Three Walks and a North East Wind!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here on a very cold day!

You could tell it was cold, Old Two Legs had to put his hood up over his hat!

Holly said that it was because there was a North East wind blowing in off the sea!

Both ferrets weren't too happy about being out of the Ferret Bag and when I asked Snowflake if she wanted to share a hole I had dug, she told me to 'Keep Over My Side' and all 'cos the sand was flying all over the place!

That's Your Side!
We saw Mrs Corvid trying to break into a limpet shell by flying up high and dropping it onto The Sea Wall. After a while he managed it but said that it was a lot of work for just one little cockle!

OK, Bombs Away!
Holly was nowhere to be seen, she was too cold to hang about and she had legged it back to the car!

The ferrets and I thought it was a very good idea, so we legged it back as well!

Lunchtime we were down The Sea Wall again and were surprised to see a fisherman on the beach. Mind you, he wasn't sitting on the cold wet stones! When we got to where he was you could see that he was cold and Holly reckons that he will be back in his car before we got back!

Too cold to hang around!
After we got to the car we instructed OTL to turn on the heater and in no time we were warm again.

Next stop was the carriers to drop off a parcel and then on to do some deliveries of our own. After that we stopped at the Riverside Park, it was cold there as well!

The wind was blowing in off the estuary and it seemed just as cold as it was on The Sea Wall!

We did see some Quackers and even they looked cold!

Cold Quackers!
We went up to the end of Horrid Hill and as we started to go around the corner we got the full force of the North East Wind!

White Horses on The Sea!
Holly called back to OTL asking if she could go in for a swim!

I think OTL knew she was joking!

Shall we all have a swim?
At the end of Horrid Hill, the wind was blowing the waves into the wall and the water was breaking over the top of the wall. Not big waves but enough to make you wet if you got caught!

Splosh!
On the way back we came up behind an old Two Legs who kept stopping and looking around. Holly said she reckons he has lost his way and was wondering if he should go in for a swim!

Holly can be pretty daft sometimes!

Swim? He hasn't even got his towel with him!
Back home again and off to the cushion under OTL's desk, all lovely and warm, just the thing on a day like today!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

OTL Nearly Looses His Lens Hood!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Well, what a day!

We were up early this morning, not that we wanted to be woken up early, but, The Missus was making so much noise with the jet engined vacuum cleaner it's a wonder how the whole village wasn't up in arms about it!

Down on the beach the ferrets were not too happy about the cold wind blowing and were soon trying to dig holes in the grass to get away from the North Wind!

Mind you, it did blow away the clouds, well, most of them and it also cleared up the air condition so we could see the windmills planted in the sea off Herne Bay!

Loads of Windmills!
On our way down to The Beach, something terrible happened, Old Two Legs was walking along with his camera tucked under his arm while he was struggling to put his gloves on, he managed to drop his Lens Hood!

He didn't know he had dropped it!

Holly and I spotted it on the grass as OTL was marching off ahead of us.

Holly woofed but OTL didn't take any notice and off he went striding along the path. That was until he went to take a picture and he spotted that there was something missing!

Back he went and about five minutes later he appeared with the Lens Hood firmly screwed onto the lens!

Well, are you going to tell him?
We met up with the Curlew in his normal hunting spot, looking for breakfast, as normal!

I think I would like to try Doggy Scoff!
The ferrets were heading for home as quickly as they could, they didn't like the North Wind, just like us!

When we got back who should turn up but Auntie Chris who was visiting to play at some Glue & Glitter slapping with TM!

There was so much stuff flying about that Holly and I headed up stairs to OTL's office and climbed onto our cushions.

Glue & Glitter Slapping is Us!
OTL has been busy today and we had to give him a serious woofing to get him to go for our lunchtime walk. It was great that Auntie Chris came with us as well.

TM stayed at home and said that she was 'Too Busy' to go walkies!

'Too Much Glue Slapping' we called it!

It's Friday tomorrow! The weekend starts then! OTL says that we may go down to the Riverside Park 'cos he has some deliveries to do!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Back to Doggy Scoff Again!

