It's Poo Pot Kicking Time!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are, back again!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Fred and Wilma!

It's been a chilly day today! This morning Miss April spent most of the time she was out, trying to get back into the bag!

As Old Two Legs hadn't brought the camera there was no reason for us to hang about and we were all back home in no time!

Back home OTL set about cleaning the cages.

Now Fred just can't seem to get the hang of a Poo Pot, I mean, there are two pots covering just over half of the ground floor but somehow he manages to poo in between them, not once but several times!

Now this means that there is more poo to shovel and because it takes longer, Fred and Wilma are out of their cages longer for a super run around the office and a game in the ball crate!

This doesn't  sit too well with Miss May, she hates the thought of someone getting attention from OTL. She hates the idea that another pair of ferrets are playing in their territory! She also hates the sight of these two new upstarts wandering over to her cage and sniffing the bars!

She tears around her cage, up and down the floors giving Fred & Wilma the evil 'Hairy Eyeball'!

Not that Fred & Wilma care in the slightest, they both just love having all that space to run around in!

Wilma loves hiding in all OTL's camera gear and jumping out at him, this morning she grabbed him on the arm with her teeth and put four puncture holes in his arm. It was a good job she was just playing but there was a little bit of blood!

After doing the Page 3 Girls cage and starting on Fred & Wilma's cage, May was getting a real big strop on and was kicking her Poo Pots all over the cage, there was all the cat litter being kicked out of the cage and thrown all over the carpet.

OTL thinks that the chance of them coming together as one 'Super Group' is very unlikely!

Lunchtime we left them all asleep and headed of to the beach on our own. I had another look at the boat and decided that it was past floating on it's own, instead I reckon the waves are beating it to pieces evey time the tide comes in!

I think it has had it!
Holly, not being the nautical type, sat down, let out a big 'Stage Sigh' and said she 'Really was not interested'!

Do I look as though I care?
We headed off up the grass path and she was more concerned about the size of her tail!

Of course it's big, it goes with the size of your Butt!
That's when the fight started!

Heading back it was getting dark and the sun was going down and it was starting to get chilly again!

Sunset over Grain!
Back home Fred & Wilma woke up and said 'Hello' to OTL, got a slurp of Ferretone and Fred had a cuddle while Wilma was kicking seven sorts of poo out of one of the squeaky rubber balls!

She was sinking her teeth into it and then giving it a really good shake then biting it again!

Fred wandered off and did another poo, in between the Poo Pots!

We are not sure if he is having a game with OTL or he really hasn't got the idea of reversing into the pot!

Turn the light out as you leave, we want a snooze!
That's it today Woofers, we are off to watch the 'Extended Blu Ray' Hobbit film about the five armies.

Hey, where does Gandalf keep his armies?

Up his Sleevies'!

Luv,

Daisy, Holl, Miss May, Miss April Fred & Wilma.

OTL is back to Shoveling Poo!

Hi Woofers!

Ready?

It's, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wilma and Mr Fred!

Now, how about this?

May, Silver Jill                                                                                              April, Coloured Jill
Well, we all survived the night! Both sets of ferrets crashed out once Old Two Legs had got the bedding, food and water sorted out and we didn't hear a thing until seven this morning as it got light!

Fred and Wilma haven't got the layout of the cage yet so there were piles of poo in all the corners and a couple in the Poo Pots!

One of two things will happen, they will settle on a Poo Pot each or carry on pooing all over the place, giving OTL something to look forward to after breakfast every morning!

Fred, who asks we drop the 'Mr', has been playing with OTL. While cleaning the cage out, he and Wilma, yes, she wants to drop the 'Miss' as well, they both had the run of the office to explore and sniff. While they were doing that, OTL was working on the cleaning bit.

The bottom cage which contains a Poo Pot and a dogs bowel of water, was particularly well represented with Fred's calling cards! Every time OTL stuck his arm in to wipe it up, both Fred and Wilma would dive back in to see what he was doing! OTL, being the careful type and having a few Ferret Tooth Scars, decided to put them both in the Travelling Cage while he finished up!

