Another Ethereal Morning, Followed by a Soggy Afternoon!

Hello Woofers!

Guess who is here? Yep! It's Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles again!

Old Two Legs, in the morning, has a 'Routine' he follows that gets us all up and ready for our walk.

First, I wake him up with the old 'Licky Ear' trick, then he rolls out of bed, staggers to the office, just to see if the ferrets are awake yet and if they are he gives both a 'Tickley Scratch' on their necks and back.

Miss Snowflake just loves that and squirms about with delight! Mr Brambles has a sort of stretch and a yawn and wiggles his shoulders!

After that OTL is off for a shower, gets dressed and heads off to the kitchen to get his breakfast of 'Rabbit Food', Orange juice and a cup of tea. He also gets two bowls of Lactose Free Milk for the ferrets which he adds a table spoon full of warm water, just to take the edge off the cold milk.

Then, back up to the office to wake the computers up and have breakfast with the ferrets!

Both ferrets slurp all the milk down and if there is any left, Mr B finishes it off 'cos he's bit of a 'Guzzle Guts' as OTL calls him!

This is then followed with the 'Harnessing' of the ferrets and getting ready to go for our walks. That involves a 'Bribe' of a cap full of Ferretone and while they are slurping, OTL clips up the harness, sneaky or wot!

He has to wake Holly up, 'cos she doesn't Do Mornings' but I am waiting outside the office door 'cos I just love a lick of Ferretone as well, but I don't get it that often! Then we all head down stairs to find OTL's boots!

And after that, it's off to the beach!

This morning it was raining while OTL had breakfast but it cleared up by the time we left home.

OTL still brought our raincoats and a clean towel, just in case!

By the time we got to the beach the rain had gone and the sun was dancing behind the clouds.

Looks Like a Sunny Day!

Mind you, things can be deceiving and OTL played with that shot when he got home and turned this morning into an Ethereal Happening!

It's an Ethereal Morning!

Down on the beach we saw Sheila with Bonnie and Oscar the two Boarder Terriers who would just love to have ferrets for breakfast, that is why they are always on the lead when we get near to them!

Come on, they look juicy ferrets, just a little of the flank?

OTL kept an eye on them after he emptied the ferrets out of the bag!

Both ferrets had a quick wee and while OTL was looking at an odd looking pebble on the beach, (he does that quite often) both ferrets tried to get back in the bag again!

Get out, I was first in line!

It didn't work and both were emptied out, again, and they headed for the grassy bank!

Miss Snowflake, being the faster, caught up to Holly and me and we shared some new sniffs until she decided she wanted a wash, so she dived into the wet grass while Holly and I headed for the top of the hill! 

We all enjoy a sniff, except OTL!

 Back home it was chicken for us while the ferrets had their breakfast and OTL cleared the Poo Trays before getting down to some work.

We do like an 'Ordered Life'!

Like lunchtime.

OTL is working/playing in the office on his computers, I creep up behind him and give his chair a mighty great shove with my front paws!

That is the sign for 'I Wanna Walkies'!

So, off we all go. OTL, Holly and me, the ferrets are still asleep so they miss out on the lunchtime walk.

Today, we drove out of the village and it started, the rain.

The closer we got to the beach the wetter it got and by the time we got there OTL had decided to leave his hat and the camera in the car!

We got out and were trying to decide should we get back or try a few steps when OTL clipped our collars on and sort of half marched and half dragged us down the path.

The rain came down a bit heaver, we dragged our paws a bit more and OTL pulled on the lead a bit harder.

Then it really started to come down.

Holly and I both did the 'Head Down &All Legs Stiff in Front' trick which means 'No More'!

OTL gave up and we all scampered back to the car!

We like walks but there is a limit!

Back in the car we waited for a while to see if the rain would pass over us. While we were sitting there OTL told us tales of when I was a puppy and some of the antics I used to get up to. Like, getting in the bottom of the bed, under the duvet and making The Missus fall out of the bed in panic!

