Foiled by a Woofer!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

We have been 'Snitched' on by Angie! We know the clocks go back next week but we planned to get The Missus up an hour earlier so we could have our breakfast BEFORE we went out for our walk instead of half way through the morning!

We had planned to jump up and down on TM telling her it was later than she thought and she was in 'Deep Poo' by oversleeping!

What happened?

Angie Snitched on Us!

That's it! She gets a 'Black Mark' and it's going down in 'The Records'!

Flushed with his success yesterday with his old camera, Old Two Legs was out with it again this morning and I must say, it is easier to capture a 'Quick' shot. The other camera is very slow to take a picture, it must be all of two seconds after pressing the shutter release that the picture is captured and by that time the subject could be half a mile down the road, especially if you are a ferret!

This morning the sun was shining but there was a bit of a chill on the wind. Mind you, the ferrets were tucked up in their Ferret Bag and it wasn't until we got almost to the beach that Miss Snowflake stuck her head out and asked 'Are We There Yet?'

Are We...................?
Down on the beach Mr Brambles found some sea weed and proceeded to dig underneath to hide himself from the Marauding Eagles and The Nargles!

Bet You Can't See Me Now!
Miss Snowflake said he looked silly with his head under the sea weed and his back side sticking up in the air!

Mr Brambles didn't take too kindly to that and when he came out he said that the eagles had given up and gone away 'cos they couldn't see him!

It worked! Look, they've gone!
Holly said that The Ferrets were getting worse and when would they return to 'Normal' again?

She can talk!

We met up with Oscar & Max on our walk and they are fascinated by the ferrets.  They keep sniffing and woofing at them and of course, that makes the ferrets a bit nervous.  Both ferrets were on their leads when Max & Oscar came tearing around the corner and started to sniff and woof at the same time. Miss Snowflake was closest and got a big wet doggy nose on her back! She was just about to turn around and tell Oscar to 'Woof Off' when OTL got in between them and rescued Oscar!

It would have been fun to see Snowflake give him a 'Ferret Toothy Kiss' but OTL said that would give him the wrong impression of ferrets!

Remove your nose sunshine or I'll have it for breakfast!
Mind you, the ferrets thought it was great fun to see both of them woofers hooked onto their leads and walked back home!

That'll teach them to sniff our ferrets!

Max & Oscar in The Poo again!
Back home we found 'Crop', so, we had the house to ourselves! A Greasy Chicken and Biscuits followed by a snooze and some bird watching out the back garden while OTL finished off his work!

We left the ferrets at home 'cos they were both fast asleep in their bed and OTL said they looked too comfortable to wake up!

Lunchtime and we enjoyed our Rabbit Sniffing. It's OK having the ferrets on our rabbit patch but when we get it all to ourselves it's just more fun!

Rabbit Sniffing!
After the rabbits we headed off to the beach but the tide wasn't in yet and I wandered off to get some sea sniffing in!

The only problem was, the mud was a bit soft and the best sniffs were on the mud!

Sorry OTL, the mud was a bit soft!
Down the Sea Wall, Holly met an old mate and they had a run about and a woof!

Having a game with Holly's mate!
Back home we all crashed out on the sofa and even OTL had a snooze! We all woke up when Holly decided to have a woof at a couple of Collared Doves sitting in the tree in the garden. Holly says they were looking at the tree as a prospective nesting site.

Those birds have been trying to build a nest in our garden for years and always chose a place where the nest would keep falling out of the tree!

Maybe this year!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Cloudy, Rain, Windy, Sunshiny Day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back with you on the first full day of Spring!

We do love the Spring Time! All the blooms are on the trees, the birdies are singing and there are more rabbits to 'Say Hello' to!

Like this morning, off we went for our morning jog along the beach but before we could get down there we dived off into the 'Hunting Ground' to say hello.

Rotten mean rabbits ran away! That's the trouble with rabbits, no manners!

Down on the beach the wind was blowing and although it wasn't cold, it was still a bit chilly! Of course, as soon as Old Two Legs put Miss Snowflake down you know where she headed!

Come on, just let me hang onto your socks for a while?
OTL, being used to her tricks did a quick 'Back Paddle'! Miss Snowflake was left to warm up by jogging along the beach!

It was fun watching her running after OTL and Mr Brambles calling out that he had got the best Tail on the beach!

Mind you, he was running along the 'Wall of Death' and kept slipping down the wall and to help balance he was swishing his tail from side to side!

