A Day of Sniffs!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and not forgetting Freddy de Ferret are here again!

Old Two Legs was up very early this morning, he had loads of stuff to do before we went out, like clean the ferrets cages as well as have breakfast!

You see it is one of those 'Master Class Days' and The Missus wanted the little car to get all the stuff up the hall and OTL was instructed to collect a couple of 'Students' from the railway station in Strood just before nine!

We decided to leave May and April in bed after they had their run around. Well, it was not really a run around. April had a wander about after her medications and ended up in one of the drawers where she sort of fell asleep!

May on the other paw was trying to start a war with Wendy through the bars of Wendy's cage. Now Silly Wendy got caught by May through the bars who was hanging onto the back of her neck with her teeth!

OTL had to prise them apart and May ended up in the 'Naughty Cage' before being put back in her clean cage, where she then set about kicking the bedding all over the place!

So, there was OTL, on his knees, inside Wendy's cage, clearing up the nights evidence when there was a big kerfuffle over at May's cage.

There was Wendy and May having 'Tooth Fencing Warfare' through the cage bars!

Now it was Wendy's turn for the 'Naughty Cage'!

OTL was having no nonsense this morning, he had too much to do!

Off we went down to the beach, in the big car and as May and April were at home, we had a chance to chase a rabbit or two and hunt some sniffs!

Yellow Filter?

The clouds were rather dark and OTL reckoned that it may have a been a good idea to bring the Yellow Filter, but he didn't so we have a 'coloured' photo that looks more like a Mono picture!

While OTL was trying to be 'Artistic' Holly and I were investigating the remains of a fire that someone had been burning last night. Looking at the bits of rubbish left there we decided  it was some fishermen 'cos there were strips of fishy sniffing stuff they use instead of worms! Mind you, we prefer worms cos' they are better to roll in!

Back home Holly and I had some Lambs Heart while OTL went off to do his 'Taxi' job!

Of course, after a big bowl of food all Holly and I were interested in doing was sleeping!

Lunchtime both Freddy and Wendy were awake and waiting to go out for a run. Down on the beach it was still cloudy but now there was a little rain in the air. That means OTL's camera was getting wet every time he got it out of his pocket to take a picture!

Yuk! Now it's raining!

Both ferrets decided the best place to be is in the ferret bag and the chased OTL along the beach!

Wendy decided to have a good roll in the Sea Kale while we were waiting for Freddy to finish sniffing at something under the sea weed!

This is Greaaaat!

Back home we watched some TV while OTL was reading the 'Ferret Book' for some advice on Ear Mites. Wendy is showing evidence in her ears of mite infestation. There is more ear wax than normal even after three days of washing! So, OTL has put some powder in her ears which was first sold back in 1907!

It seems to be working and OTL will be giving her ears another wash on Sunday. All the other ferrets seem to be clear at the moment but they all had a dusting, just in case!

Tonight OTL has got curry, so not much mugging for us except a bit of soggy Nan Bread!

April seems a little brighter today and has been taking her meds and even managed a little game with OTL, so, claws crossed!

Tonight we have been promised the first dose of Anti Tick stuff, so that means that the Scottish Holiday is about a month away!

The Weekend is here!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and the Fabulous Freddy de Ferret are here again!

OK, I know it's Friday and the weekend hasn't officially started but it just feels like it!

We still haven't got the cameras back from the mender but Old Two Legs reckons to get them tonight.

This morning we were out with May and April and OTL noticed that April just wasn't herself. She is normally fighting May and pinching the food May tries to stash away but this morning all she wanted to do was go to sleep in the drawer!

OTL took her with us down to the beach but she just wanted to get back in the bag, so OTL let her climb in and do the 'Walk' sitting in the ferret bag on OTL's hand and poking her head out the top so she can see what was going on!

Miss May was her normal 'Rush About' self and had great fun trying to trip Holly up by running between her legs and wrapping the lead around them!

It nearly worked!

Back home we got a visit from Auntie Sheila who we gave a big welcome lick on the nose! She had come to play 'Glue Slapping' with The Missus and generally make a mess with the glitter, as usual!

OTL had to go out and didn't expect to get back until late this after noon so we had to look forward to TM taking us across the Farm!

OTL got back just after four which was just as well 'cos he had taken the laptop to do some programming of radio stuff.

That means I don't have much time to get this blog up and running!

Mind you, it would have been worse if I had to do the pictures as well!

April is still sleeping, which is not too unusual for a ferret, but when OTL came in all she wanted was a cuddle, and a slurp of Ferretone!

We are hoping she will feel better tomorrow.

