Happy Birthday Miss May!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back with you again!


Yep! Happy Birthday to little Miss May, she is, we think, four years old, plus or minus six months!


May and her sister, April came to live with us a couple of years ago. After we lost April Miss May was joined by Eric de Ferret who has been a great mate for May.


It is a pity that today has been so wet but we managed to get May and Eric out for a run on the beach this morning. We didn't meet anyone but Old Two Legs got chatting to one of his mates, so we all fell asleep on the sand!


We managed to get back home just before the rain started and the wet has continued ever since!


Lunchtime we didn't get a walk 'cos the rain was falling but OTL promised we can go for a wee in the back garden if we get desperate!


May and Eric went off to the vet to get her distemper jab and May decided not to bite the vet 'cos he was only doing his job!


It was the same vet who operated on Eric when he lost his 'Crown Jewels' so Eric was a little wary of him, even when he got picked up and investigated by the vet who says it looks all OK under Eric's tail!!


It has been raining all afternoon, so we still haven't got out and to be honest we would rather not go out and get wet!


We have been playing games with Eric and May and Holly has even stopped woofing at her, just for today!


So, if you are all ready, we are all going to join in together with the 'Miss May's Happy Birthday' song!

We have been playing around on Google Translate and managed to sing that to her in 'Ferret Language' which is a little difficult for us woofers and almost impossible for OTL!


May was rolling on her back laughing her tail off when we all sang it to her first of all and she has been asking us to sing it again and again all day!

She says our 'Ferret' is better than English!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back with you again!

Tomorrow Miss May is off to the vet so she can get stabbed. The ferrets get stabbed against Distemper every two years. Us woofers get stabbed once a year!

Now I reckon there is something wrong there, I mean, what has a ferret got that spreads out the  Distemper stuff for two years?

Still, Old Two Legs says that May should look on it as a good thing 'cos not many ferrets get a Distemper Jab for their birthday!

Yep, tomorrow is May's birthday!

We all reckon she is four years old, plus or minus six months!

Next Tuesday it is Freddy Boys birthday but he doesn't have to be stabbed!

We all reckon Freddy to be five years old, again, plus or minus six months!

Of course, Eric had to show off by saying he is only a year and a bit old and looks better than everyone!

Just get a look at this cool young dude!

 What Eric didn't know was that a new woofer on the block was eyeing him from the Sea Wall and it wasn't until he asked if ferrets taste like chicken that Eric decided to spend some time in the ferret bag!

Oooooh! I bet he does taste like chicken!

 Lunch time we were back again but with Freddy and Wendy. Freddy enjoyed a walk while Miss Wendy decided to stay in OTL's arms until we got to the beach.

I went off swimming straight away, in fact, OTL took my harness off so I don't get it wet. As soon as he had done that I was tearing down the beach and SPLOSH, in I went!

There is nothing like a good splosh to cool you down!

Holly Chops was relaxing on the beach, not getting her paws wet and making 'Angels' in the sand.

It was OK waving her paws up and down but her tail didn't make too much of an impression!

Hey! What do you think of my Angel?

 OTL told her it looked like a turtle had been running up and down the beach and not an angel!

OTL has been busy again this afternoon while Holly and I have been snoozing on the day beds.

Every time Freddy comes down for a wee or a poo, Holly woofs at him, not that Freddy cares but Holly ends up going down stairs 'cos she says that ferret poo is not the sniff she likes!

As if Freddy is bothered!

It's Monday, so that means Work!

Hello Woofers!

We are here again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, after Old Two Legs lack of orders over the last week, we have gone potty today! Orders have been arriving like a snow storm and poor OTL has been rushing around like a blue tailed fly!

Of course, that means us woofers have been good woofers and have let him get on with it without too much interference!

First thing this morning we were playing in the sand and both Eric and May said they could easily spend the morning snoozing on the beach.

Any one got a pillow so I can rest my head?

Holly said she could as well, providing someone brought the food along!

A beach is supposed to be the place for a picnic, so, who's got the food?

 I wasn't too fussed about the food, I was more interested in the lack of water!

It would be more fun with something to go Splosh in!

 Lunchtime proved to be fun. You see, when we got down to the beach again there was this dozy Sheep Dog Looking thing that was standing on the beach watching a ball that was floating on the waves. Every so often it decided that the ball had gone out far enough and would rush into the water that came just over her paws, pick the ball up and bring it back to the shore where the ball would get washed out to sea again!

We all had a good laugh at this woofer and just for fun, I stood behind her saying I would get the ball next time it floated out!

We get them all on our beach!

