Soggy Doggy!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

First of all, welcome back Mrs Goodes, good to see you are back again!

Now, we were expecting a mild warmish day today but what happened?

Yes, it rained.

It rained before we got up, we know that 'cos there is a big puddle in the road and on top of that, the rain woke us up!

Down on the sea front it was touch and go for us to continue the walk but Old Two Legs pulled his hat down over his ears and sheep herded us off along the path!

I mean, do we look like sheep?

Bah!

Well, I reckon we should have had our rain coats on!

The walk wasn't too exciting, damp, wet but little wind and not that cold!

The sun was coming up but we didn't see it, the sky was all grey mist and cloud!

We got the feeling today was going to be best spent in bed!

Not the most exciting view we have ever seen!

Lunchtime we were down the sea shore again but this time we did have our rain coats on and yes, it was still raining!

Holly spotted a rather large container ship heading down the Thames blowing its fog horn and making a lot of noise!

We saw that the containers were piled up at least four high above the deck! The wheelhouse could hardly see where it was going, so we reckon it was on 'Instruments only'!

Normally, when we get back to the football field, OTL gets to the car first, puts the ferrets away in their cage and then calls Holly and I.

Holly trots off and jumps up into the car but I play the pickle and sit in the middle of the field totally ignoring OTL calling me.

Then he starts walking towards me and calling my name.

I have turned my head away and was looking at the school!

I wait until he gets withing twenty feet from me and I rush past him and jump into the car laughing my tail off!

I think its a really good game and I'm sure OTL likes the game as well 'cos he never tells me off!

Today there were no ferrets, I didn't hang about, as soon as Holly was in I decided that it was a warmer, dryer place than in the middle of the field, so I joined Holly in the car and we shared the hot air blower until we dried our ears!

How to have fun in the rain!

We spot some Angels!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

It's been a super day today, there was a frost on the wind screen this morning so we had to herrrrrrrr on the screen to melt the frost!

Down on the sea front we were sniffin' the sniffs when Holly said she could see angels in the sky!

Really it was clouds, well, that's what I reckon but Old Two Legs took a photo and you know what?

We still are not sure!

Well, it could be!

 There was a frost on the ground, not much but enough to make it slippery in some places!

Look! Wheeeeeeeeee!

 Back home Holly and I headed for the bedroom so we can watch out the window for passing cats and Two Legs.

That's always worth a good woof!

We took Freddy and Wendy with us at lunchtime and of course there were loads of TL's visiting the sea shore and walking their woofers.

OTL had to keep a close watch for any woofer that looked like it was getting too close!

Of course, all the visitors wanted to stop and go through the normal questions and there was one couple wanted to hire a couple of ferrets to go hunting bunny rabbits!

I think that our ferrets are so well looked after they would end up being chased by the bunnies!

Across the football field Eric had a sniff at the mole hill but there was no moles at home today!

Come out where ever you are!

 Miss Wendy is always up for a run but Freddy will only have a short run before wanting to be picked up, he is a lazy ferret sometimes!

OTL, it time for a lift!

Back home we had a bowl of chicken waiting for us and of course that is followed by a serious snooze in the office!

The Missus has been playing with her card stuff and has come up with a Chinese theme and try as she might, she couldn't come up with a stencil of an Earth Dog!

We think she has put it up on her Faceache Thingy!

We are off now to watch the Olympics on the TV.

Misty Morning on The Marsh!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, here we are again with our new titles. Earth Dogs!

First thing this morning it was rather wet and damp and Holly suggested we could change the title to Water Dogs!

On our way over to the beach we stopped to look at the mist over the marshes.

First shot is of the container port with the big cranes and the gas powered power station.

No sunrise but misty!

 Then we turned around and looked back towards our kennel and there was mist across the reed beds!

All sort of Ethereal!

 Back home we found that The Missus had gone off to her Crop, taking at least a couple of tons of glitter and a few gallons of glue.

She was going to have a good day!

Holly and I got brushed and had the hair around our eyes trimmed a little. We also got our legs and paws trimmed as well. Old Two Legs has decided not to give us our hair cut yet 'cos it is still cold first thing and as long as we get a regular brush we should be OK until March before we get the bath and haircut!

