A Misty and Murky start to a Fun Filled Day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

The 'Heating Men' are back again to finish off the last bits of the new system. Old Two Legs has been trying to get to grips with the 'Wireless Control Module' but his fingers are too big for the control buttons and he keep pressing two or even three buttons at the same time!

Mind you, last night it was super warm in the house and the towel rail was almost glowing red with heat!

OTL now has a nice warm towel to dry his bald patch on his head!

We were out good and early 'cos the weather man said that it would be a 'Murky' start with rain at lunchtime, so, get out early and then we can have an early lunchtime walk before the wet stuff arrives!

We got down the beach to see that the birds had got there just as the tide was on it's way out and they will follow the tide all the way out!

Breakfast with some mates!
Today, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles stayed in the bag all the way down to the beach. OTL got them out and the first thing Snowflake did was to chase after the 'Slimy Wet Smelly Thing' under the sea weed. When she stuck her head out she found she was surrounded by water!

I bet it's deep, I know it will be deep, I'M GOING TO GET WET!!!!
 And she did!

We had a visit from young Dave who came bounding up the beach, shouted 'Hello' to the ferrets and then ran around us in a big circle!

Morning Holly!
We all joined in a game of 'Chase' and of course, I was the quickest but Dave was a little fasted than Holly, but she made it up on the corners, Holly's got a good 'Turning Speed'!

ZooooooooooooooooM!

Back home the 'Heating Men' were hard at work finishing off the system so tonight we will be almost 'Back to Normal'!

Lunchtime we went off delivering some stuff and OTL took us to The Forest! It was rather muddy there but the only one complaining was OTL, something about muddy paws on the seats!

Mind you, we didn't worry about that, not when there's loads of sniffs to be had!

A Little Sniff Here and a Little Sniff There!
We even found OTL another small fungi, in fact this one was so small that we weren't sure if he would even see it!

The big one is just a half an inch high, a really Mini Tiddly Fungi!
Of course, we went off hunting squirrels and this time we spotted three on the ground, so we chased them back up the tree again!

Holly did suggest that we should learn how to climb trees so we could chase those pesky squirrels but I don't think we would eve be fast enough to catch one!

Here be squirrels but I'm not climbing up there after them!
As we were ending our walk, we came across the Heeland Coo's munching away on the bracken and generally having a good time. They were in the bushes and minding their own business, except one!

She just sort of ambled along the path towards us. Holly and I gave a couple of woofs each, just to show we weren't scared and that she should get out of our way!

She just kept ambling along until she got within six feet of us, stopped and looked down her long nose and said...........

Your Move Woofers!

We got out of her way!

Brave we may be, stupid we ain't!

So, back home to find the house all warm and being cleaned up ready for the plasterer to arrive to make some more mess!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

All day in OTL's Office!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Well, the Heating Men were back today, and rather than let us loose on the bed again Old Two Legs decided that we could stay with him in his office. So, Holly and I have been snoozing under OTL's desk!

It was really a good idea of OTL to put us in there 'cos the workmen we making such a row with their electric drills and saws and other stuff, plus the banging and crashing noise they made lifting and putting down the floor boards!

OTL was there to tell us not to worry and we even snuggled up to him, on his lap, when the men made too much noise!

This morning first thing, the ferrets were getting all excited about getting out for a walk as they didn't go out yesterday, talk about going 'Stir Crazy'!

They were bouncing about all over the place and Miss Snowflake was 'Feeling' OTL's fingers with her teeth, not biting, just feeling, it's a sort of ferret 'Glad to see you' type of greeting!

Off we went to the beach but Holly and I spotted a couple of rabbits across the field from the car park and we were off like rockets!

It didn't help that Mr Brambles wanted to get out of the bag for a wee, so while he was on the ground, OTL was watching us disappear into the distance!

Miss Snowflake was in OTL's arm while Mr Brambles was scrabbling to get down for a run and we were being chased by OTL!

Such fun!

All this running around made the trip to the beach a bit longer than normal and Miss Snowflake was busting for a wee but didn't want to get down. So she gritted her teeth and hung on!

That was until Mr Brambles tried using her as a springboard to get out of OTL's grip and he stood on her head and then on her back and dug his claws in as well.

