TM gets her Mojo and we find a Wee'ing Rock!

Hello Woofers.

McDaisy, McHolly, Miss MacSnowflake, Miss MacApril and Miss MacMay here once more!

Well, today we have  had one of those lazy days. Mainly because both Holly and I have a Grumbly Tum, we reckon it was something Old Two Legs told us not to chew on the beach!

OTL says were on a 'Starvation Diet' until at least tomorrow, just to see what happens! No sausages, no mugging, no Doggy Scoff (Good!) not even a biscuit, this is all too much!

We have been down to the beach a few times, once with Miss MacSnowflake for her early morning walk. She had fun digging in the holes that the rabbits start over night. Dunno what they are looking for but it's fun sticking yer nose down the hole and kicking some sand out!

Then we accompanied Miss MacApril and Miss MacMay on a rampage along the beach where they enjoyed a 'Ferret' through the Marram Grass on the dunes at the top of the beach!

The Missus spent most of the day doing her 'Journal' that she started at 'Glenda's Master Class'. She has been busy slapping the glue and glitter all over the place and saying she has 'Got Her Mojo Back', whatever that is!

When she got up to make a cup of coffee, Holly jumped up for a look and she reckons she could do better!

Not bad, but I could do better!
Lunchtime we were out again and this time OTL brought a ball with him and Holly and I chased it all over the beach! There was a stiff wind blowing from the North which was blowing off the land, so the wind wasn't as cold as it could have been if it was coming off the sea!

We met up with a Two Legs who reckons that the Gulf Stream passes here and keeps everything warm, even in Winter!

Stuff the Gulf Stream, it's still too wet!
Holly even tried the streams that were running down the beach and decided that even they were just Too Wet for her!

No, it's still wet!
We spotted some Wormy Men digging on the beach and Holly reckons they just had to be keen to dig for worms on their holiday!

Wormy Mans Holiday!
Mind you, Holly found a big rock that had some small barnacles on it and it made a Super Back Scratch!

Of course, OTL thought she was rolling in something smelly, as if!

No, it's really not smelly, honest!
This evening the 'Fish & Chip Van' arrives, so we are going to be good little puppies and maybe we will get some muggings!

Holly has found a rock that she says is perfect for Bro Brambles Wee'ing Rock. OTL will have a look tomorrow morning when we go out for our walk.

So that's it for today, not the most busy but we still had some fun.

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

McDaisy, McHolly, Miss MacSnowflake, Miss MacApril and Miss MacMay

Thanks to you all!

Hello Woofers.

McDaisy, McHolly, Miss MacSnowflake, Miss MacApril and Miss MacMay here again.

First of all, a big loving thank you for all the kind words about Mr Brambles on here and on The Missus's FB page. He will certainly be missed by us all. He wasn't with us all his life but we are sure he enjoyed his time with us and we most certainly enjoyed his company. He was always first to the food bowl and the Ferretone and he certainly enjoyed our biscuits!

A lovely little man and a gentleman to the end.

Over this week we are going to hunt the sea shore for a special 'Wee'ing Rock' for him, a rock to be proud of!

On the campsite here we have tons of rabbits, The Missus was told that there must be at least two thousand and although Holly and I could never count to that much, we believe it!

There is supposed to be a big buck rabbit that sits outside the toilet block each night with his wives and children, you know it is his offspring 'cos they are black as well!

Chase me and I'll tell my Dad!
If only Old Two Legs would let me off the lead!

We keep meeting up with different woofers on the site and some say hello and others just walk past. One woofer said hello to us but when he saw OTL he nearly woofed his head off!

Seems he has a thing about new TL's!

I Don't Do New TL's!
Down on the beach Holly found a stick that was just right for throwing in the water. Holly decided that before it got wet, she would have a game of catch the stick first!

This is the proper way to play with a stick!
I managed to get it away from her in the end and OTL tossed it into the sea for me!

Periscope Up!
Holly was not amused and she sat on the beach and sulked for ages!

That was MY stick!
I meant to tell you about our trip to Portpatrick yesterday but Brambles sort of made me forget about it.

You see, we took TM to a Master Class in Portpatrick and then went back to the caravan to get Brambles cleaned up and sorted. We had been instructed by TM to pick her up at three, on the dot!

So, there we were, three exactly, waiting out side.

No TM!

Send her a message via SMS, 'We are here'!

Back comes a reply, 'Class finishes at four, Clear Off!'

So, off we go to the harbour.

OTL lets us off the lead and we go scampering over the rocks, investigating all the fishy sniffs!

