We Love Mondays!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

What a super sun shiny day today! We were out early this morning 'cos Holly and I jumped onto Old Two Legs and gave him the 'Monday Morning Lick' on his ear and bald patch on his head!

That got him moving!

Both ferrets were awake as well and were rattling the cage door to be let out for their morning slurp of Lactose Free Milk!

They do so love that stuff, me, I can take it or leave it but the ferrets, slurp, slurp until the bowl is empty!

Now we have a bit of a problem here. The Missus doesn't like flash pictures of Miss Snowflake 'cos it makes her eyes brighter than normal and every time she sees Snowflake she says 'Yuk!' and that upsets Snowflake!

So. I want you to vote on the best picture of Miss Snowflake, get ready, which is the best?

The Real Miss Snowflake
 OR

A Photoshop Miss Snowflake
Mind you, we could take a photo of TM and retouch her eyes to make them look red!

 Scary or Wot!

After OTL had cleaned out the poo pots and changed the water and filled the food bowl and made the bed in the ferret house, we all headed off to The Beach!

Holly and I were out of the car and down to the Rabbit Chasing Ground ASAP!

OTL got both ferrets into their 'Ferret Bag' and followed us down the path. Miss Snowflake climbed out and took up her 'Watch Out' position on OTL's arm while Mr Brambles stuck his head out and asked .........

'....are we there yet?'
The tide was out so I couldn't have a swim but we did race up and down the sandy beach and Miss Snowflake found some dried sea weed and showed us how she could disappear from view in a flash!

Bet you can't see me now!
Just for a laugh, the ferrets were running back and forth along the Wall of Death and both complained that their claws needed clipping 'cos they couldn't grip onto the wall properly, so, that was a job for OTL when we get back!

We need a Claw Trim!
On the grass it was no problem and Mr Brambles showed how he can accelerate from a standing start on the grass when he digs his claws in!

Barrrrrumph!
Yeah, OK, we believe you, anything for a quiet walk!

Holly had some fun, while Mr Brambles and Miss Snowflake were ferreting around in the grass and stuff, 'Sniffin the Sniffs'. Holly hid in the undergrowth and waited until they walked past, then she stuck her head out and went 'WOOF'!

Well, both ferrets jumped back in surprise and Holly laughed her tail off!

'You see' says Holly, 'I've been trained in Jungle Warfare'!

The Natives called me 'She Who Turns Green in The Jungle'!
Both ferrets were seriously impressed and asked Holly to tell them stories about her time in the jungle when we all got home but unfortunately, Holly's voice sort of sent them to sleep!

That's a good story!
Still, not to worry, they will wake up this evening and if Holly is awake, she can tell the story again!

Lunch time we were a little late for our walk, I was having a snooze after my late breakfast of chicken and biscuits!

The tide was in but there was a stiff breeze blowing so OTL said that I couldn't go in swimming 'cos it was too rough.

So I went in for a 'Deep Paddle'!

OK, Paddle over, now, where's the Sniffs?
Holly was taking the Micky out of me and calling me a Soggy Doggy, just like yesterday!

Not Soggy, just damp around the edges!
OTL was into the insects again and soon found a Ladybird chomping away on the new flowers coming through.

Next time it will be the 105mm Macro Lens!
The wind didn't help and the flowers were blowing all over the place, OTL had to hold the Ladybird plant just so he could get a focus lock on the thing!

He had the same problem with the Buzzy Bee Thingy but we are not too sure what it is, a Bee or a Hover Fly or something we haven't named yet!

A Buzzy Bee Thingy!
OTL spent time looking in his 'British Insects book but other than a 'Bee' he can't pin it down on the exact name!

All the time were were down on The Sea Wall we could hear a noise like a strangled chicken, OTL said it was a Pheasant calling for his mate! We were not so sure, Holly thought it was a Nargle or even worse a Big Bear!

When she got to the seat and table she jumped up to take a look down the hill but still couldn't see what was making the noise!

Well, I know it's there but I can't see It!
It wasn't long before we had to have our leads put on and of course, as soon as that happened, what did we see?

A Sneaky Rabbit!
That was just too much!

Back home for a snooze before dinner!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

TM is off to Ally Pally and we try another lens!

Hello Woofers!

Us here, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

I don't know what it is but every time this Ally Pally Thingy Wotsit  comes around The Missus goes just a little potty, well, more potty than normal!