Mind you, they still had fun exploring the office and discovering all sorts of stuff!

Look! Bum Wipes!
Both Fred and Wilma have been chasing the Cat Tease and Fred has been laughing (Dooking) his tail off! Wilma has discovered the basket full of Ping Pong balls and has given one a severe 'Mullering' !

They don't run away either!
We won't be taking them out for walks yet, not until they have had their Distemper injections, so that is something OTL has got to organise next week!

Until then they will have to put up with the Ping Pong Balls!

Wilma's Mullered Ping Pong Ball!
Our walk this morning was cold, very cold! It was -1 degree when we got into the car and we all called for the heater to be put on 'Full'!

Miss April wasn't too keen on running through the frosty grass and kept wanting to get back into the Ferret Bag! Miss May, being a bit hardier enjoyed herself and was jogging all the way back to the car!

Although the sun had got up, there was some super colour in the sky above Sheerness this morning and OTL had his Big Camera with him and took this shot.

Almost a silhouette!

It wasn't too long before Lunchtime arrived and we headed off to the beach again!

OTL decided to leave the ferrets at home 'cos they looked so comfortable all tucked up in their hammock!

I had a game of 'Bulldozers' which OTL says I copied from Miss May!

As if!
But it was a good game!

Chasing OTL!
OTL has been processing some of the pictures from yesterday and we picked some for the blog.

In this one he is telling May to 'Be Brave' and 'Keep your Tail Up!'

Be Brave my little one!
We like this one, the two winners looking tired after such a busy day!

Looking forward to a snooze!
Today we have been trying to train Archie Babes new ferret. He is a feisty thing and has already wreaked one cage. OTL had to use a cattle prod to keep him away while he welded up the cage bars! Still, we are expecting him to be tame enough to travel home without eating Archie Babe!

OTL says that instead of being called 'Nipper' he should have been called 'Munchie' 'cos he has munch his way through everything so far!

By the way, did you see me on Michael's blog yesterday?

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Fred and Wilma!

Wot a Day!

Hi Woofers!

We've just got back home, Daisy, Holly, Miss May and Miss April,    PLUS      Fred & Wilma!

Yes!, We have been joined by a Brother and Sister Polecat Ferrets!

OTL says that he has never gone out looking for pets but it is always left to fate to lend a hand!

This time we think that and angel called Chris had a little bit of a paw in bringing Fred & Wilma and OTL together!

It's a bit late for a full report of today's excitement but as well as two more ferrets, both May and April won awards in their classes, Silver Jill and Coloured Jill. Not first prize but very close, we were told that it was only three points or two in between first and fourth place!

The Missus tried to take a picture of OTL with their certificates but she isn't very good with the big camera, still she tried!

Miss May Third and Miss April Fourth!

Finally, may we present our new family members............

Fred & Wilma, (Fred is on the left)

Going from Left to Right, Fred, OTL and Wilma!
We haven't put them on the scales yet but Fred is a big lad, OTL says he could almost put a saddle on him and ride him around the garden!

More fun and games tomorrow and by the way, Archie Babe will have a new mate soon 'cos he won a ferret at the show!

We will get some pictures for you to see tomorrow, and it's called 'Nipper'!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Fred and Wilma.

Getting All Tarted Up for Tomorrow!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May and Miss April here!

It has been a busy day today, loads of running around and both ferrets have been to have their hair done and claws polished and loads of other stuff that needed to be done to present them as super looking ferrets for the show tomorrow!

We had a run on the beach this morning and even April was doing some 'Press Ups' on the Sea Wall!

Polly stopped to say how impressed she was with the exercise regime  and just how good they looked!

You Look Good!
After the press ups both ferrets headed over to the bush to get a bit of exfoliation!

