Busy Day Today!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

A sunny day today!

The ferrets were out of their bag well before the beach and they spent some time searching for a place to wee!

This looks like a good place!
Down on the beach Mr Brambles was hunting around for the rock he found yesterday but couldn't find it anywhere!

He was not a Happy Ferret!

OK, No One Move, I'm going to search every one of you!
As if!

Then it all went sort of pear shaped after that.

We got home to OTL making phone calls, then he was out in the car, (Without Us!) and then was back at midday, just in time for our walk.

He didn't take the camera with him but instead was sort of 'In A Hurry'!

He wouldn't let me go for a swim and he wouldn't let Holly run off and have a game with her mate the Staffy!

Most unusual!

Wot's more, when we got home The Missus was all ready to go out and OTL was into the big car and off they went, leaving us behind!

This is Not On!

They finally came home just after six!

We are going to interrogate them at dinner time, just when they want to eat!

We'll let you know if there is anything interesting!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Sunday, Lazy Funny Sunday!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We love Sundays, you see there is no rushing about and the telephone is quiet and The Missus plays with her Glue & Glitter and Old Two Legs is a miserable as they come 'cos England missed out on the rugby!

You should have heard him, one moment cheering his head off and next cursing 'cos England lost by just one converted try!

We, of course, joined in with some supportive woofing but in the end it was Ireland who carried the trophy home!

We were down the beach good and early just to see what the tide had done. It was a very high tide yesterday and what with the wind blowing as well, the beach was washed clean of all the rubbish that was there a couple of days ago, including our holes that we had dug!

'ere! Me Holes Gone!
The ferrets stuck their heads out of the bag but decided it was just too windy and cold to get out early and instead they decided to wait until they got onto the beach!

No Thanks, we'll stay here until we get to the beach!
Mind you, they didn't stay long and were soon running for the grass path.

Mr Brambles did say that all the wind and water yesterday had loosened a rock and if we all gave it a push we could roll it along the beach for fun!

Yeah! On your bike sunshine

Look, we could Rock & Roll it a bit!
Back home the ferrets were having a great time exploring the 'Fun Palace' that OTL had put together for them. There is only two holes in the front, a sort of 'In' and 'Out' but it is full of toys and tubes and boxes full of packing material and loads of rustles with the brown paper!

Snowflake reckons it is Brilliant and even Brambles had fun exploring it and trying to dig into the brown paper!
The only problem is, Holly and I haven't worked out how to get into it and pinch the squeaky balls!

OTL had some paperwork to catch up on so this morning Holly and I  lazed on our cushions having a chew of our Rawhide Chews.

After all the work was done, OTL tried out the new printer on a couple of pictures he fancied seeing on printed paper.

Not bad, even if we do say so!

Lunchtime it was still chilly but the tide was almost in, so the fishermen were back but today.......

No Fish!
The water was splashing against The Sea Wall and some was even coming over the top!

More Splashy Water!
Holly said that she was just too fast for water to catch her but just at that moment........

Yikes!
 It got her!

Back home for more snoozes and a chew on our Rawhide chew.

At least there is no more rugby to upset OTL!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

OTL is building the Ferret Fun House!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here again!

Happy Saturday!

Old Two Legs has finished his 'Manufacturing' and the entrance hall is stuffed full of a kilometre of cable on wooden drums. He was hoping to get them shipped yesterday but was just too late for the carrier!

This morning, by way of a celebration, OTL changed the camera over to B&W and screwed the Yellow Filter onto the lens and off we went!

It was cloudy, but not the sort of 'Dramatic' clouds that OTL likes. Mind you, it was a bit windy as well!

OK, but nothing special!
Miss Snowflake was off and running as soon as she got out of the bag but Brambles hung about a bit trying to get warmed up!

In this wind I really shouldn't be moulting yet!
Snowflake came over and gave him a cuddle and a quick lick of his ear, just to get him going!

Come on Dear, We'll be home soon!
Holly and I were having a sniff on the beach when we heard a load of woofing further on down The Sea Wall, it was The Lads on their walk.

I'm surprised sometimes at the amount of noise a woofer can make!

Sounds like The Lads are on their way!
It was some time before they finally arrived, Holly and I stood on the beach watching out for them. You know we were standing so still Brambles thought we had frozen stiff!