Hello Woofers!

The Gangs back! Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

It is still cold out, but today we didn't bother with our coats and you know what? It wasn't really cold, just a bit nippy!

No Frost, No Snow, No Ice............must be Spring!
Holly keeps on about Spring, I think she really just wants to see the flowers again!

Down on The Beach, Snowflake was winding up Old Two Legs, she was saying that she had just got very afraid of heights and wanted him to pick her off the rock 'cos she was afraid she would fall!

OTL wasn't going to fall for that one! As soon as he would have picked her up then she would make a dash for the Ferret Bag!

I don't care, it still looks a long way down!
Mind you, she showed a real sneaky move on the way back. When we got to the steps, she told Brambles to stand very still 'cos there was a Big Nargle at the top of the stairs and only she was licensed to chase it away!

Then, quick as a flash, she used Brambles as a stepping stone and shot up to the top stair!

That's it, stay just there!
Mr Brambles was asking where the Nargle was and couldn't understand why Snowflake was laughing at him!

Lunchtime the tide was right in and there were a couple of fishermen there sitting on the stones waiting for the worms to swim out.

Holly reckons that if they spend too much time sitting on the cold wet stones, they'll end up with frozen tails!

Soppy TL with cold tails!
We got 'Buzzed' by a Black Headed Gull who was looking for food and even had the cheek to ask Holly if she had any food!

I mean, can you see Holly giving away food?

No, neither can I!

Got any food Woofers?

That was it, back home to a nice warm cushion under OTL's desk and a snooze until the ferrets wake us up with their scrabbling around the cage!

Food was mediocre, Posh Scoff again, I've had a nibble but will keep it for later tonight after I've mugged OTL!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

The Snow Fairy Zoomed Past This Morning!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here.

Well, early this morning The Snow Fairy arrived! Holly and I were getting all excited about rolling in the snow and getting big snowballs caught up in our fur like wot we did when we were very small puppies!

Out the front door there was just a small dusting of snow, not deep enough to make our paws wet, but we were expecting big drifts of it when we got to the beach!

We were disappointment,  there was hardly enough to make a paw print in!

I was expecting more than this!
By the time we got down to The Beach the snow was melting away!

This was not fair!

Come on, Hurry before it all goes!
I managed to get onto the beach while Old Two Legs was disposing of a full Poo Bag!

I manage to get a little roll, not really enough to get into trouble!

You're going to be in trouble!
The ferrets weren't impressed either, Miss Snowflake said it was warmer cuddling a lump of sea weed!

This Sea Weed is warmer than the sand!
Mr Brambles wasn't too happy about the sand either and just stood there shivering. OTL took pity on him and gave him a cuddle, until we all got onto the grass path!

I really do need a cuddle!
Up on the grass path Brambles was laughing at us getting so excited about the snow, he said he had seen more white stuff when his brother got a case of dandruff in his tail!

Holly was not impressed!

Call this snow?
That was it, back home and curl up on our cushions for a snooze!

We had Auntie Chris visit us today, well OTL went over and picked her up and she spent most of the day with The Missus chatting about loads of things from curtains to the place where they both used to work!

Lunchtime came and we were off again but The Snow Fairy had gone all together and all there were left, were puddles of mud!

Mind you, it wasn't very exciting, I suppose the only exciting thing to happen was when the wave crashed onto the Sea Wall, I thought that Holly might have got wet but even that didn't happen!

Just look at that big wave.........Yawn!
Mind you, we did do some sniffing and we found a particularly interesting sniff.

Normally if we spend too long on a sniff, OTL tells us to 'Leave it Alone' but Holly assured me that this time he wouldn't say anything to us!

It's OK, he can't see us, well, I can't see him!

Back home to a bowl of Posh Scoff but we've had so much of that lately we've got rather bored with it! Still, if there's nothing exciting to mug tonight, we may have to eat it, but only as a 'Last Resort'!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

OTL sorts it out!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

This morning it was Freezing!

The car temperature gauge showed two degrees below freezing and that didn't take into count the 'Wind Chill Factor'!