It was then she had a little accident, well, a big one really, and she wee'd all over OTL's arm and down the front of his coat!

Oops!

We finished our walk and headed back to the car park which backs onto the field where we saw the rabbits.

Holly and I were far enough away from OTL when we spotted some more!

Honest!

That was it, we were off like a flash!

OTL just carried on and walked the ferrets back to the car, dried them off using our towel and put them into the travelling cage.

Then he came after us!

Now, sometimes things just turn out for the best and we saw him kneel down and photograph a small fungi, that should have made him happy and he should forget how we have chased after rabbits?

A Tiddly Fungi for OTL.
Seems not.

He came stomping across the field and we could see he was not a 'Happy Puppy'!

You know, he don't look very happy does he?
We told him all about the thousands of rabbits we had chased and the fungi we had found for him and he clipped our leads on us!

Nah! It was your fault, you shouldn't have run off like that!
Well, it was fun while it lasted and we can always go back again!

As I type this, the heating men are still here bashing away and making such a noise but Holly and I are in the office, snoozing our tails off!

Life is good!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

OTL's Been Working!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back with you!

Didn't it rain last night and didn't it still rain this morning!

In fact it was so wet that Old Two Legs decided that it would be a good idea to leave the ferrets at home and possibly extend their 'Rampage' around the house to make up for it!

We headed off to the beach with our new rain coats on and met up with a Bozo who was all 'Woof and Tail' the last time we met him.

Just one step closer and you'll get it!

This time I was ready for him, as soon as he got too close I let of with a really loud woof and a growl!

That shut him up and he cleared off!

Down on the beach Holly and I played 'First to Blink' and had a super time rushing up and down the beach, even if it was raining!

First to Blink!
OTL was getting very wet 'cos his coat shows the rain more but it doesn't let any water in, instead it just drips off him, straight onto his trouser legs, and they let the water in and he ends up with soggy boots as well!

Holly had to agree with OTL, the rain was Yuk, in fact, anything to do with wet is Yuk as far as Holly Dog is concerned!

I don't care, it is still Yuk!

When we got back home the men had arrived to install the new heating system. We got locked in the bedroom so we didn't get under their feet while they were working. It was OK 'cos we got to have a good snooze on the bed and even have a dig under the pillows and the duvet!

Lunchtime OTL was off to play with the Dustbin Lorries again and The Missus took us for a run on the football field where she threw the ball for us to chase, that was until we spotted a cat, that's when we disappeared into the bushes for a good 'Cat Hunt'!

We lost the cat, seems like it knows it's way about the bushes better than us.

Still, there's always next time!

When OTL came back, both Holly and I were waiting at the window for him and he got a right royal 'Woof and a Lick' when he got in!

The heating men are back again tomorrow to finish off the system and although there is no hot water to wash in, OTL and TM will just have to have more showers 'cos that is the only source of heated water other than the kettle!

Just as long as they don't expect us to join them!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

I Love Sundays!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

We were up good and early this morning, you see we had to take The Missus down to The Cat Woman's place so they could go off to a class on making some crafty things.

So, Old Two Legs had to go in and wake the ferrets up to get them out early!

Mr Brambles took some time getting out of the hammock, where he loves to sleep, and Miss Snowflake was in a small carry bag that OTL had hung up in their cage. Now, ferrets need their front claws kept short by clipping them every few weeks and although they were done before our holiday, they were really due for another clipping. Miss Snowflake likes to scratch at the bars on the cage and sometimes 'Splits' the nail and gets some of her bedding caught up in it. This morning she had got a bit of the thread caught in it from the carry bag and was getting in a panic. OTL had to grab her, and then the bag to get them untangled!

A quick slurp of Ferretone and some work with the nail clippers soon sorted her out and we were then off to the beach!

OTL told Snowflake to 'Stamp her paws' on the sea shells to smooth her claws after having them trimmed!

I feel stupid running on the spot!

We had some fun chasing up and down the beach and Snowflake got fed up with 'Running on the Spot' and instead decided to show us some of her 'Camouflage Techniques'!

Bet you can't see me now!
Holly said that we couldn't hang about 'cos TM would be waiting for us, so it was a case of Best Paw Forward and head back home!