Just to help us get going again he offered to start digging a hole and we could join in later to get warm!

Fancy a Hole?
Back home OTL sorted out all his jobs and finally got around to opening up his Printer Box!

Now OTL is a softy really so, instead of setting up his printer, what did he do?

Yes, he made up another 'Adventure Playground' for the ferrets full of cardboard tubes and brown paper and packaging material and boxes with holes in and, well it is almost full up!

Oh yes, all of their squeaky toys, so of which they have pinched of us woofers!

In the end it got put under the bench and now we await Snowflake and Brambles to wake up and investigate!

Down on The Sea Wall at lunchtime it was a Very High Tide plus a chilly 'On Shore' wind!

So, you can imagine what OTL was doing!

Yep! Clicking away at the waves!

Trying not to get wet!
Every time OTL got close to the edge a wave came crashing into the wall!

There's another one!
A bit further on there were two fishermen getting wet and cold! Holly was looking for sarnies but then a wave came crashing in and she decided to leg it!

Here comes another wave!
We met up with Henry, a sort of Westie with a history! he ran around us but wasn't let off the lead 'cos he would run away from his Two Legs!

I just love to run!
So, back home while OTL set about trying to set up his new printer. Well, he got it onto the shelf and that was it. He then spent some time clearing up and watching the rugby!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

The Eclipse and OTL's not a Happy Puppy!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Have we had some fun today!

It started with Old Two Legs walking into the Clothes Horse Thingy, early this morning, in the dark and bashing his toe!

Oh Golly Gosh he said, in another language!

Then, when he went down stairs to get a bowl of Rabbit Food and some milk for the ferrets only to find there was no Rabbit Food, only a Bowl of Shredded Cardboard!

That went back into the box and he decided to suffer with a glass of orange juice and a cup of tea.

So, with that and the Ferret milk on a tray he headed for the office to Breakfast with The Ferrets as he does every morning.

At the top of the stairs he bashed his toe again which sent the orange juice flying off the tray and down the wall!

Oh Double Golly Gosh quoth OTL in that foreign language he reserves for such occasions!

That was it, the tea went down at lightening speed and we headed off to The Beach with the ferrets!

We were expecting a quiet walk but when we got there the car park was full of cars and down on The Sea Wall, someone had put up a tent thingy and there were a few Two Legs setting up their telescope to watch the eclipse.

Wot way is the sun?
OTL told us what the eclipse was, so we left them to get on with it 'cos the ferrets wanted a wee!

Both of them were hanging out of the bag and asking................

Are we there.......................
Pretty soon they were out of the bag and tearing around over the sea weed and of course, they just had to fall in the water!

Yuk! That was Wet!
Mind you, they both had fun 'Hunting Monsters!' and Mr Brambles fell in the water as well!

I got a wet and soggy paw!
We stopped off at the tent on the way back 'cos Holly could sniff bacon sarnies!

OK, who's got the Bacon Sarnies?
The greedy Herbert's had finished off all the sarnies by the time we got there, so, no strokes for them!

Back home the ferrets were having fun rampaging around the house and Brambles spent some time watching out of the bedroom window, but that was after he had spent time eating our biscuits!

You can't beat a good roll on the carpet!
OTL has spent today working so we have had to look after ourselves. Holly went looking at the frog spawn again and I did some reading about Tadpoles. You know they live off the fat in their tails?

I reckon Holly could live for weeks on her tail!

Lunchtime we were down the beach again and when we got down there, the people with the telescopes had all gone home. Now I'm not surprised 'cos we were looking out for the eclipse as well but it got so dark we couldn't see a thing!

Still can't see the sun!
Holly said that she was going to try flying again and set off down the beach at a terrific pace. You know, it was just enough to get her airborne but her ears couldn't provide the lift to get her right up off the ground, still she had a go!

Zoooooooooooooom!
I spotted a large plank of wood in the sea and asked OTL if we could take it home so we can make a surf board .

He said it wouldn't fit in the small car so we are leaving it until tomorrow and OTL says he will bring the wood saw to cut it to length!

Yeah! Ride the Waves with this!
Back home Holly and I crept back under OTL's Work Station and fell asleep while OTL finished off him 'Manufacturing'!

