stroll along the Sea Wall, we all had a woof and a sniff and Dave got his tail tickled by OTL!

Once again that Miss May pinched my ball while I was trying to bury it! Mind you, OTL managed to rescue it before she buried it under the hole she was digging!

Hey ! Shorty! Giss me ball back!
Back home Old Two Legs received instructions on getting the caravan cooker sorted out.

So, off we went to the menders but not with the caravan, instead we took the video cam with us!

OTL had been crafty and taken a video of the cooker!

So, there he was, in the menders with three engineers gathered around the video screen offering advice!

OTL then went around the caravans on show and poked his nose in the ovens!

Having got all that sorted we headed for home and a trip down the beach again!

I had a great time, I was in for another swim and then, as a special treat for me, I had a good roll on the sand!

You just can't beat a good roll!
Of course, then I was covered in sand and stuff, so I just had to have another swim to wash all the sand off my back!

........................and now for another swim!
While I was having fun in the sea Fred and Wendy were ferreting around the rocks looking for Nargles!

Nargle Hunting on the shore!
Miss Holly Chops had decided to pass on the Nargle Hunting and of course she kept well away from the water!

Why don't you lot just do sniffs like every other Four Legs?
Mind you, all this talk of frogs has us all looking in our pond but we couldn't find any sniff of frogs anywhere. OTL reckons that the frogs are hiding in our 'Wild Life' section of the garden where there is loads of weeds and stuff that may hide slugs and other food that frogs eat!

We will be keeping a close watch on the Wild Life area!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

A Sunday for doing nothing!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret back again!

This morning we overslept by a whole forty five minutes!

Even the ferrets were fast asleep when Old Two Legs went in to say 'Good Morning'!

IT was a little chilly when we went out to the beach and Miss May stayed wrapped up in OTL's arms to keep warm!

Mind you, looking at the clouds we expected it to be cold and drafty all day!

A cold start to the day!
May and I had a game of 'Hide The Ball' in the sand and you know what? I almost lost the ball to May!

It was a good job OTL rescued the ball or I might have had to say good bye to the ball!

Come on, let me have a go as well!
Back home it was 'Poo Shovelling' for OTL, as normal.

Holly and I rested on the bed, woofing at the neighbours who walked past the front of the house!

After all that was done we all took time for a snooze instead of watching the F1 racing.

We decided not to look at the F1 'cos The Missus is out at her Master Class and plans to watch the recording when she gets back this evening, so, we will look at the recording as well!

OTL framed a picture he plans to offer as a prize in the raffle at the Harrietsham Ferret Show.

He did one last year and that seemed to go down well, especially as it was a picture of ferrets!

By the time we went out at lunchtime, the sun had come out!

There was still a breeze blowing from the north east so both Fred and Wendy stayed cuddled up in OTL's arms until we got to the beach!

Once they were on the beach Freddy kept on telling Holly that she should go in for a dip in the sea but Holly, being Holly, declined and stalked off mumbling something about ferrets!

I wanna see those two splashing in the surf!
I had a little paddle but it wasn't the same without a ball to chase!

Fred decided to do a bit of rock climbing and set about doing some 'Scrambling' which is rock climbing but without and ropes and harnesses!

This is how it's done!
Wendy was climbing as well but she was further up the wall and was a lot quicker than Freddy!

The sun had got the tourists out and there were a few strange woofers and Two Legs.

Of course there were the Oooo! and Aaaah's when they saw the ferrets but as Freddy said, Roll on Monday so we can get a quiet walk!

TM should be home soon, so that means the F1 Racing!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

The Mystery of Archie's Shed!

Hi Woofers!

The Gang is back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

We love Saturdays, an extra ten minutes in bed, a lazy breakfast and all day with Old Two Legs trying very hard not to do anything too strenuous!

The weather forecast wasn't too promising but we headed off to the beach. Just as we got out of the village we looked across the fields and saw the first signs of a serious Autumn, misty fields!

Misty Morning Scene!
OTL stopped to take a photo then it was down to the beach.

We arrived and the first thing we saw was a Rainbow over the top of the hill. Although it looked pretty, we soon realised that the sun was shining through some rain to produce the Rainbow and we were in between both!

