Eric does a John Wayne impression!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de (No Nuts) Ferret!

Well, what a day it was yesterday!

Young Eric came back all sleepy and snoozy. Old Two Legs put him in the 'Holiday Cage' overnight and he managed a couple of poos and tossed his food bowl across the cage!

Situation Normal!

This morning when OTL went in to see him he was awake, still a bit dozy, but as soon as OTL opened the door Eric was out onto OTL's hands giving them a good 'Pleased to see you' lick!

OTL decided to put him back with Miss May and as soon as they met under the blanket, they both started to lick each others face!

'A Ferret Welcome Home'!

OTL decided that Eric should stay indoors until the weekend and only if he is OK will he get a walk out on the beach! So, today Miss May went out on her own, which didn't please Eric 'cos he started to rattle on the cage door!

Down on the beach there were some odd looking clouds in the sky, all sort of 'Wavy'!

Haven't seen that before!
May wasn't interested, all she wanted to do was to have a roll in the Sea Kale, again!

Luxury pure Luxury!
No, OTL didn't tell her off!

Back home Eric was out rampaging around the house, as normal, he was chasing May as well and dooking all the time, so we reckon he was OK!

Lunchtime came and so did the rain, all cold and wet, not my sort of walking weather!

Nor was it Ferret Walking Weather either and both Fred and Wendy stayed tucked up in bed snoozing the day away!

Holly and I got back home and got a good rub down with our Doggy Towel and headed for bed!

We're glad to see that Izzy has got some Puppy Sitters for when she needs a snooze. Poor Hamish, he just doesn't understand what is happening, it's a male thing! No real interest until they can play Fetch or pawball!

We are going to watch out for the cold windy weather, down here on the news they were talking about 'Thunder Snow' same as a thunder storm but with snow instead.

The good thing is that it will all clear up by Saturday when The Missus has her Master Class at the village hall.

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Eric has a 'Sore Spot'!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, we watched the weather forecast and it said there would be rain, wind, possibly snow, howling gales and more rain.

Down here in the 'Soft South' all we got was a bit more wind! Mind you, over the next day or two it will be a struggle to get the ferrets walking if it's too rainy!

The same goes for us woofers as well.

This morning it was almost all blue sky everywhere!

All this before the sun gets up!
Miss May and Eric had a good run on the beach and May even found a super sniff to roll in!

...and just another spot further down my spine!
After we got back home Eric was packed up in the carry cage, complete with a newly washed blanket and off he went to the vets.

When he got there Old Two Legs got presented with a bill which listed Vasectomy AND Castration!

I mean, how can you castrate and vasectomise in one hit!

I mean, it's like having your claws clipped and then chopping your paw off!

Stupid!

OTL then had a discussion with the lady who just didn't see the mistake and it took the vet to also point out the mistake!

Down on the beach it was all grey clouds and wind, so it  looks like the rain may be here overnight.

The build up to a wet night!

Eric was ready to be picked up mid afternoon and when OTL called into the vets, there was Eric in the arms of a nurse getting a cuddle!

He was tired and also sore, or as Eric put it, 'There's something missing but it's still sore!'

It was decided to leave him on his own for the night and OTL got the 'Holiday Cage' in from the shed, fixed it up with food and water plus a big soft bed for Eric to cuddle up on!

In his normal cage he has to negotiate a hole in the floor plus four levels to get down to the toilet area, so to be kind the holiday cage has just a drop down from the pillow into the toilet area and if he wants, he can both eat and drink from his bed!

Luxury or wot!

We are going to keep watch over him tonight and claws crossed, he will be back to normal tomorrow morning.

Mind you, he may be walking with bowed back legs for a few days until it all heals up!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Roll on Springtime!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

I do like it when Spring arrives, you know, all the branches with leaf buds and Hawthorn blossom. The early butterflies, the early birds coming back from Africa and other places!

It's just got to be better that the gloomy weather we see when we go out!