There is nothing better than a good snooze!
Still, the weekend is here and it's the First Day of Spring, now that can't be all bad!

See you tomorrow and it's England v France!

Bye bye.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

It's a Ferret Day but there's No Croaking Yet!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

Well, today Holly and I said that the Ferrets could try their paws at writing the blog but to be honest, they're not too good at typing and in the end I had take over!

It was a bit chilly this morning 'cos the wind was blowing but the mist was still there and there was some Smog forecast for later in the day!

Seems like this Smog stuff was being blown in from Europe, Holly says that they can have it back!

Mr Brambles was out first for a wee and reckons that he sniffed a rabbit in the grass, Holly and I didn't sniff it but you know that ferrets have a very good sense of smell!

I think I sniff a Rabbit!
Miss Snowflake was sniffing around and said that she could sniff fresh rabbit wee!

Mmmmm! There is a trace of Rabbit here!
Down on the beach Brambles got stuck into the sand digging a fresh hole. He was going like the clappers, throwing sand all over the place!

Kicking Sand!
Snowflake sat there watching but said that she really didn't feel like disturbing him if he was having fun!
You carry on dear, I'll just watch!
He was putting his heart into it and sand was everywhere, all over him, Snowflake and even managed to get some over Old Two Legs!

Shifting Sand!

Back home OTL has been working, all day, poor lad! Wot is worse, because he was working, we had to look after ourselves!

Holly spent some time watching the frog spawn but said she couldn't see any movement yet but the spawn was still floating in the same place!

I sat on the other side of the pond listening to see if I could hear any croaking!

No croaking yet!

The missus has gone out for the evening splashing Glue & Glitter about again!

We will see you again tomorrow but OTL will still be working!

You know, he still hasn't unpacked the new printer yet, so you see how important his work is at the moment!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We are expecting babies!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

It has been a busy day today!

First we woke up late, it was Holly's fault, she got thrown off the bed by The Missus, again!

So she went down stairs and had a bite to eat and then fell asleep on the sofa until about three thirty, when she came back up stairs and gave one of her 'Pick Me Up' woofs! Old Two Legs got out and picked her up and put her on the bed, ready for her next snooze!

We got down to the beach and it was still misty. It's a pity the weather has been so terrible 'cos last night there was a big showing of Aurora Borealis in the sky but it didn't get down as far as us here in North Kent. OTL was showing off 'cos that is one of the things he is busting to see!

He says that he wants to go to the Orkney Islands and keep his fingers crossed! Not sure when he plans to go but I don't think we will be going with him!

So, instead of  Aurora Borealis we got mist!

No Aurora Borealis here!
The ferrets were up for a game on the beach and spent some time ferreting around in the rock pools and getting their paws wet!

It's a bit damp here as well!
Brambles didn't hang about and chased Holly and me up the grass path. Holly found this sniff and we were enjoying sharing it when Brambles came bounding up and joined in! Without asking!

Cheeky Ferret!

Share a sniff girls?

Back home things were going potty! There was a couple of big orders waiting for OTL which he said involves a kilometre of coax cable!

I can see he has a few days of cutting and crimping ahead of him!

So, there he was, getting going on the first order when the next one came in and that involves a large number of antennae that he has to cut to length and then build to his own special design. (He's clever like that!)

Holly and I headed for our snooze spots and we left him alone until a quarter past two when we gave his chair a shove, which means 'Walkies!'

The weather hadn't changed but we didn't mind, it wasn't too cold and a chase along the Sea Wall to keep us warm.

Back home OTL says that we got a surprise coming!

Auntie Hellen was bringing some babies for us to look after!

Wot? Babies? Here? For Us?

We were rather excited and when she rang the door bell and we both gave her a Big Welcome Woof!

In her arms was a box with a big bowl inside that used to hold sweets!

Inside the bowl was some water and in the water was............

FROG SPAWN!

We all went out into the garden and watched OTL pour pond water into the bowl and then pour it out again, together with the frog spawn!

We have been told that we must guard the spawn against birds like Herons and Seagulls and Little Egrets and Pussy Cats!

No Problem!

We are not sure how long it will take until frogs come out for a croak but we will be watching the pond for signs!

So, there you go, something to look forward to other than the Blue Tits and the Sparrows producing eggs soon!

