A Wet Day!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy here.

It has been another of those on and off days. I managed to get OTL up early and it was funny watching him bumping into the bedroom door!

Poor OTL, first thing in the morning is not his best time of the day!

After yesterday's rain there were loads of puddles to dance around and I had to dance in a big puddle to wash the mud off my paws at the end of the walk!

Puddles and soggy mud!

It was still there at lunchtime but the sky was bright, just like a Spring Day. It's interesting to see just how quickly the puddles shrink into the ground.

We went the opposite way around at lunchtime and ran into Devo to Husky. It was great fun dancing around and it was a pity he wasn't let off the lead, but we did have some fun charging about!

He can't catch me!

We walked along the sea wall; I was planning to go in for deep paddle but the tide was still out so all I could do was dream of a dance in the mud!

Just look at all that lovely mud!

Back home OTL went back to the big lens and we sat there waiting for the birdies to land on the right branch.

Well, that was the plan but the little monsters kept hiding behind the leaves so all we got was a head and a beak and nothing else!

Maybe tomorrow we will get a better shot but until then we will have to watch them out of the window.

Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy.

Green or Yellow?

Hello Woofers.

Daisy here.

Well, we got another rain-soaked day here in North Kent but the day was saved by the fact there was little work for OTL to do and he could spend some time playing with his camera gear.

The renewed interest in the camera stuff has grown from the booking he has made to visit the Treshnish Isles off the top of Mull.

Then afterwards we stop off to Staffa to see Fingals Cave and then Lung to photograph the Puffins before they finish breeding and head off for another year!

So, to get a bit of practice OTL set up his VBL (Very Big Lens) on the big tripod. Now, our garden isn't that big and we got what OTL thinks is a Japanese tree with its roots on one side of the garden and the branches stretch half way across the garden. Anyway, we get the birds ducking and diving on and off the feeders and into the tree.

The rain was still filling the pond but he got a couple of shots of a Goldfinch and one that was a Greenfinch of it may have been a Yellow Hammer!

What do you reckon?

Now, we know this is a Goldfinch.

Now this is the problem one, Greenfinch have a yellow/green breast but this one seems to have an excess of yellow!

Greenfinch or Yellow Hammer?

Looking at the picture again, I reckon it's a Greenfinch.

If tomorrow is anything like today I reckon OTL will be trying to catch a few more birds in the tree!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy.

Raining again!

 Hi Woofers,

Daisy here.

Well, what can we say, it has been raining for almost all the day!

This morning I got dressed in my rain coat and set off to the sea wall but when we got to the car park the rain had stopped. So, OTL says that we can take it off 'cos I don't really like the rain coat cos it catches my hair at the top of my legs.

Off we went and half way up the path, it started to rain again and got stronger as we got to the end of the football field.

That was it, I sat down and refused to go any further and as OTL came to see what the matter was, I stood up and headed back to the car!

The lunchtime walk was about the same so I have been doing speed weeing today!

Both of OTL's mobile phones went off at three on the test alarm. OTL reckons it is a good thing, I mean, in an emergency we would like to be told, if the tin opener had got lost and dinner couldn't be served!

No pictures today, it has been too wet to take the camera out with us, would that count as a emergency?

Let's hope the rain packs up and tomorrow it will be dry, claws crossed!

Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy.

A Lazy Day.

 Hello Woofers.

Daisy back again.

Well, what a super day it's been. For some reason OTL was up before it was light and in for an early shower. TM beat OTL to the shower and was washed and ready to go off to the village hall.

We had taken a load of stuff up the hall last night so there was little to do and TM planned to have her breakfast up the hall while waiting for everyone to turn up.

OTL and I headed down to the sea front and while there was no sunrise, there was a very interesting colour in the sky.

Another interesting shot would be if he was looking along the breakwater and out to sea.

OTL and I spent most of the morning at home catching up on our missed snoozing.

Lunchtime we burnt the pizza that was left for us. OTL is used to burnt food 'cos that is the way TM does all the food. You know she can even burn lettuce!

It was still sunny down on the river side and we saw a large carrier come into dock on the rising tide.

We have had a super afternoon snoozing our tails off, it makes a change to get a good pre night time snooze!

St Georges Day tomorrow, let's get dressed up and hunt a dragon or two!

Luv,

Daisy.