It was then that I got stuck up on the rocks. Well, that's what I told OTL when I asked him to come and help me down!

Help! I'm Stuck!!!!!!!
OTL, being a clever sort of TL, calculated just how long it would take for him to get from the car to me to do a 'Mountain Rescue', then he set the delay on the camera and ran over to rescue me!

Just before he got to me, I jumped down and left him up there next to the rock!

Great fun!

Fooled Ya!
The wind was blowing a bit and the waves made a great crashing noise on the rocks!

All wet and splashy!
We went out this afternoon 'cos OTL had discovered a distillery close at hand and it is the most southerly distillery in Scotland! We found something for OTL but we'll tell you in a mo!

Getting back, we found both May and April sort of semi awake, that it, awake enough to say 'Hello' but not much else!

OTL got Holly and I on our lead then put the harnesses on the Page 3 Girls!

Miss April immediately dived into the bag, only to stick her head out and ask.......

Are we there yet!
We didn't stay on the sand for long and pretty soon we were into the grass where all ferrets love to sniff!

Not too fast, I might need a carry!
Miss May not only was sniffing in the grass but she started to excavate some stones out of a hole in the path!

Hang on, I can sniff something here!
Now, I was going to tell you what we found for OTL.

Well, there we were driving along after purchasing an incredibly expensive twenty two year old bottle of Single Malt from The Bladnoch Distillery, when, TM pointed out a sign that said there were some stones close and sure enough, there it was, a stone circle!

The notice said that they were put there four thousand years ago for some reason or other.

So, out OTL gets with his camera and starts clicking away. We have selected this photo 'cos it looks old, a bit like OTL really!

Very old stone circle.
Holly suggested we pinch one for Brambles, a really big Wee'ing Stone but OTL said it would be noticed!

See you all tomorrow!

Brambles has gone.

Hello Woofers.

McDaisy, McHolly, Miss MacSnowflake, Miss MacApril and Miss MacMay here.

Sorry about not doing a blog yesterday but there was so much going on we didn't have time to do it before we went to bed.

Yesterday Mr Brambles was not a happy ferret, he was a bit down 'cos he had a Grumbly Tum and he spent almost all day sleeping. Early evening when all the ferret cages were brought in he snuggled onto Old Two Legs arms for an extended cuddle and a slurp of Ferretone. He doesn't normally stay that long in OTL's arms and we put it down to his tum. When he did move it was back to have a nibble and then to bed for an early night.

Early this morning he tried to climb out to visit the Poo Pot, made it but we think he had a heart attack 'cos we found him slumped in the poo pot, dead. He had not long died 'cos he was still warm.

OTL closed Brambles eyes and did a check to see if there was any sign of breathing but there was none..

We have decided to bring him home with us to bury in the garden, where we can visit to tell him all what's going on in the house. OTL says he will select a suitable rock from the beach as a headstone and will use his tools to put an inscription on it.

OTL has washed Brambles back side and he is all clean and dry and wrapped up in a pillow case and two plastic bags and he has taken over the freezer compartment in the caravan fridge!

We reckon Mr Brambles was just over eight years old when he died, he came to us from the Harrietsham Ferret Rescue where he arrived from his last home. We don't know the full story but he has left some children to carry on the Brambles blood line!

We had the honour of him being with us for just over two and a half years in which time we all came to love his gentle ways. He was the perfect little gentlemen and never showed any bad habits. He loved his food and the treats he got to share with Miss Snowflake. He also loved sneaking into the kitchen and eating our 'High Protein Turkey and Fish Biscuits'.

He never once used his teeth on OTL and was more inclined to give OTL a good licking on his cheek!

He is going to be sadly missed by us all.

Mr Brambles.
See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

McDaisy, McHolly, Miss MacSnowflake, Miss MacApril and Miss MacMay.

Nearly! So very Nearly!

Hi Woofers!

McDaisy, McHolly, Miss MacSnowflake, Mr MacBrambles, Miss MacApril and Miss MacMay here!

You know, it has been a super sunny day today. Warm breezes and loads of sunshine!

In fact, it was so hot this afternoon we stayed in the caravan to enjoy the shade! The ferrets were in the waning, in the shade and even they said it was too hot to run about!

This morning Old Two Legs took the Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles out for a run on the beach while Holly and I had some fun on the sand as the tide was out. Then, back OTL goes and collects the Page 3 Girls for their run on the beach while Holly and I enjoy our second run of the morning!

Back at the caravan it was 'House Keeping Duties' for OTL before he was allowed to pack Holly and me in the car for an adventure!