Blue sky but we get rained on!
We met up with a few of the lads and Holly even had a game with Bert who is in love with Holly!

There were some new sniffs on the beach which Holly identified as Goose Poo!

There is more of it over here as well!
We were discussing what goose was responsible when Eric called down the beach that the poo was from a Brant Goose!

Holly was dead impressed that he could tell that from so far away!

That was until we spotted a few Brant Geese steaming along that we realised how he knew!

Sneaky Ferret!

Here come the Brant Geese!
There was a load of cloud going overhead but it not only reflected the sunrise but it was being blown up in the air!

Of course, Old Two Legs spent a good ten minutes trying to get an 'Artistic' shot of it!

It would be alright if it wasn't raining!
Back home it was back to our 'Day Beds' for a nice warm snooze while OTL got on with engineering the latest order.

It was just before lunchtime that he went out delivering while Holly and I had to stay at home. When he came home there was a 'Interesting Sniff' about him, he had been into the Doggy Shop, without us!

Mind you, we forgave him 'cos he went in to get some anti flea stuff for the ferrets and, while he was on his way to the checkout, he spotted some antler horns for sale. Well, chopped up antlers. Now he remembered that Hamish, Bella and Izzy liked chewing antler, so as an experiment he purchased two small bits. Mind you, he did say that the antler better had last a long time 'cos they were a fortune!

He still hasn't given us the antler yet 'cos we haven't eaten all our chicken yet but I can see us getting the antler tonight!

OTL has said that if we don't finish it, the ferrets can have a chew!

Yeah! Like are we leaving anything for those Guzzle Guts!

Eric is off to the vets tomorrow morning and providing all is OK we expect to see him back tomorrow evening, minus his 'Toys'!

Bye bye for now.

luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

We don't like Wet!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Oh wot a Horrid Day today!

It started off being all sort of cold and damp first thing this morning, not a beam of sun light anywhere, just clouds. In fact it it was so dull that Old Two Legs didn't even take his camera out of the bag!

May and Eric didn't hang about either, as soon as their paws hit the ground they we steaming off towards the car!

Today, we decided, was a day for keeping out heads down and snoozing the day away in the comfort of a nice warm 'Day Bed'!

We can imaging Archie Babe doing the same thing, no messing about with Froggy Chops, Chewed Apples or any thing else that sniffs!

The ferrets had a fun time charging about and at one time young Eric was chasing May so much that she got fed up, turned around and Hissed at him!

Now when a ferret hisses at you you can bet they mean serious business and you have upset them!

We had Freddy hiss at Holly and me when he first turned up at our house. He was exploring the house, had got to the bedroom where Holly and I were resting on top of the bed and when he spotted us peering over the edge of the bed, he gave out a whacking big 'Hiss' that really meant business!

OTL has been keeping an eye on Eric 'cos it is getting close to Baby Making Time and his wottsits have dropped plus he is leaving little 'Marker Wee's' around the place, a sure sign he is marking his territory and that warning off other Ferret Hobs and it also tells the Ladies that he is a Big Bold Boy looking for mate!

He has been practising his fighting moves with OTL who ends up with scratches and bite marks on his hands!

This morning OTL telephoned the vet and has booked Eric in on Wednesday to have his 'Crown Jewels' removed!

We reckon Eric will be sore for a few days so we will have to be gentle with him!

Lunchtime we were a little late going out for our walk and by the time we were ready it was raining!

No one likes rain, not even OTL!

It was fun waking Freddy up 'cos he was fast asleep cuddling his 'Teddy'!

Freddy just loves squeaky balls and cuddling his 'Egg'
It took a while to get him and Wendy to wake up and when we got down the beach they both refused to come out of the Ferret Bag!

Back home again, slightly damp and straight off to our 'Day Beds' where we snuggled down and left OTL plonking away on the keyboard!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A Super Lazy Sunday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret reporting again!

It has been a super day today, it started off with Old Two Legs getting up early, that means we are down the beach early so we catch the sunrise. Only, we didn't 'cos we were down there before the sun got up and we were away over the hill before it climbed above Sheerness!

