Last Day of The Holiday.

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Today is the last day we are on site and it's fun watching everyone getting packed up and head off home so that they will be in time for work tomorrow!

Us, on the other paw, are leaving tomorrow when it is a bit quieter and not so many caravan heading for the exit at one time!

Holly and I left them to fight over the exit and went off for our morning walk.

There we were, just sniffing the sniffs and having a peaceful time when from behind us we heard 'Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

We turned around to see this ball of fur and ears come tearing across the field in our direction!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
It was one of three woofers who had just come into the field. One was a King Charles Spaniel and the other was a whopping great Irish Wolfhound!

Holly said we should keep an eye on the big one 'cos it looks like it could eat us all with one bite!

This little squirt of a woofer was all playful and yappy and we told her to watch out for the big hound!

'Watch Out For Him?'

And with that she rushed back calling out 'Hey Shamus!'

Then, she made a jump at the hounds ears! He was a bit too quick for her and he turned his head and caught her in midair and then plonked her down on her back but still kept hold of her around her tummy!

Oh Gawd says Holly, he's going to eat her!

Stop Yer Tickling Shamus!
It was then we heard her laughing her tail off! She got away from him and came rushing back to us again, 'Shamus is Family!' she said!

He's Family!
They went off and left us alone, Holly reckons that Shamus could eat us for breakfast!

We heard another woof and a sheep dog came bounding over wit a ball it it's mouth.

'Hey! Wanna Play Ball?'

Hey! If you catch me I'll let you carry the ball!
Holly, told her that 'We Don't Do Balls, but thanks for the invitation anyway!'

We headed back to the caravan so that Old Two Legs can get the ferrets out for their walk and we can have our breakfast of chicken!

All getting ready to go!
We went out with The Missus and OTL in the car to do a bit of shopping then it was back for a snooze before our afternoon sleep!

TM was plonking away on her computer and promising to 'Get another card done this afternoon so you lot can clear off!'

She can get so bossy sometimes!

We went out to get some fuel for the car and the journey home and on the way back we stopped at the Roman Amphitheatre. To be honest, it looked like a load of earth had been piled up to make seats around a flattish area  in the centre. OTL was showing off describing the places where everyone sat and how the players would entrance right and exit stage left!

He also said that the acoustics were supposed to be so good that you could hear a whisper from the stage.

There were a couple of Two Legs, sitting on the grass, on top of the seating area, so OTL said, in a loud whisper, 'Friends, Romans and Countrymen, buy us a beer!

No one moved, no one looked like they had heard him! OTL was disappointed.

OTL said that the acoustics had 'Worn Down a Bit' since the Roman Days!

Back we went to find TM working away on her 'Artist Trading Cards', OTL said that ATC in his book was Air Traffic Control and none of the cards would fly more than a couple of metres!

Still, she tries!

So, that's it for today, we plan an early night tonight, so that means OTL will be restricted to just one slurp of Single Malt while we will get just one bit of Shortbread!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Seriously Lazy!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Well, this has been a day of Nothing!

First thing this morning we rolled over and went back to sleep!

When we finally did get up we decided that wot we needed was some 'Education' about Cirencester!

So, after clearing up and getting all the chores out of the way we headed off in the car into Cirencester town centre.

The ferrets were not too happy about being left in the caravan but we promised them a 'Rampage' when we got back!

It's not fair you leaving us again!
Off we went into the town.

Well, it really isn't very big and there wasn't much to see about it being the second biggest roman town after London. We didn't go into any of the buildings like, The Museum, or The Church 'cos they had up those signs, 'No Dogs Allowed, Except Guide Dogs'!

Not Fair!

Holly and I can be Guide Dogs, just 'cos we haven't been to Guide Dog School!

So, that was it, we decided not to stay in town but to have a drive around the country side and when it's twelve, we would stop at the first pub for lunch!