This morning she was up at four, playing on the laptop and then she went into 'Sort Mode' and then there was the 'Let's Tidy Up The Card Bits' and finally, 'Let's Switch On All The Lights and Wake up everyone'!

Old Two Legs was not happy, especially as he had to get up early and take TM and her mates to the station!

That meant that we had to go out early for our morning walk which didn't please the ferrets too much 'cos that meant they couldn't have their Sunday Morning lay in!

OTL wasn't too happy 'cos he had to leave the camera at home as we had to be quick 'cos TM had a train to catch!

Mind you, our lunchtime walk was much better, the sun was out and finally OTL had got the 14-24mm lens fitted to the camera!

He tried the setting at 14mm to begin with and at f 2.8. Holly kept om asking if it was focused properly!

How's The Focus OTL?
OTL says that this sort of lend means that you have to 'Get Right Into the Subject' which means he had to get down on his knees and shove the lens right up our noses!

Is It A Mouse or OTL?
Another thing that impressed OTL was the lack of distortion, the horizon stayed flat and didn't 'Curve' like it did on the 10.5mm Fish Eye Lens!

Look! Flat Horizon and Dopey Daisy has fallen in the water!
Of course, I hadn't fallen in, I had jumped in and was enjoying a swim! There is nothing so much fun than a swim at High Tide on a Sunny Day!

OTL helped by throwing the stick in for me to swim after and bring back to him!

Just look at that Horizon and just look at me!

It looks further than it really is!
I had a great time splashing about and of course, Holly stayed at the top of the beach, well away from the water!

OTL called me to sit on the seat and so he could take another photo. This time he set the lens to 14mm and f 5.6. Then he made me sit still while he took the photo and he kept telling me I was a 'Soggy Doggy'!

Soggy Doggy? Me?
Holly, on hearing this remark, roared with laughter and kept calling me Soggy Doggy for the next hour!

Oh Priceless! A Soggy Doggy!
We passed a fisherman who was concentrating on the tip of his fishing rod to see if a fish was tugging on the other end!

I said, Have You Got Any Sarnies?
OTL was on his knees again getting all 'Up Close and Personal' with a Dandelion!

A New Dandelion!
Next, he spotted a Ladybird, the first he has seen on the Sea Wall this year and of course, see one and there is bound to see another close by!

This years First!
Look he said, here is another one but without the spots!

I got spots, orange spots!
Back home we went up to tell the ferrets all about our walk and the results from OTL's lens but they were fast asleep and all we could get out of them was 'Oh Yeah, That's Interesting, we'll have a look when we wake up'

Yeah, very interesting!
Well, OTL has just got a call from TM asking to be picked up at the station so we are off to sit by the window waiting for them to come back home.

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

The Busyest Day of The Week!

Hello Woofers!

We're here again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Today has been Busy, Busy, Busy! It started off with The Missus getting up at some silly time to go and pack all her card making stuff ready for her 'Master Class'. Holly and I stayed up in the bedroom giving Old Two Legs a cuddle before he had to get up.

We couldn't sleep with all the crashing and bashing and turning the lights on and off and TM rushing up and down the stairs!

We had been discussing the lens that OTL plans to use this morning and Holly wanted to see what the lens can do!

So.

OTL set up the camera and the flash 'cos it was still dark!

Then he said ...........SMILE!

Is this how Fishes See Me?
OTL said it would be better once we got out into the sunshine and fresh air!

The first one we tried was on Mr Brambles as he had crawled out of the Ferret Bag and onto OTL's arm!

You have focused on my butt!
Holly thought that it was funny that OTL couldn't get the camera to focus on the correct bit!

Miss Snowflake said that OTL should try taking a picture while she walked towards him and at one point the focus should be correct!

So we tried!

How is my focus?
Snowflake said that it made her nose look big and it's a good job OTL didn't take a picture of her tail!

Mr Brambles tried it and said that his head looked OK and even his butt looked trim!

Am I looking good or Wot!
It was OK but when you added some of the surrounding it all seemed to be wobbly or bendy!

I've never seen that before!
It was even worse when you looked at the horizon 'cos it looked all bent!

If you go too far you'll fall off the edge!
It was good to get back to the grass at least that didn't bend all over the place, unless the wind blew!

Mr Brambles was in Hunting Mode and said that he could sniff Mouses but Holly said that he should be careful 'cos if they got photographed with the Fish Eye Lens, they could end up looking bigger than him!