We started off at a place called Port Logan, a very pretty harbour with a whacking great beach! I was straight into the water while Holly just sort of hovered about at the waters edge just wetting her claws!

Port Logan
We went for a long walk along the beach which was all sand and just a few rocks to sniff at!

Well, this one sniffs fishy!
Holly and I played chase all over the place 'cos OTL said it was 'Safe' on the beach and we couldn't get into too much trouble!

Holly got all big and brave and got her paws wet!

Thus Far and No Further!
You know, this place was so small that the Village Hall acted as a post office for any one who wanted to cash a cheque but it only opened twice a week and the place had one public telephone but we couldn't find a post box!

Port Logan from across the bay!
Next we went off hunting Stone Circles and Standing Stones! Now, OTL just loves these rocky places and gets all soppy trying to get 'Atmosphere'  when photographing them, so, when we saw a sign that said Kirkmadrine Stones, he thought he was onto a winner!

Off we went and after getting lost a couple of times we finally arrived at 'A Church!' Not a stone circle to be seen! The only standing stone was a cross outside the church which turned out to be a family grave! A number of grave stones have been pushed over and OTL says that it is because of a 'Health and Safety' thing. Holly says that what could happen, they were all dead so it's hardly going to do them any further harm!

Trying for a bit of Atmosphere!
We found out that the reference to 'Stones' were the carved stones found on the site and displayed in a glass fronted bit of the church. OTL tried to get a 'Reflection Free' shot of the details but there was too much sun and reflection, still, you can get the story.

This tells you what you want to know!
And this is one of the 'Stones' that OTL has enhanced to show the carving.

'Initium ET Finis'
And here is the story all about it!

Rock On!
We went for a tour around the farm land and we even saw a Buzzard on a fence post!

Back at the caravan we were all ready to tell The Missus about our adventures when we spotted those rabbits again and as we weren't on our leads, well the opportunity was just too tempting!

Off we went and there was rabbits flying about in all directions and Holly and I have a great five minutes 'Hunting Rabbit'!

We didn't catch any, but we got close!

More fun tomorrow!

Luv,

RSPB and all that!

Hi Woofers!

McDaisy, McHolly, Miss MacSnowflake, Mr MacBrambles, Miss MacApril and Miss MacMay again!

It has been another sunny day with blue sky's and little cloud!

Down on the beach we had some fun playing 'Find the.....'

Holly and I started it off by finding the ferrets. Now those ferrets can be really sneaky 'cos they dive into the grass, then run underneath the grass so you don't know where they are!

Find de Ferret!
After a bit we found both of the Page Three Girls curled up and pretending to be asleep! They said that it took us so long to find them that they just couldn't stay awake!

Next we played, 'Find the Woofer'

They just won't stay still!
Holly and I dived into the grass then did like wot the ferrets did! We crawled along on our tummy until we got half way down the beach!

Those Woofers are cheating , Again!
In the end it was Holly who got found first and to be honest, she got fed up waiting for the ferrets to reach her!

It's their legs you see, they just can't cover the ground at our speed!
Late morning we headed off to the RSPB site on the Mull of Galloway, it's right at the very end of Scotland and surrounded by very steep cliffs!

No, I'm not going any further thank you!
There is the Mull of Galloway Lighthouse next to the RSPB site but as Woofers were not allowed inside, we decided the Gallie Craig Coffee House was the place to be, and off we went, hop, skip and a jump and we were mugging Old Two Legs for some of his Bacon and Sausage Baguette!

No Doggy's Allowed!
After a cup of tea we went to see if we could see any Dolphins or Porpoises or Whales splashing about but we think they might have gone home for some lunch!

Us and OTL 'Whale Watching'!
Back at the caravan the ferrets got a treat, Chicken Fillets, not the ones we get but some soft strips and it was only Brambles who didn't eat his bit on account of his poor teeth, it is enough that he can still crunch a Ferret Kibble but to chomp away at a chicken strip is a bit of a chew too far! Well, look it like this, we went to Wales earlier in the year and a young Two Legs gave him a stroke without OTL seeing and Brambles didn't like it for some reason and bit the TL.

There was no blood but he gave him a couple of small bruises!

OK, we are off for a sniff around the beach before dinner.

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Old Rockers and The Port!

Hi Woofers!

McDaisy, McHolly, Miss MacSnowflake, Mr MacBrambles, Miss MacApril and Miss MacMay back here Again!

Today has been a 'Lazy Day' , a sort of 'Finish the Little Stuff'' type of day.

Old Two Legs over slept 'cos we didn't wake him up. The ferrets had a good night and left the Poo Pot Kicking until every one was awake and up out of bed!