Just look at This Tail!
Well, that took Miss Snowflakes mind off the temperature and pretty soon she had 'Fluffed up her tail and was wiggling it about as she walked along the Sea Wall!

Now, THIS IS A TAIL!
Of course, Mr Brambles didn't agree and called it 'All Wind and Waving', which I thought was a bit much but they carried on arguing all the way back to the car!

Mind you, I did see Holly waving her tail about but she just couldn't get it to Fluff Up like Snowflakes does!

When there was no one looking I tried to fluff my tail as well but all I could do was wag it!

It was a good job no one was looking!

Lunchtime OTL decided that the ferrets should come for another run 'cos the sun was shining and it was reasonably warm!

Today, OTL also decided to take his old camera with him and leave the Infrared Thingy at home, for a change!

The first place we started was the 'Hunting Ground' where the ferrets enjoyed themselves yesterday but today, no Infrared, and this time there were some new sniffs!

Mr Brambles started off with a Mole Sniff!

Oh Yes! This is definitely a Mole!
Which to be honest, I sniffed yesterday but he even had a little dig as well, so we left him to it!

Miss Snowflake got hold of a sniff she reckon is a trace of Weasel!

It is very possible that there are Weasels here 'cos we have seen one crossing the road a couple of miles back, so why not?

I can sniff Weasels, Honest!
When we got down to the beach I was frantic looking for a stick for OTL to throw in the sea for me but there nothing there! I was almost distraught! No swimming, all I did was get my tummy wet!

Here Sticky, Sticky!
Mr Brambles was having fun sniffing along the Sea Wall and said that he could sniff Holly Dog from this morning!

Mmmm, This is a Holly Dog!
By now Snowflake had decided she want to come out of the bag again and head up to the 'Second Rabbit Hunting Ground'.

OTL said she looked as if she has been asleep!

Can I come out again Pleeeease?
OTL got her out and both ferrets headed up the hill. Holly was not too happy 'cos if we went that way we would have lost half of our normal run!

Wot? That's the Shortcut for when it rains!
I didn't mind 'cos it means I get to try out my Rabbit Chasing skills for a second time and this time I was ahead of Holly, but not for long!

In fact, Holly and I were so busy OTL had to take the ferrets back to the car while we snuffled around the bushes, then he had to come back for us!

Back home we all crashed out, except OTL, and enjoyed a good snooze.

Not sure what is happening this weekend but we do know that The Missus is off to her local 'Crop' on Saturday.

With a bit of luck we may get to The Forrest and if the weather is good the ferrets may come with us, now that will be great 'cos they have never been there before!

We'll let you know what happens, especially as the clocks go forward an hour on Saturday night, OTL really hates it when that happens!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We get Left at Home and the Ferrets get Two Walks today!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles are back with you!

It was an early morning for us today. Old Two Legs and The Missus planned to go out shopping for three hours and told us we couldn't go with them! We showed off! Mind you, I did wake OTL up good and early this morning, about four thirty!

I know how to get my own back when get left at home!

Down on the beach it was a little windy but the sun was shining and would you believe it, we didn't see any other woofers at all!

Just us, we had the whole Sea Wall to ourselves!

Mr Brambles headed straight for the Sea Weed, he is still looking for the Monster who keeps pinching his Sand Holes!

I Know You're in Here Somewhere!
We all had a good sniff of the air and both ferrets had a go at Rock Climbing!

Safety First, they were both 'Roped Up'!
It was all a bit of a rush and back home we found there was no breakfast! Just a bowl full of 'Tasty Doggy Biscuits'! I won't tell you what they taste of but I've tasted Rabbit Poo that was far more appetising than that stuff!

Before we knew what was happening they were off and gone! We were left to sit on our cushion looking out of the window!

Well, we all got some snoozing done, let's face it, it's not as if we can even play with the squeaky balls 'cos Miss Snowflake has hidden them all in the 'Adventure Playground'!

They arrived back a bit later and of course we made a fuss of them and OTL said he would take us all out for a long walk down on the Sea Wall, and that includes the ferrets as well!

As an experiment, he took the Infrared Camera Thingy 'cos he could put it in the ferret bag when the ferrets were out and running and it was quicker in taking a photo than the 'Point and Shoot' one he uses in the morning!

We started off at the Rabbit Hunting Ground and Holly and I rushed in woofing our heads off!

As you would expect, all the rabbits were off and gone before we got there but it was fun sniffing at where they had been.

Mr Brambles was very interested in the sniffs and spent a long time tracking where the rabbit had worked it's way across the patch of grass!