A Little Exfoliation
Barney No. 2 saw them after they had finished and even he was impressed. In fact he asked which bush they used so he could try it on the way back!
You look the business Girls!
Soon we were heading back for home and saw a flock of geese heading North to the feeding grounds in Norfolk where they will be staying for the Winter.

Can't stop but best of luck for tomorrow!
Back home to a big bowl of Lambs Heart and a snooze.

OTL had to go out this afternoon so The Missus took us down the beach. She didn't bring the ferrets 'cos they were having their 'Beauty Sleep' so they would be all fresh and cuddly for the show!

When OTL finally came back we could sniff some seriously good sniffs on him, he had been to the Doggy Shop!

As well as all the normal treats, he had got Holly and me a meat filled bone! It was super! Holly and I were straight up onto our cushions and were giving it some wellie!

Good OTL, he knows how to make us happy! We may even take the bones with us tomorrow so we can have a gnaw while we are under the table!

Now, we are off to see what is for dinner and then off to bed early so we can be up early for the show!

See you all there!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May and Miss April.

Polly gets a Shock!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May and Miss April.

Wot a Grey Old Day it's been down here in North Kent.

We went out first thing and didn't see any sunshine at all, not even a beam of sun light through the clouds!

In fact the beam of sunshine we did see was young Barney No. 2 who came bounding along the Sea Wall to say 'Hello' to the ferrets!

Hello Girlies!
Miss May was busy playing 'Bulldozers' in the sand!

Brrrmmmmm! Brrmmmm!
Miss April had done a sneaky, while Old Two Legs was down on the sand playing with May, April climbed up and got into OTL's jacket pocket!

This is better!
When we got to the Grass Path, Holly and I went off for a sniff but had to wait for the ferrets to finish their sniffing but they do take so long!

Even Mr Brambles didn't take this long!
When we got to the top of the path we heard the gentle pad of paws and little Polly arrived to say hello. The ferrets were on the ground and as Polly got close for a sniff, Miss May jumped forward and bumped into Polly's nose which surprised Polly so much she sat back on her tail!

Holly said that you have to be careful when a ferret is close 'cos you don't know what they are going to do!

Hello my Favourite Ferrets!
We had a visitor today, Auntie Chris who has come over to see us and play 'Glue Slapping' with The Missus. She said 'Hello' to the Page 3 Girls and even had a stroke when OTL got them out of their beds where they were snoring their heads off!

We were going to all go out for a walk but the rain started and Holly and I snuggled further into our cushions and the ferrets almost disappeared under their bedding as well!

Not that it saved them 'cos a bit later, like two thirty, OTL said there was a break in the rain and we were off in the car, together with our towel and rain coats!

We did notice that he didn't take his camera, he didn't want to get it wet!

Just as we got out of the car we met up with Bonnie, she is the Staffy that had an operation on all her Dew Claws. She said it was all healing up thanks and really didn't bother her any more.

OTL had brought the Ferret Bag and Miss April was refusing to come out 'cos the ground was wet and she doesn't do wet, just like Holly Dog!

OTL got her out a couple of times for a Wee, a Poo and a run, but she really just wanted to stay in the bag!

Back home the ferrets had a 'Rampage' in OTL's office. May was climbing up onto the desk top, then doing runs across the keyboard on both computers, making a big mess of OTL's work!

Both ferrets have been in and out of Snowflakes cage exploring all the bedding and Poo Trays. They said that if OTL does it up and re arranges some of the shelves, they may move in!

OTL wanted to know if they had arranged a mortgage yet!

Pretty soon even they got tired and headed back to bed for a snooze before going to bed for the night!

We are all looking forward to the Harrietsham Ferret Show on Saturday and OTL says that Miss May is in top condition. Miss April looks good but because she is a bit smaller than May she doesn't look so 'Rounded' like a ferret should look as Winter arrives!

OTL says that's because she spends too much time in the ferret bag instead of jogging along the Sea Wall!

We are off now to see what there is to mug.

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly,Miss May and Miss April.

Sunshine Today!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May and Miss April back again!