 I never got the ball and I decided to leave them alone, I mean, the Two Legs was just as daft standing there looking at the ball as well!

 OTL went out this afternoon to see some customers and deliver some bits, so Holly and I stood guard up at the bedroom window waiting for him to come back 'cos tonight he has Venison Steak and both Holly and I want to share, providing he has some eggy yoke to dip the venison in!

I just LOVE venison dipped in eggy!

Fun Sunday!

Hello Woofers!

We are here again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

We love Sunday's, providing The Missus isn't banging and crashing around down stairs with her crafty stuff!

Unfortunately, for us TM has no Master Class but that didn't stop her from getting up early and marching around the house re-locating her stamps and sheets of steel and tons of paper and card, then there is all the paint, glue, distress paint, jello and some stuff we don't know what it is!

So, there we were gently snoozing when there is a massive crashing sound that signifies that TM is 'Tidying Things' downstairs!

So, a bit earlier than we had planned, we were down on the beach with May and Eric, May was still snoozy but Eric was up for a game!

Well, Eric was going to chase Holly but before he could get going we were joined by the Two Bob Boys!

Now they just wanted a sniff of ferret but Eric took one look and ran back to OTL and climbed up his leg and then into his arms!

So, who's a big brave ferret then?

We had great time sniffing our way back to the car and Eric got the mickey taken out of him for being a big wimpy ferret!

Back home we had a big bowl of chicken and  then headed off to the office for a snooze on our day beds.

Lunchtime we collected Fred and Wendy and headed off to the beach again.

On Sundays, we get loads of tourists visiting the beach and they fill the car park up, so OTL goes to the 'Second Car Park' where there is a big football field for us to run on! Plus we can get to the beach by going along a short cut.

OK, where have the ferrets gone?

 As it is Sunday and the sun is shining, OTL allowed me to go in for a swim! He even helped me take off my harness so it didn't get wet and I went..................SPLOSH!

Nothing like a roll in the sand after a swim!

 There were some tourists and they had a load of Mini Two Legs with them. Holly remembered them from last week and they remembered Fred and Wendy's names!

So, we allowed them a stroke of the ferrets and even Holly got a tickle behind the ear!

Then it was back to the car and a run across the football pitch with the ferrets!

Back home we had a relaxing time cuddled up to OTL while he watched a DVD!

Well, it's better than working!

Saturday Fun and Games!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Wot a super day! It started off with The Missus getting up very early this morning. You see it is the Master Class today and she had to get all the tables set up and all the stuff ready for the ladies to sling the glue and glitter about!

That means we were woken early by the banging and crashing of all her boxes full of stuff being loaded into the car! Poor Old Two Legs tried putting his head under the pillow but the noise still got through and in the end he had to get up!

Well, you know the result of getting up too early? Yes, that's right, it's still dark outside!

Although it wasn't really dark, OTL was playing with the camera and made it look like it felt, too early!

We don't do early mornings!

 Now, Miss May has been rather tired the last few days and when OTL went to get her so he could put the harness on her, he found she had gone back to bed and was snoozing!

Being a kind sort he decided to leave her snoozing and just take young Eric instead.

It's strange not having her here to boss me about!

 Eric said he felt a bit lost but it wasn't long before he joined in the fun and even tried to nip Holly's back legs!

OK, Who Did That!

Holly didn't see him coming 'cos she was too busy digging a hole!

Eric was playing about and told us that he was from Royal Stock and when he looks in the mirror he can see his Royal Bearing!

Is this Royalty or wot?

Holly says that the only thing that is Royal about Eric is the Raspberry he blows when he has a poo!

Lunchtime the tide was in and I managed to get a quick dip in the water, Sooooper!

Oooooooooh! This feels good!

 Well, it was great fun until Darcy came bounding along the beach, we had not seen Darcy for a good six weeks. Seems that Darcy managed to step down a rabbit hole and pull a leg tendon which hurt!

After some anti-inflammatory pills it seems to be working. I supose it was a bit like when I had a bad leg from catching it on the rocks!

Yo! OTL! I've missed seeing you!

 We all said hello and us woofers had a chat about sniffs and stuff when along the Sea Wall came a Husky looking woofer who was a bit wet. We know that 'cos when he went to OTL for a stroke OTL said 'YUK! A wet and soggy doggy!'

I've been in swimming!

 Back home, OTL has been catching up on his Game of Thrones episodes that have been recorded. Holly and I got a nibble of Doggy Scoff, and as we were both a bit peckish, we managed to get through half a bowl, savine the final half for later tonight before we got to bed!

Sunday tomorrow, with a bit of luck we will get a lay in and the sun will be up when we go out for a walk!

