It's Friday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

It was a bit chilly this morning but we decided not to have our 'Fleece Jackets', mind you, we met up with Max and Oscar and they had their 'Winter Coats' on!

It's a bit cold around the tummy area!
Old Two Legs reckons they were brilliant but as Holly said, 'If he thinks we are going to wear those, he's got another think coming!'

She has a point, just look at the legs!

It's a bit tight around the chest!
It was Fred and Wendy's turn to come out for the morning walk and they had fun running on the beach but Fred did ask for a carry half way back to the car.

The new Duvet arrived this morning but OTL says he will get it changed at a local store on Monday, providing they have one in stock!

Lunchtime it warmed up a little and Eric has been promised a run on the beach but not until Saturday
morning!

Miss May decided she wanted a run so out she came with us!

Eric decided that if he rattled the cage hard enough and if he chewed on the bars enough, OTL would let him come as well.

Eric rattled and chewed and rattled some more.

OTL let him come with us!

The frost had mostly cleared up but in the shadow of the Sea Wall the shells were still chilly!

I'm sure I've been Brass Monkeyed!
Eric got a couple of carries and on one occasion he ran almost half way up OTL's leg!

He made it back to the car and after a drink settled down in the Travelling Cage and warmed his paws up on Mays tummy!

Back home they were both straight into their 'Cuddle Cup' and asleep within five minutes!

The Missus has a 'Crop' this weekend, so we have got some time for a game with OTL and Eric says he wants to come out again, providing it's not too cold or frosty!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Slept like a Log!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Last night we all slept on the new bed and although it was like sleeping on floor boards, it was super comfortable and none of us, except The Missus, woke up during the night and this morning we all felt like we've had a good nights snooze!

Old Two Legs decided that the bed was ideal except for the duvet. It's the right size for the bed but when we are all fighting for a bit of the duvet, OTL always seems to loose out!

So, this morning he got onto the people who are supplying a new duvet to get it exchanged for the next size up.

Yep! We got 'Job's Worth' to help us!

Seems like the duvet is out for a 5 day delivery and can't be stopped, so, we have to wait for it to be delivered, then send it back, get a refund and order a new one. OTL said it sounds long and complicated and expensive on carriage charges and why can't he order a new one and the carrier pick up the wrong one, all sorted in one hit?

'Oh No, we can't do that, it's more than my job's worth to do that!'

So, OTL decided to do it the easiest way, their way, and although it may take a bit longer to get it all sorted, it has less chance of going wrong, 'cos they have their 'System' and as long as you stick to the System, it should work!

These Two Legs do like their 'Systems'!

This morning it was just as cold as yesterday down on the beach but we had a good game and as it was Miss May who came out, we didn't have to hang about waiting.

The sun hadn't got out of bed yet so OTL was clicking away with the camera.

Red Sky in the Morning means Woofers Warning!
We met up with some of the other woofers out for a walk and there was one Jack Russell woofer who was taking more of an interest in Miss May and Holly had to woof him off!

We had to get back early 'cos TM wanted the car to go out to a 'Master Class' that Auntie Barbara was running, sounds like fun!

So, today we have been lazing about on the sofa watching the world go by!

Lunchtime we woke up Fred and Wendy to see if they fancied a walk on the beach, they looked so sleepy that OTL said they could do with some 'Fresh Air'!

Not that it did them and good, they were forever trying to get back in the bag for a snooze!

They did have a run on the football field and of course stopped for a sniff at the Mole Holes!

As soon as they got back in the cage they were snoozing their tails off!

OTL has been busy on the computer again, so, we decided to leave him alone and instead sit by the window waiting for TM to return!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Bouncy Bed?

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

We were all excited this morning waiting for the new bed to arrive!

Holly and I had a snooze while Old Two Legs was getting ready to take us out and while we were out, the ferrets were jumping all over it just like that advert on the TV!

Bong, Bong, BONG!

That was it, Holly and I jumped up and were Bonging away until OTL  told us all to get off!

One of the good things was we could watch the progress of the delivery truck on a map on the computer. Lunchtime OTL reckons there was enough time to take us out for a walk and be back before they arrive.

Now I know OTL is pretty good at finding 'Windows' in the rain but when we got back home, behind our car was driving the delivery truck!

Cut it fine or wot!

After the bed was assembled and before the duvet was put on, OTL and I had a game of 'Bong' to see what the mattress was like, it was like a wooden floor!

Not so much 'Bong' more of a 'Thud'!

Mind you, when The Missus got on the bed and did her 'I can't sleep' Bong the bed didn't bounce so much as the old bed and mattress.

We'll just have to see what it's like tonight!

Bong, BOng, BONG!