The first pub was full of tables with a 'Reserved' sign on each of them, which is another form of 'No Dogs Allowed' and if we wanted to have food and a drink, we had to sit outside on some benches, even if it rained!

Stuff that for a bowl of doggy scoff!

Off we went again!

About an hour later we found another pub that had room in the car park, spare tables but a sign saying 'Guide Dogs Only!'

Still, Old Two Legs took us for a walk in the forest before he headed into the pub for lunch. In fact, he had sent The Missus in first, armed with a few twenty pound notes and instructions to order up a Steak & Kidney Pie and half of the Local Brew!

We got left to guard the car, nibble on Doggy Biscuits and drink water!

When they finally came out again, TM sat in the car reading 'Stamper Magazine' while OTL took us around the forest again!

Then it was back to the caravan and a walk around the Doggy Field and a snooze before dinner, (Doggy Scoff)!

Has he lost his caravan?
The ferrets got an extra run around the Doggy Field, hunting rabbits but they didn't see any!

So, tonight it is the F1 Highlights which OTL gets on his computer and then displays on the TV. We still haven't found any satellite signals, so the dish just keeps going around and around until it gives up and falls flat!

We see other caravans and motor homes with satellite dishes doing the same thing, Holly says that they all look like Clockwork toys running down!

So that's it, a really lazy day and we reckon to learn more about Cirencester when it comes up on 'Time Team'!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Dog Scarry Ferrets on The Rampage!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Have we had some fun today!

As you may know, we have landed on the caravan site at Cirencester and it is full, I mean, loaded up to the tree tops. Everyone taking advantage of the Bank Holiday Weekend and the weather. Loads of little Two Legs running around making more mayhem and noise than normal and loads of woofers making use of the excellent 'Doggy Walking Area!

We all run around chasing balls and each other while our Two Legs chase after us with Poo Bags!

Loads of Woofers!
Well, Old Two Legs has taken the ferrets and Holly and me out at the same time but hasn't felt like he is 'In Control', as if he ever is!

So, today he took Holly and I out first thing this morning. We had a good game with the other woofers and one big Red Setter nicked our ball!

Come on then, Chase Me!
It took ages for his TL to get our ball off him 'cos he just kept running away, thinking it was such a good game!

Then we go back to the caravan to have breakfast and clean our teethe while OTL takes the ferrets out!

Holly loves cleaning her teeth!
Both ferrets were all excited about going into the Doggy Area and when they got there most of the woofers had left, except for a couple of little terrier types and this Bozo Brown Sheep Dog Type.

Now, this area is quite big and there's plenty of room for everyone but this Bozo seemed to think that although he was on the other side of the field, for some reason, the ferrets posed some sort of threat to him!

As he was off his lead, OTL kept a close eye on him but he didn't come over to our side, he kept on his side and woofed his head off at the ferrets!

Every time his TL tried to put him on the lead, he would run away a bit and carry on woofing!

And Woofing, and Woofing and woofing!

OTL got a bit fed up and picked up the ferrets and walked over to the Bozo's side of the field, just to show him that ferrets are small and cuddly!

It didn't work!

He woofed even more and ran a few steps further away!

OTL said he was a wimp being scared of two cuddly ferrets but at that, the TL got upset at OTL calling his woofer a wimp!

As OTL says, 'At least I have control over my animals, unlike you!'

Banned to a lead for the rest of the holiday!
Mind you, Snowflake said that she had 'Sorted out' bigger woofers than him!

Then the pair went for a jog around the field 'Shadow Boxing' and practising their 'Ferret Growls'!

This afternoon we went back for another run around and to be honest, the ball thing was OK for a few minutes but it was a bit warm.

Throw the Woofin' Ball!
So after the first few throws Holly and I were more interested in the sniffs that the ball!

No, I've had enough of balls!
That means that if OTL wants to kick or throw the ball, he can go and fetch it himself!