Holly thought that was a scream!

Fell Outta Bed? Oh No, That's a Scream!

Then there was the time when I was riding on OTL's shoulder while we were out bird watching and I fell asleep and wee'd myself, and OTL got a wet jacket all the way down to his trousers!

It was so embarrassing!

OTL said that he thinks he still has the photo of me sitting on his shoulder, before I fell asleep!

He Found It!

Then, just to get even, he found one of Holly, before I came to stay!

All together now......aaaaaaaaaaah!

Holly and I are going to have a look through OTL's old pictures, you know, Black & White, we may even find some of when he was a puppy!

Ha!

A Sudden Surprise For Miss Snowflake and Holly Pretends to be a Squirrel!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly,Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

Just for a change, no rain!

It was great being out without our raincoats, at least we could have a good run and jump about!

First of all we found a big pile of Whizz Bangs that had been Whizz Banged and then burnt, GOOD!

As Holly says..............

Not So Scary Now Are You!

Miss Snowflake was looking for a place to have a wee and decided that as the tide was right in, she would have a wee at the High Tide Mark.

This looks just right for a wee!

 The only problem was, she hadn't counted on the waves, you see, they were still sort of rushing up the beach as far as they could and some times the took a big, long, run up!

This feels safe enough!

Holly, Brambles and I just stood there wondering what she was doing, I mean, didn't she look behind her first?

It's Behind You!

As the wave came rushing up the beach we all called out together!

I have never seen a ferret move so fast!

She shot up the beach, just ahead of the wave which was running as fast as it could to catch her!

All she ended up with was a wet tail and soggy paw!

From then on, she stayed right up the beach and said that in future she would stick to holes in the sand!

OK, This is a safe place!

The Missus has cooked us some new stuff to eat. There is some Ox Heart mixed with carrots  and celery and something called Cous Cous!

Well, we both had a sniff and Holly, who we think has a 'Funny Tummy' after eating Rabbit Poo, said that she just couldn't even try it!

I had a sniff and was going to leave it as well when Old Two Legs got down on the floor, picked a bit of meat out and offered it to me.

Well, I don't like disappointing him, so I took a bit and chewed it. It didn't taste too bad but the Cous Cous was very bland and sort of took away the flavour of the meat!

He offered me a couple of bits more and I sort of shovelled them down but really, meat covered in wet sawdust, really not my thing!

We both left it and retired to bed for a snooze!

Lunchtime we went out and headed into town. OTL's big car was 'Running on Fumes' and he needed to take out a small mortgage to fill the tank up again!

After that we went down to The Forest!

OTL said he was 'After some Fungi' Holly said she was after some grass and I just wanted a squirrel for tea!

OTL was having more luck finding his fungi than I was hunting Squirrel!

We had just got through the first gate when he was on his knees clicking away!

Then blow me down, we got moving again and I looked around the find out where he was and nothing!

He had disappeared into the bracken 'cos he had spotted another!

Then a bit further on he jumped into the woods again and was snapping away as though his life depended on it!

Yeah, OK, it's a nice picture, but it's not a Squirrel!

Holly said she was getting a bit fed up with me going on about squirrels, so, she climbed up into a tree and said that she was changing into a squirrel, just for me!

 I said it was very kind of her but she just didn't have the tail to be a squirrel!

Holly said that sometimes there was no pleasing some woofers!

OTL was still crawling around the fallen trees and saying that the fungi was getting very colourful!

Yeah! Right!

OK, Getting colourful but not fully there yet!

Then it happened, there was a flash of grey and a little squirrel went crashing through the leaves and straight up a tree!

And that was before we could even start to chase it!

Wassat a Squirrel?

We never saw another one!

So much for Roast Squirrel for dinner!

Holly and I are going to try picking the meat out from the Cous Cous and other stuff in the bowl but as Holly says, 'She doesn't do green food, unless it's grass'!

