It's just too hot to be dry!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Well, hasn't been a warm one today?

We were woken up at about three this morning with one of the neighbours shifting planks of wood in or out of his garden! No, we don't know either but he was making enough noise to wake Holly and me and once woken, that means 'Puppy Patrol'!

We had a march around the house but couldn't get out into the garden, so, a quick woof in Old Two Legs ear got him into a vertical position and, bouncing off the wall as he fell down the stairs,  he landed at the kitchen door to let us out!

Of course, the planking neighbour got the message and stopped making all that noise!

Now, out on early morning patrol means we didn't get up until late, in fact The Missus had left in the small car to take all her stuff up the hall for her 'Master Class'!

No big deal, we knew she would bring it back so we can go walkies later. When she did bring it back, she got out of the car and walked off back to the hall.

She didn't come in to say Bye Bye, she didn't even wave at us who were up at the window watching her!

No strokes for her tonight!

Down on the beach it was getting warm and even Miss Snowflake was looking for rock pools to paddle her paws in!

Looks Wet!
We came across a new Doodle Type of woofer who was soaking wet, but we couldn't work out where the water came from 'cos the tide was out!

A Wet Doodle!
Both ferrets went for a rampage through the sea weed while Holly and I said hello to the lads while the Two Legs were having their early morning gas!
The Morning Gas Bags!
Lunchtime we were back down the beach and the tide was almost right in! I had a great time 'cos I found a stick and OTL threw it in for me and I got soaking wet all over!

This is Good!
Holly, on the other paw, decided that swimming was stupid and a warm pile of stones was a better bet!

No, That's Stupid!
So there I was, happily splashing in and out of the water when this low flying jet came screaming past and landed in the water!

Wot The Woofin' Heck?
 It was Bella the Staffy!

She loves the water as much as I do and we had great time chasing her ball in and out of the water. I must admit, she always beat me to the ball but it still was fun trying to keep up with her!

A Game of Catch Me!
The best bit was when she was half way up the beach and the ball was thrown and she and I ran down the beach and jumped into the water.

She always beats me but, well, she is bigger and faster than me!

Making a Big Splash!
All this time Holly was hiding away in the shade of the sea wall and resting he butt on the wet sea weed!

A Sensible place to be!
On the way back to the car she also found all the shady bits to wait for OTL to catch us up!

I know all the best places!
We are looking forward to a quiet evening tonight, a slurp of single malt and some shortbread should just hit the mark, OTL has the single malt and Holly and I help with the shortbread!

See you tomorrow Woofers!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

It's Friday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

Another super day, it wasn't too hot last night so we all got a good sleep!

Even the ferrets were late in getting up!

Old Two Legs got their breakfast and his and went up to the office. Now up there OTL has a machine for shredding bits of paper he has finished with and doesn't want to just throw into the bin.

Today it was full to overflowing and he emptied the shredded paper into a plastic bag and put that under the desk. Forgetting that ferrets like to have a 'Ferret around' anything new in the room!

Yep! You guessed it, the pair of the were rolling about in it and then they started to kick it all over the place and in the end there was more on the office floor than in the rubbish bag!

OTL said he couldn't get too upset 'cos it was so funny watching the ferrets enjoy themselves in the shredded paper!

Down on the beach we found a used Bar B Q tray that someone had left on the sand, no food, just the empty tray!

OK, where's the food?
OTL was clicking away at the insects on the plants and came across this Buff Tailed Bumblebee!

Buzzy Buzzy!
Back in the car, Bramble had a drink from our water bowl but Snowflake would only drink from the ferret bottle!

Glug, Glug, Licky, Licky, Slurp, Slurp!
It took OTL ages to clear up all the shredded paper but in the end he went back to 'Real Work' while us woofer went back to snoozing!

Lunchtime was fun, it was too rough to go in swimming but we saw a fisherman on the beach who not only had caught no fish but he had run out of worms and was taking apart his sandwiches to put on the hook!

Wot a waste of sarnies!
We left him to it and carried on looking for a place to swim but all the way down the sea wall it was splashing so much that even I reckon it was not swimming weather!

Too Splashy!
Up on the grass path, OTL found that Soldier Beetle again and we asked him what he was hanging about for. 'Well' says the Soldier Beetle, 'I'm waiting for the women!'