Very nice but we need to get a move on!
May and I had a quick game of 'Bury The Ball' but it didn't last long and OTL soon collected the ball and hid it in a Poo Bag!

No, I fancy burying it here!
In the end May decided to go for a run along the beach while Holly and I headed for the Grass Path and on to the car!

Just watch this, they don't call me The Flying Ferret for nothing!
Mind you, when we pointed out the rain clouds heading our way we almost had trouble keeping up with May!

Here come the rain!
We got back to the car just in time and it rained all the way back home!

Lunchtime Fred and Wendy came out with us and again it was OK at the start but soon the rain came down!

I don't like the look of those clouds!
Wendy wanted to dig a hole but after just a couple of paw full of sand she left it and we all ran for the car!

I just felt a drip on my nose!
By the time we got back to the car we were all wet!

So, by the time we got home we were all a bit wet and soggy!

Now that is a good excuse for a good towel down and then an afternoon snooze!

Now, we have been thinking about Archie Babes 'Visitors' under the shed. We had a visitor that took up residence under our shed and although OTL baited a rat trap with loads of goodies, we never caught him!

We haven't seen him for ages so we reckon he has moved on.

There was a time when we had mouses under the shed, according to The Missus but we never saw any.

Now, Nargles, that is more likely, those Nargles get everywhere and a nest of Nargles can be a real problem 'cos they keep fleas as pets!

Best of luck and don't get too close to the shed bottom, you never know what will come out!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Another swim for me!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

It's Friday!

Tomorrow we will have an extra ten minutes in bed! However, today we were up at our normal time and down the beach in time to see the first of the carriers arrive at Sheerness!

Sheerness in the morning sun!
Miss May was being a pickle, she pinched the ball from me and started to dig her hole so she could bury the ball!

I mean, that's My Job!

This is how it's done!
You know, she is getting more demanding every day!

Her place is normally at the back but she has been pushing her way up the line!

Come on, it's my turn up the front!
Fred and Wendy don't have any plans on taking over, they are normally so far back we have to set up camp to wait for them!

The tide was right in so I was straight in for a splash about and Old Two Legs even found a bit of wooden root that I had fun fetching and chewing!

It's OK, I can see it!
In the end I got a bit worn out so OTL called me back and I enjoyed a good roll in the grass.

The only problem was that I picked up a load of those horrid little burrs that stick to your hair and are a pig to get out!

This is getting tiring!
In the end I was pleased I lost the stick!

It was fun when we got back to the car 'cos I had to stand on the ferret cage while OTL picked the burrs out of my hair. The ferrets were calling out that the burrs didn't stick to them 'cos they have silky smooth hair that burrs don't stick to!

Show offs!

Still, we got OTL to ourselves tomorrow so we are looking forward to some fun and games!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

The Badger Ballet.

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

Well, there is also one more, we got a video sent by our mate Melissa of the antics this badger gets up to in her garden, just for a nibble of the bird table!

Now, if that didn't tickle you tail, nothing will!

The weather is changing here, we felt a little rain on our morning walk, not enough to worry about but it was there!

Looking at the clouds going past we reckon someone up north of us is due for soaking!

Gloomy or Wot!
Walking along the beach we discovered a 'Nelly Fish' and it looks like it got washed up on the last high tide.

Old Two Legs has always told us we shouldn't get too near 'cos they have stingers that may give us a nasty rash!

A washed up Nelly Fish!
We all headed off to the grass path and had a great time doing our 'Indian Style' sniffing!

How come she always gets the first place?
Back home for a snooze, only to be woken up by rain lashing against the bedroom window, it looks like that storm cloud has brought his mates with him today!

By the time lunch was announced the rain had gone and we were down the beach again.

You know it was high tide and the water was just right for a 'Deep Paddle' so in I went!

OK, I know you don't have a ball but what about a stone and pretend?
Freddy and Wendy reckon that it was better off back in the bag and the tried to rush OTL but he was too quick for them!

OK, count three and we'll both rush him!
On the way back to the car, OTL stopped to pick up Holly's Poo and while he wasn't looking Miss Wendy dived into the bramble bush and was heading for the deepest, darkest part of the bushes.