It's a Yucky Day Today!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

Wot a day! We were woken up in the early hours with The Missus switching lights on and off plus banging pot and pans about in the kitchen!

Even the ferrets  said they were woken up as well!

We dropped TM off at The Cat Woman's house 'cos TM was out playing 'Glue & Glitter' and was going to meet Archie Babe's mum as well!

We got down to the beach and Old Two Legs said we had to 'Get in line'!

Wot?

Get in line with the tower.

Why?

The Light, Look at the light!

So!

Both ferrets said they needed a wee, so OTL put them down on the beach and they both ran to the waters edge.

Mr Brambles said he always enjoyed wee'ing in the water 'cos it 'Tinkled'!

What ever turns you on Brambles Babe!

There is nothing like a good tinkle!

Then it started to rain, so, back home for some food.

TM had just said that our food was, 'In the Kitchen' but when we all went in there all there was on the work top was a tin of Doggy Scoff!

Right! No cuddles for her tonight!

Lunchtime we were out again, hoping for a 'Dry Walk' but guess what? It was raining and that means it was a quick run and a wee before heading back to the car.

Mind you, we did come across a few interesting sniff!

Back home we helped OTL eat some lunch and settled down to watch the rugby, we lost!

Not sure what OTL has planned for dinner tonight but we are hoping it is 'Mugable'!

Do we look The Business or Wot?

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

This morning we were up early, in fact Holly and I were up about four fifteen, Holly decided to go down stairs and spend some time on the sofa while I gave Old Two Legs a lick behind the ear then cuddled up to him and went back to sleep!

The Missus got up early to get her stuff packed ready for her day at the village 'Glue & Glitter Bash'!

Holly said that she makes too much noise, so as soon as she started crashing about, Holly legged it back up OTL's bed!

We got OTL up earlier 'cos we had to take TM to the hall and then we needed to get our walk in before heading off to the Poodle Parlour!

It was spitting with rain and OTL had brought our rain coats with us so we were well protected.

Unlike the Ferrets!

They stayed in the Ferret Bag until OTL emptied them out on the beach.

Miss Snowflake headed for the rocks and tried skipping from one rock to the other, until.......

Oh No! Not again!

 Mr Brambles stayed away from the water and spent some time digging a ditch in the sand!

He said that he had heard that pirates buried treasure on the beach and he was looking for some!

 After a while Snowflake got back onto the rocks again and was looking around for the 'Slimy Wet Thing' but we reckon it was hiding to get out of the rain!

No, can't see anything!

 Then Miss Snowflake decided that enough was enough and decided that she would rather be back in the bag again!

So, back went Snowflake and she stayed there until we got off the beach and into the grass.

Come on OTL, I want back in!

Back to the car for a towel down and then off to the Poodle Parlour.

Well, we both got washed, blow dried, clipped, shaved and squirted with smelly stuff!

When OTL came to pick us up at two thirty we were good and ready to get out of there!

The only trouble was, yep, you guessed, it was raining!

So, on with our rain coats again and of course, we couldn't show off our new hair cuts but at least it was better than getting too wet!

It's a Daisy Dog!

 Holly was all full of it 'cos she could see now the hair had been cut away from over her eyes!

 Back home OTL cooked up our Lambs Heart, all juicy bits with mixer biscuits and a drizzle of gravy over the meat and biscuit, it was Lovely!

So, claws crossed for a dry day tomorrow so we can show off our hair cut to all the lads!

Wet Wet Wet Wet and just for a change, WET!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again, and we got wet!

Old Two Legs got wet as well!

We left home this morning looking forward to a walk on the beach and a game of 'Chase' or 'Hunt The Ferret' but when we got down there the ferrets stayed inside the bag and it was only Holly who got chased by Big Freddy who is always up for a game!

OTL left the camera in the car 'cos it was raining and he didn't want to get it wet, so we don't have any photo's of Big Freddy!