So all OTL got was the 'Pre-Glow' , so it wasn't too bad!

We beat the sun today!
The only real problem with the morning walk was I lost the ball!

OTL kicked the ball up the beach and I ran after it and dug a big hole to put it in, then Holly and I had a game of 'Chase' up and down the beach until we noticed that OTL and the ferrets were half way up the grass path and heading for the car!

Off we went like Rocket Powered Puppy's to catch them up, forgetting the ball that was at the bottom of a sand hole!

When we came back at lunchtime it had gone, the hole and the ball!

We spotted a 'Wormy Man' coming back from the mud but his bucket didn't seem too full of worms, maybe he has had a bad day. Mind you, if he had a bad day then the worms had a good day!

Half a dozen worms, that is all!
The clouds were slowly bringing the night back, it is strange to see the night creep back after such a sunny day!

The night creeping in and it's only three fifteen!

We woofed at a couple of woofers who were too far away to be of any danger and then chased after OTL and the ferrets who by now had reached the Grass Path at the top of the hill!

The clouds were rolling in just like a thunder storm and we all agreed it was getting dark!

The sun is poking out but it is still dark over the river!
So, a lost ball but a relaxing day. Holly has spent some time on the sofa with her legs stretched out straight and looking like she was flying like Super Man!

Tomorrow OTL is going to make an appointment with the vet to get Eric 'Done'! It should be done before the end of this month 'cos after that the 'Breeding Season' starts and he might just start to get a bit Whiffy and we don't want Whiffy Ferrets in the office while OTL is trying to work!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A Quiet Saturday.

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here.

Well, not a lot to report today. We were up early 'cos The Missus had to take all her stuff up to the village hall for the Master Class today.

So, off we went while it was still dark and misty and with just a hint of rain in the air.

Down on the beach it was all grey and misty as well, not the most exciting dawn we have seen this week!

Not very awe inspiring is it?
Back home it was cage cleaning and finishing off the last bits of paperwork left over from the past week.

May and Eric had a great time rampaging about the house and kicking the ping pong balls all over the place. When they had finished it was Fred and Wendy's turn to have some fun.

As well as playing 'Tickle Tums' with Old Two Legs they spent time exploring the kitchen and all the places where our treats are kept.

OTL was up stairs in the office when he heard a whirling sound like an electric thingy working. So, off went OTL to find out what was making the noise. Now the Washing Machine and the Dishwasher don't have 'Delayed Starts' on them so he was looking at the Bread Making Engine or maybe a Food Mixer that might have gone off but when he got to the kitchen he found the electric carpet sweeper going full blast!

It seems that one of the ferrets had jumped down off the shelf where the treats are kept and landed on the 'Start' button on the sweeper and off it went!

Of course, neither of the ferrets would admit to starting the sweeper but OTL thinks it could be Miss Wendy!

Lunchtime  we we back on the beach again and nothing had changed, it was still grey and misty!

Inspiring?
Well, not the best shot he has taken!

We spotted some branches that were covered in Lichen that looked good against the dull weather, so we suggested a shot, just to brighten up the blog!

The other colours are green and black!
Freddy and Wendy spent some time sniffing around on the beach but in the end had to give up 'cos there just were not the sniffs around!

I must say, this is a bit boring, not even a Weasel Wee!
Back home we got our monthly dose of anti flea stuff that OTL puts on our shoulders. OTL will have to get some for the ferrets this week 'cos he has run out of the stuff.

That means we will get some nibbles if we go with him 'cos he has to go to the Doggy Shop to get the anti flea stuff!

Yum! Yum!

See you all tomorrow!

Friday, 6 January 2017

Hello Friday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here.

You know wot? Just a moment ago it was Monday and just look where we are now!

We were up early this morning, well I was, you see I had lost my Bonio Biscuit and I thought Holly might have pinched it, so I went on a 'Safari' around the bed looking for it!