May is giving her cuddles in their bed and keeping an eye on her!

A Little Splash of Fun!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

It has been a bit of a damp day here in North Kent. It started this morning when Old Two Legs was putting us in the car ready to go on our morning walk. he had his 'Spring Jacket' on which is not water proof, wind proof but not water proof. So, what happened as he was settling us all down? Yep! It started to rain!

So, while we were waiting in the car, he rushed back indoors and changed his coat for a water proof one and to get his hat!

Off we went with our claws crossed that the rain would stop when we got to the beach and you know what?

It didn't!

Mind you it didn't get any worse so we all ran off looking for some sand to roll in!

OTL has taken his cameras down to the mender to get the CCD cleaned. It's the bit that the light hits and gets transformed into a picture in the camera. Changing the lens allows very small bits of dust to stick on the picture and as OTL says, 'There is only so much you can do with Photoshop'!

Well, that means that we don't have a camera for our use for two or three days!

OTL was thinking of taking the video camera but reckons that two woofers, two ferrets and a video camera was just too much!

April and May had some fun digging trenches while Holly and I went off in search of smelly sniffs!

Now, I have a funny to tell you all. Yesterday Holly and I got presented with a doggy biscuit in the shape of a bone. We do love these and when we bite into them they explode in a load of crumbs!

Now, our favourite place to eat them is on OTL's bed, well sort of IN as well as on top. In fact, I love to sit on his pillow and eat them and then hide it under the duvet so I can come back to it later.

OTL and The Missus don't like Holly and me doing things like this 'cos the crumbs sort of get pushed down under the duvet and spread out!

OTL gets into bed and says that it is like getting into a bed made of sand paper!

Out he gets turns on the light and spends the next half an hour grumbling at us while he and TM brush all the crumbs out of the bed!

You know what? They don't even save the crumbs so Holly and I can have a nibble before going to sleep!

We think it is going to be fun when the ferrets find the duvet and start stashing all the food they have pinched from our bowls and their food bowls and all the stuff they pinch from OTL's tool box as well!

Well, that's all for today, we are off to see what we can mug off OTL!

A Lazy Day.

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and of course, Freddy de Ferret!

Well, today we have been lazy, it started this morning when we decided not to wake Old Two Legs up until six thirty. Poor old duffer was all worn out by the running around yesterday!

Today there are no appointments, so he can carry on plonking away on the computer with no one to disturb him, except us of course!

Down on the beach this morning, I fancied a really good run so I told OTL to get the ball out!

He didn't have the ball with him, so, I gave him another option!

Throw the Woofin' camera!

Well, that didn't work!

May and April decided that instead of digging holes, they would have a bath in the Sea Kale plant that is still growing on the beach!

Better than a Wet Bath with Soap and Water!

Back home we had some Lambs Heart waiting for us!

Both Holly and I almost finished the whole bowl! Mind you, we left a few scraps for later on this evening, if we can wait that long!

OTL has been keeping an eye on the weather 'cos we are expecting rain. Using the computer we can see where the rain clouds are and with a little bit of luck, OTL works out when it is safe for us to go out at lunchtime!

We had some fun winding Miss Wendy up! We told her that OTL just loves to see us all digging in the sand and to get on his good side we needed to throw some sand about!

She fell for it!

OK, OK, I'm digging!

After a while she stopped 'cos we were making so much noise giggling!

Wendy was not a Happy Ferret and said she would bite our tails off and use them for tooth picks!

OK, I'll get my own back, just wait and see!

The Postman arrived just after lunch, he had two parcels for The Missus which were full of Crafty Stuff which made her very happy!

OTL wasn't so pleased with his post.

He got three invoices and a Tax Return Form from the Inland Revenue!

That has made him grumpy 'cos as well as the VAT calculations, Income Tax Form really confuse him!

Poor Lad!

Not sure what is for dinner tonight but Holly and I reckon we will do some serious mugging, just to get a bit of nibbles to add to our Lambs Heart!

We reckon that we are lucky 'cos we don't have to go to the Poodle Parlour until later this month, so with a bit of luck it will be warmer than it is now!

Poor Archie Babe, Izzy and Hamish are all freezing, we reckon that is terribly cruel to have to get a hair cut this early in the year!

Right, we are off to see what is cooking!

We got visitors and OTL disappears, again!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

We have had a great day today, well us woofers did but Old Two Legs has been dashing around like a Blue Tailed Fly!

It started off when we were out on our morning walk, OTL gets a panic phone call from one of his customers and has to dash off as soon as the ferrets cages had been cleaned!