MacApril and MacMay are playing a game with OTL, instead of using the Poo Pot for pooing, they are using it as an arena in which to do their play fighting. The poo is done down the other end of the cage, on the floor!

OTL is trying a new trick, take out the poo pot and just leave a shovel full of cat litter on the floor, let's see what they make of that!

It was super on the beach, the tide was well out and we didn't even get a sniff of water!

We all had a good time and OTL managed to get all his chores done and the ferrets all cleaned and stored out in the awning to get some fresh air and sunshine!

Holly Dog on Guard!
After lunch we headed off to investigate the local villages and ports. We enjoyed Portpatrick and The Missus and OTL even stopped for a bite to eat and a cool drink, Holly and I got to sit in the shade and we even got served some cool water in a drinking bowl!

We explored the viewing sites and at one we could even see Northern Ireland on the horizon. Holly and I didn't want to stay there 'cos it looked a long way down to the sea!

Yeah, seen it now let's go!
There was one place that was making a terrific Booming sound. OTL said it was the sea rushing up the gap and crashing on the end wall.

We didn't like that and quickly passed by!

Boom! Boom!
There were some fishermen on the rocks but we couldn't see how they would get any fish up the rocks!

Fishing for a Fishy for a Little Dishy!
We then headed off to the harbour or as the locals call it, 'The Port'. It was very clean and pretty!

The Port
There was a Two Legs sitting on a bench doing some water colour painting, of course, TM just had to go up and tell her how she was an artist and would use different colours and some glitter and Brusho Inks and the latest Sweet Poppy Stencil!

We were quite embarrassed 'cos we liked the painting and it looked dead good!

Two Artists and Us!
Looking out to sea there was a flag pole and an anchor but no ship! Very strange!

Ships Away!
Around the corner at the back of The Port, we spotted an arch over a water outlet, it could have been a stream but the arch and the gull on the other side made it look 'Interesting'!

OTL being an Artist!
We had fun laughing at the people walking around the Port, there were some motorcyclist on whacking big motorbikes. Trouble was, they were all well past retiring age!

Rockers?
OTL said they were 'Old Rockers', Holly said that they should all stick to rocking chairs!

Back home to grumble at the rabbits until tomorrow!

Almost forgot, Izzy, we are at the Caravan Club New England Bay site, so, can you remember where the best sniffs are?

See you tomorrow!

We're Here!

Hi Woofers!

McDaisy, McHolly, Miss MacSnowflake, Mr MacBrambles, Miss MacApril and Miss MacMay here!

Finally we are here and Old McTwo Legs has finally got it all set up and he is slurping on the first cold beer!

It all started on Monday morning, early, too early!

We were down the beach almost before the sun came up! You can tell that from the photo OTL took.

It's just TOO EARLY!
After a quick Wee and a Poo we all headed for home and the last bits to get stashed away, like, Ferrets and Woofers!

Now, we would have got away at nine, as planned but we had problems with the nose weight, that is, the caravan nose weight. You see The Missus was left to organise the packing, (after we had been sneaky) but when checked, the nose weight was too much, so we spent an hour re-arranging all the stuff in the caravan, trying to lighten the load!

Finally we got away but much later than we wanted to!

We were all singing songs on the way up and laughing at the rain 'cos it was making everyone slow down to forty miles an hour on the motorway! There was loads of it!

We stopped at a service station for a wee and a cup of tea, but before the tea OTL had to sort out one of the front blinds. It looks like we have had a leak or summat 'cos the screw holding the plastic frame had come loose, so OTL decided to remove the blind and get it fixed when we get back!

Having got that sorted TM said that the catch on the fridge had snapped off! What a start to the holiday!

Now, we always stop overnight at Gretna Green but this time we turned left at Gretna and headed on towards our destination, Drummore. Now OTL hadn't realised that Drummore is in fact a further one hundred miles away from Gretna! We had planned to arrive about five or six but it was such a slow journey that we had to telephone ahead to warn them we would be late!

We didn't arrive until nine thirty and by then it was pitch black! We had to stop overnight in the 'Late Arrivals' section which OTL said it was like being in the Naughty Corner!

The ferrets were taken into the caravan to sleep and Miss MacApril and Miss MacMay were so excited, not ever having been away on holiday before, started to have a play fight!

The only thing was, they did it in the Poo Pot! All the poo got thrown out and the cat litter got spread all over the place, including the caravan!

TM was not a happy bunny!

Talking of bunnies, while OTL has been putting the awning up and generally getting the caravan all sorted, Holly and I have been snoozing on the grass watching the rabbits. You see, us woofers must be kept on leads all the time and the rabbits have sussed it! The cheeky devils just sit there pulling faces at us!

