Wot Thunderstorm?

 Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferrret here.

Now then, there we all were, getting warnings of Thunderstorms and Floods going to wash us all away and drown everyone in the south of England.

Old Two Legs had set up the camera on a tripod, made adjustments to the controls, focused it to infinity and set it all to Manual Control, ready for flashes of lightning blasting down from the rain clouds above our house.

What happened?

One sheet lightning out the front of the house, no rain thrashing on the windows and one half of a rainbow!

Disappointed or wot!

We left the camera set up all evening and into the night but nothing happened, not even a rumble of thunder!

This morning we stayed a bit later in bed, I mean, no thunderstorm means we get a good night’s sleep!

We got down on the sea front expecting a small sunrise but even that was nowhere to be seen. Looking out to sea there was thick black cloud on the horizon and above it vapors trails from a couple of jets as they passed over head!

So much for the storm warning!

As this was the last day of the Christmas Holidays, we decided to have a super lazy day. The ferrets stayed in bed snoozing their tails off and OTL and I decided we would join them!

OTL has been listening to an audio book but keeps falling asleep, he has to keep going back to where he falls asleep and replays it again, only to fall asleep again!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Thunder Storms are a coming, maybe!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here.

Well, here we are, day two and there was a small burst of sunlight this  morning. Old Two Legs even stopped on the way out this morning to grab a shot.

The beginning or the end of a sunrise?

There was just too much cloud low down to get a good sunrise, but when we got down to the sea front there was enough to make you squint into the sun!

About thirty minutes too late!

There were a few woofers around but, in the distance, and we passed Max and Oscar as we crossed the football field.

There were plenty of sniffs and I even found a sniff to roll in but as it was all sort of dried up, I didn't manage to get it spread all over my back!

Just as I was getting going OTL shouted at me to 'Get Up' and then called me a 'Smelly Erbert'!

He's got such a way with words!

The wind was blowing the Wind Turbine and the sun was glinting off the blades, making them glitter as they rotated around.

OTL says one day he will try to photograph the turbines so that it looks like the blades are bending. He says it's done by slowing the shutter speed and increasing the aperture.

Sounds a bit technical for me!

This afternoon we got a Thunderstorm Warning across the south of England and as I write this blog they are supposed to be booming and crashing across us, but, it 'aint!

It's got dark but no sign of a Thunderstorm or lightening flashing across the sky!

OTL has got the camera and tripod set up, just in case. If we catch anything we'll show you tomorrow!

Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