Come on! Best Paw Forward!
OTL was still messing about in the loft so we had a 'Snoozy Morning'.

Lunchtime we met up with a couple of woofers, one we knew called 'Princess' and her new mate called Bailey. Now Bailey is just eight months old and is a bit of a 'yapper', even worse than Holly!

His excuse is that he is a bit scared of new woofers and the fact that he is a Pomeranian Chihuahua Cross!

Yeah! Yappy or Wot!

You sniff nice!
He was OK really and I suppose it will just take time before he settles down!

We said 'Hello' to Princess who was more interested in having a swim but she did say hello to OTL, by rubbing her wet head against his leg!

We thought it was funny but as OTL said, he is used to 'Wet Doggy'!

I don't do 'Wet Doggy'!
Late afternoon TM was back and she had another sample from the Master Class!

Tomorrow OTL will be taking more stuff down the dump and if we are in luck, it could be the New Park for us!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Spiders the Size of Dinner Plates!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

What a day it has been today! First off we went for our morning walk but had to drop The Missus off at the Village Hall for her 'Master Class'. When we got to the beach the clouds looked very full of rain and even Old Two Legs told us to 'Get a Move On' before we all got wet!

It's Going To Rain!
Mr Brambles went behind some sea weed for a wee but then complained that we were all watching him!

I can't go if you're watching me!
We were on our way back when it started, but not too heavy just rather large drops of rain, the ferrets were getting a lick on running down the hill, so Holly and I did the same!

Back in the car we headed for home and about half way the rain really started, it just bucketed down!

It was a good job we had got back to the car in time or we may have been washed away!

After some breakfast we set about helping OTL get all the junk out of the loft. Both Holly and I were having a 'Snuffle' around all his gear and we were amazed at the number of spiders that had set up their 'Winter Quarters' up there.

We had great fun chasing them around until they scuttled away into the very dark bits of the loft!

There was loads of stuff that OTL said could be dumped and he had fun dropping it out of the loft door into a couple of big cardboard boxes!

Pretty soon it was time for our lunchtime walk and the rain clouds had gone and the sun was shining!

We hit the beach again and the first thing I did was to jump in!

I knew OTL wouldn't mind 'cos he had brought our Doggy Towel with him in the car, just in case I got wet!

Look! I'm a Surf Baby!
Holly, of course, stayed well away from the water, as you know, she just 'Don't Do Water'!

That didn't stop me!

I had great fun and I will admit to being a little naughty, you see, every time OTL threw the stick in the water I would go and fetch it and make sure I ran out of the water, just where Holly was sitting, trying to catch a few 'Rays'!

Come on Beach Butt!
Of course, she wasn't impressed and said that I was disturbing the birds who were flying by!

Keep in formation number five!
As if!

We let OTL carry on up in the loft while we had a snooze on the sofa and watched to pile of stuff get bigger and bigger. If he carries on this way there will be nothing left in the loft, except spiders!

TM came back from her 'Master Class' all full of beans 'cos her 'Girls' had done some stunning work following after TM had demonstrated some 'Background Technique'!

Sounds all technical to me!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly (The Dry One), Miss Snowflake and Mr 'Stop Looking' Brambles!

Getting accustomed to be back

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Well, last night we all had a good nights sleep, I mean, I didn't wake up at all and Holly was snoring her tail off for most of the night! The Missus was doing the same while Old Two Legs was on another planet, like, away with the Fairies!

We all over slept a bit, and that includes the ferrets as well. When OTL went in to say 'Good Morning' as he does, they were both still snuggled up in their sleeping bag with their eyes shut tight!

It was bright when we went out for our walk and Mr Brambles wanted to get out of the ferret bag as soon as we had got to the grassy path. Miss Snowflake followed him down but then decided that it was warmer in OTL's arms, so up she went again and snuggled down into OTL's arm where she later did a wee! She said that she was so comfortable that the thought of getting down for a wee would have spoilt the cuddle!

OTL was not happy with her doing that but did notice that it was a 'Small Wee!'

OTL got crafty and when we got to the beach, he got her out of the bag and put her near the muddy bit!

She was not happy!

This is YUK!
We spotted that there were two Wormy Men out on the mud digging for worms, it's good to see some things are still the same!