This morning we got up a bit later than normal, that's because The Missus was up even earlier and we weren't woken up by her snoring!

Mind you, Old Two Legs was making enough noise for all of us!

It was good to see the sun again, all the clouds were blown away by last nights wind which although it was blowing hard, it was very warm! I mean, November and we get warm winds!

Crazy!

Good Morning Mr Sun!
On our way down to the beach we met up with Barney No.2, he was tickled pink to see OTL and ignored us!

Yo OTL!
The Half Boat was still there and May went in to see if there were any Hammock Hooks for April to hang her bed on but had no luck. She said that if April wanted sleep on board she would have to bring her own hooks as well as her bed!

No Hooks Here!
That was it, April decided that if there was no hooks and no hammocks on the boat then she wasn't going sailing on the Half Boat!

No thanks, I'll stay on shore thank you!
Along the Sea Wall both ferrets were having a race to see who could get home first but it was a tie in the end 'cos both their leads were the same length!

I'm Winning!
Back home Holly and I had some chicken waiting for us and Holly, being a bit of a joker said that the chicken tasted a bit like ferret!

Naughty Holly!

We were mooching about in OTL's office and I found Snowflakes Egg, it's a toy that shaped like an egg, it rattles if you shake it. Snowflake loved this toy and always took it to bed with her and she hid it during the day.

I found it in the bag of squeaky toys in the 'Pets R Us' bag!

So I've decided I'll look after it for her until another ferret 'Finds' it!

Look, Snowflakes Egg!
We all went out lunchtime and had a super stroll along the Sea Wall, we found the waders that the Wormy Man had left over the bench.

The  Girls had a good sniff and said that it sniffed of Worms, so, we reckon The Worms got him and he is now getting lessons on not digging for worms!

Still no Wormy Man!
Back home April was soon asleep but May was more interested in charging about the office and rolling about on our cushions!

Holly and I had to stay in the bedroom, resting on the bed, until May was ready to go for her afternoon snooze, mind you, OTL's bed is rather comfortable!

OTL has ordered a new Ferret Bag for May and April with their embroidered names around a picture of a ferret!

With a bit of luck, that will be with us next week. So that means they can go out in their very own Ferret Bag!

We are off now to see what OTL had for dinner and if it is worth mugging him for it!

Last night we had to watch a cooking program and one of the cooks burnt an onion and called it 'Caramelized', OTL said that there was nothing special about that at all 'cos TM always Caramelises his dinners!

That's when the fight started!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May and Miss April.

Thanks.

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May and Miss April here.

First of all, a big thank you to everyone who has left messages on this diary and on The Missuses Face Ache page. You are all so kind and understanding of just how much Miss Snowflake meant to us all, especially Old Two Legs.

She is now resting, cuddled up to Mr Brambles and sharing his Wee'ing Rock!

OTL will have a couple of ferrets to talk to when he is in the garden doing to weeding!

This morning the Page 3 Girls were out with us, checking on the sniffs and generally ferreting around.

We met up with one of the Huskies who did ask Old Two Legs if the ferrets tasted of chicken but he was smiling at the time, so we think he was playing a game with them!

Do you think they taste like......?
Miss April said she wasn't taking any chances and ran off to hide in the long grass!

You got to catch me first!
OTL picked both ferrets up and we walked on until they felt it was safe to get down. Mind you, they did keep looking over their shoulders, just in case!

I think we got away!
Down on the beach we were hailed from the Sea Wall by Barney No. 2 who wanted to come down onto the beach for a game but his Two Legs wouldn't let him 'cos the ferrets were investigating the 'Half Boat'!

Yo Girlie's!
Miss April did some investigating underneath inspecting the hull for barnacles!

No Barnacles here!
Mind you, April did say that she doesn't do wet and would leave any sailing on the water to some one else!

Miss May was still ferreting around inside and said there were no soft beds to sleep on! Holly said she needed to bring her own hammock!