So, that's about it for today, chase a ball, eat food, snooze while the F1 is on and woof at the dogs passing our caravan!

Life don't get much better!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Back in the Land of No LL's!

Yo Ho Woofers!

It's us again! Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Now, sorry we didn't get a blog out last night but by the time we had packed everything up it was just too late and Holly and I crept off to bed!

Now we are back!

Yesterday we were down on the beach, as normal, chasing the sea gulls and generally getting into trouble!

Early morning on the beach.
Both ferrets were into digging holes in the sand.

Shovel it all out!
Miss Snowflake was really getting some sand shifted, mainly 'cos she had some help from Holly!

Brambles we reckon can dig his own hole and he made a good job of it by the time it was finished!

What I need is bigger paws to shovel more sand!
I found an old ball so Old Two Legs and I had a game of 'chase'!

Well, he kicked it and I chased after it!

Come On! Kick the Ball!
We went out shopping and The Missus was hours chasing around looking for this Craft Shop in Haverford West, then she was scurrying about in the Market Place looking for 'Micro Beads' what ever they are!

So that it why we were late in getting everything down and packed away!

Mind you, it didn't help that OTL still has this flu/cold that TM gave him just before we came away on holiday, he has been achy and snotty ever since we left home!

This morning we were up good and early to get ahead of the weekend traffic. In fact it was still all misty down across the bay!

Early Morning Mist!
Mr B decided that he just couldn't leave Wales without finishing off his very own 'Sand Hole'!

Can't go any deeper 'cos there is a coal mine in the way!
Miss Snowflake on the other paw decided that she would have one more climb up the mountain and even got OTL to catch her when she lost her grip and fell off!

What I need is a Sherpa to carry me down!
While OTL was worrying about the ferrets, Holly and I found a really super sniff and before OTL could say a thing, we both had a really good roll in it!

A sort of 'Farewell' roll to Wales!

Oooooo! It don't get much better!
Down by the waters edge there was one more Nelly Fish who had got stranded, it's just a pity that they may have stingers on them or we might have helped them back into the water again!

Another one stuck again!
As we headed back to the caravan Holly pointed out that we were the only ones on the beach this morning, except for the stuck Nelly Fish!

We got the beach all to ourselves!

We have left Welsh Wales and are now in Gloucestershire and have just got set up for the weekend!

Now The Missus says that she just couldn't get on with the taste of the water, it made her coffee taste horrid!

I must admit, it was a little 'unusual'!

As we headed off this morning Old Two Legs says that he is looking forward to reading a road sign that doesn't have ddoublle 'L's D's or F's it it! It has been ffun trying to pronounce the names but we are llooking forwardd to something 'Ffamiliar'!

Well, we have just got unpacked and all set up, except TM has got the 'Rats' 'cos we can't get a satellite signal 'cos she wanted to watch the F! racing this weekend, all together.....Aaaaaaaaah!

This site is getting rather packed, just 'cos it's Bank Holiday Weekend and we have seen the same caravan drive past our window four times looking for a place to park!

Should have got here earlier, like wot we done!

So, we have found the Dog Walking Area and it is great, the grass is cut and there is a fence up so we can be let off the lead as well!

The ferrets have been for a run in there as well but they had to stay on their leads 'cos they can get through the wire fence!

More news tomorrow 'cos we have been told that TM wants to 'Make a Card' so that means we have to 'Clear Off'!

Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

A Lazy Day for OTL.

Yacky Dar Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Well, Old Two Legs has blown out again on the puffins! So, we had him all day today, being lazy!

First he let The Missus take us out for our morning walk but she refused to take the ferrets a s well!

So, when OTL finally got up, he took us all, TM included, down to the beach again!

We met up with a Shetland Sheepdog who was a bit loud to begin with but after saying 'Hello' to OTL, calmed down a bit!

I'm a Big Bad Shettie with a Big Woof!
Holly calmed her down by asking what she would be when she grows up!