The Wormy Men Commeth!
Mr Brambles was having fun zooming up and down the 'Wall of Death' and calling out Zoom! Zoom! as he went past us!

That ferret really is potty sometimes!

Zoooooooooooooom!
Back home OTL was still working on the pile of paperwork but it looks like he is winning!

Lunchtime we were back down the Sea Wall again but OTL had a load of stuff to put into the car, so, he opens it up, tells us to get in while he puts the camera on the car roof so it is easier to pile the boxes into the back of the car. Having got all that sorted, off we go.

Now, our little village has narrow roads in it, so fast motoring is not the best idea and OTL is very careful as he drives along the roads. The road to the beach has a forty miles an hour limit with speed cameras all the way along it. OTL, not wishing to pay any fines, goes along at forty, spot on. When we get to the beach, us woofers are out the back door and off chasing the rabbits, OTL is in the back looking for his camera.

He can't find it!

He telephones home asking if he left the camera there, 'No' says TM, 'Oh Bother It' says OTL, or something that sounds like it!

Just then, one of the drivers who are sitting in their cars enjoying the sea view, comes over to OTL, 'Ere Mate' he says, 'You've left yer camera on the roof of your car'!

Who said it was better to be born lucky than rich?

OTL is a lucky lad!

Talking of being lucky, the tide was almost all in, so, quick as a flash, before OTL could say anything, I was in for a 'Deep Paddle'!

I haven't had one of these for ages!
Holly of course stayed perfectly dry 'cos she 'Doesn't do Wet'! To prove it, she stood still long enough for OTL to take her picture!

Looking Good is my Speciality!
After that, we were back home and I am pleased to say that OTL has almost finished with the paperwork, just a couple of bits needs to read, like the Business Banking Terms and Conditions changes that the bank has sent through.

Thick book, small writing!

Tomorrow TM is off to her 'Master Class' so OTL and us are going to clear some space in the loft 'cos next week we have a new central heating system going to be installed and our old system needs to be removed.

We have elected to go up in the loft to help OTL get rid of the rubbish and take it to the dump, all before TM comes home and starts saying things like, 'I wanted that!' even though she hasn't used it in thirty years!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Back Home with a Bump!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Well, last night I think we all slept very well, we were all so tired that it would have taken six 'Fireworks Nights' to wake us and even then it may be touch and go!

The Missus has been wearing out the washing machine today, it has been going non stop all day and the place looks like a Chinese Laundry with stuff hanging up all over the house!

The rain has been on and off all day and we keep hearing howls of despair every time TM notices the rain drops on the window!

Old Two Legs has been working his way down a big pile of paperwork and has been mumbling to himself all day!

We went out this morning and it was just after sunrise. Not as dramatic as we have seen on t'Moors, but it sort of had a 'Homely' look about it!

Our Home Sunrise
Mr Brambles said that although the moors were OK, the one thing he had missed was the feel of sand between his paws and the sniff of the sea!

This what I've missed!
Miss Snowflake on the other paw announced to everyone that she had not missed the sand or the sea in the slightest and in a flash had disappeared back into the ferret bag!

No, I have Not Missed it!
She refused to come out until OTL was off the beach and into the long grass where she feels most at home!

......are we off the beach yet?
We met up with some of the lads and told them all about our holiday and the fun on the moors and dales!

........and the Moors were much bigger than all the sea wall put together!
Lunchtime OTL had to go into town to deliver some stuff and afterwards he took us to The Forest, which was great 'cos we hadn't seen it for some time.

We investigated all the new sniffs and Holly said that although the moors were great fun, she had missed the trees.

You just don't get trees on t'Moors!

Trees are better than heather any day!
Of course, where there are trees, there are bound to be Squirrels!

We hunted High and Low and we saw some but they were high in the trees and wouldn't come down to hear all about our holiday. They said that any holiday without trees is boring!

Silly Squirrels!

Come on, come down for a chat!
Of course, really, the squirrels were too busy collecting nuts to store for the Winter time but I still had fun spotting them in the trees and doing my 'Pointer Stance' that Barney had taught me!