I'd Like to Make an Appointment please!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Another sunny day down here, there was a moment when we thought it might rain but lucky for us it stayed away!

Holly's eyes are getting better and Old Two Legs is running out of ointment! We reckon that by the time it's all gone, her eye will have fully mended!

We were up early today 'cos The Missus was banging and crashing downstairs making a card thingy!

Is it right that you have to bang these 'Works of Art' with a rubber hammer? I mean, saying that you are trying to create an 'Effect' is no excuse!

Down on the beach there was no one to be seen, it was all clear all over the place, just us!

No one is here, just the early morning ship in from Hamburg!

We did see the Two Bob Boys but we were almost back to the car by then!

OTL has been preparing the 'Books' for the new accountant, so we left him alone, until midday when it was time for our walkies!

Down on the beach is was all clear again, no Mini TL's.

It was just great tearing about all over the place looking for a sniff to roll in!

Got One! I've Got One!

 On the path back we found a Green-veined White who was feeling sorry for himself and he has glittery sparkles on the top of his wing!

Must be a 'Crafty Person'!

Do you bang the sparkles with a rubber hammer?

 Back home the ferrets have a run around and Miss May, after her time on the beach said she was feeling a little tired, so she curled up in OTL's hand, wrapped her tail over her nose and fell asleep!

TM took the photograph on her phone and OTL had some fun trying to make it all Arty!

And no, he didn't use a rubber hammer!

When you gotta sleep, then you just gotta sleep!

 Miss May has been booked in for her Distemper injection next week, you know it has been two years since she and her sister moved in with us, time flies!

OTL was on the phone making another appointment but this is with the dentist, he has got to go for his yearly checkup. Normally that means a filing or two and tear stains all over his cheque book!

Poor Lad!

It's a Ferret sort of day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Ever get one of those days when nothing much happens? Well, today has been one of them.

It started early this morning when we got woken up by The Missus crashing about producing another masterpiece that will have FaceAche going Oooo and Aaaah!

We were out for our morning walk a little earlier than normal and Holly didn't have her medicine until we got back!

As you know, she has got a dose of Conjunctivitis which makes her eyes a little sore and a whole lot of Gungy!

OTL washes all the muck out and puts drops in her eyes which will make it all better!

One of the best things about our hair cut is that we can have a good roll on the beach and have a good shake to throw the sand off leaving just the sniff!

A Doggy's version of Exfoliation!

 Mind you, Miss May joined in as well!

This beats sleeping!

Of course, OTL was jumping up and down but no one was listening!

Holly got her eye drops and we all headed for our bed in OTL's office.

Lunchtime we were down the beach again and this time Freddy and Wendy decided to catch a few rays as the sun had come out.

This is the best way to have a game on the beach, I could even have a snooze!

 Of course, Holly and I were back doing the 'Roll' on the sand again and doing it while at the same time kicking your paws in the air is just the best thing possible!

This is Luxury!

 I must admit, once OTL had stopped shouting, it felt good!

The only thing that would make this better is a load of cool water to swim in!

All the ferrets have been having great fun at home. While their cages get cleaned, they are given the run of the house. Now that is OK but little Wendy has discovered that if she pinches OTL's sock from the washing bin, they can make a very comfortable bed if hidden underneath the sofa!

Miss May has worked out how to open the cupboard in the kitchen where TM keeps our treats. After opening the cupboard May and Eric rummage around and carry off our teeth cleaning chews and some Chicken Twists!

Freddy has found out how to get OTL to open up the Ferretone bottle, he climbs up onto OTL's shoulder then gives OTL's eat a good licking!

Sneaky or wot!

OTL has got Venison Steak tonight, that means I get a nibble of Venison, dipped into some eggy yoke and inside is hidden my pill!

I don't mind OTL hiding the pill 'cos an eggy bit of venison is just soooo tasty!

Tomorrow it's Friday, we get to woof at the dustbin men, that is always good fun!

OTL's Looking at a Blaster!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Well, Archie Babe, how did it go at the Poodle Parlour? Did they shave your important places? When OTL had a go at me I had to stand very still when he was waving the scissors between my back legs!

Hey, what do you think of my tail? I reckon it is better than the Poodle Parlour does and I just love the way it folds over my back!

This is Class!

 Freddy was getting a cuddle from Old Two Legs on his way down to the beach. Freddy wanted to have a 'Selfie' of him and OTL. Now, it is a good job that OTL has got long arms 'cos there was no way Freddy could hold the camera!

Pity OTL wasn't looking at the camera!

 While Freddy was playing with the camera, Miss Wendy was off hunting Nargles in the sea weed. We thought she had found one but it turned out to be a small crab with a limp!