OK, where do I hang the Hammock!
As we headed home, we met up with Young Poppy who told us that she had written to Father Christmas and has put 'A Ferret' on the top of her list, ahead of Bones, Biscuits, Treats and Toys!

I really want a Ferret as a mate!
Back home we all headed for our beds for a snooze while OTL did his work and The Missus headed off with Auntie Helen to do a 'Raid' on the local 'Craft Shop'!

Now, did we tell you about the Ferret Show being held this coming Saturday 21st?

It's being run by the Harrietsham Ferret Rescue to help feed and look after homeless ferrets until they can find a 'Forever Home'

Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles both won rosettes in their classes and we are hoping that May and April will keep up the good record!

The show is open to members of the public who wish to see what ferrets are all about!

The show is open at 09:00hr for booking in and the judging starts at 10:00hr.

There is hot and cold food being served all day and there is a Tombola with fantastic prizes!

Loads of free parking space, full details on the Harrietsham Web Site

Come along and meet us all!

May and April will be there in their 'Competition Cage' and Holly and I will be under the table 'cos we are not classed as ferrets!

Lunchtime we were back down the beach again 'cos the Page 3 Girls are in training for the show and are out jogging twice a day now!

We got going along the Sea Wall but came across a pair of 'Waders' as used by the Wormy Men when they are dancing in the mud. Problem was, no Wormy Man!

Do you think he has left them behind or have the Worms ganged up and attacked him and have thrown his boots back onto dry land?

Boots but no Wormy Man!
It was about then that the rain started. Miss April climbed up OTL's trouser leg and got into his jacket pocket, so she was warm, dry and snug!

Holly, May and I were left to trot back to the car 'cos we didn't want to get soaking wet!

I'm off, I don't do wet!
We all got a rub down in the end and enjoyed a long snooze on our cushions while the ferrets mugged OTL for some Ferretone!

Early to bed tonight 'cos we have got to be up early for another jog along the Sea Wall, May's training schedule is getting to the crucial part now!

Mind you, April reckons she will win 'cos she is so cute!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May and Miss April.

Miss Snowflake has gone.

Hello Woofers,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May and Miss April here.

Today we had to say goodbye to Miss Snowflake.

As you know, she has been having trouble with a bone growth on her ribs, just where they join the spine.

When she first arrived here the lump was as big as Old Two Legs little finger nail but over the three years she has been with us it has just kept on growing.

The vet reckons it could have been the result of 'Trauma' which could be a fight with a rabbit or something like that. She was used as a 'Working Ferret' before she came to us, so we reckon that's what happened.

December 27th, when she poked her head out from under the shed and Holly and I thought she was some sort of white rat that was trying to invade our territory, we didn't realise just what a change we all were going to get!

OTL started off with removing seventy four ticks (nasty little blind, flesh eating spiders) from her. Then while OTL was running around looking for her owner, she settled into a comfortable life in the shower, well, we didn't have any cages for ferrets then!

Once we found the owner and he passed ownership to us Snowflake started a life of fun, she learnt how to climb all over the house and even had a go at playing the banjo!

She was a bit of a pickle to begin with and it took six months for her to stop sinking her teeth into OTL's hands! I think she just got fed up with the sniff of TCP!

She just loved going out for a walk with us, on her lead with a special harness OTL got for her.

She was joined by Brambles, a lovely Sandy Hob and the pair settled down to an idyllic life together. If they weren't chasing each other then you would find them having cuddles together.

Sadly we lost Brambles to old age a couple of months ago.

Just of late the bone growth has been getting bigger and there was nothing that could be done to stop it. In the last few days it started to put pressure on her spine and although she did not appear to be in pain, her back legs and paws became a problem when she tried to walk.

Today was to be a visit to the vet to get another jab but the way she was walking made it obvious that her condition would never improve and she would soon be in pain.

OTL had brought the Ferretone with him and Snowflake was making a real pig of herself licking the stuff up from the lid!

Well, she didn't even feel the tranquilizer injection and she slowly fell asleep still slurping her favourite treat!