First I stuck my nose under Holly but all I got was a grumble from her! I then went to see if The Missus was nibbling it but instead it was her snoring!

The last place I looked was Old Two Legs but he never pinches my biscuit 'cos his teeth are wobbly and crunching a Bonio needs strong teeth!

So, I stuck my nose in his ear and asked him if he had seen my Bonio and could he help me find it?

OTL woke up quickly and told me I had eaten it when I came to bed and as it was two thirty he wasn't going to get me another one!

Well, actually I've changed a couple of words 'cos he tends to use 'colourful' words when it is still dark and he has a wet nose in his ear!

Finally, it was time to get up and as it was six on the clock I went hunting again. In the end I found my biscuit under OTL's pillow, just where I had left it last night!

Our morning walk down on the beach wasn't as cold as yesterday, even though OTL had to scrape ice off the windscreen of the car.

We saw the sun climb over Sheerness!

Good Morning World!

Holly and I went on a 'Sniff Hunt' and found some frosty sniffs that we reckon were left over from yesterday!

Well, the sea hasn't got as far as this to wash the beach!
OTL had to go out to the carrier so Holly and I decided to wait at home for him to return for our Lunch Time Walk.

Back he cam but it was raining, not much but wet anyway!

So, armed with our Doggy Towel we headed towards the beach!

Lucky for us the rain stopped by the time we got to the beach so Holy and I had a game of 'Dig and Whizz' which I won!

I whizzed so fast you couldn't see me!
Heading back we spotted a hairy looking woofer, on his own, looking at us!

Well, we didn't like the way he was looking at us so we stood there and returned the stare.

Holly said we should do a 'Big Woof' and see what he does, so we did but he still stood there!

Then he blinked, well he sat down and scratched his ear. That was enough for us and we rushed over to him and we all had a Three Way Sniff!
Wadda You reckon, lets rush him and have a sniff!
It fun meeting other woofers for a sniff but you have to be careful!

Some of them can be bigger than you!

Back home we enjoyed an afternoon snooze in OTL's office while he cleared up all the bits of paper on his desk, all ready for the weekend!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Freddy leaves his mark!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

It's Thursday already!

It was too cold to take the ferrets this morning so while we were out down the beach May and Eric were rampaging all over the house.

The Missus kept an eye on them 'cos she was catching up with the ironing.

Not that it worried Eric as he chased Miss May all over the place!

We were heading to the beach when Old Two Legs took a picture of the sunrise, behind the power station chimneys.

Steamy or Wot!
The Beach Photo was a bit dark 'cos the sun was right up so everything looked dark, a chance for OTL to get artistic?

Well, maybe not!
We met up with Marley who we haven't seen since before Christmas, he came charging up the hill to give OTL a cuddle then he was off back to his Two Legs who was calling him!

Just had a cuddle with OTL!
Holly and I are not really sure about Marley, you see it was OK when he was a small puppy but since he has grown up a bit he has got very large. We have a sniff but most of the time we stay away and let him and OTL get on with it!

Just how long is he going to be?
In the end Holly and I went off to the beach and found some Weasel Wee but it was old 'cos it was frozen!

Gawd! That's rock hard!
Lunchtime saw OTL working hard in the office getting some orders packed up for shipment tomorrow. Holly and I were down stairs having a snooze on the sofa while Eric was allowed out of his cage for a rampage around the office.

He on the desk where OTL had printed up the orders and some delivery notes.

Eric was blagging some Ferretone and a bit of chicken strips when he saw OTL opening the chicken strip bag, he got all excited at the thought of some more treats and did a wee over the orders and delivery notes!

Eric had left his mark!

That was it, he was back in his cage and heading towards the bed!

It was good to see the pictures of the puppies yesterday, they certainly have put on some weight!

Holly's Grumbly Tum is better, not fully better but better and she is still on the medicine.

Tomorrow we hear that it will be cold but over the weekend it should be a lot warmer, which is OK as far as Eric is concerned 'cos he says that running along in the frosty ground ended up with him getting a cold tummy!