We knew it was going to be cold 'cos Old Two Legs made us put on out 'Flying Jackets', which is a sign that it's going to be cold rather than wet!

So, Holly and I sat there, thinking about a nice warm bed!

I think I'd rather be in bed!
When we got to the Grass Path, the big puddle of water was so cold that it was covered in ice!

I mean, we couldn't even have a little drink as we normally do!

No Drinkies Here!
Down on The Beach, both ferrets reckon they should really be back in the warm Ferret Bag 'cos they had both got out to have a wee on the way down and that should count towards a carry on the way back!

That bag looks so inviting!
Snowflake found some Sea Weed on the beach and once you were out of the wind and tucked up underneath it was rather warm!

It's warm under here!
OTL didn't think so but he did relent when a woofer started to let off on the other side of the hill and scared Miss Snowflake, so, she got a reassuring cuddle and a carry for a little while, but without the sea weed!

I was busy having a roll in a sniff I found yesterday!

You can't beat a good roll in something sniffy!
Back home to a large bowl of Lambs Heart and off for a snooze under OTL's desk!

Lunchtime it had warmed up a bit, so we didn't bother with our coats. Along The Sea Wall we spotted a couple of Spaniels chasing a ball which was OK until, the ball bounced into the water!

Now, I like a swim, but in this weather?

You're on your own Bozos!

Bozo's
Talking of Bozo's, we were busy sniffing the sniffs when up bounds Rosie, she is all of five years old and behaves like a silly puppy!

She was all over OTL 'cos she loves him!

OTL's Wonderful!
We think she is a Soppy Bozo but anyone who likes OTL can't be all bad!

On the way back home OTL spotted a couple of foxes in the field next to the road and quick as a flash he pulled into a parking area and grabbed his camera. The dog fox legged it leaving the vixen to give OTL the old 'Hairy Eyeball' but he managed to get this shot before she dived into the reed bed!

I don't do Two Legs!
So, back home for a pre dinner snooze!

Still no Snow Fairy, just the Frost Wizard!

Keep warm!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

A Day Without OTL.

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Well, what can I say? Old Two Legs was up all early today and in the shower long before his normal time. We know he has things planned for today that will not include any of us left at home!

He is off to his photographic AGM meeting and then a load of other stuff to do with photography.

The Missus had been instructed to make sure we got our walks along The Sea Wall and we were supposed to be allowed to chase a rabbit or two, if we found any!

The ferrets were not so lucky, they had to make do with a rampage around the house while OTL cleared out the poo trays and changed all the water bottles and water bowl.

Mr Brambles made the most of that time and was downstairs in a flash, looking for food! He was out of luck 'cos out chicken hadn't been cooked yet and all he could find was the 'Nodules' we get left in our 'Over Night Bowl', just in case of emergencies!

He didn't even bother to get one out and instead went off looking for somewhere to have a poo! Unfortunately, OTL came down stairs and spotted his 'Poo Dance', recognised it for what it was, picked him up and rushed him back to the clean Poo Pot.

Mr Brambles duly obliged and did the first poo in the clean pot, then he ran down stairs again to look for food!

Miss Snowflake bounded down stairs and proceeded to chase him around the lounge and kitchen then back up stairs again and under the bed. That was OK 'cos Holly and I were on top trying to catch up with out night time snoozes!

When we left for our walk, OTL cam out at the same time and just for a moment we forgot he was leaving us, so, Holly and I stopped, turned around and ran back to say Bye Bye!

Down on the grass path we came across a big Bozo Woofer and being me, I made a detour down onto the lower path while Holly had the job of giving him the 'Grumblies' when the Bozo got too close to TM!

The trouble is, TM can't read the woofers like OTL can and wasn't too sure how to deal with strange woofers.

Holly sorted him out and I'm sure she got an extra lump of chicken for being so brave!

Still no sign of the Snow Fairy but Holly and I had a roll in a frozen sniff we found, that was until TM rushed up and called us 'Smelly Nellie's!'