Hello OTL!
TM had a walk along the sea shore, which is the nearest she will ever get to swimming!

She is a bit like holly, she just doesn't like getting her boots wet!

TM type Paddle!
Holly was on the rocks looking at the empty beach, then she suggested that we have a game of 'Chase'

Whataboutagameofchasethen?
I had to think about it for a second or two!

Might do!
By then TM had got a lot closer and was shouting, first to Holly and then to me, 'Go on, Get Her!'

Get Her!
Once we had run around the beach it was into the rocks and dig a big hole and chase each other out of the hole!

Gerroffamahole!
Needless to say, both ferrets decided to keep out of our way and scurried off to the rocks and the long grass!

Too Rough for Me!
Back at the caravan OTL got a book out and while it may look like he was reading it, we knew that in fact he had fallen asleep!

That was a bit too much for TM who decided she wanted to go to a local Craft Shop but after waking OTL up and getting us all in the car, we found that the shop had closed!

That didn't matter!

TM found another one a few miles away and she was in need of buying some stuff, so off we went again!

On the way back we stopped at the local Chinese Takeaway and took away a load of Plawn Clackers and King Plawns and Chicken Sooey.

We made a right little pigs of ourselves when we got back!

Now we are in need of a good snooze before going to bed!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Skomer is Shut Again!

Yacky Dar Woofers!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

We've had some fun today!

We went out for our morning stroll along the beach with Old Two Legs and the ferrets. The ferrets were in a right 'Fidget Mood' and  wouldn't stay in their Ferret Bag, so OTL had to put us all in the car and drive to the beach!

He even had to leave the camera in the car 'cos Holy and I were 'acting up' as well!

We found some more Nelly Fish on the beach and Mr Bramble dug a whacking great hole while Snowflake was climbing up the rocks!

OTL had to put Holly on the lead 'cos she was looking towards one of the houses that fronts onto the beach and yesterday we both went and investigated it, even though it had a notice saying 'Private, Keep Out'!

Not that Holly or I take any notice of those signs anyway!

Back at the caravan OTL got the ferrets all sorted out and then announced that he was 'Off to look at Skomer'!

'Right' says Holly and I and we both jumped into the car!

Off we went and before long OTL had pay some money just to cross a bridge!

We drove for about an hour through the country lanes and finally landed at the car park for Skomer Island Boat Trips.

First of all we were jumped on by a couple of ladies from the National Trust who demanded five pounds for us to park the car.

OTL had a little snivel and told them he had paid last time but they still wouldn't allow him in until he handed over the money!

Then he left us in the car and went down to the boat house to see if they were going to run any boats to Skomer today, no!

Well what about tomorrow?

No, don't think so, maybe Thursday.

Thursday is no good 'cos we're getting packed to move off to Cirencester on Friday!

So it's fingers and claws crossed for Wednesday!

We were told that we could have a walk over the headland and have a look at Skomer from the cliff tops.

Off we set, the wind was blowing a good gale off the Irish Sea and OTL insisted on us wearing our harnesses and lead, just in case we got too close to the cliff edge!

As if!

As we got onto the headland and looked down at the sea it didn't seem too rough and Holly said that even she could sail a boat down there!

Doesn't look too bad!
Then we went around the headland a bit further, the wind started to blow a bit stronger and the sea looked like it was rushing past the rocks!

Mmm, Well, Maybe Not today!
Holly, being all brave says 'Come on, let's look over the cliff edge up there!'

Bet you can see a lot from there!
Oh My! Yes we could see a lot. A lot of white water around some nasty looking rocks between us and Skomer Island!

Looks like a bit of a tide running down there!
OTL zoomed in with his camera and you could see how the water was rushing past the rocks!

A real Tide Race!
We went further around the head and looked down to see a seal in the water below, but it was just too far to see what sort it was and on top of that we weren't planning on getting too close to the edge!