Lunchtime we took Eric and May with us down to the seaside. Eric was talking about this year of the dog stuff and asked if there was a Year of the Ferret?

Holly, being very knowing about these things announced that there were twelve animals, Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig!

So, we reckon that as OTL sometimes calls the ferrets 'Little Rats' the nearest to a ferret is a rat.

Eric was not happy about that and said he would rather be a Dragon!

Holly also said that OTL was born in the Year of the Dog and what is better, he is a Fire Dog!

That explains his Woofer appeal!

Miss May says that as they don't have a year of the Ferret, then it is all a load of rubbish!

Just at that moment we spotted a container ship going down the Thames.

Shouldn't that be Yang & Ying?

We got back to the football field and saw that they were setting up for a game, so the ferrets kept off the pitch and instead went hunting moles!

Wot about the year of the Mole?

Last night we had a Chinese Takeaway and both Holly and I managed to mug OTL for some of his King Plawns and some of the Plawn Clackers!

It was great!

TM sad it made a change from cooking dinner but OTL did point out that he has been surviving on a diet of salad and cold meat and there was no cooking there!

The things he does just to loose a few kilos!

I'm not sure what we got tonight but whatever it is it will contain salad and cold meat!

Now, if you are really clever, or Chinese, you would know that  新年快乐！

Is Happy New Year!

Yes it's the Year of The Earth Dog and Holly reckons that is us to 'cos we just love digging in mole holes!

First thing this morning it was a bit chilly but the sky was clear and the sun was throwing up some interesting colours!

The Morning of The Year of The Dog!

 Now, I know I'm going on a bit about this Year of The Dog but it is starting off with some good weather and if our luck holds, we will get a Chinese tonight with Plawn Clackers and King Plawns!

Lunchtime was great, the sun came out and Freddy & Wendy had a walk along the top path and across the football field. Old Two Legs had to  pick them both up when a dopey woofer came rushing over but Holly and I soon saw him off with some well chosen 'Woof Off's'!

Spring is certainly here !

 We spotted some sea gulls doing a flight dance out across the mud flats and that is another sign that Spring is here!

Next we will see some flowers on the bushes in the garden!

OK, we have woofed off the Bozo, so do we get our Plawn Clackers tonight?

 Freddy enjoyed his run across the football field even if Wendy was trying to drag him in a different direction!

Serious Spring Weather!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, wot a wonderful day today!

There we were, enjoying a morning walk, when through the clouds we spotted some blue sky!

Look! Blue sky!

 As we were a little later than normal, we ended up meeting a few of the lads.

We came across Bert, he just loves Holly, he came running up and said 'Be My Valentine'!

Then he planted a kiss on Holly's nose!

No Tongues!

 OTL was disappointed that he missed the red sunrise but by selectively sampling the sky he produced this photo which believe it or not is just as it came out of the camera!

A burst of morning sunshine!

 We found the trench again and Holly says she in convinced that it shows where a trench was dug and then filled in again!

 Lunchtime the sun had really come out and there was blue sky's everywhere, both Miss May and Eric had a walk and a ferret about in the grass.

May even had a roll around and was kicking her paws into the air!

Someone get this branch off my harness!

When we got to the football field both of the ferrets decided to have a run through the mole hills and then raced off across the field!

Come on, let's do another lap!

They both were jumping over each other and young Eric was even dooking his tail off with joy!

OTL says that the good weather should last for a few days so we are all looking forward to some more racing around!

Old Two Legs gave us a little nibble of his Bambi Burger last night and he even gave us a piece of his pancake!

With a bit of luck we will be up and out early tomorrow and catch another sunrise!

A Bit Chilly Today!

Hi Woofers!

Guess who? Yes, it's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, Spring has been put back a little, this morning we were out along the sea side and the wind was blowing, in fact the wind made it colder and it was a case of a fast wee and back to the car!

Drab, Grey and rather cold!

 As it was still dark, so Old Two Legs was playing with the flash again! I mean, how would you like someone waving a camera around and flashing the light just when you started to have a wee!

I'm going to wee over that camera, I am!