It was a heavy frost this morning and lasted for most of the day in some parts. OTL was out early to knock a hole in the ice on the garden pond so the birdies can get a drink.

So, that's it for today, we have all had our medicines and the ferrets have had their anti flea drops and OTL says he is going to have a whisky tonight to celebrate getting a new bed after over twenty five years!

Excluding mattresses!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

The Day After The Day.

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Well, wot a day! Yesterday it was Old Two Legs birthday, I think he is 500 years old or summat near to that!

We went down to visit his cousin and his wife. Now Glynis, has her birthday on the 15th January so they get together to make it a whole day of celebrations and gassing about 'The Old Days'!

A woofer can get really bored listening to the tales they tell!

We were good woofers and didn't get into trouble when they went out for a meal at a local restaurant where they had loads to eat and they didn't even bring us a Doggy Bag back!

By the time we got back home it was terribly late, so we didn't have time to do a blog, we were just too tired!

Today Eric got to go to the vet for a checkup on his operation and to check his stitches. All was OK and the vet said he could go out for a run on the beach tomorrow but OTL said that we were going to leave it for another 'Few Days' just to be on the safe side!

Not that it stopped Eric from investigating the office.

He found the Thingy Wottsit that connects to the Internetty and asked if he could eat it as it had flashing things on it that looked rather tasty!

Does it taste like chicken?
The trouble with Eric is that he gets all upset when he can't go out for a run, especially when Fred and Wendy go out and he gets even worse when Miss May gets to go out and he is left behind!

Down on the beach Wendy spent a long time investigating the Sea Kale Roots that were still exposed to the wide world after our Storm which washed loads of sand and shells away!

These tubers sniff of something I just can't put my claw on!
Freddy was having a good time running and dashing about. He made OTL put him down almost as soon as he arrived and he ran and walked almost all the way down to the beach and back again to the car!

He did stop when one of those flying things came over the top of us, mind you, we don't see too many with two whirly things!

Is that a Helichopter?
The sun had got up when we got to the beach but OTL has made it look like it is very early but the sun over Sheerness gives it away!

A Sneaky Picture today!
We have been helping OTL take the pictures down off the wall by the stairs 'cos tomorrow we are expecting delivery of a new bed!

OTL has arranged for the delivery men to take away the old bed and install the new bed so tomorrow night we will be sleeping on the new King Size bed!

OTL was thinking of getting a Super King Size so all of us can get on the bed but in the end we decided that a King Size would be the largest one we could get in the bedroom and if there wasn't enough room, well, The Missus could always sleep in the caravan!

OTL got loads of cards through the door and there was even a couple sent via the Internetty thing!

One from The Cat Woman and that had a super picture of three ferrets that were the spitting image of Wendy, Eric and Freddy!

He also got one from Archie Babe which was a moving cartoon of a woofer being attacked by a bunch of marauding frogs! The only saving grace was the woofer had to stop chasing the frogs so he could do some mugging and pinch the sausages that were cooking outside the tent flap!

No, don't ask, it's too long and we haven't even mentioned the Robin and the Chaffinch!

Thanks Archie Babe, OTL has played it seven times already!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Wet!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here.

Well, there's not much you can say about today, other than it's been wet all day!

Out for a run this morning, without the ferrets 'cos it was raining.

They stayed in bed, we got wet!

It was so wet that Old Two Legs didn't even take his camera.

Back home to a good rub down with the Doggy Towel and dive into our 'Day Beds' to get dry and warm again!

The ferrets had a good rampage around the house and both Wendy and Freddy got a splash of anti flea stuff between their shoulder blades. Not that they have fleas but it is just a precaution, a bit like the stuff OTL puts between our shoulder blades each month. So far, we've not had fleas and the other stuff we have when we go away has kept the ticks away as well!

May and Eric will have to wait a little while until his operation starts to heal before OTL splashed it on them.

That reminds me, OTL has got some worming tablets from the vet which he has to try to get us to take. Just like Archie Babes tablets, they are the size of dustbin lids and have a taste that makes you go YUK!

If we plan it right, we could have a pound of blue cheese with these tablets before they get worn away with us spitting them out!

Lunchtime walk was about the same, wet!

No camera and our rain coats were too wet to wear, so we got wet, again!

Being a Sunday we decided to have a rest on the sofa with out paws up and watch a DVD. Holly wanted to watch 101 Dalmatians but in the end we settled for 'Lord of the Rings' 'cos OTL had the controller!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Saturday Sort Out.

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Today we have been with Old Two Legs 'cos The Missus has been out at one of her 'Master Classes' at the village hall.

One of the best things about her going out for the day......................no jet powered carpet sweeper!

We took Miss May out with us this morning, much to Eric's disgust.  He is still not allowed out until we get the OK from the vet, so early next week OTL will get the vet to have a look and make sure it's all going well.