Well, it's a black looking lump and it's eating a fish, so it must be a seal or maybe TM in her swimming costume!
On the way back I was 'Speed Sniffing' from the window which is always great fun. Holly tied to get her nose in as well but I wouldn't give up my place at the window, so she showed off and went to sleep on the cushion in the back of the car!

Tomorrow, OTL has to telephone the boat people to see if they will be running any boats, so we still don't know if OTL is going to get his Puffin Shots!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

The Rain Pours Down and OTL is Puffinless!

Yacky Dar Woofers!

We're back! Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

You know how Old Two Legs was getting all excited about visiting the Puffins? Well, around three this morning the rain started and it came down in Torrents!

There was so much rain running off the roof that the front windows on the caravan were doing a very good impression if Niagara Falls!

You just couldn't see past the rain!

OTL decided that today would not be a good day for Puffins and rolled over and went back to sleep again!

Well, it was too wet to go out walking at our normal time and both ferrets said they were going back to bed!

Holly and I stayed on the bed and didn't make any move to go out for a wee!

OTL had to do all his chores with his Big Boots and a Basher on!

Around ten it started to ease off a bit and we were persuaded to go out for a walk on the beach with OTL.

There were more Nelly Fish washed up on the beach and the rain started again!

Holly and I hung on for a bit, then after doing our 'Business', Holly said that she wasn't going to hang about any more and legged it back to the car park.

Wrong!

She had forgotten that we had walked up there instead of bringing the car!

When we got to her she was a very happy puppy 'cos we were there but a bit wet and soggy!

Back at the caravan we got a good rub down, our wet collars taken off to dry and then had breakfast of freshly cooked chicken!

Now, OTL has rescheduled the Puffin trip for Wednesday, so fingers crossed for that!

The TV has not been performing as it should, the controller has given up the ghost and although we can get satellite TV, we can't change channels!

That's OK but Sky News 24hrs a day can get a bit boring!

So, The Missus, being good at the 'Instructions' gave him orders to head off to the local Tesco to get another TV and make sure it plays DVD's and will work with the satellite dish!

He was crying all the way back to the caravan!

This afternoon he has been installing it all!

Can you imagine OTL with Two Controllers, one in each hand trying to set up each box plus confirm he was getting an Astra 2 signal?

Huge fun and loads of woofs from him!

Finally it all came together and he has thrown the instructions away!

By the time all that was finished, the sun came out and we headed for the beach.

The stream across the beach was flooded because of the rain, so I went for a paddle across it, just to wash the sand off my legs. Miss Holly Dog got as far as her knees and  headed back to the path!

One step further and I'll get me bits wet!
I told her not to be such a Fairy and  come and see how much fun it can be but you know Holly........

I don't do wet!
I must say, the rain kept most of the two legs off the beach which is good as far as I'm concerned 'cos I don't like it when there are too many messing up the place!

I hate it when it gets too crowded!
Now, this morning Holly had been naughty by running off 'cos of the rain, so this time, when Holly stopped and looked over her shoulder, OTL was there with the lead and she got clipped on for a short while until she got the message!

Holly went off digging some holes while OTL sat on a rock to watch the clouds.

Mind you, when OTL asked if she had been digging in the sand, she told porkies and said that she hadn't, even though there was a ton hanging from her chops!

Sand? Wot Me? Noooo?
We met some other woofers on the way back and we got told about a super sniff down by the bike rack!
Yeah, just behind the bike rack!
Back at the caravan The Missus has been 'Creative' and finished a canvas thingy with loads of splodges all over the place, the canvas, her hands, the table, the floor, the ceiling, the caravan, and a passing ferret who wasn't quick enough!

Snowflake said she will get her own back, just wait until TM is in the shower, Snowflake will be in under the door and nick her 'Granny Draws' and rush around the caravan site with them, on her head pretending to be a ghost!