OTL tried to pull her back out but the lead was stuck so OTL stuck his hand into the brambles and followed the lead down to where Wendy was stuck!

He got her out and then spent the next ten minutes trying to get all the bramble spikes out of his hand!

He says he now has a 'Sore Paw'!

All together Aaaaaaaah!

OK, we are off 'cos we can sniff dinner, OTL's dinner and we need to taste it in case it is poison or under cooked, the things we do for him and he just doesn't appreciate it!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

TM is back!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret back again!

Wot a super day it has been!

We were up early this morning 'cos we had to get the house all tidy and ready for The Missus when she came back home.

Holly was rushing around picking up all the old carrots and biscuits while I was licking all the plates clean before putting them all in the dish washer!

OTL made the bed and got rid of all the crumbs and bits of carrot that got left under the duvet!

We got down to the beach and the sun was getting up. There was a funny blue light just under the sun and we were not too sure what it was. May said it could be a UFO (Unidentified Ferret Object!)

OTL said he wasn't sure while Holly and I said it was the reflection of the moon from over the horizon!

Any other suggestions?

It's an Ooo Fow Ow!
We had a game with the rubber ball, May said she had a super hole in the sand, just big enough for the ball.

Come on let me bury it this time!
i was down the beach a bit trying to decide if I should dig my own hole!

I rather fancy here to be honest!
In the end OTL picked up the ball and hid it in the ferret bag so no one could bury it!

Back home we managed to get everything cleared away in time and we sat up at the bedroom window waiting for TM.

Of course, when she arrived we gave her a good Woofers Welcome to show how we missed her!

You know, so far, she hasn't pointed out any things we had missed in our cleaning, so we reckon we have got away with it this time!

Lunchtime down the beach was good, Holly sat on the beach catching up with her tan while Fred and Wendy had a roll in the sea weed.

I did suggest that the water was super warm and just right for a swim but Holly Chops didn't share my enthusiasm!

In your dreams Daisy Dog!
Well, it didn't stop me from charging in for a splash about, even though I didn't have a ball to chase!

We have just got to get another ball!
Back home to some Lambs heart that OTL had cooked and then under the office desk for a snooze!

OTL got a frozen curry out of the freezer this morning, so we know what he has got tonight, it looks like we will have to put up with Naan Bread tonight and a slurp of gravy!

Now what is all this about fleas? We thought you had got rid of the little devils? You must have got too close to those Hedge Hogs again. We reckon your TL should not only give you the treatment but spray the house and then chase the Hedge Hogs with the spray as well!

I'm sure the Hedge Hog would be pleased to get rid of those fleas!

We were sent a video of a Badger raiding a bird feeder, now there is an animal with fleas, it's a good job we don't get any in our garden!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April and Freddy de Ferret.

Autumn is coming!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

Well, to day has been rather boring, not that we haven't been out or had a game of 'Dig and Whizz' on the beach!

It's just that Old Two Legs has been working, I mean, it's only Tuesday and we have been snoozing like champions!

Mind you, the ferrets do have the edge on us, you know they sleep around eighteen hours a day!

We were up a bit late this morning so the sun was up and climbing across the sky by the time we got to the beach!

Another sunny day!
May and Holly had a game of 'Dig and Whizz', May did the digging and Holly did the Whizz, followed by a Roll!
A Whizzing Roll by Holly Chops!
I did the hole digging as well and even tried to bury the ball but OTL spotted me and rescued the ball!

Almost gone!
I tried another hole at lunchtime but we didn't have a ball to bury!

The Missing Ball may be here, you never know!
Freddy had a dig as well but like me, didn't find a sniff of the ball!

No, nothing here, how about a carry instead?
It was cloudy but not cold but you could see that Autumn is here 'cos the wind has been blowing and the heating even came on this morning!

We were coming off the beach when Wendy spotted a 'Floating Brick' being guided past the sunken ship and off to where ever it is bound for!

Bye Bye Brick!
Back home we have had to suffer with Doggy Scoff today but OTL has promised that tomorrow we can have Lambs Heart!

Once it has been thawed out!