Mr Brambles having a Serious Sniff!
Miss Snowflake was also sniffing for all she was worth, being an ex Working Ferret, she knew just what to look for and where to go but she said that OTL would never let her off the lead 'cos he knew she would only wander off chasing sniffs!

All the best sniffs are on the air!
Down on the beach I soon spotted the tide was almost fully in, so that means just one thing.

Time to Go Splashing!

Me Having a Splash!
I had a super time, chasing the stick and then shaking all the water over everyone on the beach!

Miss Snowflake getting away from me shaking the water off my back!
Holly stayed well away, in fact she hid behind the breakwater until I had finished, it was only then she would come and try to pinch the stick!

No Way!

OK, Have you finished shaking all that water about?
Mr Brambles stayed well away as well but said that a little water didn't worry him at all. Mind you, he did spend most of the time in the undergrowth sniffing for Rabbits and Monsters!

Water won't hurt you!
We all had a great time and back home I got a second rub down with our Doggy Towel before going off for a snooze. The ferrets were flat out in their Ferret Bed and Miss Holly was stretched out on her back in OTL's chair dreaming of Rabbits and Chicken and Chews!

You know, it really is hard life we have, all this relaxing and snoozing and having a good time!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

I go Potty at the vets and OTL breaks down again!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back with you again!

Have we had a fun day or wot! It starts off with the ferrets saying 'Good Morning' to Old Two Legs by giving his nose a lick through the bars of Snowy Heights!

That tickled OTL!

After his paddle around for half an hour he looked in where he expected the ferrets to be clapping and cheering and found they had gone back to sleep again!

It wasn't long before we all woke up and headed off to the beach for our morning jog!

It was a bit cloudy but wasn't too cold. The ferrets were still cuddling up in OTL's arms and it was only at the very last bit that they wriggled so that OTL put them down.

Ready for a Jog?
Miss Snowflake had some fun trying to get back in the ferret bag again and when that failed she tried to climb up OTL's leg, from inside his trouser leg!

I'm Coming For You!
Holly and I were sharing a sniff at the time and missed most of it, except for the bit where OTL went Whooooaaaaaa!

We all had a good laugh about that one, except OTL that is!

Mr Brambles got a bit stroppy with OTL 'cos OTL kept tugging on the lead and calling Mr Brambles to 'Come On'. All Mr Brambles wanted to do was have a good sniff at some grass and didn't want to do what OTL wanted, so what did he say?

Oi! Will You STOP Tugging My Lead?
At that point Miss Snowflake  called out........

Oi! The same goes for Me!
Poor OTL, he just can't win sometimes!

Back home to some chicken and biscuits followed by a snooze in OTL's office!

Lunch time we were out a bit earlier than normal 'cos we had an appointment with the vet who needed to 'Check us Over' prior to issuing a prescription for our anti flea and anti tick drops.

We rushed around the Rabbit Ground and saw nothing, that was until OTL did our 'Whissssss' call which is our 'secret call' that we should look where he is pointing 'cos there is a rabbit there!

Sure enough, there she was, sitting just outside the burrow, enjoying the air and keeping an eye on us three!

Yeah! I can see you lot!
Holly and I were over in a flash but she had gone long before we got there. Never mind, there is plenty of time and the summer has yet to arrive!

Curses! Missed again!
After the walk we were off to the vets.

When we got there we were made a fuss off by the receptionist and saw that our picture from a few years ago was still up on the wall!

Are we famous or Wot!

The vet called us in and that was it, I went into my 'Hyper Mode' thinking that the stethoscope was going to hurt and I was all 'Legs and Tail' trying to get off the table!

It didn't help with Holly woofing at me to 'Stay Still', I wasn't going to stay still until I was out of there!

Then it was Holly's turn and while she was getting the 'Cold Stethoscope' treatment I was scrabbling at the door to get out of the room!

We were pronounced 'Fit and Noisy' and OTL had to put us back into the car before he could discuss the medication we needed!

When OTL finally came out we could see he had been crying again, it looks like the vet had presented his bill to OTL!

Back home with the prescription in his hand he ordered up the medication on the Internet. So, it looks like we will be protected from attacks by Fleas and Lung Worm and Ticks when we are away up in Scotland and North Yorkshire this year.

What happens if it doesn't work? Will OTL get his money back?

No, we don't think so either!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles

OTL's in Trouble and I have another swim!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again.

It has been a bit of a mixed day today, a bit dull to begin with and then sunshine later, followed by a bit of rain and then sunshine!