It's breeding time!
So, we left him to it and headed for home where the sun had moved away from the back garden, so it was nice and cool, just right for snoozing!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

It's the Vets Again!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here.

Gawd! Wot a muggy day it's been today!

No sun, just loads of cloud, a bit of rain and no wind!

Mind you, the worse thing was the visit to the vet!

But to start off we were down the beach and both ferrets were snoozing all the way from the car to the beach. Normally they would have got out for a wee and a sniff but not today!

I'm so sleepy today!
Snowflake spent a lot of time ferreting around in the rock pools and under the sea weed.

At one time she called out..............

Anyone seen me head?
Then squeezing through under the sea weed, she popped out the other end and asked....................

Where's me Tail Gone?
What a witty little ferret she can be!

Old Two Legs was captivated by a pretty flower by the side of the path and stopped to a picture, then spent the rest of the trip home sneezing his tail off!

Pretty!
Back home we had time for a little rest before it was time to get to the vets. There was Holly and I going to get our booster injection for distemper and all that stuff.

It was also time for Brambles to get his shot as well 'cos it has been two years since he had his last one and he got that when he moved in with us. So, it is an anniversary, two years Mr Brambles has been with us!

Off we went and into the vets place. First we had to get on the weighing machine and get our file updated.

Next it was in the see the vet.

First it was Brambles who was up on the table getting poked and pulled about and the the vet stabbed him with a needle!

It was Horrible!

And there I was, on the floor watching it all!

I was getting very nervous and was looking to getting out, like now! Before I knew it, OTL had lifted me onto the table where I was subjected to all that pulling and poking and prodding!

I was really getting wound up and because I was unhappy, Holly was woofing her head off, telling me to 'calm down', which made it worse!

I was struggling and climbing up OTL trying to get through the ceiling!

Then, while I was cuddling up into OTL's arms and trying to get to the door, the vet stabbed me with the needle!

I was then put back on the floor and headed to the door, which stayed shut!

Holly got picked up and put on the table and just sat there! She got  all that pulling and poking and prodding but she just sat there!

When she got stabbed, she didn't even move!

She got a stroke from the vet but I said I would rip his arms off if he came anywhere near me!

That was it, we got put in the car while OTL went back to pay for us being stabbed and pulled and poked and prodded!

That'll teach him!

Lunchtime was fun 'cos I managed to sneak up on a Two Legs who was having his lunch, Fish & Chips, but there was too much salt and sauce on it for me!

Well, if I like it you can have a stroke!
The tide was in so was I! It was so cool in there and I was having a great time!

We met up with Darcy who has only just discovered water! Her stick was thrown out too far and once her paws were off the bottom she turned back.

I know just what she felt like 'cos I spent a long time like that until one day I started to swim.

So, just to help her, OTL threw the stick out and she went in to fetch it and if it was too far, I swam out to get it, just to show her how it's done!

Too far?
Holly wouldn't come anywhere near us and instead sat on The Sea Wall telling everyone who passed that she was lost and hungry and scared and would they take her home and feed her?

I'm a poor lost puppy!
The the TL's looked at me and said that she looked like me and was she telling porkies?

Poor Holly, she never got even a nibble!

OTL got all exited 'cos he spotted a Soldier Beetle and said that soon they would be loads for him to photograph!

First of many?
That was it, back home we went for a snooze before dinner, Doggy Scoff!

Well, maybe we will get some shortbread tonight, but not dipped in the beer or whisky, that stuff tastes terrible!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Wot a Scorcher!

Yo Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Well, they did warn us and for a change they were correct in their weather forecast!

It has been stinking hot and seriously muggy!

We were out good and early while there was still some cloud around to cool it down a bit. Holly met up with her boy friend Butch!

As normal, she was acting 'The Tart' and was teasing poor old Butch who was kept on his lead!

I think you're pretty!
Holly was playing up to him something rotten! He got so excited that he asked if he could come home with us!

Can I come home with you?
Holly can be a real Tart sometimes, you know, I almost felt sorry for Butch!

Down on the beach Holly and I had a rest while Snowflake went off looking for wet sea weed and a cool rock pool!