Is that a Squirrel I see before me?
Back home OTL was till working his way through the paperwork and a couple of times Miss Snowflake woke up and demanded to be let out of the cage for a ten minute 'Rampage' around the office!

So, off for some food now, OTL has got curry, so he is on his own as far as I'm concerned, mind you, Holly loves a bit of Nan Bread dipped in the sauce!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Home!!!!!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here in sunny North Kent!

Well, we were up sort of early this morning so we could get our morning walks all done and help Old Two Legs to pack up the last bits in the caravan.

The ferrets went off for a 'Swim' in the wet grass and had a super time snuffling and ferreting about in the fallen leaves!

We went up on t'Moor and was surprised top see Kofte & Shish Kebab waiting for us on to of the hillock!

Kofte & Shish
They said that Donner was away up on the moor but they had waited to say Bye Bye to us in good 'Northern Fashion'!

So it was, as they turned to go we heard one of them call back 'Eee-Up- Chuck!' and that was it, they had gone!

The Last Farewell!
We couldn't see too much 'cos there was still a lot of mist over the moor but with the sun trying to break through, it looked all 'Etherial'!

A touch of the 'Etherials' again!
As we got near to the end of the walk, the mist cleared a touch and we had a super view of the Dale, a very pleasant reminder of our holiday!

A Last Look at The Dale.
Back at the caravan, The Missus was waiting to 'Hit The Road' and even the ferrets were getting excited!

Off we went and we headed off home.

On the way there was sun shine, rain, Heavy Rain, Very Heavy Rain and Loads of Traffic!

Finally we made it and since five thirty we have been unloading the caravan and getting the ferrets sorted out and all the stuff put back in it's rightful place, well, almost!

Now we are just too tired to do any more, so it's off to bed about nine thirty for an early night and an early morning so that OTL can catch up with all the stuff that has piled up over the time we have been away!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Packing Up!

Eee-Up Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

Well, here we are again, the end of another holiday!

This morning we had to ask if we could go out for 'Walkies' first 'cos we missed out on our late night 'Wee' 'cos it was raining so much!

This morning the rain had stopped but it has left puddles the size of swimming pools!

On our walk, Old Two Legs spotted some bright red fungi, so, as normal, he just had to take a picture!

Little Bright Fungi

While he was playing, we were saying Bye Bye to Donna and all her mates.

Bye Bye Donna!
OTL said that it was bright sunshine, two thousand feet above is! You could just see the blue sky between the 'Low Flying Clouds!

Bye Bye t'Moors
It has been great fun up here and we have seen some things we haven't seen before but it will be good to get back home and see our mates along the Sea Wall and tell them all about our holiday!

Holly said that next time we should try The Dales but I fancy a new place in Scotland, maybe Harris in the Outer Hebrides, or what about Skye?

More decisions for next year!

See you all tomorow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Wet, Wet, Soaking Wet!

Eee-Up Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Wot a day it has been here in 'Sunny'? North Yorkshire!

It has been pouring down with rain today, in fact the site looks like a quagmire!

The ferrets went out for a run this morning and ended up swimming across the site!

Old Two Legs got our new coats out and tried to get us out for a long walk, in the rain, some hope!

He has just got to be joking!
We did go but we had a quick wee and then was dragging OTL back towards the car!

Back at the caravan the ferrets had got dry and were slurping away at their morning milk.

It's alright for them, warm milk and no damp tail!
I was not happy!

OTL did wrap me up in a dry towel and a warm blanket, so it wasn't so bad.

Mind you, I was getting a bit fed up with the slurping sounds those ferrets make!

No table manners, that's their problem!

Slurp, This is Good, Slurp, Innit?
We had some fun last night, OTL didn't fasten the ferrets cage roof door properly, so, in the middle of the night, when everyone was fast asleep, Miss Snowflake got out and went for a wander.

She found herself on The Missus's pillow, so, just to show how much she thinks of TM, Snowflake commenced to licking TM's ear!

Now, how many of you would have ended up on the ceiling?

No TM, she just picked up Snowflake and marched her back to the cage.

I mean, it's a lovely gesture by a ferret to give your ear a lick, it means she thinks you are a friend.

TM said that she wasn't going to lick Snowflakes ear in return, in fact, she has never even licked OTL's ear!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv (and Licks),

from

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.