Scary Or Wot!

I sniff Mouses!
Back home we got into our breakfast, Ox Heart!

OTL spent all morning cleaning the inside of the car, just to get rid of all the rocks and dirt that seem to stick to our paws when we get back into the car after our walk!

We went for our lunchtime walk but this time we went over the fields and had a really good sniff, especially when the horses came out for their walk as well but this time none of them did a poo!

OTL said that he had to leave us while he went to pick up the caravan which had been all sorted and serviced!

It was BORING, BORING, BORING, that was until TM came back from her Master Class and we all had a big cuddle!

Tomorrow, we are going to have some fun trying out another lens 'cos let's face it, today's pictures were terrible!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

What Lens? What's for Dinner?

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

It was a bit of a slow start to the day today, first of all we were late in getting up and that includes the ferrets!

Down on The Beach it was cloudy and there was a slight chill to the wind, but not enough to stop us having fun!

Mr Brambles started off by investigating a smelly old plastic bag, Old Two Legs told him to 'Leave It Alone' 'cos you never know what has been in the bag!

What? Me?
OTL was playing about with his camera, trying to work out a 'Do It All' setting where he could photograph the ferrets and us without looking through the view finder. Yeah, I know, but if that what he wants to do, let him play!

And play he did, chasing the ferrets all over the place, waving the camera around trying to take pictures of the ferrets!

Come on Dear, smile for OTL!
OTL was using a 50mm lens but getting us all in was a bit difficult, so tomorrow he will try another lens!

Mind you, it didn't stop the ferrets from being a right pain in the tail! They kept sneaking up behind Holly and me and nipping us. Then they would roar with laughter as we jumped up in the air in surprise!

Gotcha!
Mind you, a ferrets version of laughter is a 'Dook, Dook, Dook' sort of sound!

Back home they were still full of life and Miss Snowflake was investigating OTL's boots. Now you wouldn't believe that a ferret could fit in the boot but Snowflake can, and still have a scratch at the toe cap!

It whiffs a bit in here!
No matter how many times OTL tickled her tail, she would come flying out to see who it was then dive back into the boot again!

This one Honks as well!
We went out with OTL into Maidstone to visit one of his customers and while he went in to the office, Holly and I sat in the car woofing our heads off at all the squirrels there were running around the car!

Back home again, but we stopped off at The Beach again and went chasing rabbits while OTL went back to playing with the camera settings.

Some of the flying insects were out looking for food, so there was OTL, kneeling down next to the plants clicking away!

Buzz, Buzz at f/5.6
The snail was fast asleep so OTL didn't get a shot of his face but the wind dropped just enough for this picture!

Another one at f/5.6
Now, there we were, chasing rabbits and generally having a good time when OTL called me over and made me sit down in front of him and look at a bit of grass he had picked.

Watch the grass!

This is f/1.8!
Holly got the same treatment but she had just finished chasing a rabbit and was well pleased with herself!

A Happy Holly at f/2.8!

Back home we found Auntie Sheila in the front room playing with the glue pot, so Holly and I headed off to the office 'cos we didn't want to get covered in glitter and stuff!

Tomorrow we will be going with OTL to pick up the caravan after it has been serviced. We will give it a good wash and get it ready for our holiday.

This year the ferrets will be coming with us, so OTL has got to make sure the small cage fits somewhere inside during the night!

OTL tells us that tomorrow  he will try a 10.5mm lens on the camera. Now this will be fun 'cos it's called a Fish Eye Lens and if you don't get it right it makes you look like a balloon!

Now, I'm off to see whats for dinner!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Tragedy and Doom & Gloom

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

It has been one of those 'Good' but 'Expensive' and 'Oh No!' days today!

Well, it started this morning when we all went off to The Beach for our morning exercise with the ferrets. Now, you know Old Two Legs normally takes a few photos of the ferrets digging holes or chasing us dogs or trying to climb up OTL's leg to get back in the Ferret Bag if it gets wet or cold. Of course, then there is the Rock Climbing and Rabbit hunting and the Ferrets donig Dog Hunting as well. All captured on a small 'Point & Shoot' camera OTL has had for many many years!

This morning, after putting the ferrets down on the sandy beach, he reached for his camera to take a shot of Miss Snowflake doing her ' Moon Walking' down the beach to the tune of 'I'm Walking Backwards to Christmas!'