I'll just wet my paws!
She was so busy having a good time that when a Sea Gull came over and called out, Snowflake got in a panic and said it looked like a White Sea Eagle!

Look! A Sea Eagle!
We all had a laugh about that and kept calling 'Watch Out! Sea Eagles!'

Mr Brambles had some fun winding up Holly by telling her that he had changed his name to 'Bro Brambles' and challenged her to call him that.

So, she did, and Brambles answered back Yo! Sis!

Of course, that got her going again!

I'm not your Sis!
Another bit of excitement was when Holly and I came across a dead Shrew, Holly reckons it had died of old age!

Not so our big brave ferrets! They both pounced on it together, then Snowflake picked it up and gave it a good shake.

Brambles then jumped on it and sunk his teeth in and announced that it didn't taste like chicken!

After they had finished playing with it, Old Two Legs told them to 'Leave it Alone' and we headed off home.

Come on, my turn!
Back home we were all too hot and so we all headed for a cool place where we could snooze the morning away!

The ferrets had their Ice Pack under their bed and were happy to snooze the day away!

OTL had to go out working followed by a trip to the dentist.

More pain and he had to pay for it as well!

OTL was not a happy puppy!

After that he headed home and said he was going to enjoy a cool beer and a sit down in the shade!

Mind you, his car does have air conditioning!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr 'Bro' Brambles.

Deep in The Forest!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Bro Brambles here!

Wot a Hot Day Today?

Last night it was a bit muggy and they are promising even more heat before the end of the week!

The ferrets were straight into the Sea Weed and paddling in the rock pools.

That was until Snowflake thought she spotted a crab!

I saw something move under that rock!
Both ferrets got out of the rock pool and sat on top of the rocks!

Holly and I were on the beach waiting for them to start heading for home. That's the trouble with ferrets, no matter which way you want to go, they always want to go the other way!

I've told them to get a move on, you try to get them out!
It was like that all the way back to the car. Holly and I went on ahead while Old Two Legs had to stay with the ferrets while they sniffed every sniff and rolled in every ferret sniff all the way back to the car park!

If you don't hurry up we'll leave you here!
Of course we wouldn't but they do take their time about getting to the car!

Lunchtime OTL had to go to the carriers, so that means we get to go to The Forest again!

Just foe fun, OTL brought the colour camera and a flashlight. Normally his camera doesn't have a flash light built into the camera, so he has to select one, depending on what he wants to do with it.

Today he wanted to play with 'Fill In Flash'!

Whatever!

So, there he was, under the tree branches, clicking away at the shadowy bits!

When you catch the light at the right angle the trees can look very wrinkly!

A Wrinkly Trunk!
This one is my favourite, there is a funny chris-cross pattern on the trunk, it almost looks like it has been knitted!

Knit a Tree?
It was rather hot all the way around and Holly sat down a couple of times and said that she was going to have a breather! I was on the lookout for squirrels but Holly said there was no way she was chasing anything today!

Chase a Squirrel? You must be joking!
I will admit, I was looking forward to having a drink when we got back to the car!

Nearly There!
So, tonight we are looking forward to a rest on the sofa and OTL has promised a nibble of shortbread, just a nibble 'cos he says that we must not be greedy!

Us? Greedy? Never!

See you tomorrow Woofers and don't forget to make sure you got enough water in this warm weather!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Bro Brambles!

Visit to the Harrietsham Ferret Resue Centre.

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr 'Bro' Brambles here!

The sunshine is back and we hear that it will be getting hotter as the week goes on!

The ferrets get an 'Ice Pack' tucked under one of their cushions when it gets too warm, that way they can choose where to snooze, in bed or on a hammock or on the cushion with the ice pack underneath to keep them cool.

We have noticed that they move around the beds they have, depending on how they feel!

Cool or Wot!

I think that Old Two Legs needs one of them strapped to his head 'cos he keeps forgetting stuff, like this morning, instead of picking up the 'colour' camera, he picked up the Black & White one, so, today we are in Mono!

We got to the car park and came storming out of the car and raced around the corner to see a field full of rabbits!

The only problem was, they were just too fare away and it was just too hot to chase them!

So we didn't!
Snowflake said that we should all go for a roll on the sea weed 'cos it was still wet and was really cool!