While we on the beach May was dashing about all over the place and went hunting in the sea weed.

OTL said that she looked just like Snowflake did when she was hunting in the sea weed!

Could even be Snowflake!

 Before we headed back home Holly and I were sniffing out and interesting new sniffs for our visitors!

Here's an interesting one for our mates!

I found a really good one that was 'Super Smelly' and I was almost tempted to have a roll myself!

Oooo! This is SUPER!

 OTL disappeared to go and see his customer while Holly and I settled down to wait for our visitors.

Now, we have met Izzy before when she was down here a few months ago but we were expecting to see Hamish who lives at the same house. We also were looking forward to meeting Rizzo who lives just a bit down the coast from us. Now, she should be at home with the sniffs from North Kent!

Finally they arrived and off we went to the Sea Wall and we were off  'Sorting Sniffs' !

 Down on the beach we had a great time investigating all the sniffs Holly and I had marked this morning. I was dead impressed with Rizzo who has a super sensitive nose and she even found a couple Holly and I missed!

 I tried to get everyone in for a swim but it was only me who likes water, all the other woofers didn't want to even get their paws wet!

 We found out that OTL had got home just before we did 'cos he had taken Freddy and Wendy out for a run on the beach. They haven't been out for a couple of days so they were in need of some fresh air!

Unfortunately he didn't take the camera so you have missed out of seeing Freddy surfing on the waves and Wendy playing Paw Ball!

Who Looks a Wally Then?

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Mr Freddy de Ferret!

Well, it has been one of those 'Busy Busy' days for Old Two Legs. In fact he didn't take any pictures while we were out 'cos he said he was 'All Behind like a Woofers Tail'!

He spent all morning shouting at the computer again and then was off to get the Little Car back from the menders and straight after dropping The Missus off to drive it home again, he was off down to Herne Bay to pick something up that he needed urgently!

Of course, that means TM had to take us out for our lunchtime walk, over the farm instead of down the beach, stills we got a nose full of new sniffs!

OTL arrived back but he was in only for a couple of minutes 'cos he loaded the car up with all the bits and headed off to one of his customers.

Now, OTL gets into some strange places with his business and some of his tales are very hard to believe and we say he is making it all up!

So, today, he says he had to get dressed up in a fluorescent Pink Coat, which we could hardly imagine, OTL In Pink!

Today when he came in he still had on some of the gear he had to wear today.

A Wally or Wot?

We just couldn't stop laughing!

Holly and I were on our backs kicking our legs and laughing our tails off! Can you imagine him with a Pink Jacket on, AND those things on his head?

I think we will stay at home!

Sunny Sunday!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret back again!

Today has been a good day.!

Holly and I enjoyed a really good lie in bed while Old Two Legs breakfasted with the ferrets, as normal.

Today Miss May was being a right little pickle! While OTL was sorting out Aprils meds, May was tearing about all over the office. First she tried to pick a fight with Wendy but she wouldn't get out of bed!

Then she tried getting into every tight place in the office, starting off with a cardboard tube that was blocked one end but that didn't stop her from trying to dig her way out!

Then she dashed over to my cushion and got underneath to start hiding my toys but then she heard Wendy scampering about her cage and out came May at the speed of light!

The Ferrets Just Gone!

OTL, being a sneaky sort, managed to sort of catch her as she headed off to the door of the office to do a poo on the carpet!

She always does that, just to wind OTL up 'cos she thinks it a great big laugh to see OTL Shovelling Poo!

Yoo Hoo! It's Poo Time!

Down on the beach the tide was in but the waves were gentle so Miss May played at paddling in the shallows.

April was going to play but managed to get OTL to pick her up for a carry up to the grass path!

'I'm a Fast Ferret and you can't Catch Me!'

 Holly thought of a good wheeze, 'Let's pretend there is a sniff on the beach and you roll in it and I tell OTL!'

I thought it was a good idea and proceeded to give the sand a real good roll!

Holly did her 'Holly Good Paws' and ratted on me.

OTL bellowed 'NO!' but I ignored him until he came striding up to me, whereupon I jumped up and said 'Gotcha!'

 Being Sunday and sunny and warm and bright, there were loads of people down on the sea front and of course they all wanted to stop and say 'Hello' to the ferrets.

Holly and I got right bored with the whole thing, I mean, we just can't go out without all the Two Legs going Ooo and Ahaaa!

Dead Boring if you ask me!

It was the same at lunchtime and there were three TL's who even wanted to take a picture of the ferrets all wrapped up in OTL's arms!