She had managed to do a big poo on the table and OTL picked her up and wiped  her butt clean, gave her a kiss and handed her to the vet.

So Snowflake drifted off peacefully and with no pain at all. OTL brought her back home and now she is in the big flower pot with Brambles, cuddled up next to him.

OTL spent the afternoon cleaning and disinfecting Snowy Heights and now it's all done it seems so empty and quiet.

We are all going to miss her terribly.

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May and Miss April.

Snowfllake Gets a Strop On!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss May and Miss April here!

Old Two Legs and The Missus were up terribly early today, in fact it was so early that Holly and I went back to sleep!

The ferrets all stayed asleep,so you can tell how early it was!

It was still dark when we were bundled into the big car, but not the ferrets!

Off we went and on the way we worked out that we were picking up Auntie Helen and then off to pick up some mates and then they were off to play Glue Slapping in Maidstone.

What ever turns you on!

Back we went and today we didn't pick up Snowflake 'cos she is having difficulty with her back legs, so she stayed in bed!

We got down to The Sea Wall and spotted what we think is a 'UFO', that is a Unidentified Ferret Object!

It looked like it was hovering over the top of Sheerness!

Look! It's a UFO!
OTL said that it wasn't an UFO, it was a Star!

Wot?

We got a move on and headed towards The Beach 'cos that is across the river from Sheerness. When we got there it looked like the UFO had turned up it's engines and was about to leave, but there was no noise!

5-4-3-2-1-Lift Off!
OTL was still going on about it being a Star and we didn't think he was looking at the same thing but he said it was the Sun shining through the clouds and of course, the Sun is a Star!

Holly said that it may be the Sun but a UFO was more interesting!

On our way to the beach we noticed that the breakwater had a couple of planks missing and it will be interesting to see what that will do to the sand and shingle on the beach!

Two Planks Missing?
We started to head for home when Holly spotted a Woofer in the distance. She knew who it was and sat down to wait.

It's Bert!
WE hadn't seen Bert for some time, so we all had a chase around, but not very far 'cos he has to be kept on a lead!

Hello Little Girl!
Holly, being the Tart, was jumping around in front of him and being all Soppy!

Can't catch me!
In the end Bert had to carry on his walk even though he would have rather stayed with us!

Bye Girls, see you again soon!
Back home Snowflake was busting to get out and after a quick charge around the office, she settled down to a drink of her Lactose Free Milk.

Miss May was going potty trying to get out but Snowflake ignored her, until she had finished the milk.

Then is started, she was up at May's cage, rattling it with her paws and telling that she would 'Sort May Out' if she came out!

After her cage was cleaned, OTL put Snowflake back and let out the Page 3 Girls, May was straight up to Snowflakes cage and started calling her to 'Come outside and we'll sort it out!'

OTL kept picking May up and taking her out of the office to try to calm them both down!

It didn't work!

In the end he had to hang a blanket over Snowflakes cage so they couldn't see each other!

You could hear Snowflake muttering but in the end even she climbed into bed and fell asleep!

Holly and I had some chicken waiting for us but we let it get cold 'cos it was such fun watching the pair of them trying to fight through the cage bars!

Lunchtime we took the Page 3 Girls with us for a walk. At first they were all snoozy and really wanted to go back to bed but a bit of sea air soon got their noses twitching!

May was rushing about having a game of 'Chase' with OTL while April spent most of the time trying to get OTL to pick her up again!

This is a good place to wee!

We noticed that the 'Half Boat' had slipped further down the beach but it hadn't floated off yet.

Miss May said that she thought, if we all pushed together, we could float it away with the tide.

OTL pointed out that we would all get our paws wet, Holly backed off straight away and April said we were 'On our own!'

Ho well, maybe next time!

If we all shoved together?

We have just got a phone call from TM, seems like she is ready to be picked up in the big car. OTL did suggest she get the bus home.

I think he will be on Doggy Scoff for the next week or two!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss May and Miss April.