Of course, Miss Snowflake asked if she could look after a frog or two but I thing OTL wouldn't be too happy about that!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

More Visitors!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Wot an exciting day today!

We were up early 'cos Holly fell out of bed, we think that The Missus kicked her off the bed but we can't be sure 'cos we were all asleep at the time!

What that did mean was that we were all out for our morning walk a bit before our normal time!

Holly said that there would be a good chance of catching a rabbit or two if we rushed around the corner and surprised them!

Well! Where are they?
That was it, too early for even the rabbits!, Mind you, we had time to have a look around, just in case, 'cos the ferrets wanted a wee!

Come on Snowflake don't take all day!
Down on the beach it was sort of wonderful. We all stood there and said, 'Wonder what's over there?'

All we could hear was the Fog Horn honking away on the end of Southend Pier!

Wunder Wot's Over There?
The tide hadn't fully come in, so there was time for Miss Snowflake to have a scuttle around the rocks and check to see if the Big Slimy Monster was around!

Oh! Look! Real Rocks!
Brambles made an interesting discovery, if he stands on top of the sea weed and scrunches his claws up, there is a loud POP and he gets sea water all over the place!

Here! That one went POP! As well!
Back up on the grass both ferrets were diving in and out of the grass, Mr Brambles said he was sure he could sniff a Monster Weasel in the grass but Snowflake and I thought it was a bit like Holly's Rabbits, mostly in the mind!

Shh! There's one here, Honest!
Back home for a nibble of breakfast and a snooze.

That didn't last too long 'cos we were woken by Auntie Zoe ringing our door bell!

Auntie Zoe, Uncle Paul and Little Megan had come for a visit and to bring TM her Birthday present!

Mind you, it's not her birthday yet, that happens at the end of the month but I think they wanted to get it in early just in case!

Well, there she was, ripping the wrapping off a brand new Slow Cooker.  Oooooh! Says TM, Look, now I can cook you wonderful meals!

OTL asked if there was a magic wand with it or is it a self contained magic pot.

We think the dentist will be able to fix the broken tooth!

The printer arrived today but we haven't opened it yet 'cos OTL has had loads to do, so that may be opened tomorrow!

One good thing though, the box it comes in is enormous, so we reckon that the ferrets are going to get a new maze to play in, complete with loads of brown paper and cardboard tubes!

Not sure what is for dinner tonight, maybe sausage egg and chips!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Monday Monday!

Hi Woofers!

Us back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

You know wot? I woke up this morning thinking it was Sunday and I was looking forward to a really long lie in!

It was only the jet powered carpet sweeper that The Missus was riding around the lounge that woke me up otherwise I might still be on the bed!

The wind had dropped a little this morning and while there was a chill in the air, it wasn't so windy!

That means there must be some warmer weather on it's way!

You could tell it was getting better 'cos the sky looked 'Softer' than it has over the last few days!

A Sky with Promise!
Now the sky looked OK but the sea didn't! You see, when we emptied the ferrets out of the bag they both looked shocked!

No Rocks!

The tide was right in and there was nothing but sand and sea weed!

Not much to hide behind!

Where's the Rocks Gone?
Never mind Snowflake said and she tried hiding behind the bit of sea weed on the beach which was OK to begin with but we all shouted out that there was a wave chasing up behind her!

It's Behind You!
Mr Brambles found the hole he was digging the other day and he chased Holly and me out so he could carry on digging!

Gerroff It's a Ferret Hole!
Holly and I left him to it and went down the beach to wait for him to finish. Holly had a look and said that he was 'Taking His Time' but it didn't look too bad, for a ferret!

Not bad for a ferret but he does take his time!
We all trotted alone the grass path together and the ferrets said they saw a rabbit but Holly reckons it was a lump of grass blowing in the wind!

You Sure?
We were out again at lunchtime but it was just as cold, so, no change there!  Old Two Legs was playing around with the camera and using the flash thingy to 'Fill In' which really means 'Light Up Our Face'

Actually, it don't look too bad!

I got a star in my eye!
Holly said that it was OK but it made you go blind for a few seconds!

Now I can't see the sea!
So, there we are, not the most exciting day but it has been gentle and OTL has been working hard!

Tomorrow we expect the new printer to arrive from Germany!

Loads of fun!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Bambles.