We are expecting OTL home soon, so, off we go to wait by the front door for him to try to sneak in, fat chance!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We have seen the Snow Fairy!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Guess what? We saw the Snow Fairy today!  Not for long but she really did pass over us! There were whopping big flakes of snow but when they landed on the ground they all turned to water!

This morning there was just a small Red Dawn and Snowflake said that it was a case of 'Red Sky in the Morning, Ferrets Warning'!

Which means that it will Rain/Snow/Flood/or Something Else and we won't like it!

What ever it is it's going to be bad!

A Ferrets Warning!
Holly and I didn't take too much notice 'cos we decided to have a super fast chase around the beach. It started off with me having a roll in something really smelly on the sand!

Yes, Yes, YES!
Then Holly started to chase me but as normal, I was too fast for her!

Slow Down I want to Catch You!
Old Two Legs was having fun trying to catch me speeding along but I was almost too fast for him!

A Super Fast Speeding Daisy Dog!
We met up with that Bozo Sheep Dog Type of Puppy! He was still fascinated by OTL and his camera and the fact that he could see himself in the lens!

Look! Look! I can see me!
I mean, what a potty puppy!

When we got home there was a bowl full of Old Doggy Scoff waiting for us,
YUK! YUK ! YUK! YUK! YUK! YUK! YUK! YUK!YUK!YUK!YUK!YUK!YUK!YUK!YUK!YUK!YUK!YUK!YUK!YUK!YUK!YUK!
YUK!YUK!YUK!YUK!YUK!YUK!YUK!YUK!YUK!YUK!

YUK!

And one more, YUK!

It wasn't too long before The Cat Woman turned up to play 'Glue Slapping' with The Missus. The pair of them spent most of the day giggling and sloshing the Glue & Glitter all over the place!

A Right Pair Of Messy Crafters they are!

OTL has been working hard on the computer and the printer today, trying to get some pictures printed but some of the Nozzles in the printer look like they are bunged up with sticky ink, so you can imagine what he has been saying today!

He is off tomorrow early in the morning, so, TM will be taking us for our morning stroll.

She says that the ferrets will have to go without a walk 'cos there is no way she is walking along with two ferrets on a lead!

No sense of adventure, that's her problem!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Almost, but not quite!

Hi Woofers!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Once again we have been disappointed!

Holly was looking at the weather forecast last night and said we should be expecting  snow drifts the size of houses and all the roads would be like skating rinks!

Well, it was a chilly wind and certainly it was cold, here in North Kent, but across the Thames what did we see?

Sunshine!

How come they get the sun?
I mean, it wasn't on. There we are, freezing and Southend on Sea gets balmy breezes and a heat wave!

Holly just couldn't believe what she was seeing and what was worse, she could sniff food on the wind!

I sniff Fish & Chips!
She stood there sniffing the wind and at one point she said there was something else on the wind!

It's a Breakfast Kebab as well!
Poor Holly, she had come out without any breakfast and her tummy was grumbling 'cos it needed filling!

I was on the beach and I made a discovery, snow!

OK, I know it wasn't tons of the stuff but it was definitely snow!

I had a little jump around it and the stuck my nose right in it and came out with frozen sand on my nose as well as snow!

Look! It IS Snow!
Back home to a snooze after some fresh Lambs Heart, then, while Holly was settling down to a snooze, Old Two Legs tried sneaking out of the front door with all the connectors and leads. He was off to deliver them and there was no way he was going on his own!

Leaving Holly snoring her tail off, I headed off with OTL.

It was fun driving down the motorway, singing our driving song and woofing at the trucks as we passed them!

Lunchtime the sun had gone, not even Essex was blessed with one sunbeam!

OTL was playing about with some Black & White shots of the breakwaters.

Well, he had to do something to take his mind off the grey sky!

Not even a Turnstone!
So that's it for today, OTL will be playing with his pictures tonight and tomorrow 'cos he is off to a meeting on Sunday and he wants to show his pictures and get some advice.

Holly reckons he should just go back to the 'Instruction Manual' and read it instead of just looking at the pictures!