Still, we can mug some of his Pizza tonight and of course there is the shortbread and then the Bonio biscuits and teeth cleaning chews!

We may just survive the night!

OTL tells us that The Missus will be home tomorrow, so I suppose we will be up early to help OTL clear everything up and make the place look clean and tidy!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Just to explain the 'not quite' class - this is for those that have minor things such as chipped teeth, cauliflower ears, small ailments or something that doesn't affect their everyday life particularly.
The disabled class is for ferrets that have a significant disability- something that has an significant impact on their daily life - such as a missing leg - hope this makes sense!

Hey! Did you spot the 'Not Quite' class? We reckon Wendy is going in for that 'cos she has a brown tooth and a 'Folded Ear'!

Old Two Legs will put her in for the Polecat Jill section as well, just for the experience!

Miss May is a Silver Jill, so you can see where she is going. Freddy is a Polecat Hob so he is in with the big boys!

Enough of this ferret show stuff we'll remind you again later.

Do you think they have a section for 'Friendly Woofers'?

It rained this morning!

We haven't seen rain for ages down here in North Kent!

Luckily for us it rained after our morning walk.

May was digging when she spotted rain clouds in the distance.

Wot's That?
It was a good thing she spotted the rain clouds 'cos we could have got caught in the rain if we had stayed on the beach!

OK, I think I'm finished with digging!
We headed back to the car and although we found some good sniffs, we didn't hang about too long!

Sniffin' Indian Style!
On our way back the rain arrived and we had to use the windscreen wipers for the first time this summer!

Back home Fred and Wendy didn't even know what was happening out side 'cos they were fast asleep!

Not raining here!
Lunchtime came and we let OTL wake Freddy, Wendy was awake and waiting to get dressed in her harness!

We got down on the beach but I must say, it didn't look very inviting!

Wendy saw the rain cloud out to sea and suggested we start for home!

What happens if the cloud does a left hand turn!?
Well, we found out 'cos all of a sudden there it was all big and dark and looking very wet!

Now what do you think OTL said?

I really could do with a yellow filter!
That was it, no hanging about, let's get back to the car and we can watch the rain from inside the car!

Well, it didn't rain, even after we got back home it didn't rain but at least the ferrets got a good run back to the car!

Poor Freddy was exhausted!

Still, it was a good excuse for a cuddle and a snooze!

It's tiring work being a Ferret!
See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Paws up Sunday!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

I just love Sundays like today!

We stayed in bed a whole half an hour longer than normal!

Old Two Legs was up just before us to get his shower and then we were off to the beach.

Now, you all know it is Autumn and the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting longer, so that means we got to bed when it's dark and wake up when it's dark!

Now it seems that OTL likes this arrangement 'cos he can play about with the camera and shoot Sunrises!

So, while he is playing we get a chance to roll in the sniffs and dig holes!

Miss May was well away with a hole!

This is good for hiding from the sunrise!
Holly was still half asleep, so she stayed on the Sea Wall basking in the warm glow of the sun!

I won't get much of a suntan until it gets higher in the sky!
Of course, OTL was clicking away, so I suppose I'll have to show you his effort!

Morning has Broken?
After the beach we headed off to the grass path, May was dragging her tail a bit 'cos she was looking at the sunrise and saying it was 'Pretty'!

I suppose next she will be bringing her own camera to take pictures of the sun!

Don't that all look pretty?
Back home we decided to retire for a morning snooze 'cos we had a late night last night. OTL got the carrots out and Holly and I were chewing away into the night!

Lunchtime we were down the beach again but this time the sun was right above our head, so no pretty pictures!

Instead we were playing on the beach digging holes and rolling in the sniffs!

Miss Wendy was having a great time and she was getting well down into the hole!

Haven't seen a ball have you?
Freddy was having a great time as well and instead of a deep hole, his was sort of spread about!

I need room to roll in mine!
This afternoon we have been watching some TV and snoozing, so pretty soon we will wake OTL up and see what is for dinner tonight!

I like the idea of an early breakfast around 2-15! Mind you, we take our carrot to bed with us so that if we feel peckish we can have a nibble without going down stairs!

Organisation, that's the secret!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.