Not that it worried me 'cos I planned to have another dip in the sea but when we got down to the Sea Wall, the tide was out!

It didn't matter to the ferrets 'cos they were having fun running about on the sea shells at the top of the beach.

Look! They're All Mine!
Mind you, that was only after they both dug a 'His and Hers' hole!

You stick to your own hole Mr!
One of the things that makes me smile it the way that the ferrets really enjoy having a scratch on the tufts of grass. Old Two Legs is watching them and smiling.

There is nothing like a good scratch!
Mind you, when Holly and I do it, he calls it 'Rolling in Poo' and tells us off!

We headed back to home looking forward to a good breakfast but when we got there The Missus had steam coming out of her ears! Seems like OTL forgot she wanted the little car this morning and OTL had forgotten!

That was it, OTL in Deep Poo!

We had our breakfast, Lambs Heart, but Holly said she didn't really feel like eating it all and just had a nibble. Seems like Miss Holly Dog has been nibbling on something that has given her the 'Grumbly Tum'!

OTL was in contact with the vet by phone and he has arranged for us to visit tomorrow so we can collect our prescription for the anti flea stuff for the year and some anti tick stuff for when we go on holiday!

He already is crying just at the thought of the cost!

Lunchtime walk was fun, the tide was in!

I found a stick that turned out to be a reed stem and OTL tossed it into the sea, off I went, Splash!

Holly stayed on the shore and was laughing at my Periscope Tail, which I was wagging at the same time!

Periscope up!
There were a couple of Black Headed Gulls on the breakwater and they told us to 'Clear Off' 'cos they wanted to practise their diving into the water!

Watch me dive in, just like a Gannet!
Holly said that they were very bad mannered and chased them off the breakwater! Back I went to chasing the reed stem but it after a while it broke up.

OTL found a bit of wood that was so much better and we carried on playing 'Chase and Fetch'!

Still got me Periscope Up!
Holly says it is funny how I always keep my tail up in the air but other dogs she has seen swimming use their tails as rudders!

Well, when she gets into the water and has a swim we will see what she does with her tail!

Somehow I can't see Holly swimming, paddling maybe, but not swimming!

It will be fun on holiday when we get down to our sandy beach, let's see what she does when she is there!

We are off to sit up at the window to watch out for TM returning!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

OTL has been Playing at being a Farmer!

Hi Woofers!

Another sunny day down here in North Kent, a little wind but just enough to keep you cool as you jog along The Sea Wall!

We were up early this morning 'cos The Missus decided to put all her card stuff back in her room and 'Sort it Out' at the same time.

The noise was Horrendous!

Lights being switched on, crashing of boxes and bins, poor Old Two Legs had to get up a whole fifteen minutes earlier than normal!

Down on the beach Miss Snowflake was having fun digging some more holes and chasing OTL asking for a cuddle!

LoadsaSniffs here!
You could see she was enjoying it all 'cos she kept on dancing from one pile to another and doing the ferret 'Snuffle', it's a bit like Moon Walking but uses for feet instead of two!

I just Love a good Snuffle!
Looking across the Medway we could see the sky getting brighter and the clouds were slowly being blown away!

Getting brighter all the time!
Just for a change we didn't see any other woofers and there was no one else out at all!

When we got down to the Rabbit Hunting Ground, Holly and I kicked up six rabbits and of course we were tearing around the bushes, going crazy!

It never ceases to amaze me just how deaf us woofers go when there's something to chase, like the rabbits!

OTL got fed up calling us and took the ferrets back to the car and then he came back for us!

Once we got back home OTL finished all his jobs and then went out to the garden with a rake in one hand and packets of seed in the other hand!

Pretty soon he was raking the soil in the 'Wild Flower' section of the garden and scattering the seeds. He said it was called 'sowing the seeds' but Holly said it looked more like he was shaking the packets of seeds. Then he planted some Goats Beard seeds he collected last year. So it should be fun seeing what grows out of that lot, providing the birds don't eat up all the seed or us doggies dig holes everywhere!

Lunch time we were down the Sea Wall again and as we walked from the car park there was a woofer charging about, you'd have thought he had never been let off the lead before in his life!

What a woofing he made, running and jumping all over the place!

What a noisy Woofer!
I was first down to the beach and found a stick which I put down at OTL's feet, he knew just what I wanted and he tossed the stick into the sea! In I went, my first swim of the year! The tide had just turned, so I was good and safe! I was in and out at least ten times and I got soaked from my nose all the way back to my tail and I had all four paws off the bottom and I was really swimming!