As soon as he switched it on he knew there was something not right, the screed that shows the menu and a 'Live' picture of what he is going to photograph wasn't working! Like, nothing, blank screen, zilch, dead, gone, finished!

He switched it on and off a few times and then started mumbling curses under his breath!

No pictures of us and the ferrets!

What was worse, when he got back home and took a look at it again, it still wouldn't work, even after OTL had given it a 'Good Talking Too'!

The rest of the morning was spent looking on the Internet for a replacement. Expensive these cameras and it was about then that we could see a little tear in the corner of OTL's eye!

OTL is not a 'Happy Puppy'!

Lunch time we went out down to the beach again and such was the distraught in OTL that he even forgot to take his big camera to take picture of Holly and me chasing rabbits!

Mind you when we got back, the men had all finished the drive and it looks dead smart!

OTL took a picture this morning as they were half way through laying the blocks, very clever the way they do it you know!

Pretty Pattern!
Then OTL had to write out the cheque and his eyes started to mist up and another tear was seen in the corner of the other eye!

OTL was not having a good day!

This afternoon he has been looking on eBay for low cost 'Point & Shoot' cameras but the ones that are 'Low Cost' look well used and likely to die and the ones that look good are so expensive that we reckon his Money Purse would have a heart attack if it was asked to shell out that sort of money!

Holly has suggested that OTL practises drawing with a pencil and paper, at least you won't be able to break the paper!

So, I wonder what he will do now? We will have to wait and see!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Sun Shine and Gardening!

Hello Woofers!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Yesterday Old Two Legs got a phone call from the people who are going to do our drive. They were supposed to arrive on Thursday but he said that he would be a day earlier!

That caused some hasty re arranging of things and the leisurely trip to the caravan place to leave the caravan for a service turned into an early morning wake up to get it off the front of the house before the men arrived with their big Digger!

So, instead of a trip to the beach with the ferrets, we got a quick trip around The Fields and back in time to make them their first cup of tea!

OTL had departed with the caravan and then the fun started!

They started off by playing at digging holes with the digger, and, you know what? They were shifting more earth than Holly or I could do!

A 'Hole Lot of Fun'!
Holly thought it was a great joke that on the side of the truck it mentioned 'Muck Away'!

They were steaming away and The Missus felt sorry for them and took some tea and biscuits to them.

Then she stood by the window watching them to make sure they didn't spend too much time on their 'Tea Break'!

TM said they weren't being paid to drink tea all day!

Tea Break Over!
It wasn't too long before OTL came back and went off to do some work in the office. Now, we're not spoil sports but Holly, the ferrets and me reckon we deserved a run out in the sun, so, I jumped up and shoved the back of OTL's chair and gave him the old 'Hairy Eyeball'!

He got the idea!

Down on the beach it was super! The sun was shining and the wind was gentle and everyone who saw us stopped to go Ooooo! and Arrrrr! and 'Wot Lovely Dogs' and 'Are They Ferrets'?

Holly and I had great fun tearing up and down the beach and Holly said she was going to 'Catch Some Rays' while the ferrets did some digging!

Well, it beats woofing at birds!
Mr Brambles dug several holes then wandered over to Holly to see what she thought of them.

Yeah, not bad considering!
I happened to mention that Mr Brambles is putting on weight and developing a big back end! He said that during the breeding season male ferrets put on weight and it is considered to be dead smart for a male ferret to have a big back end!

A Well Proportioned Male Ferret in his Prime!
I said that it was a good job Holly wasn't a ferret 'cos she had an enormous butt....................
................and that's when the fight started!

It didn't last long because it was too hot to fight and OTL told us to both 'Act our age'!

Enjoying the shady spots!
Back in the car the ferrets were pleased to get back in their traveling cage 'cos they have a water bottle full of water to drink!

Ladies first!
Poor of Mr Brambles got shoved to one side while Miss Snowflake was guzzling at the water but he did get his fill after she had finished!

'er! I got water dripping on my head!
Back home the men had almost finished laying the 'Foundations' to the drive and were packing up to go home. After they left a man in a High Viz Jacket came along and was sticking a metal pole into the water taps in the ground and listening to them by putting his ear to the other end. OTL said he was looking for drips and Holly said that he could find one in our house, and then she looked at me!

Looking for drips!

...................................................and that's when the next fight started!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!