One thing we did notice today down on the beach, the high tide had washed a load of the sea shells further down the beach and exposing the roots to the Sea Kale plants.

Look! Half the roots have got washed away!
There were parts of the Sea Wall that were exposed like wot we have never seen before!

This is normally covered with shells, and just look at the roots!
Back home OTL decided that it was Deep Cleaning Time for the cages. So, rather than an hour or so rampaging on the beach and in the grass, they got an hour rampage around the house!

OTL changed all the bedding and now, instead of a cushion bed with a folded blanket on top, they have 'Cuddle Cups' 'Hammocks' and 'Ferret Sacks' on the floor!

Now it is always interesting moving their stuff about 'cos they need to explore their cages again working out the best way to duck and dive in a race to the front door when OTL brings in their breakfast!

The only problem with this deep cleaning stuff is that Holly Chops and I have to stay in the bedroom, on the bed, sleeping.

Such a hard life we have!

Lunchtime we left the ferrets at home and had a walk with OTL on our own, which is good fun and we can go along at our own speed, instead of 'Ferret Speed'!

We had a good look at all the Sea Kale and was amazed at the number of plants there were on the beach and just how much of the sand had been washed away to expose the roots!

Normally this is almost all buried!
OTL got all arty again and got down on his knees to take this shot, which again shows just how much of the root or tuber was exposed!

We reckon a good three inches of sand had gone!
Of course, there we were studying the plants and OTL just had to take a picture of us sniffing the freshly scoured sand!

Did you hear a click then?
Back home OTL cleared up all the bedding and put it in the pile for washing and finally got to sit down for an hour before heading off to pick up TM from the hall.

It was good to read that Archie Babe is feeling better, can you have a hurricane 'Archie'?

TM came back and said that she has to give Eric a 'Special Cuddle' from Auntie Di who was all sorry to read that Eric has been through the wars. Well, if not the wars then certainly through the mangle!

That's about it for today, Sunday tomorrow, which means a 'Lazy Day' and we are getting ready for OTL's birthday party.

We reckon his birthday starts around midnight on Sunday and lasts until midnight on Monday, so Holly and I will get the whole thing started with a good ear licking around five past midnight Monday morning!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

The Snow Fairy Visited Us!

Yo Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, after all the warnings and plans for mass evacuation we got a little snow last night, just enough to make a snow ball!

This morning when we woke up, all that was left was frozen and that wasn't very much!

Is this all?
Even when we got around the corner there wasn't too much snow on the grass either!

I can see more grass than snow!
Looking at the sky didn't tell us too much about what was coming over the next day or two. Holly reckons it is more like rain than snow!

Well, they look more like rain clouds!
We got down to the beach and found the High Water mark, nothing any more than usual.

There is a high tide set for 13.03hr today so we will be down there to see if we get a 'Surge'!

Not any higher than normal!
Lunchtime when we got down there what did we see?

Water, with a little wind ans some white horses, but not the mountainous seas we were expecting!

We have seen bigger in the summer!
When we looked at the high tide mark it wasn't really any higher than normal, so, for us, not very exciting, dangerous or likely to cause any worry!

About the same as yesterday.
The wind was a bit strong but not too worrying, just a breeze at 10mph!

So, back home to some snoring ferrets and a bit of chocolate cookie before we both head for the 'Day Bed' for a snooze!

Now, what's all this about young Archie Babe and his midnight trips to the Vet College and a Windy Tum? I mean, a windy tum is one of the pleasures of life around Two Legs!

Mind you, pancreatitis can be right painful and it's a good job your TL has her eyes on you 'cos if you catch it early enough it can be treated without too much damage.

So, with the vets stabbing you with those needles and lots of loving licks from us we reckon you will soon be back to normal again pretty soon!

Keep yer tail up Archie Babe!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Eric does a John Wayne impression!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de (No Nuts) Ferret!

Well, what a day it was yesterday!

Young Eric came back all sleepy and snoozy. Old Two Legs put him in the 'Holiday Cage' overnight and he managed a couple of poos and tossed his food bowl across the cage!

Situation Normal!

This morning when OTL went in to see him he was awake, still a bit dozy, but as soon as OTL opened the door Eric was out onto OTL's hands giving them a good 'Pleased to see you' lick!

OTL decided to put him back with Miss May and as soon as they met under the blanket, they both started to lick each others face!

'A Ferret Welcome Home'!

OTL decided that Eric should stay indoors until the weekend and only if he is OK will he get a walk out on the beach! So, today Miss May went out on her own, which didn't please Eric 'cos he started to rattle on the cage door!

Down on the beach there were some odd looking clouds in the sky, all sort of 'Wavy'!