It's really cool in here!
The ferrets really love the grass path 'cos they ferret around in the grass and spend so much time sniffing for ferret sniffs!

We sat up the end of the path waiting for them. Of course they were not interested in hurrying up 'cos they were having so much fun!

That's it, Just There!
Holly and I were enjoying a rest in the sun while these two were having fun. In the end Snowflake came bounding up to me and called out, loud enough for Holly to hear........

Yo Sis! Been waiting long?
I could hear Holly going 'Humph! She looks nothing like you!'

Brambles came up and  called out 'Hey Sis, It's me, your Bro Brambles!'

Yo! Bro!
Holly was running out of Humph's!

Back home there was some freshly cooked chicken which went down a treat!

It was warming up and all of us decided to have a snooze, except OTL and The Missus who were off to the Harrietsham Ferret Rescue to hand over a donation from the ladies at the Allhallows Crop Cardathon!

Roy & Chris who run the rescue were tickled pink and said that it would go to help with the cost of feeding the ferrets and if they needed any vet treatment.

While OTL & TM were there Roy got a telephone call from a lady who had just moved into a house to find there were two ferrets in a cage with a note saying they (the previous owners) couldn't take the ferrets!

Just how horrid some TL can be! Roy said the lady could bring the ferrets along and he would take care of them. Now, there are two more mouths to feed and maybe they might need to see the vet and that all costs money!

Roy, TM and Chris.
Roy and Chris will be at the Kent County Show (10th -12th July) so, if you are going you can see some ferret racing and meet Roy, Chris and other ferret owners who will be able to tell you all about ferrets!

When OTL  and TM got back, Holly and I grabbed OTL and off we went to The Sea Wall for our (late) midday walk!

As soon as we got there we met up with a little woofer who was louder and woofier than Holly!

It was good that it was on a lead 'cos it wanted to get rough with Holly but he was held back!

Such a Noisy Woofer!
We had a great time on the beach and in the end we both sat down in the shade of the Sea Wall and watched the Christina sail out to sea. The Christina had been in Chatham Docks for over two years!

A cruise is OK but I'd rather feel the grass under my paws!
OTL was in a silly mood and said he would take a 'Selfie' just for fun.

We think it is too much sun!
Back home to a snooze and then we are off to mug OTL 'cos he has found another packet of Shortbread!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Bro Brambles!

Visitors!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

After yesterdays sunshine we thought that today would be more sunshine but you know what? It rained!

Well, OK, it wasn't much but it did rain!

This morning first thing we were down to the beach as normal but when we got there we found Bryn was on the beach sniffing around!

Both ferrets were in the bag and along came Bryn to say hello but he was getting just too excited about sniffing the ferrets tail!

Come on, let's have a sniff!
This time however, the ferrets said they were staying put and Bryn could go and sniff his own tail!

No, we're staying here until he's gone!
In the end he was called back by his owner and both ferrets were out and ferreting about having fun!

While Snowflake was dancing over the sea weed Brambles was digging his very own hole!

I just love digging!
Back home we had to get everything cleared up before our visitors arrived and when they arrived we gave them a big welcome and then we managed to mug them at lunchtime!

We decided to go down to the beach again later on in the day 'cos Miss Sassy and Tilly wanted to collect some shells and rocks.

We went to the rock pool and found a crab under the rocks and another who didn't make it until the next tide!

A Crab in his kingdom!
I found Brambles hole and was helping out by digging it a bit deeper when out the corner of my eye I spotted Holly Dog rushing along the beach and heading my way!

I'll give Brambles a hand with his hole!
Of course, as soon as Holly arrived she was trying to take over the hole!

Come on, I want to help as well!
Old Two Legs was playing with his camera and of course no one was safe!

First he sneaked up on Miss Tilly.

Miss Tilly
Then he got close to Miss Sassy.

Miss Sassy in the Mud!
Mrs G, also known as Ogg, (Don't ask, it's too long a story!) was saying she hated having her picture taken, so OTL just had to take her picture!

Ogg to her friends!
Mr G was more interested in brushing off the little flying bugs that were having fun landing on everyone!

I don't like Bugs!
So that's our Sunday, loads of fun and visitors as well!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles and .......

Guess who?