 We were hoping that we could see the sunrise but instead of a sky full of colours all we got was a dull glow below the horizon!

Not the brightest sunrise we have seen!

 Back home we had a snooze while OTL did his chores and pretty soon it was lunchtime. The ferrets had all their time rampaging around the house  and having a great time chasing The Missus. Little Wendy had a super time pinching TM's socks and hiding them under the sofa!

Eric has learnt how to get on OTL's good side, he climbs up onto the desk, snuggles up to OTL, gives OTL's nose a lick and then runs over to the bottle of Ferretone waiting for OTL to squirt a cap full for him!

Sneaky Eric de Ferret!

Come lunchtime we woke Freddy and Wendy and suggested they come out for a walk with us.

Freddy wasn't too keen on the idea but in the end he relented and off we went.

Down on the sea front it was FREEZING!

The wind was blowing harder and the temperature had dropped and Freddy wouldn't walk!

Miss Wendy had a scamper along the muddy path and kept on getting back up for a cuddle!

When we got to the football field the wind had dropped , so, Freddy said he would have a little walk.

It's still windy and my tummy is cold!

Holly and I were sniffing at the mole hills but there was no sign of the mole today, we reckon he was hiding deep down in his hiddy hole!

Back home TM had forgotten all about promising OTL some pancakes and on top of that she had run out of salad!

Poor OTL had to eat chips with his Bambi Burger!

Is it Pancake Day?

Yo Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

This morning we all were sleepy heads, well, Holly, The Missus and I but Old Two Legs was up at the normal time. He's got a thing about trying to catch a good sunrise but the last few mornings have been a washout as far as he is concerned!

I don't think that today's sunrise was any better, except that there were a few clouds to break up the sky!

It doesn't exactly go 'Pow!'

We have noticed that it is getting brighter, earlier, nowadays. I can see OTL getting up with TM just so he can catch the sunrise.

Does the summer sun get up at three thirty?

We enjoyed a walk along the Sea Wall and Holly pointed out that there was still some frost on the sand!

Look! Frost! I wish I could go down for a roll on the beach!

Lunchtime we had full tummies 'cos we managed to get TM to cook us some chicken and today we actually got it served up all warm and greasy!

Lovely!

We didn't mind going out in the rain but we did leave the ferrets sleeping 'cos they don't do wet grass or rain!

Damp, Cold and a Strong Wind!

One thing we did see was the depression in the mud. Holly says it could be a trench where there was a pipe heading out to sea.

She maybe right, she normally is where earthworks are concerned!

Now, we reckon that today is Pancake Day and if OTL gets lucky he may get a couple of pancakes full of sugar or honey with a squirt of lemon, just how we like it!

We'll let you know what happens!

Monday and is it getting warmer?

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, Monday is here and normally everyone is grumpy on Mondays, something to do with work, whatever that is!

Not us, we have never done any work, unless eating and snoozing can be classed as work!

We hear that yesterday was Izzy's mums birthday, so, you know what's coming!

There, and we didn't mention a wee or a poo or a bum!

First thing this morning it was cold, so we left the ferrets in bed and went off to see if that subsidence was still visible but there was nothing there, just puddles and a few birds hunting worms.

Back home we found some Doggy Scoff waiting for us, YUK!

We managed to mug some Bonio Biscuits but it wasn't the same as a tasty beef steak!

Tonight Old Two Legs is going to get seriously mugged!

Lunchtime we were out again and this time with Eric and Miss May. There was still no sign of the subsidence, so we reckon we got a bad case of 'Shifting Mud'!

Loads of mud!

Being a bit warmer today, the ferrets were down for a run before normal so there was a little more delay than normal!

We didn't mind, the wind had dropped down and the sun was shining so we spent some time 'Mole Sniffing'!

Eric and May enjoyed a run across the football field, they had a game racing each other!

Come on, get in line!

 After a while we spotted a woofer across the other side of the field and Both Eric and May were a little worried in case the woofer got too close, so being all big and brave Holly and I stood guard and told the woofer to 'Woof Off'..............or else!

Both ferrets watched as the woofer disappeared around the corner so that left them racing towards the car again!