Back home OTL was still spending time trying to make the computer talk to the electronic box without any success. In the end he decided that he had the wrong programming lead!

So, first thing tomorrow he is off to get the correct one!

We don't like the idea of poor Archie Babe being starved, I mean, Holly and I know just what that feels like and it's not nice!

Mind you, OTL tells us we may meet up with Izzy, Hamish and Rizzo next week for a rampage around on the beach, now that will be fun!

It's a shame about Michael's cold, maybe he got it over Easter, you know having an outside shower is to blame, too cold and drafty!

We watched the F1 racing and there was a big groan in our house 'cos just as the race was about to start, the satellite box stopped working and TM had to reboot it!

TM was not happy!

All the ferrets are tucked up in bed now so I'm off to mug OTL for a nibble before it gets too late!

OTL has been a right boring old Two Legs today!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

Wot a super sunny day today!

Summer is on it's way!

 We got down the beach good and early 'cos Old Two Legs and The Missus were up at some terrible dark time in the morning to get the little car down to the menders before TM went off to the Village Hall for her Master Class today!

We got woken up, then told to go back to bed again while they went off with the cars. No explanation, just 'Sit' and 'Stay'!

OTL came back and then it was off down the beach.

There was no one about, just us and May went into 'Woofer Mode' and dug a big hole in the sand while April went sniffing along the waters edge!

This is a 'Hole' lot of fun!

Following Aprils lead, May went dashing off to play with the waves, running in and out in time with the waves and this time she didn't get her paws wet!

Can't Catch Me!

 Holly and I were patrolling up and down the beach looking for sniffs but couldn't find any new odours to excite us!

Sniff Patrol!

Back home we had a super bowl of Lambs Heart which Holly and I devoured in no time! Now we always get a treat after finishing off our food. TM normally gives us a carrot or a teeth cleaning chew or even a big Jumbone Chew, which Holly and I think is the Dogs Do Dar's!

Well, there he was, OTL, in his office working away on some electronic box of bits and the computer.

I went up behind him, jumped up and gave his chair a good shove!

Then, when he had turned around, I started to 'Talk' to him!

After a short while he got the message!

Off we went down stairs and he got out three teeth cleaning chews.

Three!

Holly and I both thought we were in luck but OTL gave one each to Holly and me then he chopped the remaining one into four.

Of course, they were for the ferrets!

OTL says that the ferrets teeth have improved no end by chewing the chews and while they won't get rid of a discoloured tooth it will help to get rid of the tartar build up!

So, off we went chewing while OTL went back to his box of bits and computer. Now I don't know what all the words were that he was using but we worked out that the electronic box wouldn't  listen to the computer or the computer was talking to the box who didn't understand what the instructions were!

It ended up with OTL calling the box 'The Biggest Pile of Poo' he had seen in a long time!

Holly did suggest that OTL maybe wasn't typing the correct instructions but by the look on OTL's chops we both decided to go and have a snooze downstairs until the air had cleared!

Lunchtime we were down the beach again with Freddy and Wendy who both had a great time.

Freddy dug an enormous hole and was shouting 'Woof Woof' into the bottom expecting Holly and I to hear it!

'Woof, Pigging Woof!'

What he didn't realise was we were up on the grass path enjoying some sniffs, newly arrived in the grass!

Freddy and Wendy were in the ferret bag and on top of the bench, where we always stop for a few minutes. He and OTL were playing a game where OTL would waggle his finger in front of Freddy and he would grab hold of it with his teeth and hold it still!

OTL would then rub his nose on Freddy's nose and Freddy would let go of the finger and lick OTL's nose!

Then Freddy would laugh and grab OTL's finger again!

The pair of them play this game all the time and they think it great fun!

Well, I suppose it keeps them out of trouble!

Back home again and OTL was being boring by playing with the computer and the box until it was time to fetch TM back from her Master Class.

TM was saying that her 'Girls' had produced some fantastic work and how she was 'Tickled Pink' with their results!

We got a rawhide chew each tonight so we have spent ages making the ends nice and soggy!

Wot a Day!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and 'Fun Time' Freddy de Ferret here again!

You know there was ice on the windscreen this morning! Mind you, Old Two Legs was up early and  dashing about 'cos he had an early appointment at the hospital to get his eye checked and make sure it was working!

So, after scraping the ice off it was a dash down to the beach for some 'Speed Wee'ing'! OTL had forgotten to bring the camera, so we were hurried along and told to 'Get on with It'!

Holly and I got left at home and The Missus was taken along so she could drive the car back home. You see they put stuff into OTL's eye that makes his eyes look really weird!