See you tomorrow and with a bit of luck, we may get some snow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Sno Snow Fairy Yet!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

I don't know about where you live but here in North Kent we have had sunshine and blue sky's!

Holly and I woke up this morning expecting to see the Snow Fairy but were disappointed when we looked out of the window, just a very mild frost!

Even the ferrets got out of their Ferret Bag and went for a wander along the grass path before they got back in and let Old Two Legs carry them down to the beach!

Of course, Miss Snowflake said that it was cold but bearable once she was out of the wind!

Yeah, Not Bad Here Either!
Mr Brambles headed for the Sea Wall and challenged Snowflake to a race up the stairs. Mind you, he was a couple of yards in front when he said it!

Beat Ya!
Sneaky Ferret or Wot!

Back home it Lambs Heart and a snooze but I got a bit bored around eleven and decided I wanted another walk, so, I did what I always do, I jumped up and gave OTL's chair a good shove!

Now, he was trying to work on some very small connectors and could hardly see the hole where the wire should go, so, having me shoving him on the back was not on!

He got the message and off we went!

As it was still sunny, Holly asked when the Snow Fairy would be arriving, but OTL didn't really know and all he would say was....soon!

Look! Sunshine!
Down on the mud we spotted a few Turnstone plonking around in the mud looking for some stones to turn!

Gissa Stone?
Of course, after that we went home and let OTL finish off the connectors.

That left us without a walk at our normal time but we had a snooze to get over the walk, just like normal, that was until three thirty when I got that 'I wanna Walk' feeling. So, off I went to the back of OTL's chair and .............................I gave it another big shove!

Yep! He got the message and so, at five fifteen, we have just come back from another walk along the Sea Wall and down on the beach!

Still no snow, but the clouds were very dark and we were sure we could see snow falling from them, but not onto us!

Maybe tomorrow!

We're off now to do some mugging!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Windy & Cold and OTL spends the afternoon on his back!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

Well, today has bee fun, sort of!

Old Two Legs has been working on one of the most boring jobs he has to do, making up cables with connectors on each end. He sort of goes into a trance and he never hears anything we say to him!

Mind you, we got him out this morning for a walk and the wind and rain made it terribly cold!

The wind was so cold that it chilled all the sniffs down so we couldn't enjoy them!

These Sniffs are just Too Cold to enjoy!

Walking along the top grass path Holly was asking if we had to go onto the beach and could we turn around and go home now!

Do we have to go onto the beach?
OTL was having none of that and pretty soon we were at the beach steps and yes, Holly was still moaning!

I don't care what you say, I'm not playing sandcastles on the beach!

Miss snowflake managed to hide behind a stone and said that the wind was getting everywhere!

It get right up your fur you know!
There were a couple of Curlew out on the mud and Mr Brambles shouted out 'Good Morning' to which they both called back a Good Morning an advised us to get indoors 'cos there is some nasty cold weather heading this way!

It's going to be cold, wet & windy!
Holly said that it was good advice and could we go home now!

The ferrets by now had got into the grass and they said it was a lot warmer there than on the beach!

This is better!
Holly said that her nice warm cushion was even warmer and more inviting than a patch of soggy wet grass!

Back we went and OTL carried on working away all morning. After our lunchtime dash along the Sea Wall, (It was still very windy and cold!) OTL decided to install some new computer cables to his office system. I was thrown out of my nice warm spot under his desk, Holly got fed up with the turmoil and headed off down stairs!

OTL was on his back under the desk knocking cable clips to the underside of the desk to hold the cables.

Now, OTL tells me that its hard to bang the nail in when you are on your back, in the dark, using black cable clips and if you are suffering from a cataract!

We found out just how difficult it was 'cos he hit his finger with the hammer instead of the nail  and not only did he say 'Ouch'! but where he hit it, it started to bleed!

Poor OTL, he hasn't done that for years!

So, nursing a painful finger with some plaster wrapped around it, he went back to the cables and connectors again!

He says it's safer!

I must say, I a agree with him!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.