OTL says we 'Look Good'........but we always look good!

 Back home nothing had changed, Doggy Scoff sat there, untouched.

It will be there all the time until we have been out in the garden for the last wee before bed. Then, and only then, if there has been no sign of proper scoff, Holly and I will take a deep breath and finish the bowl.

BUT IT WON'T BE NICE!

Sunday is for relaxing!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

You know, Sunday is one of those days that everything in this kennel goes at a slower pace. Like, The Missus stayed in bed until half six, where normally she gets up at three thirty with things buzzing around in her head. Old Two Legs has often said that she should get someone to have a look at her head if it keeps buzzing like that!

No, today it was six thirty and as soon as she got up she was saying she couldn't find the pain killers 'cos she got a head ache. I mean, what's a little head ache?

OTL was up and running and soon we were off to the beach. The sunrise wasn't as spectacular as it has been but he was clicking away practising his 'Composition', whatever that is!

Now, if he could move the moon over a bit he could get it balanced!

We met up with a Black Bozo Labrador who had an LED light attached to his collar, I mean, who wants to go walkies with landing lights attached to your collar?

Cleared for landing on runway two!

 Holly said that a sensible woofer would use his nose to sniff out the interesting bits, not use landing lights!

We were investigating the mud flats and other than the Brant Geese making a noise there didn't seem to be any sign if the straight depression we saw yesterday but the mounds were still there.

We have all made notes in the 'I Spy' book Holly uses to make notes of strange things.

I suppose you could call it her 'I Spy Strange Things' book!

Being Sunday, OTL was a little more relaxed about us and left us to investigate a really strong sniff that turned into a seriously whiffy pile of poo that was calling us to have a roll and we did and was all over the place!

We got a good wash when we got back and the harnesses had to go into the washing machine!

Great!

TM developed a sore throat as well as the headache and decided to wrap up in a blanket and spend the day on the sofa watching the TV!

It's good news that Mrs Boy is heading this way, that means Archie Babe will get treats and cuddles and games!

OTL has spent some time up in the office watching NetFlix 'cos he says that getting near to TM is too dangerous if she starts sneezing and dribbling all over the place!

Saturday fun!

Hello Woofers!

We are back again!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Last night Holly had a Dicky Tummy and was in need of eating grass. She started off at the last wee before bed, then she woke Old Two Legs up at eleven thirty, then again at twelve thirty.

It was after that OTL fell asleep and was soon snoring his tail off, however, Holly felt the need to go out again around two thirty and again at three thirty but it was The Missus who volunteered to do the morning shift and she stayed up with Holly, both sleeping on the sofa!

It was great having all the bed! Just OTL and I stretched out and comfortable!

Today TM was off to the village hall and from what I was told, she had trouble keeping awake!

Holly on the other paw woke up and said she felt much better and didn't need any more grass!

All this getting up early stuff means we got down the sea side before the sun got up and as normal, OTL was clicking away!

First we spotted these two early morning fishermen.

No, You go back to the car and get the worms!

By messing about with the white balance on the camera he got this one which Holly and I think is the best one today!

Ethereal or wot?

Going out so early means we don't get to see all our old mates but we have met up with some new woofers.

There are two Wired Haired Foxhounds that we have great fun woofing at and they always answer by giving us a good woofing!

The only problem is that their Two Legs gets all 'Showy Off' and seems to think we are a pair hooligans!

As if!

Lunchtime we left the ferrets in bed 'cos it was splashing with rain and they really don't do rain, in fact they don't do rain more than Holly!

On the way back to the car we were studying the mud flats and it seemed that there was a sort of subsidence from the steps all the way out to the sea and in a straight line. Now, you would not expect there it be a natural straight line, it would sort of wobble out to the sea. Also the mud flat seemed to be rather 'patchy' when compared to the rest of the mud flats!

Could we have something emerging from the mud flats?

We will have another look tomorrow!

Now, back to TM and her sleepy head.

On the way back she dropped into the Kebab Shop and got some fish and chips for her and a Kofti Kebab for OTL and OTL even shared his with us, not a lot but at least he didn't try to give us the 'Pickle!