We were given a good rub down back in the car and also when we got home. Then, Holly and I did our 'Snoozy' bit on the bed!

 And there, at the bottom of the bed was.....................

We got woken up a bit later 'cos OTL had prepared the chicken for us, all warm and greasy!

After we had finished that, we got a 'Teeth Cleaning Chew' each and settled down for another snooze before we went out for the lunchtime stroll!

What a difference! The sun came out, there was blue sky's and it was quite warm!

........you wouldn't believe it's half way through November!

 Holly and I had a game of 'Chase' on the beach and I said I would give her a five yard start!

OK, here I come!

 It was great fun dashing up and down the beach and of course, I always caught Holly but we were both laughing and woofing 'cos it was a lot more fun than the morning run!

Then we had an idea, we would give OTL a ten yard start!

I think we should have given him a twenty yard start!

Of course, we caught him up in no time but it was still fun!

Back home for a snooze before dinner and for OTL to finish off today's work load and get ready for the weekend.

Tomorrow morning we have an appointment with the Poodle Parlour! So tomorrow we will all super smelly and looking good!

A Grey Day in Autumn!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

I don't know about you but we can definitely feel a chill in the air, a sure sign that Autumn has arrived! The leaves are all falling off the trees and birds we saw all summer have headed south for the Winter!

We spotted some Brent Geese on the mud a week or two ago and they are a sure sign the seasons are changing!

The Dragonfly's have all disappeared and we haven't seen a Bumble Bee for two weeks!

Miss Snowflake reckons that ferrets should really hibernate like a Hedgehog but the thought of snoozing in damp leaves has put her off, instead she prefers a warm blanket in Snowy Heights!

Just like normal!

We were up late this morning 'cos Old Two Legs overslept a bit and I must admit, so did Holly and I!

The ferrets were up at sunrise and were waiting for OTL to bring them their morning bowl of Lactose Free Milk!

Out on the beach, Miss Snowflake had a wander around the sea weed again and found herself on top of a rock, surrounded by water, again!

Err! I think I'm in trouble again!

 It took Mr Brambles to coax her off the rock without falling into the water!

Holly and I got fed up with waiting and had a game on the beach. I dug a hole and Holly hunted around for a tree to plant!

Trouble was, we couldn't agree on how to plant it, and so, we ended up in a fight, trying to get the tree from each other and it broke in half!

Come on, hurry up it's roots are getting cold!

By then the ferrets were heading towards the grass for their morning wash and we followed them up the steps.

Come along Dear, almost there!

It's fun watching them go swimming in the grass and OTL doesn't even tell them off! Not like when we do it! When we do it OTL calls it 'Rolling in Something Mucky'!

Once we got onto the top path, we heard 'Helloooo Girlie's!'

It was Barney out for his morning walk. When he got to us he said Hello to Mr Brambles and Miss Snowflake as well, then headed back to find his ball!

Then it was back home to a nice warm bed and a bowl of Lambs Heart followed by a gentle snooze on OTL's bed!

Lunchtime it was back to the beach again 'cos OTL said it would be too muddy down The Forest, he is such a spoilsport!

Still, we had some fun running along the beach and up and down the steps, well, it keeps us fit!

Come on, OTL's right behind us!

 OTL was puffing and blowing trying to keep up with us, great fun!

Keep going, we're gaining on him!

When we got around the corner the wind really picked up and it was so strong it blew OTL's hat off, twice!

While we were galloping along The Sea Wall, he had to run back to get his hat before it blew into the sea!

Holly said he needs an elastic band over his hat and then under his chin to keep it on!

Looks like it could be rain tomorrow, so it will be rain coats and a short walk!

Another trip to The Forest!

Hi Woofers!

How's your day been? Let me tell you about the day we have had!

It's the Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles show!

Last night it was cuddles for Holly, in fact she went hunting Old Two Legs and insisted she got a cuddle on his seat with OTL and stayed there almost all evening. I think that she finally moved only because she was getting too hot!