So, claws crossed, he will get a good run this weekend and even some digging on the beach!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Here comes the rain!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, after the cold day yesterday when the temperature dropped below freezing, today it has been different, rain!

Mind you, the temperature is now up to six degrees, so the rain will stay as rain and not fall as snow, well, down South anyway, where we are!

So, instead of introducing the ferrets to a drop of snow, we all end up with soggy paws and damp tummies!

We know some woofers that have yet to experience all these things, Izzy's pups. All they know at the moment is food, sleep, wee, poo, food, sleep, wee, poo, etc!

I can almost remember when I was a pup and I always seemed to have a full tum!

Happiness is a full tummy!
Holly Chops says that you don't have to be a puppy to enjoy a full tummy and she should know!

We left Old Two Legs working away to catch up with some orders he has had in since the New Year.

Holly and I crashed out in his office and Holly showed off 'cos Miss Wendy came to the side of the cage that Holly was resting against and did a whacking great sniffy poo, just by Holly's ear!

Holly was not a happy woofer!

Mind you, Miss Wendy didn't care!

Lunchtime we went out walking along the beach and OTL left the ferrets in bed 'cos it was a little windy and on top of that we had some errands to do, like take stuff to the carriers, visit B&Q for a light bulb for OTL's clothes cupboard.

Of course all that is sort of close'ish to the Doggy Shop!

Yep! In we went and loaded up with our treats and some stuff for the ferrets and a bottle of disinfectant for the ferrets cage and any spots around the house where they may have an 'accident'!

So, that's our day, we are slowly getting back to work and Holly's tum is getting better, she is taking the ProKolin which sort of 'Bungs You Up' until your butt is better!

She also says that the pills are great when cut in half and mixed up with some creamy blue cheese and spread over a water biscuit!

Just how I like it too!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Brass Monkey Weather!

Hi Woofers!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

It has been terrible today!

This morning it was freezing, like, so cold that Old Two Legs let the ferrets stay at home while Holly and I froze our tails off on the beach!

Both sets of ferrets got let off the beach run today. I'm not too sure if OTL was feeling sorry for them or he just didn't want to hang about waiting for them to finish rummaging around in the frozen grass!

Can you imagine what will happen if the Snow Fairy visits!

You know, it was so cold that OTL left his camera in the car, put on his big gloves and said it was 'Brass Monkey Weather'!

Back home we came across the man from the garage who had come to collect the big car for a service. OTL reckons there should me nothing too expensive to repair this time, but he was keeping his claws crossed!

Lunchtime we were down the beach again and there, on the beach, tucked under the Sea Wall was a female Two Legs, sitting on the shells, back against the wall reading a news paper, The Sun!

There is always one you can meet!
OTL said 'Hello' and she just looked at him and mumbled something which OTL reckons was 'Clear Orf'!

No, I didn't understand her either!
We left her sitting there trying to  get either a tan or frostbite!

Holly managed to develop a Grumbly Tum over the last couple of days and today it got to the stage where OTL had to take her to the vets!

My butt don't feel too good!
At home, OTL gave her butt a wipe and kept it as a 'Sample' for the vet. He needn't have bothered 'cos when Holly arrived at the vets, in the middle of the waiting room, she let go a pile on the floor!

Well, it wasn't a pile really 'cos it sort of went 'Splat' and stayed there until the vet came out.

'Aha! I see wot the problem is' says the vet, sharpening up a stabbing needle and he gave Holly a dose of antibiotic into her shoulder and sent OTL off with some tablets and that ProKolin wot bungs you up!

OTL was weeping again at the size of the bill and said he was seriously considering getting a muzzle for Holly Chops to stop her eating anything other than what The Missus gives her!

Just for now though,  Holly has the same dustbin sized pills I had and the ProKolin stuff.

I can see Holly going off for an early night tonight 'cos as she says, she has a 'Sore Butt'!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.