Haven't seen that before!
May wasn't interested, all she wanted to do was to have a roll in the Sea Kale, again!

Luxury pure Luxury!
No, OTL didn't tell her off!

Back home Eric was out rampaging around the house, as normal, he was chasing May as well and dooking all the time, so we reckon he was OK!

Lunchtime came and so did the rain, all cold and wet, not my sort of walking weather!

Nor was it Ferret Walking Weather either and both Fred and Wendy stayed tucked up in bed snoozing the day away!

Holly and I got back home and got a good rub down with our Doggy Towel and headed for bed!

We're glad to see that Izzy has got some Puppy Sitters for when she needs a snooze. Poor Hamish, he just doesn't understand what is happening, it's a male thing! No real interest until they can play Fetch or pawball!

We are going to watch out for the cold windy weather, down here on the news they were talking about 'Thunder Snow' same as a thunder storm but with snow instead.

The good thing is that it will all clear up by Saturday when The Missus has her Master Class at the village hall.

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Eric has a 'Sore Spot'!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, we watched the weather forecast and it said there would be rain, wind, possibly snow, howling gales and more rain.

Down here in the 'Soft South' all we got was a bit more wind! Mind you, over the next day or two it will be a struggle to get the ferrets walking if it's too rainy!

The same goes for us woofers as well.

This morning it was almost all blue sky everywhere!

All this before the sun gets up!
Miss May and Eric had a good run on the beach and May even found a super sniff to roll in!

...and just another spot further down my spine!
After we got back home Eric was packed up in the carry cage, complete with a newly washed blanket and off he went to the vets.

When he got there Old Two Legs got presented with a bill which listed Vasectomy AND Castration!

I mean, how can you castrate and vasectomise in one hit!

I mean, it's like having your claws clipped and then chopping your paw off!

Stupid!

OTL then had a discussion with the lady who just didn't see the mistake and it took the vet to also point out the mistake!

Down on the beach it was all grey clouds and wind, so it  looks like the rain may be here overnight.

The build up to a wet night!

Eric was ready to be picked up mid afternoon and when OTL called into the vets, there was Eric in the arms of a nurse getting a cuddle!

He was tired and also sore, or as Eric put it, 'There's something missing but it's still sore!'

It was decided to leave him on his own for the night and OTL got the 'Holiday Cage' in from the shed, fixed it up with food and water plus a big soft bed for Eric to cuddle up on!

In his normal cage he has to negotiate a hole in the floor plus four levels to get down to the toilet area, so to be kind the holiday cage has just a drop down from the pillow into the toilet area and if he wants, he can both eat and drink from his bed!

Luxury or wot!

We are going to keep watch over him tonight and claws crossed, he will be back to normal tomorrow morning.

Mind you, he may be walking with bowed back legs for a few days until it all heals up!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Roll on Springtime!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

I do like it when Spring arrives, you know, all the branches with leaf buds and Hawthorn blossom. The early butterflies, the early birds coming back from Africa and other places!

It's just got to be better that the gloomy weather we see when we go out!

Blue sky but we get rained on!
We met up with a few of the lads and Holly even had a game with Bert who is in love with Holly!

There were some new sniffs on the beach which Holly identified as Goose Poo!

There is more of it over here as well!
We were discussing what goose was responsible when Eric called down the beach that the poo was from a Brant Goose!

Holly was dead impressed that he could tell that from so far away!

That was until we spotted a few Brant Geese steaming along that we realised how he knew!

Sneaky Ferret!

Here come the Brant Geese!
There was a load of cloud going overhead but it not only reflected the sunrise but it was being blown up in the air!

Of course, Old Two Legs spent a good ten minutes trying to get an 'Artistic' shot of it!

It would be alright if it wasn't raining!
Back home it was back to our 'Day Beds' for a nice warm snooze while OTL got on with engineering the latest order.

It was just before lunchtime that he went out delivering while Holly and I had to stay at home. When he came home there was a 'Interesting Sniff' about him, he had been into the Doggy Shop, without us!

Mind you, we forgave him 'cos he went in to get some anti flea stuff for the ferrets and, while he was on his way to the checkout, he spotted some antler horns for sale. Well, chopped up antlers. Now he remembered that Hamish, Bella and Izzy liked chewing antler, so as an experiment he purchased two small bits. Mind you, he did say that the antler better had last a long time 'cos they were a fortune!

He still hasn't given us the antler yet 'cos we haven't eaten all our chicken yet but I can see us getting the antler tonight!

OTL has said that if we don't finish it, the ferrets can have a chew!

Yeah! Like are we leaving anything for those Guzzle Guts!

Eric is off to the vets tomorrow morning and providing all is OK we expect to see him back tomorrow evening, minus his 'Toys'!

Bye bye for now.

luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.
