A most relaxing day!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy again!

You know, I love Sunday's it's the best day of the week, if you don't include Saturday where we go out to a place we haven't been before!

Well, today we stayed at home with our paws up and doing some deep snoozing!

An early sunrise kept us in bed trying to get some sleep but The Missus was making such a noise thumping up and down the stairs collecting her bits of card and bottles of glue and boxes full of glitter!

She headed off to the village hall before Old Two Legs and I even got out of bed!

Not so dramatic but gentle as the breeze blowing off the land and dropping the temperature a degree or two!

Back home There was some work OTL had to do but nothing too strenuous!

We were trying to decide if we should go down to Blean Woods down near Ashford but in the end, we decided to watch a DVD and have a snooze!

Lunchtime was just as dull on the sea wall and the most exciting thing was a freighter creeping up the Medway!

Not exactly the speediest ship afloat!

OTL had put on his 300mm lens, for a change and tried to creep up on some Brant Geese that were feeding in the shallow edge of the beach, needless to say, the flew off as soon aa he got within fifty feet!

If he thinks he can creep up on us then he is quackers!

Mid-afternoon it started to rain, so it was a good job we didn't go to Blean Woods or we would have got soaked!

I got a brushing to try to get rid of my tangled hair but I must admit, I didn't allow too much brushing 'cos it pulls my hair, especially on my tummy!

Still, I let him scrape away every so often 'cos I know soon that he will be waving the scissors and electric shaver and I will be bald again!

But not tomorrow!

Return to Dungeness!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy here!

The missus left early this morning to go to her 'Crop' with all her mates. Old Two Legs was up early as well, he planned to get some jobs done, things he had been planning for some time.

The first was to take me out for a walk!

Well, there I was, sniffing the sniffs when this horse sneaked up behind me, well, OTL said it was a dog but this thing was enormous!

 I could have walked under him and not even bent my head!

Scary or wot! by the way, his name is Murphy. It was a good job that OTL was there to protect me!

Next job was to renew the tap in the garden, the one we use to fill up the pond. That caused us to go into town in the big car 'cos TM had nicked the small car.

A new tap was the screwed onto the plumbing but OTL will have to go back and fiddle with it 'cos instead of pointing down, the spout is pointing sideways!

One thing OTL is not and that's a plumber!

It was then that he said we should get out for a run in the big car and quick as a flash we were on our way down to Dungeness where Holly and I used to have fun chasing rabbits in the bushes!

Here Bunny, Bunny!

I looked in several bushes and under a boat but there was no sign of a Bunny!

No Bunnies here either!

It was just as crowded with old boats as I remember it from years ago!

They all got holes in them!

Mind you, I wouldn't fancy going out in the sea with a hole in the boat, it looks too cold and wet!

Not only wet but windy as well!

Everywhere you looked there were both old and new fishing boats but they all looked as though they had been dragged high up on the beach to keep away from the high tide!

This one looked like it could go out fishing but only in the summer time 'cos there was no sign of an engine, so it must be powered by oars!

I wonder who the boat was named after Old Granny Rebecca?

Tomorrow TM is off again so OTL and I have the whole day together, all we have to do is to think of a place to go!