Cheeky Little Bunnies!
Everywhere we went, there was a bunch of rabbits blowing raspberries!

Except of course, on the beach!

This is a BIG Beach!
You know, we reckon that this beach could even be longer and wider that the beach in Wales!

Of course, we are let off our lead on the beach so we can have a good run!

You know what? Even Holly got her paws wet!

Wet and soggy paws!
There were a couple of shallow streams crossing the beach to the sea and OTL said that the ripples made by the water running over the sand looked like snakes!

Well, if you sort of squint and close one eye they could be snakes!
We headed back to the caravan and those rabbits were still there, chomping away on the grass and not taking any notice of us!

If I ever get off this lead!
There was a big notice up at reception, Fish & Chip van calls Tuesday at five!

TM says it's a good idea to get some fish and chips and she even got out a bottle of Bollinger to help wash the chips down!

TM queueing and dreaming of a bottle of Bollinger!
So that's it for the moment, we are all here in the sunshine and a little wind and looking forward to getting back onto the beach tomorrow!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

McDaisy, McHolly, Miss MacSnowflake, Mr MacBrambles, Miss MacApril and Miss MacMay

Off Tomorrow!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Mr Brambles, Miss April and Miss May here!

Oooo! It's getting all exciting here, tomorrow we are off and today we have been packing things in the caravan and the car. Both ferret cages are in the car complete with Poo Pots and food bowls and water bottles! Old Two Legs has pinched the two corner sleeping bags that hang up in a corner of the cage, of course! That's why they're called Corner Sleeping Bags! They are now in the Holiday Cages.

The ferrets have to put up with a couple of round sleeping beds until the morning!

Miss May 'Fell' into Snowflake and Brambles cage this morning and silly girl, she woke Snowflake up, 'cos she stuck her nose in where Snowflake was sleeping and Snowflake didn't like it, and, that's when the fight started!

OTL was on hand to separate the pair and although there was a lot of noise, there was very little damage!

In fact, Snowflake had a cuddle with OTL then went back to sleep!

May was right put out and when she was put back into her own cage, she picked on April and had to go into the 'Naughty Cage' until she cooled down!

It was a bit cool and damp this morning when we went out for our walk and when we arrived, we spotted a couple of rabbits from the car.

That was it, Holly was woofing like mad to get out and chase them, and, as soon as OTL opened the car door, we were off like a couple of rockets!

Unfortunately, Holly's barking had scared the rabbits and they had headed back home, so, by the time we got out, they had gone!

OK, Where did they go?
We had a good time down on the beach, Holly found something to roll in and I got to dig a hole!

A woofer came along that we had seen before but never actually met, nose to nose!

OTL said hello to him and found out his name was Barney! So now we have Barney I, II and III!

The Names Barney, Barney De Woof!
To begin with he looked all too fierce but within a few seconds he was slobbering all over OTL!

He didn't hang about 'cos he was on a strict training schedule and needed to get going!

When we got up to the Sea Wall, Holly spotted Albert wandering along the path. Off she went, galloping along the wall and soon arrived where Albert was sniffing.

That was it, he stopped immediately and the pair of them danced about for a bit!

Albert and The Tart!
I think that Albert is a bit of a rough looking dog and I'm a bit wary of him. Holly on the other paw, she thinks he is a 'Sweetheart'!

Yeah! What ever turns you on Tart Chops!

Back home OTL has been sneaking our stuff into the caravan and the car. He has told us that all the nibbles, including some soft chicken strips for the ferrets, has been stashed away in the top cupboards. He has also managed to take some of The Missus's stuff from one cupboard and pile it into a cupboard that she has stored some other crafty stuff. That means she thinks she has more stuff than there is really there!

Crafty or wot?

Trouble is, when she finds out what has happened, it will be too late to go back home for more stuff, so, she will be wanting to go to Gretna Green Designer Outlet Centre for more stash!

Lunchtime it was raining. Not much but enough to get damp. April came out of the ferret bag, had a Wee and a Poo then climbed straight back and refused to come out until the car was in sight!

Miss May spent more time running and sniffing and getting wet! It was a good job that OTL had brought the towel with him 'cos we all got a good rub down when we got back to the car!

This way to the car, Holly's got the map!
Back home it was the final bits to be loaded and then we are all to have an early night 'cos we have to be up early in the morning!

So, bye bye for now and tomorrow the blog might be a little late, it all depends on the traffic on the road 'Up North'!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Mr Brambles, Miss April and Miss May.
