A busy day in the office!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here.

Another cold and windy day today, that wind was cutting through our coats and it was good that Old Two Legs had dressed us in our harness which was a good thing cos when you get the wind behind you it makes your eyes water!

These sniffs are hard to get in this wind!

 Just like yesterday there were 'white horses' on the waves and even though it was a clear blue sky the wind dropped the temperature to a rather cold level we just didn't want to hang around!

No, we don't fancy a swim!

Once we got out of the wind it was quite pleasant and we had time to look at the blossom.

Spring is here, except that the windis still hanging about!

Now, we have seen several butterflies dancing about up in the trees but we couldn't identify them, until today when one landed on the path in front of us!

It's a Red Admiral!

You know it's a good sign when the butterflies come back.

Now, OTL has been thinking of getting the rowing machine out again cos he reckons that he needs to get some exercise to try to reduce the size of his tummy!

So, today he took apart the ferret cage that is not being used at the moment and made enough space for the rowing machine to be installed in the office.

Now, when he was using it before he didn’t notice any dramatic weight loss but said that he felt better taking exercise he wouldn't normally have done!

So, the cage was reduced down to its component parts, washed dried and moved to the shed and in its place the rowing machine arrived!

OTL pinched a pinny to keep the water off his large tummy and as soon as she saw it, Holly did a runner and refused to get anywhere near OTL in case she got washed again!

I mean, is he embarassing or wot?

Well, it has now all been done and I suppose that tomorrow we will be woken up by the sound of him rowing around the office again!

I've been Injured!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

What a day! First of all it was windy, I mean, like a force eight gale blowing in off the sea and that was first thing this morning!

It was that windy it tried to blow the sun away!

It was better when we got into the woods, the wind dropped and Holly and could then catch a sniff or two!

By the time the plants grow we'll have loads of sniffs!

We even found a Grain Rock in the gate post! It was one of those Mr Men stones!

Anyone give us a hand getting out of this!

Lunchtime the tide was in but the wind was just as high, there were loads of 'White Horses' crashing onto the sea shore but it wasn't high enough to crash onto the sea wall!

Well, the sky was blue and not a cloud to be seen.

When we got into the woods there was some blooms on the Hawthorn Tree worthy of a photo!

Now, don't that just look pretty?

We got back home and Old Two Legs started getting out all those tools he uses to shave Holly and I!

Holly was first in line and got showered, soaped and then shaved!

Of course, next it was my turn and OTL managed to nick my ear with the shaver, there was a mass of blood everywhere and OTL had to wipe a couple of drops off the wall where I shook my head!

Mind you, as a 'sorry' I got a couple of chicken strips to help the ear heal!

Well, you got to make the most of it don't you!

Let's hope it's better tomorrow we could do with some warm weather!

Look! No Limp!

Hello Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret again!

Good news! No limping from Holly today, just a bit of a wobble on the butt as she goes from sniff to sniff!

This morning it was a cold wind that blew us around the sea wall. You know, we didn't meet any of the gang, I suppose they had got out early, or were still in bed!

Young Eric has been in trouble again, he has been pinching the smoothies again. Old Two Legs spotted a smoothie when he was looking for Miss Wendy. She had been for a run around and ended up asleep in the 'Pinny Box' after chasing Eric all over the place.

Mind you, Eric crept into a warm spot behind all the boxes and wouldn't come out until OTL got Squeaky Chicken out and tempted Eric out!

Lunchtime looked like being fun, the sky was blue with just a little cloud, OTL picked up the camera, hoping to get some shots on our way around the walk but on the way to the sea front the rain started falling and the wind got stronger so the camera was left in the car and after tucking his head into his big coat, we all went for a walk in the howling wind and rain!

Not the best walk we've had this year!

This afternoon has been spent woofing at anyone who walks past the house, not very many of those. Seems like the village has gone to sleep and won't wake up until Summer!

OTL clipped Miss Wendy's claws and said that Holly and I will get our claws trimmed tomorrow!

You know, I had almost forgotten about the promised bath and hair cut!

Miss Wendy was asleep when the trimming started but soon woke up and demanded she gets a slurp of Ferretone before allowing OTL anywhere near her claws! 🙀

Now, what shall I demand when OTL approaches me with those nasty nail clippers?