Not sure what we are doing tomorrow, going out on the beaches we hope, providing there isn't too much rain!

Now, Mike and Sue are up in Anglesey, also known by its Welsh name Ynys Môn, and it was up there that the Druids got chased around by the Romans. So Sue had better watch out 'cos there are a few Druids left and we hear they are growing in number!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

More Nelly Fish and Rock Climbing and then The National Trust!

Yacky Dar Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

We were up a bit late this morning but we didn't worry too much, as it is Sunday. Down on the beach we spotted four more of those Gigantic Nelly Fish, parked up on the High Tide mark on the beach.

We reckon they must get lost during the night and get stranded on the beach, silly Nelly Fish!

Mr Brambles just loves the beach near us 'cos it is so sandy and he can dig to his little hearts content!

I just Love a good Sand Hole!
Of course, Miss Snowflake can't keep away from the rocks, she says that these are the best ones she has ever climbed and so much better that the one we have at home. In fact, she has asked Old Two Legs if we could take a section of the cliff face home with us.

I can just see it, a section of Welsh Cliff Face on top of the caravan roof and held down with rope and elastic bands!

I love this bit!
Before we came away on holiday, OTL trimmed both ferrets claws. Now Mr Brambles is OK with that 'cos he doesn't need claws to dig sand but Snowflake reckons she could do with her claws just a little longer so she can get a better grip on the rocks!

Holly and I have a little dig but don't really go in for the rock climbing bit, we would rather have a Rough and Tumble over a stick we found on the beach.

Brambles asked if he could join in the game as well!

You can play if you want but it's gonna get rough!
 And so it did!

Snowflake was almost at the top of the ledge and had got to the end of her rope, so, OTL had to pick her off the rock face, tell her she was a clever little ferret and put her at the bottom of the next rock wall!

Nearly there and when I get there, where next?
When we got back to the caravan we suggested a drive out would be fun, but not go too far! Off we went and ended up at Stackpole Quay which is a National Trust place where they charge you a fortune to park the car!

Well, it must be a fortune 'cos OTL was crying when he handed over the money!

First we went down to see the quay, which is a place where boats can moor and off load stuff. I suppose it is interesting to those who have an interest in what boats do but to be honest, for woofers like us it was sooner left the better!

That was until we saw a couple of Two Legs emerge from under the water, all dressed up in rubber suits!

OTL said they were Scuba Divers or Frogmen. Now that seemed a bit odd 'cos neither of them did any croaking like wot frogs normally do, except the ones we got at home that don't croak or even let themselves be seen in or out of the pond!

No Croaks here!
We left them to do wot they were doing and headed off to explore.

The path didn't look long when we looked at the map but by the time we got to the Eight Arch Bridge, TM was making 'Complaining Noises', like 'are we there yet?'

OTL thought it was a pretty bridge and was hoping the wind would drop so he could get a good picture of the arches and their reflection in the pond, but the wind didn't drop, so OTL didn't!

All eight arches, wind and all!
We came across a path of flowers that seemed to flow through the trees. TM brightens up and says they are Wild Garlic.

OTL asks if she is 'Sure'?

She says 'Yes'

After a while, TM agrees that she 'Thinks' they are Wild Garlic, but she is not 100% sure and she will check when she finds a book on wild flowers.

Which she won't 'cos she will forget and hope OTL and us forget as well!

Well, they are Wild, but Wild Wot?
We walked all the way to a 'Viewing Spot' high on a hill and stopped to have a look but as Holly says, 'Yes, very impressive, but Wot Next?'

Wot Next?
Wot next was the long walk back! OTL reckons we walked at least two miles in total and I must admit, I was pleased to get back to the car for a drink and a snooze on our way back to the caravan!

So was Holly and TM as well!

OTL is off tomorrow to Skomer Island to see if he can photograph Puffins, those birds with colourful beaks!

That means we will be in charge of TM while he's away, let's hope she behaves herself!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.