Come here sticky!
OTL was on the look out for butterflies 'cos he had brought his Infrared Camera with him and wanted to see what would happen when the sun was reflecting off the wings.

Well, I can tell you what happens, nothing!

First Red Admiral of the year!
We had a great walk and when we got back to the car OTL got the towel out and gave me a good rub down, even though I was wriggling about!

He had to have two goes at drying me 'cos he missed my tail the first time due to my wriggling!

'Ere, My Tail's Still Damp!
On the way back home we got held up at the traffic lights where the workmen are digging up the road, so OTL gets the camera out and takes a picture of the tanks that hold the frozen gas that is stored there!

Not only is there gas but around the site we have seen Marsh Harriers flying about hunting food and there have been Herons in the reeds and one time OTL reckons to have heard a Bittern 'Booming', though he never saw it!

Wild Life here!
Back home to a bowl of chicken and biscuits followed by a snooze with our paws up in the air!

Now what's this about Archie Babe being under the weather? We reckon he has not been getting his share of steaks and beef joints and chews and 'Doggy Treats'!

You tell them Archie Babe, a doggy needs his comforts!

Talk about comforts, OTL has got to get in touch with the vets about a prescription for our anti flea stuff and he will ask about some stuff called Advantix which is supposed to kill off Ticks!

We bet he will still be crying when he comes back home!

Mind you, the vet may want to see us for a checkup before giving OTL the prescription, more expense!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles'

Sunshine and F1!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back with you again on a super Sunday!

I think that Spring has finally arrived, the weather has been brilliant, loads of sunshine, very little wind!

When we went down the beach first thing both Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles climbed out of their Ferret Bag and rode all the way down to the beach on Old Two Legs arms! They were enjoying the sunshine on their noses and a cuddle with OTL at the same time!

Mr Brambles was running up and down the beach waving his tail about and Miss Snowflake even had a go at digging a couple of holes!

Just look at this tail!
On our way back to the car the pair of them hatched a plot to creep up and nibble my leg! I could just hear them plotting!

OK, You make a distracting noise while I creep up behind her!
You know, it would have worked except that I heard all of their plans 'cos I've got super sensitive hearing, except when OTL calls me!

The sunshine was glorious and we all had fun sniffin' and diving in and out of all the plants growing alongside the path!

Nearly There!

Back home we found that The Missus had gone to her 'Master Class' so it was up to OTL to do our Lambs Heart, which tasted rather good and both Holly and I finished of half of the bowl, leaving some for this afternoon!

OTL got busy in the garden opening up his 'Wild Flower' section, right at the back of the garden. He had covered it all with a black plastic membrane that allowed water through but stopped plants from growing. This means that the ground was compressed where he and us have been walking on it but it was still wet.

A bit of a rake around only loosened up a few stones, so he has left the sowing until tomorrow!

Our lunchtime walk was fun, 'cos on a Sunday we get all the families walking up and down the Sea Wall and there are always new woofers, but today there was a Very Big Woofer!

It started off when we ran around to the Rabbit Ground, half way around we came across a big Alsatian Type woofer with a muzzle on and it's owner fighting to stop it from beating up a little scruff-bag of a woofer!

We stayed well away! In fact we went tearing around to the rabbit ground, just to get away!

Let's get away from That Woofer!
OTL saw a plane go overhead and tried to take a picture, which, now we look at it, is pretty boring!

Just how boring can it get?
It was more interesting creeping up on the families to see if they had any food with them!

I can sniff Sarnies in that bag!
We went past a couple who went Oooo! and Aaaah! when they saw us, then they got up and walked down the Sea Wall after us, just to watch us play games with OTL!

Oooo! Aren't they Sweet? Aaaah!
Well, they followed us until we came across that big Alsatian again and you know the man had to not only hold onto him tightly but he had to cover his eyes as well!

We rushed by and a bit further on there was a Two Legs holding onto her puppy in case it got eaten by the Big Woofer!

Safe from being eaten!
Mind you, we didn't hang around, we just legged it after OTL up to the path and headed back to the car!

Back home we settled down to finishing off the Lambs Heart and when that was done we were just in time to see the F1 repeat.

A very interesting race which was spoilt by one driver not having enough fuel left in his tank for inspection after the race! We thought that was a bit harsh, but rules is rules! Maybe next time they will shove an extra pint in the tank to cover using too much fuel during the race!

OTL has got a good dinner tonight, so Holly and I are going into 'Mugging Mode'!

Steak and Chips, Mmmmmmmmm!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.