Back home he found his 'Really Cool' sun glasses and off we went for the lunchtime walk.

Wendy was allowed out for a run and because it was sunny, she had a great time sniffing all the sniffs she had missed over the past week!

Poor old Freddy got left behind as soon as he paws touched the ground!

She said it was good to feel the grass again! 

Oi! Speedy Knickers, Wait for me!

 While they were playing games Holly and I found this really Yucky Sniff that we had missed this morning. I gave it a 'Marker Wee' and had it in mind to visit it on the way back to the car!

Just get a Load of this Sniff!

 Down on the beach we had a run around and even got to dig some holes. Miss Wendy said that her tummy was cold because the vet had shaved off her fur for the operation.

OTL said that if she was too cold she could get back in the bag for a small carry.

She got picked up a few times and even Freddy managed to blag a ride up to the bench on top of the hill.

It looked so funny with them both in the bag together having a little cuddle!

This is the way to do our walking exercise!

Freddy decided he was going to have a snooze now that he had managed to get into the bag. Soon he was fast asleep.

The problem with Freddy is that he is not a 'Quiet' sleeper and before long it started!

OMG! He has started to snore, Again!

 It wasn't too long before they were both emptied out and made to walk all the way back to the car!

Holly and I raced ahead and I found that sniff again and I had a really good roll!

It was one of those rolls that sort of oozes all around your shoulders and half way down your back!

I was tied up in the back of the car and OTL had to wind down the window all the way home!

Then I got washed, everywhere, and there wasn't a place that was left unwashed!

Holly and I were in the Poo again, only I was more than Holly 'cos she didn't get a chance to have a go at the sniff!

OTL had to drop of a load of stuff in the afternoon and Holly and I had to stay at home!

Mind you, when OTL got back we noticed a soft sniff of Chicken Fillets, so, we know where he had been!

Tomorrow The Missus is off to one of her master classes so we will be with OTL all day!

We're Famous!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

I don't know what it's been like your end of the world but down here in North Kent it has been super sun shine all day long!

This morning we were down the beach, digging holes in the sand, as usual, when we heard a big Bang out to sea!

Then it went bang again and again and again!

The ferrets didn't know where it was coming from and to be honest, neither did Holly and neither did I!

April got a bit worried and suggested she got back into the ferret bag!

I think I should hide!

 Holly and I stood very still and sniffed to see if there was any dangerous woofers heading our way!

I see no woofers1

 It was Old Two Legs who explained what the Bangs were. It seems that over in Essex, there is a gunnery test site and they test guns and stuff by making them go Bang!

We left them to it and headed off home 'cos we knew there was some Lambs Heart waiting and we were getting hungry!

After a snooze Holly and I decided that we should go out again before Wendy had to go to the vets.

Off we went with Freddy and we met loads of woofers we knew and of course there were loads of Two Legs who wanted to give Freddy a stroke and then take a picture of him cuddled up in t OTL's arms!

Down on the sand Freddy got into digging a hole then he headed off to sniff the sea weed!

OK, now I'm going Hunting!

 He was having a great time running over the sea weed and making it go 'Pop' when he stuck his claws into the bubbly bits!

They're going pop all the time!

 There were no more Bangs coming across the sea so we all felt safe!

Up the top of the grass path, Freddy said there was a strange sniff coming in from the sea. It turned out to be a Wormy Man digging close to the shore and disturbing some oily mud stuff!

Just wot is that sniff?

 Back in the car park we met up with Auntie June who was down with her husband and grandson for a walk along the Sea Wall as far as the old Power Station.

Freddy did his 'Poor Me' thing and got a cuddle from June but after a couple of sniffs he decided there was no food to be had!

No Food, No Cuddles!

 Junes grandson, Alex, asked for a cuddle and Freddy said OK, providing there was some nibbles. It turns out Alex had eaten all his sarnies!

So, that was it, poor Freddy didn't get and nibbles!

You know he's getting more like Holly Dog every day!

I've been conned, no sarnies here either!

 That was it, off we went back home to fetch Wendy 'cos she had an appointment with the vet to get her operation checked.

Off she went with OTL and after some poking about she was declared as 'fit and well' and she can go out for a run with us tomorrow and we can stop giving her the medicine to stop her tummy from getting sore!

So, we are all back to normal again and other than Aprils medicines, we are all 100% fit and well!

OTL says that he is going to give the ferrets ears a clean to get rid of some ear wax and then dust their ears with some stuff to get rid of ear mites which they could pick up when they go out for their walk with us.

So, that's it for today, loads of sun shine and Spring is really here!