At least there were no Whizz Bands but every time The Missus dropped anything up in her store room Holly thought it was a Whizz Bang and gave a little jump!

This morning we headed off to The Beach and spotted a rabbit on the path, so we gave chase!

Lucky rabbit, he got away!

Quick he's just around the corner!

 Down on the beach the sun was playing around with the clouds, as normal and all OTL had to do was wait for a sun beam!

Both ferrets were emptied out of the bag and Miss Snowflake did a lap around the beach, in reverse!

OTL said she was 'Moon Dancing'!

I was more interested in digging a new  hole and when Holly asked what I was digging, I said that it was just a 'Hole Lotta Fun'!

 Miss Snowflake sneaked back into the bag but was getting a bit desperate 'cos she wanted a wee!

Are we off the beach yet?

Back home both ferrets had some fun chasing each other around the house and pretty soon they were both worn out!

So, it was back into Snowy Heights for a snooze and as OTL says, 'No One Sleeps Like a Ferret'

Sleeping as only a ferret can!

We left them to it and headed off to the sofa to snooze the morning away while OTL was working in the office.

About lunch time he had a delivery to make so off we went, leaving the ferrets still asleep!

We ended up in The Forest and just for a change, instead of walking around anti clockwise, as we normally do. OTL took us clockwise and you know, it was like walking through a new forest!

Of course we were squirrel hunting while OTL was Fungi Hunting!

 OTL was telling us that the Fungi is a way of getting the seeds spread about and the trees had their way of getting seeds spread about as well. We found a tree seed and a fungi and OTL took a picture!

 Holly and I had fun running through the leaves, that was until we ran into a muddy patch!

Three more steps and Squelch!

 It was after that we kept off the main path and tried to keep to the tree trunks but there were times when we landed in the mud again!

Watch out for the muddy bits!

Back home we got a bit of a wash on our paws and OTL had to take his boots off before coming through the front door. If he hadn't, he would have been in deep poo!

So, tonight Holly says that she will need another cuddle, just to make sure there are no more Whizz Bangs and anyway, she like a cuddle with OTL!

We've Been 'Home Alone'!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Last night Holly was getting a bit twitchy 'cos she was expecting some more of those Whizz Bangs to be let off. So, she got prepared by jumping up onto Old Two Legs lap and cuddling up to him!

We were both listening but didn't hear anything! I said it would be possible that they have all finished but Holly wasn't too sure, so it looks like OTL will get another cuddle tonight!

The sun was out this morning and we enjoyed a good run down on the beach. OTL put the ferrets down at the rock pools and we both watched Snowflake have a scramble while looking for the 'Slimy Smelly Thing that hides under the sea weed!

Mr Brambles was more interested in having a dig on the beach, so he left her to it!

Oh Dear! I'm All Behind today!

 It was all OK until we heard a splashing sound and saw that Snowflake had  slipped off the rock and landed, butt first, in a rock pool!

She was not a happy ferret!

Oh Bother!

Back in the car she got a rub down with our Doggy Towel and was all nice and dry in no time!

OTL took us back home and after cleaning the ferret cage, chasing the ferrets around in a game of 'Hunt The Ferret' he then grabbed his coat and left us!

I mean, he said 'Bye Bye' went down stairs and you know what? The Missus followed him out the door as well!

Seems like they had a list of 'Things to Do' that were going to take some time!

Holly and I decided that as they had left us, we would stretch out on their bed and snooze the day away until they came back!

That'll teach them!

You know, it wasn't until mid afternoon that they returned! Of course, the first thing OTL did was to take us out for our 'LATE'  lunchtime walk which was really a late afternoon walk!

Now it is getting dark, Holly has got a bit nervous again regarding the Whizz Bangs and has woofed at OTL to let her sit on his lap!

I think it's going to be another 'Cuddly Night'!