That was close, he was waving his claws at me!

 Pretty soon they were both back on the beach having a sniff at all new sniffs that the tide had left behind!

Well, I found this super sniff over there by the bush!

 We got back home just before it started to rain. Not very much rain really, just enough to wash the road and register on OTL's weather thingy, 1.6mm it read!

While the rain was washing the garden, OTL found one of those drying machines that are used to blow dry woofers. This thing was on Ebay and it said 'Buy Now or Make an Offer', so OTL made an offer £13.00 under the Buy Now price.

Let's see what happens, we may end up giving TM's hair dryer back!

A New Year and a New Hair Cut & Blow Dry!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

I dunno about rain for the next nine days, it's been sunny for ages and no sign of rain anywhere!

Remember I told you about Old Two Legs being in business for ages? Well, today is the first day of the new year and  to mark the occasion, no one ordered a thing!

Which, when you hear the tale, it was a good thing 'cos that means OTL doesn't get disturbed as he gives me a Hair Cut!

Mid morning the man arrived from Amazon and left a package which when opened was found to contain a set of scissors and a steel comb!

The time had come.

OTL decided that he would 'Sort Me Out' after the lunchtime walk.

Holly Chops was trying to wind me up by saying that I'd never look as good as she does and that OTL said it would be easier cutting her hair than mine!

She minced along the Sea Wall wiggling her backside and waving her tail! 

You've either got it or you haven't, and I have!

 We met up with a family of Two Legs with a load of Mini Two Legs. They were making such a noise, and when we got closer we found the Mini Tl's all had mobile phones and were playing some sort of game!

OTL said they could have much more fun if they buried the phones in the sand and then played 'Hunt The Phone Ring'!

Come on, let's dig a hole for the phones!

 Holly sniffed the food they had brought but try as she might they wouldn't let her have a nibble!

I bet they got food down there!

 OTL said that the beginning of the holidays looked like being a warm one here in North Kent and that the sea looked as blue as the Mediterranean, wot ever that is!

Wot is a Mediterranean?

 We still got loads of flowers on the Sea Front and this one caught OTL's eye.

OTL loves flowers but he also has Hayfever, so the flowers are no good to him!

 Well, it couldn't be put off any longer, we got home and I got washed, brushed, blow dried. I then got shaved, snipped and trimmed in all my important places!

As OTL had a little practise with Holly, he was a little more confident when he started hacking away at me!

I was all big and brave and he only had to put those straps on me a couple of times 'cos most of the time I stood still and let him get on with it!

By the time he had finished it didn't look too bad, my whiskers weren't quite level but I'm being picky!

My hair isn't as short as when the Poodle Parlour cut it but I prefer it a bit longer, especially on my legs.

You will have to wait until tomorrow for a better shot but this will give you a taster!

As OTL says, I look like a Shaggy Dogs Tail!

OTL says he is amazed on just how much hair he has shaved off me!

He says that one of the best things is, he has just saved another thirty pounds!

Year End for OTL!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

We have been fun today, Old Two Legs is doing what he calls 'Year End' which roughly translates as 'Piles of Paper and a New Battery for the Desk Calculator'!

OTL reckons he has been 'In Business' now for twenty three years and tomorrow will be the start of year twenty four!

It has been sunny down here in North Kent, no storms or rain at all. We hear that Izzy's Mum is doing well, she has been dancing around the house with the feather duster!

Now Monday has arrived, all the weekend visitors have cleared off so we get the beach to ourselves!

Just so many sniffs after they have all gone!

Holly woke up with sore eyes this morning, so OTL has made an appointment with the vet to get some ointment for her conjunctivitis!

I'm glad I don't get it 'cos it looks all gungy and her eyes are red and sore as well!

Lunchtime we spotted some Mini Two Legs on the beach with the Grand Parents but we stayed away! I don't like it when they chase after us!

At lunchtime we go to a different car park 'cos the ferrets love to have a run on the football pitch.

Holly keeps on getting chased by Freddy but Holly stays just out of reach!

Catch me if you can Rat Chops!

 Eric does manage to get Holly sometimes but Freddy is a bit slow, but one day he will catch her out you can be sure!

Holly's appointment is at six forty five so I reckon we will be getting dinner early today!

OTL says that the new scissors should be here by Wednesday, so I may get a hair cut soon and OTL says he will have another go at Holly, especially on her 'Boots' 'cos he reckons they need a little more off. Plus of course, her head needs tidying up as well!

Holly reckons that we should have a go at OTL's hair when he needs a trim, he would look great with Punk Hair Do!
